The plant is showing signs of being completely ready and I decided to test the Myth of putting the plan 48 hours in darkness one plant I decided to chop it down right away the other one I will put it in 48 hours of darkness and I'm going to see if there is any true difference in flavour and taste or Racine since both plans are clones they should be identical in end so any true difference between them will show If there is any truth to the myth or put it down as a false. Despite being lots of mistakes along the way and suffering a lot from many different issues the plant has grown nicely in the garden and it has thrive in the Canadian environment. I will update later on when the plans are completely dry and I cut it for for the curing process and also for check out how heavy they are thank you for reading have a happy grow. After three weeks in curing process there is no true difference between both of them neither a bag of peel but unfortunately the one that I cut first retain more flavor and smell typical of the plant rather than the one that was left 48 hours in darkness the only thing I have not test is for rosin production because my machine have not arrived yet other than that the one that I not allowed any dark. Has better high better flavour and better smell than the other one this doesn’t mean that the 48 hrs. Doesn’t have any validation this only proves that in my garden I have no practical application for this technique . Thank you for reading have a happy grow

Good week of growth. Bud sites are starting to come together. Brooke is still really close to light, will see what happens. Bent branches are doing well. 10-2 Buds are starting to look like buds. Got first good photos of forming colas.

Harvesting today

Starting this diary to participate in the Tent-X Ultimate Grow Challenge. Using 10x strawberry cookies from super sativa seeds club We are growing with 7 liter pots in light mix using biogrow and biobloom ase base nutrients from greenhouse feeding + addictives from Xpert nutrients. Light by marshydro and of course the control panel from Tent-X Trolmaster We germinated the 15th of January and the small little plants popped in some days, being totally formed as seedling the 20th more or less. Week 1 of veg started the 20th!

Buds starting to bulk up some and trichomes starting to form

The first week of Flower is just about in the books. A big week from the girls perspective, but relatively quiet from this growers point of view. On Sun., 5/16 The lights went out @ 8pm to kick off the first week of Flower. On Monday evening around 7pm they got 1 gallon each of the new nutrient mix Bloom A & B and I decided to raise the light up to 36". I wanted to give the ladies a reason to grow again...(I think they came thru.) No water or nutes on Tues. Wed., 5/19 they got another gallon each of nutes, but run-off was more than I expected, so I knew they were getting skipped Thurs. On Fri., 5/21 I lifted the pots again before watering to make a final decision and I was surprised that they were still kind of heavy. Well yes and no. It rained a lot this week and humidity was a b!tch to maintain. I had to buy a new dehumidifier to try and even things out because the small one that I can fit inside my tent just wasn't cutting it, even with the portable air conditioner. There were 3 days were I wasn't able to get the humidity lower that 80% before I was able to get the dehumidifier. I think they girls were stressed and didn't drink as much as they would have...anyway on Fri., 5/21 I gave them 1/3 gallon each of water, no nutes. I figured they'd drink that up and they'd be ready for big water today (Sat., 6/22) but they still felt like there was some weight in there towards the bottom 1/3, so nothing more till tomorrow. I pushed the stakes down a little bit for some LST but that's it. Again, I think it was the humidity this week that kept them from drinking. Today was really the first day all week it hasn't rained at least a little. I have the dehumidifier and the portable A/C off at the moment (after 9pm) and it's about 75 F. and 48% Hum. in the tent. Sad to say, no little balls that I can notice growing yet...but the girls did get a little growth spurt. Comparing the pics/measurements from last week to today, well, here are the numbers. I think I'm being realistically conservative. You can look at the pics and decide for yourself if where I'm measuring to is the right place. Triple Cheese last week: 15.5' this week: 18.5" White Widow last week: 14" this week: 16.5" Critical Kush last week: 16" this week: 20.5" So it looks like the ladies on the ends have taken over the Widow in the middle by a significant margin now. I think that covers everything this week. More to come next week.

All week I have been doing root flushing

Alrighty, guys and gals it's another res change and another opportunity to make mistakes haha. All in all, I actually got a lot of helpful advice through the questions forum so a big shout out to anyone that helped with those issues. Unfortunately with the rest of the canopy being somewhat the same height, I decided to leave the lights on 100%. I can't raise them any higher and I just have to better in veg when it comes to keeping the canopy even and encouraging bud sites. I'm super tempted to trim up the top big fan leaves but I honestly am not sure if it would help any at this point in time. I'm looking forward to giving the buds more time to grow though and I'm hoping a surprise myself with a great turnout. I'm still at a loss for when to harvest as far as what to look for with the buds aesthetically. I've heard the trichomes cloudy bit so many times but I guess I just cant tell if I should harvest what's larger done and cloudy then harvest the rest later etc.

So she got the chop 2 weeks prior to what I wanted, but I did not lollipop enough doing this Scrog and suffered high humidity, lack of airflow and as a result lost 4 tops... Out of 16 big ones. But I have harvest, wet trimmed and left to hang dry in a room on clothes drier. Room circulation fan on low, and temp is 22c with 51% humidity. Aiming for a 10day dry it maybe sooner. 🌿 Grow Update: Week 6 of Flower 🌸 Hey growers, We're cruising through Week 6 of flowering, and I gotta say, things are looking solid in my grow setup. This being my first rodeo, I'm pretty stoked with how it's all turning out. The plant's rocking a deep green, which could be a bit of nitrogen overload or just her natural vibe. Regardless, she's thriving, Ive been so stupid letting her get so big in a 5gallon i wouldn't be surprised if she is rootbound.. Got a bit of a snag with some lower bud sites getting overshadowed by the top canopy. Didn't want to push my luck with more defoliation i cant really at this point of flower, but hey, it's all a learning experience next round, I'll be more surgical. Already thinking about the next grow — tossing in a couple of plants in 5-gallon pots, keeping veg short and sweet at 4-5 weeks. Gonna tighten up the training game for sure. Despite the lower buds not getting as much love, the top ones are coming along nicely. She's a thirsty one, so I'm hitting her with 4 liters at lights on and another 2 liters a few hours before lights off to keep that coco from drying out. Got about 3-4 more weeks to go, and I'm itching to see how it all pans out. Can't wait to see the final yield and taste the goods. This was the last week for the Cookies Gelato. They've turned purple. Weather is not that great anymore, and I want to avoid more budrot, so I had to chop them down 😛

Chopped the first GG plant will update after it drys and I trim it. The cheese plant that isn't LST probably has another week or so maybe less. The rest have a few weeks slowly making more room in the tent. Only giving water for the rest of the time maybe some cal-mag to help the plants that at burnt (NL, both cheese).

Another decent week I would think. Only issue is the CDLC. She seems to be a slow grower but no new issues have popped up on her. Miracle Berry Express is a monster. I'm LSTing every day...I don't really know when to stop so...yeah.. Everyone is looking good. This is first grow but I have really good feelings about it. Gave em all a hair cut too. I think I took too much though. Next time I won't take any small ones. I'm pretty sure I stunted some nodes....I'll have a pretty big harvest regardless I'm thinking. I kinda just listen to the plants...if they look like they have an issue I'll respond. Otherwise I let them do their thing.
