Day 29 Overall I have no big plans for the girls this week. Just letting them recover from topping last week, and I'll continue to adjust the LST wires as needed. Also, I have decided to stop measuring the plant size every day as it is a bit pointless this far into veg. Instead, I will measure the girls at the end of each week. I started this week by feeding the plants' compost tea as well as foliar feed them. I have a small hand sprayer which works well as I only have a couple of plants. The bendable nozzle is convenient as it allows me to feed all sides of the plants easily. I just need to be careful when I do the underside of the leaves with the nozzle pointing upwards so I don't get my face full of wormpoop juice. I gave each girl around 2 liters of tea, and I completely forgot to check the pH. Sigh. Also, it is worth noting that I gave the tea to the plants just after the lights out so that the tea didn't burn on the leaves.  I noticed some light green/yellow tips on the new growth at the very top of the right girl. New growth further down doesn't show any yellow tips, so I suspect that I might be dealing with light bleaching. I checked the light level at the canopy, and it was up around 850 PPFD which is relatively high. (I completely forgot to raise the lights as the plants grew. DOH!) I moved up the light around 10 cm and then measured around 640 PPFD at canopy level. Hopefully, that will sort out those yellow tips but I'll keep my eyes on it. Day 30 All I did today was to once again cut back the cover crop a bit and tighten the LST wires. I did pull a bit too much on the left girl and heard a "crack". Turn out that the branch broke just right by the main stem but I think it will heal just fine as it was a really small break. Time will tell. Day 31 Today was moving day and I finally moved out all tomatoes and pepper plants. Good to have a bit more space again considering how cramped my tent is. I also did some more cover crop trimming and it is insane how much it grows. I removed a couple more leaves from the right girl as they weren't getting any light that far down on the plant. The branch on the left girl that I broke yesterday looks like a lost cause at this point but I'll give it another day or two to see if it heals. Kinda doubt it but let's see. I also tightened all the LST wires further and gave each girl around 2.5 liters of pH 6.0 water. The tops are looking good in the propagation tray but no visible roots yet. I gave them a bit more aloe tea. Finally, I hung up a CO2 bag in the tent. One of the problems with my setup is that the tent gets quite hot due to the powerful lights and since the tent is so small I can't fit an AC in there. Hopefully, the CO2 will help with the heat problem now when the weather is getting better which means that the tent will become even warmer. Day 32 Today I went on a field trip to a nearby horse ranch to hunt down and gather compost worms. I gathered around 50 red wrigglers, cleaned them up, and added them to my pots. Even though I watered the girls yesterday, the right one was dry today, so I gave her around 2 liters of pH 6.5 water. Thirsty girl but then she is also large and bushy, making sense that she drinks more than the other plant. Yesterday, I hung up a CO2 bag in the tent, and unfortunately, it really smells like shit. Literally. I hope the smell will decrease with time because right now, it stinks pretty bad when I open the tent. Ugh. Finally, I removed that broken branch as it was clear it wouldn't make it. Day 33 Ahhhhh, the wonderful feeling of opening up the tent and get hit by a wall of shit smell. My girlfriend even bitched me out that the entire apartment stinks. This was the first time I bought this brand of CO2 bags and I seriously doubt that I will repurchase it... More watering today, and I gave each girl 2.5 liters of pH 6.5 water. At least all this watering keeps the humidity at a reasonable level, but I really should get around to hooking up the Blumat system, so I don't need to hand-water all the time. I'm way too lazy to have to water every day. I did some additional defoliation on the left girl. Nothing crazy. It was just removing a few leaves that weren't getting any lights at the bottom of the plant. I also installed a scrog net but am not thrilled about how it fits. I'll leave it for now but think I will have to make my own in the future. Finally, I managed to put up a plastic pocket on the wall of the tent. Something that I have considered since getting the tent but never gotten around to doing. It is just a place where I can put the tools that I use most - scissors for cutting back cover crop and defoliation, PAR meter to check light levels, pH meter to make sure that my water is ok, and glasses for inspecting the plants. Day 34 Today my girlfriend was hiding in bed, under the cover, as I opened the tent. Just in case... Sure, enough. It still stinks. No big mission today. Just a quick maintenance mission where I cut down the cover crops a bit and removed another few leaves to increase air circulation. I also repositioned and tightened the LST wires. That was it. Day 35 End of week 5 of vegetation and another fairly easy day. I gave each girl 3liters of pH 6.2 water, tightened up a couple of LST wires, tucked in a few branches into the net, and super-cropped a couple of branches on the right girl. The left girl is 24 cm tall and the right one 34 cm tall. I also moved the tops out of the tent as very little light reaches the floor of the tent now when the girls are getting bushy. I put them under a ViparSpectra light together with my tomatoes and chilis. I still have no exact plan what to do with the clones if they survive but maybe I'll plant them outdoors and see what happens.

Day 56...Started feeding everyone with a feeding schedual. The mullberry is full of small nugs wont be the biggest buds but looking like they will fatten up. I should of started her new feed schedual 3 weeks ago instead of last week (my fault), but her smell is loud and proud of her heritage and is unmistakeable...the Blutane and CQ started on full feed this week. There nugs are both pretty decent, next grow will def mix soil a little different. I had 2 heavy and 1 light so got a good average for next mix. Again the smell with these 3 ladies in 1 tent is pure blueberry bliss.

Well the buds are stacking up pretty well. They have been trying to stretch a little this week so I have been LST branches as they pop up and trying to keep them from getting too close to the lights. Its a really tight fit so going forward I gotta be careful what strains I grow in this cabinet. I will have to get some small/short strains to grow in here and recommendations?

(wednesday, start week 8) plants both start flowering, the water in the Dwc has only 400 ppm. this plant drinks a lot instead of feeding later on this week: changed water to 650ppm (friday) soil plant looks like its over or underwatered. i used 1/3 perlite and water once a week 1 liter. the pot weighs normal.. maybe i should keep watering everyday half a liter ? the video and pictures of these problems are added to this week, my PH meter was broke causing me to give the wrong Ph for a while.. i now use the liquid ph test kit from GHE, she starts to look better now. ill be happy to finish this i dont like all the leaves on this strain

8/12/24 - 8/18/24 Start of Flower - 1st Full Week Saw a potential for Nitrogen Toxcitiy. Dark green, almost black tips, downward pointed. #1 was 35 cm @ 8pm-ish. #1 was 40 cm @ 8pm-ish. #1 was 45 cm @ 8pm-ish. "2:30 am-ish - Going for a ""flushing"" watering. Hoping to slightly lower the suspected nitrogen levels. Warning Watch: Runoff was 5.6 pH, EC 3.2, 1650 ppm500, 2250 ppm700 at the end. Might be high but another flushing watering will calm it. #1 was 51 cm @ 10pm-ish." They looked great throughout the day. "1:00am ManBear (friend's name) became the proud surragote father for #4. She became his to manage the way he sees fit. #1, #3, and #4 have not been watered since Day #20. I suspect they will need it soon. #1 in now 60cm at 1am-ish. 6:30pm: Flush watering of #1 #1 was 65"

This week started out well. After topping both sides started growing pretty quickly. Later on in the week I decided to see how flexible the new branches were, they seemed pretty flexible so I wanted to start fixing them down, but not too low. Sadly one of the branches snapped off. I quickly tried to reattach it, but it got loose and died off. New plan, I left the second node intact to fill up some possibly empty spaces, but now they will have to serve as the right side of the manifold. Part of the timelapse is a bit weird as the camera kept sliding out of position because of the wire pulling it down, but that should be fixed now.

TUESDAY 7/16: I graduated two of my hybrids to 3 gallon pots and moved them outdoors today. Both were Candy Cane x Amnesia Autos that had been in solo cups. They were both extremely well rooted and should do just fine. I watered them in with spring water and a little extra bokashi, dolomite, and azomite and wished them well. I hope to graduate a couple of the Candy Cane x C4's tomorrow or the next day, but it will be another week before the other CC x C4, the Candy Cane x Early Miss, and the Candy Cane (S1) are ready. Neither Candy Cane x White Widow seedling made it...😥 WEDNESDAY: I transplanted another Candy Cane x Amnesia and a Candy Cane x C4(purple pheno) into 3 gallon pots today. I watered them in with Azomite, Dolomite, Biochar, Kelp Me Kelp You and sprayed them with Boom Boom Juice a few times early in the morning. By noon, they were standing at attention and growing a millimeter a minute. They are loving the sunshine.😎 Tomorrow, I'll transplant another Candy Cane x C4 and another Candy Cane x Amnesia. The Candy Cane x Early Miss is a misshapen miniature mongrel, but I'm hoping she snaps out of her funk and gets busy growing soon. The Candy Cane(S1), and the last two Candy Cane x C4's are tiny little runts..I'm hoping the Boom Boom Juice I misted them with all morning will kick them into gear....🙏 I was really hoping to have at least one Candy Cane x White Widow in the grow too, so I went ahead and floated another bean last night..it had sunk by this morning. Fingers crossed... THURSDAY: I transplanted another Candy Cane x C4 and another Candy Cane x Amnesia into 3 gallon pots today. Out of Bio Tabs, so mixed up some of my recharged soil with a little extra coco coir, perlite, bokashi, biochar, and a handful of compost, along with some Osmocote Plus, then watered them in with azomite, dolomite and Kelp Me Kelp You. The day of sunshine did seem to kick the Candy Cane x Early Miss into gear, but I didn't really see much growth on the other CC x C4 or the Candy Cane (S1)..what did grow is really twisted up like the Early Miss hybrid..I'm thinking that I must've used too much Mycotrex and/or Great White on the new seedlings. They have all been rooted like crazy, but several had weird-looking, slow-starting, twisted foliage.😕 So the current line-up of hybrids in this diary consists of: 4 * Candy Cane x Amnesia Auto (planted) 2 * Candy Cane x C4 (planted) 1 * Candy Cane x Early Miss (not yet planted) 1 * Candy Cane x Amnesia Auto (not yet planted) 1 * Candy Cane (S1) (not yet planted) FRIDAY: Inspected for pests and repositioned them a few inches over so that they get another half hour of sunlight per day. I sprayed the area with Ortho again and bought a little air bubbler to aerate water for compost tea. SATURDAY: They've all put on a couple of inches since Thursday. I mixed up a fairly weak batch of Big Bloom and Grow Big plus some Kelp Me Kelp You and douched them with about a half-gallon right as the sun was coming up. I also prepared a foliar feed using Big Bloom and Kelp Me Kelp You and sprayed them well as the sun came up, and again after it was going down. I also started aerating 4 gallons of water today...will add the compost tea tomorrow morning and let it cook for 24 hours. The Candy Cane x Early MIss is a few days away from being planted and moving outdoors, and one of the remaining Candy Cane x C4's is a few days behind her. The other Candy Cane x C4 and the Candy Cane (S1) probably won't make it, but that's fine..I had really only planned to grow 5 hybrids plus a photo and a Zkittlez auto. Also, the Candy Cane x White Widow bean may yet come up. SUNDAY: I foliar fed them and sprinkled a little more Silicium Flash on top of the soil of all my plants and also mixed about 4 grams of Bactrex into a jug with 3/4 gallon of bottled water and douched them with about 2 pints each. That should really get the beneficial bacteria and fungus kicked into overdrive. I started brewing a 4 gallon batch of compost tea today. Since I don't have any Orgatrex, I am using a little Big Bloom, Kelp Me Kelp You, and Grow Big in the tea in addition to the PK Compost Booster tea from Bio Tabs. I'll add Mycotrex to it about 2 hours before it finishes and thoroughly dowse them all tomorrow morning. MONDAY: I fed the outdoor ones each about a liter of compost tea and foliar fed them a couple times as the sun came up, and gave each of the remaining seedlings in the cabinet about 2 shot glasses full each and foliar fed them as well. It looks like I've finally got a Candy Cane x White Widow Auto seed to sprout...fingers crossed that she takes off normally. If she does fully emerge, she's already waaaay behind the rest...🙏 Late last night one of my cats ate half of one of the biggest leaves on my Early Miss hybrid, but she's okay..actually starting to grow. I may actually plant her outdoors tomorrow.👍 It's been a decent week for them...tomorrow begins a new week.

March 15, 2024 Day 29 I didn't end up doing a lot today. I watered in a full liter of the new nutrient regimen per plant. They seem to have taken well to it. No signs of stress yet. Took some pictures and measured the plants. I forgot to measure the light distance, which I will do at some point today. I also didn't activate the bottom feed system today. I'll do that tomorrow morning. I wanted to see if there was any stress. Nothing, so tomorrow it is. So over the last week, I had to start training and the plants grew a good 5" through the week. They are about 8" tall now, after the training, which I might add went swimmingly. The side branches took off immediately and I'll be tying those down in the next day or 2. They are both a lush green color with Banana Purple Punch B being super tight. It will definitely need a defoliation. Banana Purple Punch A is really different in stature. Not so compact, but the same leaf structure. So far I'm happy with this run. The environment is still doing quite well. I will keep the temps around 77° and the humidity down a bit lower to around 55%, if I can get it there. I'll update lighting tomorrow. Currently the PAR is 550 ppfd. However, they aren't out of veg yet. I may keep the lights as they are for the time being. Maybe til the middle of the week and then I'll increase the DLI to around 40 mol/m²/d for the rest of the week. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.7° RH: 60.9% VPD: 1.08 kPa March 16, 2024 Today was a busy day. Finished up everything I didn't do yesterday. Both plants got their bottom feed system activated. The roots aren't quite out far enough, but that should t be a problem. The containers should start absorbing through the wicks in no time. Then the concentration of water will be on the bottom half bringing the roots all the way down and spread out. It should be quite successful. They also got fully trained. All taller branches tied down. The tops were readjusted a smidge. But the main branches were tied down. Banana Purple Punch B is still really bushy and compact. Training helped quite a bit, but there still massive leaves and short nodes. Banana Purple Punch A is perfect. She has beautiful internodal spacing that helped keep the canopy opened and ready to fill in. Her leaves are massive, but were easily moved around. Both plants have beautiful colors and are the same height. So far so good. Let's hope I can keep up through the stretch. The lighting is staying the same for now. The distance is now 24" and the PAR is 600 ppfd. I may peek at 80% power today to see what the reading is. If it's around 650, I'll keep it there. If higher, I'll drop it back down. Then I'll increase it next week. Next week should be pre-flower or at some point this week. The environment is also good. It's been a bit cold the past couple of days, so the temp is hovering around 75° instead of 77° and the humidity is a little high at 61%. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.3° RH: 59.9% VPD: 1.09 kPa March 17, 2024 Not much to do today. The bottom feeding systems are running perfectly. The soil moisture level is now at 30% and that's where I'm keeping it for now. I made 2 training adjustments today on Banana Purple Punch A just a couple branches pulled back down. However, Banana Purple Punch B is too bushy already. I'm going to have to defoliate in a couple days I think. Also, the main top tie down was useless. The plant just grew more and completely knocked off the tie down. I can't do it again for now. Not until there's a bit of stretch. However, the side branches I pulled down are looking good, but still super dense. I'll most likely cut the main stalk fan leaves off. That should do the trick. The light was raised 2" today. Hopefully it helps with praying. There isn't any and I'm wondering if the light needs to be brighter. It's kind of counterintuitive, but if the lack of light doesn't induce praying, then maybe it's not bright enough. The sweet spot needs to be somewhere for this strain. I'll figure it out. Other than that, some pictures today and monitoring the water intake. Update: I decided to increase the power to 80%. That should help with the temp and humidity. The DLI is 41.5 mol/m²/d. This should be perfect for this stage in the grow. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.0° RH: 59.2% VPD: 1.14 kPa March 18, 2024 Looking great today! The bottom feed systems are fully active and the soil moisture is at 36% throughout. It's a tiny bit wetter on the bottom where the feed system is, but nothing crazy. There's about a half gallon left from the initial activation. That should last the rest of the week. Then I can add new water and nutes. Because this is a bottom feed system and the soil is more like coco coir, I will have to run a constant feeding regimen. Maybe every few waterings I'll run a half gallon of plain PHed water to 6.0. everything else with watering is fantastic. I couldn't ask for a better outcome with the startup. The ending result is a nice crust on the top soil to help lock moisture in and prevent bugs from laying eggs. Both ladies got a full training adjustment. As well as a few branches that finally got long enough to tie down. Banana Purple Punch A is looking great! The main top is doubled over like a horseshoe. But no breaks or anything. Banana Purple Punch B is also looking great. Super lunch full leaves. Still extremely short nodes, but I can deal with that in a week or so when I defoliate. These two plants are very different. Definitely different phenomes where Banana Purple Punch A is more on the hybrid side while Banana Purple Punch B is definitely a solid indica. We'll see what happens in the end. I feel I'm going to have to train Banana Purple Punch B differently. The top won't stay down, so I'm either going to top it or just defoliate and tie down the branches for light and air circulation. Hopefully because of her tight stature, she won't stretch past the other plants in the tent and the canopy stays level. We shall see. Lighting is spot on with the plants praying slightly. I guess my theory made sense. It's not the lack of light that causes praying, not too much light. I now understand the "sweet spot". I'll have to ensure it stays in the sweet spot for the rest of the grow. It should with my lighting schedule. The environment is finally adjusting back to normal, with the temp being around 76° and the humidity at 56%. Nothing to complain about here. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.8° RH: 59.8 VPD: 1.16 kPa March 19, 2024 Not much going on today. I did some minor adjustments to the plants tied downs. Rotated them slightly for a better fit in the tent. I also separated the basins and now they are in their own quadrants. No sense in watering today. The basins are still about 1/4 full. They will definitely need to be refilled in a couple days. Perfect timing. The plants themselves are looking great. Banana Purple Punch A has a bit of nitrogen toxicity. I'll have to drop the nutrients down next refill a bit. Maybe 10 ml instead of 12 ml. Banana Purple Punch B is still super bushy and tight. I might have to top her if she takes off and starts getting taller than the other plants in the canopy. I did make adjustments to the tie downs and pulled two top branches down. The plant is seriously compact, but the same size as her sister plant. When she takes off, I will be expecting a robust and strong plant. Also, I'd like to mention the stem is super thick on both plants, especially with Banana Purple Punch B. Very promising for a heavy yield. So based on my last run, if everything goes as it's going currently, I should expect 36" plants. At that size and the density this strain has, I may be expecting a good 9 oz from each plant. Unless I can get slightly bigger plants, then maybe 12 oz. Who knows. My last grow had one plant yield 21.5 oz. This run is better so far in every aspect. No accidents with topping or light issues, or environmental factors. Feeding has been really good. With the current exception having a slight nitrogen toxicity, which I will fix ASAP. Lighting is looking great! I may have to raise it an inch or so later today, if not tomorrow. I'll leave it at this power level for the next couple weeks until we are in full swing flower, then I'll increase the power again and adjust accordingly. I may not even get to 100% power. Wouldn't that be nice. The environment is looking really good. The temp is around 76° and the humidity is at a solid 57% during the day. Maybe even perfect for this week in the grow. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.8° RH: 56.5% VPD: 1.21 kPa March 20, 2024 Today was a bit busy. So far I tied down some new branches that were finally long enough to tie down. Only on Banana Purple Punch A. She needed adjustments for the whole plant. Very happy with the growth so far. Banana Purple Punch B had her branches adjusted, but now I'm really concerned with her taking off and getting taller than the rest of the canopy. I'm thinking she needs to be topped. Just in case. I may ask a question and see what the community thinks. Roots aren't showing totally yet, so I can only imagine what the root balls look like. Maybe they will get big, following big plants. Banana Purple Punch B hasn't shown any roots yet, but I expect roots to pop out any day now. We aren't in pre-flower yet, so there's still plenty of room to grow and plenty of time for me to shape my ladies. So far, the way things are going promises a bountiful yield and a full tent. The reservoirs are nearly empty. Banana Purple Punch A is actually at the bottom and just about dried up. This time around, I can let the basins dry out. In regards to nutrients, funnily enough, Banana Purple Punch A has nitrogen toxicity. It's definitely from the huge boost in nutrients. I'll drop the nutes back down to around 8 ml instead of 12 ml. This next watering will have to be with Cal/Mag. Just to get rid of the toxicity. Then back to 8 ml of base nutrients. As for lighting, I raised the light an inch to keep it at 24" from the canopy. The PAR is around 625 ppfd. I don't need to increase the power level yet, but soon I think. The environment is back to being spot on. The temp is back around 76° to 77° and the humidity is hovering around 56%. The VPD is right where it needs to be. I'm quite happy. Update: I decided to try tying down the top of Banana Purple Punch B one last time. If it doesn't take and it's standing straight up tomorrow, I'll have to top her. It should take this time. The bend is a perfect 90 degree angle. And this time I made sure to secure the tie straight down and tied it to a side branch. The side branches are super thick, so it will definitely hold. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.7° RH: 56.6% VPD: 1.20 kPa March 21, 2024 Not much going on today. Both basins were refilled today with 10 ml instead of 12 ml. I probably should have run the plain water as I originally thought, but then I don't want to lose out on precious nutrients. The nitrogen toxicity should go away. Hell, it might even go away when the plant gets bigger. Speaking of getting bigger, they are taking off now. Banana Purple Punch A is kind of a tangled mess. It's beautiful. Great color huge leaves. Some 7 finger leaves coming out. The training is working quite well with the side branches sticking out past the boundaries of the container by a good few inches all around. Banana Purple Punch B is the most well rounded plant in shape and structure. The top tie down took swimmingly. A perfect 90° bend. Each branch has its own space. Because the plants is so compact, this was the only way I could train her. The difference is that I like to tie down the whole plant at first. This plant was a no go, so it has quite a uniform shape going on. Still it's different. So the plant will turn out different than her sister plant. The light needed to be raised a half inches today. Just to get that DLI at 40 mol/m²/d. Tomorrow I'll probably increase the power to 90%. The goal is to bring the DLI to 42 mol/m²/d and gradually let the plants grow into a DLI of 45 mol/m²/d. I will try to keep the light at 24" for the whole grow. As I said weeks ago, I'll go as low as 22", but any lower than that and my footprint gets too small. I may have to increase the power to 100% in 2 weeks. And keep the light at 24" or higher. Unless of course I run out of height space, then I have to remove the exhaust fan and left the light to the ceiling of the tent.etd hope it doesn't get to that point. My room has trouble getting over 72° in turn the temp of the tent is suffering at 74°. However, the humidity is still great at 56% to 57% all day. Sometimes it pops up to 58%, but that will change when it gets warmer and I can get my heater to work properly. I like to keep the bedroom at 74° during the day, so the tent hovers around 76° to 77°.
