Day 71 - she is a monster a. the buds continue to swell larger b. the smells inside the box are of baked cakes and fruit, really amazing smell c. will be increasing the bloom nutrients very hard this week with more FloraBloom. d. I am hoping to have purple buds when we are finished! Day 72 - growing strong a. the buds are growing every day b. the smell is unreal, the oil production is very high, the buds are covered in oil c. added 5L to the DWC of stronger flowering blend, we are at 1240ppm in the DWC d. applied light LST to 2 of the front colas to allow light to hit the smaller buds a bit Day 73 - growth explosion a. exponential growth everywhere, buds are getting very fat. b. not a single hair is turning orange!!!! we are so excited for the long life of this auto, the longer the life the longer the effects. c. the plant is starting to eat the nitrogen out of some of the leaves. Day 74 - buds just keep growing a. added 5L of heavy flowering blend to the DWC b. smells like berry cake Day 75 - exploding a. lightly tied the massive buds back a little to get the little spots more light b. the oil and resin production are very high Day 76 - exploding again a. the buds are just growing huge, the main is insanely large b. we are starting to get our first signs of minor nitrogen deficiency!!!! YES! Day 77 - let the ripening begin! a. switching over to Ripen+Pro Bloom next week, these buds will explode!

This plant seems to have grown much denser and better than my first plant. I just got the ac infinity ventilation setup with controller 69 for my 2x2, still trying to learn, hopefully grow #3 goes even better. Stay tuned

Using 2 seeds in a luke warm water shotglass. Placing in cupboard to germinate. Day1: Nothing yet Day2: One of the seeds started to sprout. Showing it's sexy little tail. I'll monitor the growth in the next 24hrs and then decide whether she's ready for the sproutling pot or not. Day3: Tails were looking pretty good - forgot to take a photo :/ roughly 1cm for one of them, which is the one that I decided to plant. It really hurt when I chucked the other seed, but I really only need one plant. Soil mix for the sproutling: Coco Coir - 70%, Vermiculite - 15%, Perlite - 15%. I also added Greenhouse Feeding "BioGrow" and Mycorrhiza. The picture was taken from my RPi + Cam setup that will be taking 2 photos/min. I'll post the timelapse at the end of the day. Day4: Running the whole day in the tent with ventilation running minimally. Light only at 20%. No action, so I deleted all the pictures except for the last one taken before the lights went out. Day5: No activity above the soil level. Probably spent the whole day focusing on root growth. Day6: At around 09:20 I watered again and with this uncovered the first signs of life! The rest of the day was mostly uneventful - until the evening. Roughly 2hrs before lights-out she started to move. Day7: Things starting to look really good :)

This week, I gave my plants more fertilizer to test if they show any signs of burning. Now, I'm stressed out! I think I should give myself some seaweed to relieve the stress 😂 The girls show signs of calcium deficiency. I sprayed a small amount of calcium and magnesium on them to help them recover faster. I’m not sure why the new leaves are very pale. Could they be lacking iron? I think the high soil moisture might be causing issues with iron absorption, but I’m not completely sure. I’ll wait and see what happens this week. Considering that I use regular water, I expected them not to have a calcium deficiency.

This is day 80 from seed,I will admit I have messed up,and done some pretty cool things with this grow on my own terms.I just need some guidance on current status of growth referring to harvest,I need some advice on how long she has left before I should harvest her She is a beautiful plant.

Still shooting up... lots of stretch but she’s slowing down. Hoping she really stops soon. She’s already past the light and I had to angle my lights sideways to keep her under the lights. No burn noticeable which is interesting to me since seedlings tends to burn under this light. Ignore commentary on video... 7 Days in, 9 since planting. On day 1 i did a time lapse and found that my fresh bagged soil came with bugs in it. got some 'Jakes' killed the bugs, but over saturated and by 5 of their life i found a bit of mold. lightly sprayed more 'Jakes' and turned on my clip fans.. since then the mold and bugs are 100% gone. the photos of the single seedlings are most recent.

Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Amazing it happened again. I'm not the god of growers but some autoflowers come out like one. This is incredible, I think it's my best result, truly exceptional. This Bubble Gum is wonderful, and it is made in Romania by the guys from Seeds Mafia with a truly wonderful cannabis know-how. It's giant, full of resin, full of swollen flowers, branches that look like arms, I had to use a bottle to compare the lighters were funny. Super perfume, I pulled it off with a lot of white because there was also a lot of yellow and I didn't want to risk the problems at the end. The maturation is there, the scent is all, the resin as well, the quantity is monstrous for me, for an autoflowering in general, even grown on the ground without particular miracles, it is super. Hi Growmies, Again another very uneventful week. The plant is doing what she is supposed to do, getting ready to bulk :) For the coming week PK 13/14 will be added so she can use that to fatten and ripen properly. So far I am quite happy with the results, she is much leaner than her mother and basically only consists of stems and buds. Strangely enough some friends of mine who took cuttings are actually tickling out a bunch of purple hues on the leaves and buds, wonder if this could be temperature related. Guess I will see once have a temp controlled fan …

Increased Buddy to 1mm p/l. Really impressed with these nutrients so far, there's been no problems or defeciences the entire grow. All plants look happy, healthy and green. This plant is at the back of the timelapses.

Week 8 and the plants are now starting to get flushed Nd also are giving of a brilliant fade , buds are very dense and purple and red colours are starting to come. Overall really pleased with how everything is going

Week begins 8/12 LAST FEED 2 gallons 8/12 AFTER A RAINING NIGHT. 8/13 I've found what appears to be septoria on a couple plants. Looks like the weather will be OK tonight so I can apply organocide or something similar before dark. I've seen random pillar damage so this will be a two-for. I also should move the middle plant back and utilize my space more. Ph seems on point around 7.3. Higher in some places of the soil. I've noticed what looks like root issues on my blueberry. Winds were horrible yesterday and this plant doesnt hace a vertical trellis for support. Stem was pretty wobbly for a while but the plant seems to be growing fine. Either that or a jpn beetle munched the top of a bud. That's probably what happened. It was in the low 50's this morning. That's a 40 degree temperature swing in just a few days. This grow season has been the most challenging I've faced. Of course it had to happen when personal, family, and health concerns rear their head. Oh well. I can only do my best. 8/14 Went over at 5am to apply organocide to treat WPM or septoria as well as insecticide for pillars. I got there and one of my healthiest plants had been turning a little lime green now it was drooped over just like the larger GDP. This one is a 9lb kush though and they were doing good. Now it looks like it's dead over night. Maybe it's that liquid kool bloom. The soil seemed dry so I watered the plants. It MIGHT have picked ok a little. I'll have to check tonight. If not something is going on at night or in the rootzone and I really don't know what the fuck is going on. I will post updates and check later tonight. Damn. This has been a real challenging year. 8/15 That plant might be overwatered or not be draining correctly. At least I was able to get underneath it and the ground was dry. It was also hard packed dirt so elevating the bag may help. I'm going to wait a few days and see if things improve. This really sucks. I'm getting that defeated feeling. I need to get out of it though as I'm starting to see flower begin. The blueberry is probably the farthest along. I need to remember to take pictures of the newly developing flowers. Granted I've had numerous medical and other issues that have taken me off my game but losing two plants in one year is pretty shitty. I was able to fix things with COVID last year or the year before so I hope I can at least save this 9lb kush plant. If I lose this plant too it will be a substantial amount of cannabis lost. I need to rearrange my cage as well to make use of the extra space. Maybe I could've overwatered that plant that had been in the rain for a long time. I need to get my water routine down pat instead of doing the "lift the pot" method I have been doing. I went to several different commercial growers and got a bunch of crazy answers. Only time will tell. Last night I finished the organocide application on all the other plants except for the two babies and the drooped 9lb kush. Don't want to stress it further. I'll see how it goes. 8/16 Despite the soil drying out the newest disaster (my 9lb kush) is much worse with chlorosis killing leaves. Stalks and branches seem good. Soil smells musty and a little wetter than the rest. It was roofed to the ground slightly. NO water underneath. I stuck my hand in the bag from a bunch of angles. It's like the same thing that happened with the other one. I added to my surveillance. I also smell bleech and I hace an idea this might not be my doing at all. I can't be detailed but I'll find out one way or another. UPDATE. Went back over after the dentist and plants were dry as a fucking bone and droopy. I mixed up five gallons of phed water and watered everything. Even the 9lb kush that is pretty much dead. The soil was dry though. Everyone is saying overwater but I really doubt that. We had some massive rainstorms bur still. I need to review a game cam I have because unfortunately my cams went on the frits for a couple days (and the dogs went wild during that time around midnight) couple nights in a row. I fucking smell bleech. I'm a good dude and don't really have any enemies but we'll see what the game cam pulls up. 8/17 Of course we are getting a shit ton of rain. I watered yestetday because everything was dry as a bone I watched yesterday as my blueberry was almost horizontal due to the wind. I added several supports to every branch and a few more up the main stalk. That may be what has been happening. The wind blowing so hard it separates the stalk from the roots. My problems started after I took my windbreaker tarp down. I put it back up for this storm. Or maybe it's just root rot. I dont fucking know. I cut all the dead stuff off the 9lb kush thats pretty mucb dead. Its holding on though. I probably shouldnt have watered that but it seemed bone dry. Maybe further down was wet. I dont know. Extra cams are up. I didn't smell that chemical bleachy smell today so it's probably in my head. I have better peace of mind with the night cams up though.and the dogs though. I've had a visitor this year but he left very quickly. 8/18 We got a shit ton of rain last night. No damage though. I spent what time I had in the garden working on the 9lb kush that looked like it was dieing. I'm not giving up on this one so easy. It seems to want to hold on. Despite the severely overwatered medium (due to this storm) I cam see new growth that looks healthy. The branches also seem stronger. I'm cautiously optimistic. The other one straight up died. So I might be able to salvage this. I'll go over later today and check on it. I debated putting it inside for the storm bur I figured I'd let the rain leech out anything in the medium in case it's locked out or something. At least I've got a couple real healthy ones this year. That NYCSA is amazing. That's a strain I'll probably grow again. Resilient as all all. Vigorous and doesn't seem impacted by things like WPM or other fungal ok infections or diseases like some other strains. I got a great recommendation from my buddy to use pots all the same size. It makes things easier watering. I just used what I had this year. I had bigger pots so I wanted to fill them. That tarp being up I think greatly helped with the wind. It's down now so things cam dry out. Still raining bit not yard and no wind. I think that may have played a large role in killing the 7ft GDP. Wind ripping the stalk away from the roots. Or it could've been a million other things. I'll never know. I do know that I have a better mindset, a great set of resources and I'm learning something new every year. If I can br8ng this plant back to life I'm going to be very proud of myself.....and her. Oh and I'm going to buy new tiger bloom. I'll start beasty bloom (hesitant as it has caused lockout in the past) as it goes better with my other nutes than the liquid kool bloom. Plus I started getting portables around tge time I used the liquid kool bloom. That being said, after two weeks I can see buds where there weren't before so I don't know. Next year I'm using seeds and I'm doing things different. I'm STRONGLY considering rapacaps idea about adding a removable roof for flower. The more I think about it tge better it sounds. That and putting wheels on pallets (buddy suggestion) and I could attach my supports directly to the pallet. I've got a lot of work to do that's for sure. Plants look healthy but I needvto him them again with organocide to fight any fungal stuff or pillars that might be hiding.
