She’s drying right now. Will be a decent yield. Terps are literally orange and sherb. That’s rare. Very happy with the results— probably could have harvested a little sooner but wanted to take her amber.🏻💚

Hello and welcome to my newest grow! Going to be doing a small pheno hunt for a keeper cut of purple marmalade by Solfire. Speaking of Solfire, want to shout these guys out. Just purchased from these guys the first time and the seeds I received look perfect. They also sent me 3 free seeds which I’m looking forward to growing next. Purple Marmalade is something special too me as I actually smoked this strain in Rochester New York around 2021, I would always pick up 3 new strains a week when I stayed here. For me and my girlfriend at the time it was one of our favorites we have ever had. Super spacey and melted away all stress. Going to be doing a proper hunt where I will keep the rooted seeds as parents and will be taking clones of these for the actual hunt. The clones will be planted in my newest 30 gallon no till bed where they will be flipped semi early to allow all 3 plants to fill the 2x3. The 30 gallon pot is the same soil I have been no tilling in a 15 gallon for the last year and a half. It had gotten compacted in the 15 so I dumped it out, reammended with 3.0, craft blend, and gnarly barley. Also added a gallon of perlite to help prevent compaction again. Poured it into the 30 and topped it off with about 8 gallons of fresh Elite Soil. My thought process is the plants will start off in the new top soil as the bottom cooks, so by the time the roots hit the older soil it is ready to go. I also took a soil sample of the old soil and sent it to my local university to see if the amendments I added will be enough or if I should top dress more early on. Today August 23rd I sprinkle a ton of white clover seeds on top of this pot so by the time I transplant the clones in two weeks I will have a cover crop I also planted the seeds today on August 23rd. I filled my small nursery pots with some new Elite Living soil. I soaked the soil heavily to ensure it was wet and tamped. Poked a small one inch hole into each pot. Sprinkled recharge into each hole, dropped the seeds in and covered lightly. I then transferred these to my small parent tent where they will hopefully pop and veg until I am able to take my clones for the main tent. Germination success is set to 0/3 until they start too pop. Really looking forward to this grow with you guys! God bless! Update Day 4, August 28th: Cover crop growing in well and first seed popped. Good looks for solfire, first time using them. My seeds planted directly in soil almost always consistently pop on day 5. Day early and healthy looking, no helmet head, and can already see true leaves coming in. Update Day 5, August 30th Number 2 sprouted Update Day 6, August 31st Transplanted both sprouted clones to large container

Kept an eye on her and basically tried to expose as many nodes and bud sites to as much light exposure as possible. The temperature is a bit cold with a cold wind. She seems to still be growing well albeit a bit on the slow side. Buds are forming with trichomes already visible.

4/8 - They are doing great. PPFD at 800. Debating if I want to do CO2 this grow, because I could easily get 1000 PPFD out of this light. That means adding a dehumidifier to keep a sealed environment, but don't think there's enough of a cost benefit. Might just add more far red at lights on and lights off to try and get a little more vegetative stretch before I switch over to 12/12. Clock is ticking. Mother-in-law shows up 6/15, and I'll want it chopped by then. 4/8 - on further calculation, I'm switching to flower today. Never switched this early before, but we'll see how it goes, eh? 4/9 - prepping for vacation. Bought new 10 gal Roughneck storage container, mixed new nute mix 2:1:2. EC 1.40 with 0.3 tap water. 11ml of pH down to get PH from 6.4 to 5.8. Ditching the auto fill. Too high risk for flooding without flare fittings. Don't trust cheap-ass quick connect push fittings. 4/10 - turned off "seedling vpd mode" which kept humidity artificially high. Turned on 2nd bank of LED lights, so system is pulling about 370W with lights on, still significantly dimmed down. Turned on light cooling circ fan, which is a sealed aluminum labyrinth tied to two 4"vents. Although, almost all the heat this lamp generates is from radiation, not thermal loss of the LEDs, so the heat sink is barely warm. Lights up to 16" over canopy to allow growth while on vacation. Ppfd at canopy 800. Room temp 81, humidity 73. Auto water time is 30 sec per pot.

All looking good, was looking like there was gonna be a few mutants but they seem to have sorted themselves out. Topped most of them now at day 22, will start spreading them out a bit this week and start training them up

Week 10 of flower. She is 5% amber trichomes but I want about 20% so waiting a bit longer. She has haze in her DNA so you know they flower longer than usual, this auto smells really nice, like fresh blue berries.

On day 1 I changed out my reservoir. I lowered my nutes to 650 ppm(25% reduction). I adjusted the PH down to 6.1. My left plant has some burnt tips from either PH shift or over fertilization. My hope is that the lower ppm will help to resolve the issue before it spreads. On day 2 I adjusted the reservoirs PH from 6.3 to 5.9. On day 3 the reservoirs PH is 6.0. I installed my new 200 watt HLG Rspec. I adjusted PPFD readings to 700-1300 PPFD on all tops. On day 4 I adjusted the reservoirs PH from 5.8 to 6.2. On day 5 I adjusted the reservoirs PH from 6.4 to 6.0. I diluted my nutrients in my reservoir by removing one gallon of nutrients from the rez and and adding 2 gallons of straight tap water to the rez. This brought the nute concentration from 770 ppm to 540 ppm as the plants will be entering the ripening stage in a few days and they have too much nitrogen judging by the extremely dark green leaves and burnt leaf tips on some branches of the left side plant. The buds seem slightly smaller then my last run which may be due to an excess of nitrogen and maybe not enough light as some of my tops are taller then the others making proper PPFD challenging. All in all the girls are coming along nice and I look forward to the final weeks of flowering 😀 On day 6 I adjusted the reservoirs PH from 5.9 to 6.2. I think I have halted the nute burn as I haven't seen it progressing any more on the leaves. I will continue to monitor closely during these final weeks. The trichome production is increasing with some trichs on top of colas starting to go cloudy. The pistils are turning brown with roughly 40-50% are turning brown all signs I'm getting closer to the harvest window 😆. I dimmed my light to give 600-1000 PPFD to tops. On day 7 I reduced my temps to 75 during the day and 68 at night. I adjusted the PH of the reservoir from 6.6 to 6.1. My reservoirs ppm was too high so I diluted the rez with 2 gal of tap water. This brought it down to 480ppm. The average ppfd to all 14 tops is 604 with no top receiving more than 1000 ppfd

Sorry for the lack of uploading ! These plants have been perfect from the start. Budding out nicely and haven't shown any signs if defficiency. All training has been stopped and I have started cutting back on the nitrogen for the 2 autoflowers. The peanut butter cookies is growing to be very bushy so I have done some light defoliation to help with light penetrative to the lower canopy of the plant

Animal Mints — Legends of the Frozen North Week 8 from Seed | Week 4 Flower Another chapter unfolds in the frozen north. For anyone joining this diary now, here is a quick recap of how we arrived here. This run explores Animal Mints grown primarily under a 12/12 cycle from seed, allowing the plants to naturally express their structure while moving efficiently into flowering. Most of the plants followed this path from the beginning, with one small exception in the room — a plant that spent about two weeks in vegetative light before joining the 12/12 cycle. Interestingly, that plant ended up being the smallest of the group, showing how genetics and environmental response can sometimes surprise us. But despite those differences, the room now feels unified. The canopy is alive, vibrant, and moving together into the deeper stages of flowering. This week has been a big one. With more than 300 photos captured, the goal was to document every angle of development — structure, branching, flower sites, and canopy behavior — as the plants continue their journey through bloom. ⸻ Environmental Snapshot The room is currently running with fairly aggressive parameters, but supported by strong airflow and active air exchange. Current conditions • Canopy temperature: ~28°C (gradually tapering toward 26°C) • Relative humidity: ~70% (slowly reducing toward ~60%) • CO₂: 1000+ ppm through passive enrichment • PPFD: 800 → 1300 µmol across the canopy These values are slightly on the upper edge of traditional recommendations, but with strong airflow and healthy transpiration, the plants are responding very well. Air movement remains one of the most important elements in this environment. The goal over the next weeks will be to gradually tighten the climate window as flowers develop further. ⸻ Light Strategy The lighting across the canopy currently ranges between: 800 and 1300 PPFD This allows the plants to maintain strong metabolic activity without excessive stress during early flower development. Additionally, we run a 15-minute red light pulse after lights off. This small far-red window helps accelerate the phytochrome transition between light cycles, effectively signaling nightfall to the plants and assisting the flowering rhythm. It is a subtle adjustment, but one that helps maintain consistent flowering signals. ⸻ Under-Canopy Lighting One of the key elements of this room is the use of under-canopy lighting. As plants grow bushier and develop dense foliage, the lower zones of the plant often receive very little light. Under-canopy lighting helps: • increase light penetration to lower bud sites • reduce excessive shading • maintain photosynthetic activity deeper into the plant • improve overall bud development throughout the structure Combined with careful defoliation and strong airflow, this approach helps keep the entire plant active rather than only the top canopy. ⸻ Airflow — The Invisible Engine Airflow is one of the most underestimated tools in indoor cultivation. In this room we rely heavily on constant air circulation and active air exchange. This helps: • regulate leaf temperature • support transpiration • prevent humidity pockets inside the canopy • strengthen plant structure • reduce risk of fungal pressure Plants are living organisms interacting with their environment, and air movement is part of that conversation. ⸻ Feeding Strategy The plants are currently feeding very actively. Feed EC: ~2.4 Soil EC: ~0.9 This indicates that the plants are absorbing nutrients efficiently from the medium. As long as the plants continue eating and the runoff remains stable, the feeding program stays consistent. If nutrient uptake slows or runoff EC begins climbing, adjustments will be made accordingly. For now, the system remains balanced and responsive. ⸻ Nutrient Recipe Current weekly top feed includes: • CalMag Pro • Terra Bloom (base nutrient) • Power Buds • Green Sensation • Pure Zym • Sugar Royal • Vita Race (foliar where applicable) At this stage of flowering, foliar applications are used sparingly. Once flowers begin forming, keeping the canopy dry becomes increasingly important. ⸻ Why Add Power Buds + Green Sensation As plants transition fully into the flowering stage, the goal shifts from structural growth toward flower formation and metabolic support. Power Buds helps stimulate the plant’s flowering response and encourages the development of early bud sites. Green Sensation acts as a metabolic enhancer, supporting: • bud density • terpene production • nutrient transport • overall plant energy during bloom Together, these additives help guide the plant’s resources toward productive flower development. ⸻ Mixing Order — Why It Matters One of the small details that can make a big difference in nutrient stability is the order of mixing. Our mixing process always follows the same structure: 1. CalMag Pro first 2. Base nutrient (Terra Bloom) 3. Additives CalMag is added first until the base EC reaches around 0.7. This creates a stable mineral foundation for the rest of the solution. After that the base nutrient and additives are introduced gradually. Proper mixing order helps prevent nutrient precipitation and instability, keeping the solution balanced and available for the plants. In simple terms: Chemistry matters. ⸻ Defoliation Update This week also included selective defoliation. Some plants had not yet received any canopy thinning, and their structure had become quite dense. Those plants were defoliated more deeply than the others to restore: • airflow inside the canopy • light penetration • structural balance Despite the heavier pruning, the plants responded beautifully. Leaves remain vibrant, growth continues strong, and the canopy quickly reorganizes itself. ⸻ Structural Observations Across the room, the Animal Mints plants show distinct structural expressions. Some lean toward tighter node spacing and compact branching, while others stretch slightly more. These differences highlight the diversity within the genetic expression of the cultivar. Yet despite those differences, all plants are developing healthy flower sites and strong green foliage. ⸻ What To Expect Next Over the next weeks we expect: • vertical stretch slowing down • bud stacking intensifying • resin development beginning • stronger aroma expression Environmental parameters will gradually shift toward slightly cooler temperatures and lower humidity as flowers continue forming. The focus will remain on airflow, canopy balance, and metabolic stability. ⸻ Gratitude Before closing this update, a moment of appreciation. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. The plants are huge and they are developing preflowers. I lowered the photoperiod to 14/10 in 3 days I lowered it to 12/12. I gave water to flushing roots and now I gave phosphorus and potassium for flowering
