Good day to all my friends and visitors here on GD. Decided to finally finish this diary so that on New Year eve I'm not opening the year with unfinished business. Now we cut the second Tropicanna XL auto plant, the first cut you can find in week 17. The plant from week 17 weighted 2.6 kilo wet, this one finished at 2.1kg. wet. The girls where autoflower but thanks to me starting this grow in cold day temps (14 degree Celsius) the started flower really late and grew and grew :) I enjoyed growing this strain immensely, smells so sweet and fruity, she has the most intense and most delicious aroma ever She brunches off like crazy, gave me a ton of big and dense bud. They were the biggest plants I have ever grown and to top that this cultivar rewarded me with one of the most tasteful buds, fit even for a picky connesour. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SE7000 done it's magic with this grow as with all my other grow ops. Packing on the trichs now, all expressing their own tings. The cherries Jubilee has a great bud structure nice and dense but has lots of packed in sugar and fan leaves sticking out of the colas. Looks nice but is a bit detrimental to the lower stuff. I’ve defoliated but it really is dense and awkward to trim, so I’ve kinda left it.

Everything is going great, all plants were defoliated on day 21 of flower and all growth on the bottom 1/3 removed, airflow couldn't be better now..all plants are fairly uniform but a couple are showing yellow on old growth, we've been very light on the nutrients and will try increasing their N slightly to see if this helps..beyond a few yellow leaves everything looks great! The tops are getting pretty close to the light and I can't raise it much more... hygrometer is reading about 31 degrees 5cm from the light so I think it should be ok. Nutrients are the same as last week, not much has changed except the buds are getting fatter :) Letss goooo

11/21/24 Short facts: - Watered: 1 x 1.0L, 1 x 1.5L, 1 x 1.5L, 1 x 1.75L — 5.75L - VPD @ 1.4 — raised by 0.1 - Light @ 80% ~700 to 1050 PPFD - BioBizz Bio-Bloom increased to 3ml/L - BioBizz Bio-Grow increased to 3ml/L - Getting colder! At night between 18 to 19°C --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There isn’t much to report this week. She’s doing fine, but she might need a little more CalMag and nitrogen. So I’m giving her some extra CalMag and a small amount of bonemeal. Since the weather is getting quite cold for the region - and we’ve already had a bit of snow - the cellar where my grow tent is set up is cooling down, with nighttime temperatures dropping to 18–19°C. Therefore, I’ve ordered some heat mats, which should arrive tomorrow. I’m aiming to stabilize the root temperature at around 22°C consistently, so the nights won’t be too cold anymore. I’ll go into more detail in next week’s update.

Monsoon finally hits! Temps have dropped below the 110 mark low 100's! This grow will likely last > 30 weeks. Since GD only supports 30 weeks of diaries, this "week" will actually last two weeks. Day 15: Plants looking healthy as can be! I didn't make a rack for the lights but I got em in. Looks jankie, but I think its gonna work. 🙏 Day 16: Trying to work out kinks in my grow. Since I put the other 2 lights in, I'm now battling the heat and humidity. Switch the fans around. Got the cold air coming in down low. Will feed them in the morning. Day 17: The girls were showing signs of being thirsty this morning for sure! They received their first drain to waste watering. They will be getting some additional nutes on the next feeding (AN B-52, AN Sensizyme, AN CalMag Extra). Day 18: Looking amazing today! I tried my hand at a little LST. Wish the girls luck.!! 🙏 Tomorrow is the official 2 week mark from breaking ground. So, not sure. I've got the humidity finally dialed in at around 50-55% and the temp around 78°. Also gave them another drink as they were already dry about 1.5" down?? Day 19: This is the official 2 week mark. I think I stressed the girls pretty good yesterday, but they look to be recovered today. Should start seeing good growth in the day to follow. Will just be tucking a leaf here and there for a bit. I will being doing a straight water feed next with Great White. Day 20: Nothing new to report other than found 2 leaves that had some yellow mottling. I added Sensizyme, Recharge, and Great White to this feeding. Did not do drain to waste. Just watered the outside perimeter. PPM was 260 at 5.8 ph. Day 21: NO MORE NUTES for these girls! Tips on a couple of em are turning yellow!!! Stupid me. Over watering and giving too many nutes.

Day 28-35 Mistake d28-29 (videos) Shortly after transplantation, I tried to LST the plants by making a bend in the main line. However, I did it too quickly and without proper preparation. This ended up more like a HST. The poorly developed roots suffered from the force coming from the bending. I also happen to have increased the DLI from 25 to 30-32 which surely didn't help. The result of this was stomped growth plus leaf scorch mainly caused from roots damage and lack of hydration/nutes intake. Fortunately, they did a nice comeback during the following days. Plants 1 and 3 survived the pinching d31 Plants 2 and 4 were topped from severe pinching d31 Grow room was updated to final setup d34 They are drinking like healthy plants d34 Controls setup: DLI 32mol RH 60% Temp 24.8°C Plants fan 30m/15m - on/off Extract fan >= 25.3°C

Day 37 - She fully recovered from topping. I defoliated her a bit to open the new stems to get direct light (so they can grow). I used electrical wires to bend the two main stems. I really love using these wires as you can use them very easy to have a wide canopy like in ScROG method. I did these two hours before the night cycle so she will have the night to recover fully. (Actually I took a video while doing this, but it seems I did not start recording. Sorry for that.) Day 38 -This is how I LST and mainline the plant in video.
