Week 1 and the first round of testing for this recent new cross. The F1 generation of Northern Spice. Germination was a full 100% with varying degrees of development across 3 days in the towel. Oddly however, about half of the beans cracked the shell head first with their cotelydons. Stability is always suspect with F1s anyway, but this kind of sampling, this early is concerning somewhat. We’ll see where it goes. On another topic, we also made some big changes to the grow method this cycle. We’ve moved over to a grow system by the bucket company. Fairly similar to the Dutch bucket design, just without the small reservoir in each bucket that acts as an additional insurance policy. So far, she’s purr’n like a kitten👌. Strain details She’s a mix of a particularly strong Northern Lights, mixed with a Spicy Bitch sativa hybrid. The hope is that we’ll be able to combine the overtly narcotic effects in the NL and mellow it out somewhat with the quality daytime sativa effects found in the SB. Both strains feature numerous grower qualities. Both parents possessed vigour and resiliency, the SB particularly colourful in late flower.

She had a great start but then it degraded. I had to cut a bunch of burned leaves. Since last topping new sites spread out and she seems to recover. # D53 I went walk in forest and disovered very nice mulch with mycelium to prepare JMS (JADAM microbial solution) with it: Ingredients: - 200/300g of forest mulch with mycelium - 2 gallons of dechlorinate water - 3 cooked potatoes - 7.5 gram of sea salt Preparation: - Add the water to the bucket. - Add potatoes inside a mesh filter (pantyhose) and add forest mulch to an other filter, stick them to the bucket. - Add salt, mix the water to dissolve it. - Massage the patatoes filter then massage the mulch filter. - Some reaction could be observed, the water moves like a current in the sea. - Place the bucket covered with tshirt inside grow tent for approx 48 hours. # D55 Feed with 3 liters of dechlorinated water and JMS at 1:10 ratio. # D56 Prepare AACT based on: - 5 liters dechlorinated water - 15 ml molasse of sugar can - 15 ml Bokashi tea - 30 ml JMS - 125 grams vermicompost - 12.5 grams nettle - 12.5 grams horsetail - 5 grams growing guano - 5 grams fish hydrolyzate - 5 grams epsom salt + calmag # Day 57 Feed with 3.8 liters of AACT.

Beginning of week 8: Tropicana is 24 cm high and the stem is 36 cm long. She is a legal frosty angel (10 degrees last night) growing on a rotten balcony in a small town in germany. Day 50 🌥️☁️☁️ 10-19 degrees, humidity 78% I noticed that the soil has sunk. It moved downstairs, between the drainage I guess. New pots problem. Got my compost, summer will be long and there will be a second round for sure. So I prepared bigger pottery pots, maybe 15 liter, which will be ready for seeds in about a month or two. Tropicana needs rainwater now, some sunny hours during the day. That’s all. I like how she develops. Day 51 ☁️🌨️☁️☁️☁️🌦️🌈 14-19 degrees and humidity is around 77%. I gave Tropicana too much nitrogen. Spotted some signs and stop with fertilizers for now. It‘s ok but the comfrey manure had more nitrogen than I expected. In the next days we‘ll have a lot of rain, so Tropicanas soil will be washed and this will solve the problem maybe. It‘s a big difference to grow cannabis in a pot then veggies in the ground in a no dig garden with yearly compost mulching. My Tomatoes in ground loved this 1:5 comfrey manure breakfast but for Tropicana less would have been more. Maybe 1:15 or 1:10. It always depends on the raw material for the liquid manure. This year we had a lot of rain and the comfrey had maybe more nitrogen as usually. Day 52 🌥️🌤️🌦️🌤️ 13 - 19 degrees and the humidity is 69%. Tropicana had about 0.8 Liter pure rainwater today. It was raining the whole night. Day 53 🌧️☁️☁️🌧️ 13-17 degrees, humidity is around 90%. Me and Tropicana have a rest. We chill with a tasty vape on the balcony while doing nothing more then chill. Day 54 🌧️☁️☁️🌧️ 13-18 degrees, humidity is around 93%. Saturday, time for cleaning the balcony and take some fotos of my flowers. Her smell is getting much more intensiv. I see that the color of the buds is getting diverse. The soil is moist from the rain. Day 55 🌧️☁️☁️☁️ 13-18 degrees, humidity is falling, now 69%. Tropicana spend the day chilling with her friends on the balcony. They talked about the weather and what to do in the next week. Day 56 ⛅️🌤️☀️🍉 12-24 degrees, humidity is around 78% Tropicana had a sunbath for hours. I bought a cheap magnifying glass today and I‘m so happy with this one. It have 30x / 60x lenses and two LEDs. I found it in a shop for mycologists. I‘m crazy about mushroom hunting. Normal mushrooms, yes. So this is absolutely relaxing viewing the structure of fruits, my homemade soil, little insects living inside. Actually this was a tip out of a blog article of Fast Buds Tropicana Cookies week by week guide, which I can highly recommend. I gave Tropicana in the morning a 1:20 field horsetail tee, ~ 0,7 liter in three steps. 100-200-400 milliliters. She was drinking it till sunset. The pot got lighter till evening, around half a kilo or maybe more.

Wish I could have vegged the clones another couple of weeks but the Zkitzo was just growing to fast. In hindsight shouldn’t have put a plant from seed in with the clones. Seeds always grow like mad in NFT and clones are more manageable as they don’t have a tap root. Still got some absolutely beautiful looking and smelling bud from the Zkitzo so can’t really regret it. The Gelatos are rock solid right through and look absolutely beautiful. Used rainwater right the way through on this so should smoke nice to. Better pictures as it dries.

Day 57- Did a light defoliation. RO water at 66 PPM. Running until more Ambers pop. Day 58- checked trichromes, ambers are showing up in clumps, I’d say about 15-20% amber trichs at the moment. PPM 55. Day 60: 4-5 day flush brings me to harvest. Cut down both plants, light trim of larger fan leaves and placed in tent. I used 2 scrog nets to hang the buds, worked ok, need to make tighter next time... too much droops! So far, First 24 hours of tent at 68 F and 70% humidity. At 48 hours 67F and reduced to 60% humidity At 72 hours 69 F and reduced to 55% humidity, maintaining till dry. Trying to get temps a little lower but no A/C... Trying to stretch drying time close to 14 days. Anything after 7 and I’m happy.

This is week 2 for the "gelato auto" from female seeds. this week it was given it's first dose of worm tea to the soil and I also foliar fed the leaves for disease prevention. I tried to transplant some clover cover to the right side of the pot from a empty container the clover did not transfer well unfortunately and so I now have a bare section in my cover crop I'll likely leave it alone and just proceed without regard to it. the plant it's self looks healthy however it does seem to be behind some of my other varieties in size I won't know until later in the grow if this is a normal trait that is made up later or if something is off. As far as I can see though all is well. In addition a added a diy light mover to the garden to aid them in getting more light and I'm steadily increasing the intensity daily. I'm going to do some LST to this plant but because I'm not convinced of its resilience at this time I may avoid topping. thats all for this week. 13.4.25: This week has been so busy in the garden! I forgot to take any notes, so I'll see what I can do from memory! 😅 I watered several times this week, and I used Ecothrive Biosys with dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4. I watered about 2 litres to each plant. Throughout the week, I've been defoliating all the fan leaves 🍃 The trichomes are looking all milky to me. I stopped watering a couple of days ago, and the pots are totally dry. 14.4.25: Today is Harvest Day! I finally put together my clothes rail, which I'm using to hang my plants on. I purchased a hanging mosquito net for a bed from Amazon. It's black, which will hopefully block out what little light there is in my drying room. Also, to prevent debris from sticking to the buds whilst drying. It hangs from the ceiling so it will just hang over the clothes rail. Additionally, the net will allow good airflow. I put a bit of thought into this method, so I look forward to seeing it in action! 😅 So let's wait a while and find out how much we yielded here! 😃💚✌️🌱👌
