This girl has got some absolutely beautiful leaves. They have a dark tinge to them, that I don't know if it shows through on the pictures, but it is very cool. I think I may have too many buds for the size of my grow space but I can't decide which to trim or if I'm just overthinking things. Ill leave her for now and just tuck away leaves as the bud sites start to develop and then later trim any, if there are any of course, that may not have time or space to grow....... so for now I'll leave her to decide. she looks indica dominant (I've not checked) which suits me, I'm a fan of indica in a growing sense for my space, but means she will be a thirsty girl in my experience, compared to the sativa dominants. You can see in the photos that she has started to take square shape for her canopy space. I was once worried about her leaves touching the £1 emergency blanket I use as light reflection in the grow cupboard but has never been an issue its way too thin to hold anyway near enough heat to ever be an issue so the shaping also come somewhat naturally. shes under a selection of home standard LED bulbs around 10w, random blasts of UVB from a reptile light (I think helps growing with a slight slowing of the auto influence. My own thoughts from previous experiments only.) the other lights remain on 24 hours with a few 5 min breaks in the timer to cool the bulbs down a touch. I of course talk to her/them on a regular basis which has some scientific backing somewhere showing benefit for both of us.

I had lots of issues with this as it was my first grow essentially and I kept running into VPD issues, whether it be too high of a temperature or humidity, but that is not the fault of the plant or genetics, just have a tiny cabinet to grow in so it's hard to dial things in. There is not much of a smell, it's kind of like a Michael's craft store, or potpourri? It's very subtle and kind of sweet, but it does not stand out. Hopefully, the smell will come out more once it's dried and starting to cure? We'll see. Also, I have no idea the amount of wet weight harvested, I just sort of cut the whole plant at the base and then hung it upside down. 😅

Week 5 of Vegetation It was really a great week⬆️🌱. The Gelato has really stretched out... 16 cm in a week. I’ve already tied the lower shoots back a bit so they’ll get more sun during the flowering phase. Helloooo everyone👋 This is the last week all the girls are ready for harvest🤩✂️ Im very happy with the result for my first outdoor photoperiod session! It was challenging but i had a lot of chance with the weather,this year was exceptionnal😎☀️ Absolutely different to grow outdoor If you want to skip the rain & the cold weather you can force the plants to flower,it works but you have to remove the plants every day at the same hours⏰ If you have the time to make your Homemade nutrient 100% bio its really easy you can find everything in nature feel free to ask me👌 In love with the beautiful purple color of the Biscotti from zamnesia😈

So today is the day i switch my plants to flowering lights schedule and flowering nutes, started with 1/4 the recommended dosage and will gradually up them, only boosters i left at recommended values. Ppm is 800. Next will be 1000, then 1200 and maybe 1400. I plan to flush on days 16, 28, 35 and 42 of flowering, leave them to dry for 4-5 days so roots will oxygenize and help to stack more dense buds, and then add nutes. I plan to do the final flush for last 2 weeks with flawless finish. You can see some before and after training photos and videos from today, defoliated some leaves and LST-ing branches, spreading them out last time so light can reach smaller branches, after all she got some more stretching to do and its why i left sensi grow with more Nitrogen. Hello. This is the end of week and the beginning of week 9 of veg. I'd like the get these girls out to the green house this week, but it's still getting down to 5* c here at nights. So I'll get the oil filled portable heater out there to keep them warm at night. The exhaust of the dehumidifier will help heat the tent at night too! I've got 8 - 5 gallon plastic bins I'll fill with water to act as a heat sink for the greenhouse tent, to help keep it warm at night. I'm getting the males whittled down. I've got 3 that passed the rub the stem and feel/smell your fingers test. The next test for the males to pass is... I want alot of male flowers on each individual flower stock, that will help make tight hard flowers on the females. In a few more weeks I'll know which is which. One of the females has a smoke smell to it with the rub test. But some of the females have a nice sweet lemony cleaner type of smell to them. Should Be Good... This weeks comic is a little aggressive... So I hope it doesn't offend anyone... It's just art.... I tried to censer it. OK. Be Cool. Chuck.

06.03. F46 Day 46 of flower and everything is moving forward exactly as planned. The powdery mildew situation is significantly more under control compared to previous grows. It hasn’t disappeared completely, but the difference is huge. At this stage of flowering it’s absolutely manageable and no longer something that worries me. Humidity is staying consistently between 47–53%, which helps keep the situation stable. Aside from that, the plants are simply impressive. The buds continue to develop beautifully and the overall health of the canopy remains excellent. It’s one of those moments where you just stand in front of the tent and admire what’s growing in there. More and more it becomes clear that this genetic line is something special. Every day the plants show more character and quality. This run continues to be an absolute pleasure to watch. 🌿🔥.

This was a quiet week. The girls were recovering from their topping but were also flipping into flower. They have been getting water every two days and that seems to be an issue so I bought an auto watering drip system to install next week. The orange sherbet is going well. She continues to develop. Slower than the cookies and strawberry banana but better than the purple lemonade. 👋🌱✨ day 83 I harvested Tropicana a day after Lemon Cherry Cookies, after two days in darkness and drying out. The purple-reddish buds were even airier than those on the LCC, but she made up for it with larger nugs and a higher yield. She probably could've gone a bit longer, but the show must go on. 😄 resume: Second harvest this year. If I keep going like this, I'll be self-sufficient 😍 Again without any pests... (knock on wood). I used to get at least fungus gnats every time. With this run, I wanted to figure out what went wrong in my previous grow. I suspected the water, so this time I used mostly distilled water with a small amount of dechlorinated tap water (max.20%). Adjusted pH with phosphoric acid, since I had been using citric in the previous run. The results were a bit better, but that may simply be because I used a wider pot, more soil, and managed the watering much better. I think the real limiting factor is the pot volume. The main supplements I used this run were lignohumates. Early on, I sprayed a lot with a lignohumates+nitrophenols (Vitalic), then later switched to regular lignohumates in the watering along with kelp extract. I also used Epsom salt and gypsum preventively... probably not enough, or wrong ratio, because later I had to correct a calcium deficiency with a liquid calcium supplement. The downside was its high nitrogen content, which may have affected the bud structure. During late flowering,I added even more junk food 😅 like Bloom, Ripen and Silica 🙏

I originally started this diary only for my own reference but I'm so pleased to have learned that others have found it helpful or interesting, for whatever reason. So, without further ado: Jan 19 Day 105 Harvest day! 🎉🎉 Not really knowing how to tackle the situation, I started by cutting all of the fan leaves I was able to reach. Then, I cut each branch working from the perimeter inward - which due to the way she grew, was essentially the same as working from the bottom branches of the meristem to the top. Each branch was cut, cleaned, and handled individually before moving on to the next. Decided to wet-trim most of the branches, leaving 4 fairly untouched (only fan leaves were removed). Will be interested to see the differences, if any. They're all drying/hanging near the grow tent ~45%RH, 72F (22C). It isn't completely dark though, as some light is escaping the tent into the closet where they are hanging. I'm hoping this isn't terrible but I'll be keeping my eye on them. The process took the better part of an evening but I was cautiously learning, taking breaks, and generally being fairly slow. I'm sure I'll be faster and more confident next time. Jan 27 Day 113 Drying is complete, I think. Branches were hung and dried for 8 days in a consistent 68F (20C) 40% RH. They were determined to be dried after hearing a snap when bending (not breaking) large stems and buds felt dry to touch. Sugar leaves bordering on crispy while buds still had some give / fluffiness. The flowers from previously manicured branches were relatively easily plucked. However, the dry trimming process for the unmanicured branches proved to be a bit of a pain. They have been placed in a pyrex container to cure. I'm hoping flavors and aromas that are currently lacking will develop in time. 🤞 --- Stats --- Veg time: ~45 days. Flowering time: ~60 days. Height ~18in., ~46cm. Main Bud Length: ~9in., 23cm. Harvested 16 Hangable branches and a few extra medium/small buds. Bud Wet Weight, with stems: 242g, ~8.5oz. Larf/Popcorn Sugar-leaf Wet Weight (not counted above): 18g, ~0.6oz. Leaf/Waste Wet Weight: 38g, ~1.3oz. Drying time: 8 days. Dried Weight with Stems: 70g, ~2oz. Trimmed and Dried Total Bud Weight: 50g, ~1.75oz. --- Thoughts in hindsight --- Firstly, I can't believe I haven't tried growing sooner. So rewarding in so many ways! My initial hope was to harvest an oz., so I am obviously quite happy we could surpass that mark by a good margin. This is a testament to the plant more than me of course, as I was completely inexperienced and was purposefully as hands-off as I could be comfortable with throughout her growth. I can only imagine things will improve with time. Paper-towel germination seems to be prone to more stress for myself and arguably the seedling as well. Floating in 1% H2O2 solution seems to be ideal for me. I made bad soil choices. This mixture seemed to be too dense, leading to some watering/strangulation issues mid-growth. My 2nd grow consisting of mostly coco coir seems healthier and seems easier to maintain proper hydration. Coco might also be reusable while this soil definitely seems spent now. I didn't respect pH at first and initial testing was eye-opening. That said, after simply testing water and fertilizer readings a few times, I gradually felt more comfortable with guestimating during most feedings, only testing sporadically later in her life cycle. This seemed to be fine and was a bit of a relief after early testing proved tedious every feed. I've been happy with Better-Gro orchid fertilizer. This is of course contrary to most advice, which I admit is probably for good reason. That said though, I didn't notice any major toxicities or deficiencies during her grow. So, these products seem to have worked for me and are so much more affordable than cannabis-specific fertilizers. I was quite weary about not having cal-mag, but this never seemed to be an issue in this particular case. However, I'll be keeping a similar eye on my 2nd grow in coco, which I understand may need it. Training and pruning is important. This plant was quite bushy and wild likely resulting in quite a bit of unnecessary larf/popcorn. Not to mention the additional time needed to trim when harvesting. Also regarding training, pipe cleaners can leave noticeable cuts in the stem they hold. Thickly coated flexible garden wire would likely be ideal. I need to get a loupe or magnifying attachment for the phone. Digital zoom with shaky hands is not great for checking trichomes and my 3x magnifying glass just doesn't cut it. I cannot speak toward potency or yield without more experience, but simply for the sake of a greener hue, I think I could've harvested her a week earlier. Because I left a few branches untended during dry, I was able to experience both the wet and dry trimming processes. Unless keeping leaves for extra humidity during drying, I seem to prefer wet trimming as the still supple leaves were easier to remove with less bud handling.
