I'm going away for 30 days about a week into this grow. I'm going to automate weeks 1 through 5 by using the Blumat watering system along with the automated fan from AC Infinity. Hopefully, these will keep things going while I'm gone. I've never used the Blumat products before and I'm excited to see their potential. If I succeed, I'll return to happy 5-week old plants. If not, I'll have to start a new grow...which is what I was going to do anyway. I have nothing to lose but a couple of seeds. Let's get this automated grow started. Day 1 - I placed the seeds directly in a fist-sized clump of Coast of Maine Seed Starter soil that was then placed in a 3-gallon pot full of Coast of Maine Stonington Blend. This will ensure the seedling doesn't get exposed to the nutrient-rich soil too soon. I set the light 2 feet above the top of the pots so they have room to grow into the 18" to 12" range. I also set the light strength to 60% during germination. The temperature in the tent remained 75 degrees and humidity was 70%. I also covered the soil over the germinating seeds with mason jars to act as humidity domes. Day 4 - Both pots sprouted this morning. I immediately removed the mason jar humidity domes. I also increased the light to 70% strength and installed the Blumat watering system to help me keep things growing while I'm gone.

Day 63 F: Well here we are at the end of a brilliant grow that has seen totally different mixes of heights and genetics successfully completed under the Mars Hydro fc3000 and my own mix of supersoil. Rhe light managed to keep them all at full tilt even though they were at big , differing canopy heights. If inhad used the middle of the room , I could have covered the canopy a lot better and the light would have easily reached the whole canopy despite their odd height differences. I have a Mars tent that will be perfect for this light to totally fill out with 6 plants once I am back at full production and over this slight delay upcoming. The soil has been brilliant from the off , even the small Mexican airline #1 that seemed to struggle with the start up and strength of the mix has finished well. I only added ecothrive , eco life cycle and biosys tea throughout the grow with a couple of grams of Megacrop in flower as a booster. The watering in the beds has been very easy to maintain and keep moist and the more shallow depth has helped check at root level and bottom easily. The immobile nature of the bed has meant that using different strains as the 3 is maybe not ideal , workable , but not ideal and needs some forward planning next time out . Besides that , it has been very simple to manage. The strains have been perfect throughout the weeks with little to no signs of any deficiency. I did remove a lot of fan leaves over the past week to really open the lower parts of the plant to more light for the ripening time . It will also help with the drying time and harvest. There is a lot of really nice colas on these ladies and I cannot recommend the genetics for autos from Fast buds enough. The Strawberry pie finished beautifully and with 2 phenos ro enjoy once dry , I am really looking forward to hitting that one. The six shooter look deadly for the unweary too with their frosty and kush looking purples and reds. Mexican airline have done a nice job on fattening their buds at the end but the #1 is way less bountiful than her sister. Let's see what a drying period does to their overall yields now. They look so big when 1st hung to dry but it is so disheartening watching them shrink to tiny versions of the originals. The dark period has made them a little more tacky without a doubt and their smells are so obvious going through the plants cutting. Temps are at around 10°c in the room with no lights on so this will be a long ,low and slow dry . I do have the dehumidifier on its highest setting to avoid these fat buds developing any bud rot but the low temps will also be a huge help. I have a nice mix of aromas among these with lemon , fresh cut fruit , candy cane sweet and a spicy fuel . Roll on the harvest and cure now. Hopefully a harvest report will follow within 10-14 days. Day 14 for these kre8 Genetics CandyMan regular seeds but I'm feeling confident I've got at least 2 girls growing 🤞🏻 been on mild feed of monkey Nutrients every couple days and seem to be enjoying it 😏 gave them just water today. The pots will be topped up with soil in the next day or so then I can take the pins out and start topping & training them 😍 Update: I've now just topped them on Day 19

Day 9 and I'm super proud of how things are going! Runtz stopped growing for about 3 days (d5-d8) since she showed signs of stress/deficiency. After the leaves started greening I watered twice with ph 5.9 water only and she started growing again. I will give another "flush" and I will reintegrate nutrients on a lighter dose. Zkittlez looking very healthy and quick to grow. The two Sticky B look really similar for now too - considering to top one in the future and see the difference! Day 13 Runtz is really slow comparing to the others and the deficiency/lock seems to still be there even tho I adjusted my ph to 5.8 and hold on nutes for the last waterings. Zkittlez still working very quicly and considering topping and LST in the next couple of days. The two Sticky are growing pretty much the same and look healthy! I started watering more (from 0.3l to 0.7l per day) since I'v been told that 60% coco requires much more water than I thought. I'm trying to promote root grow watering in circle around the plant, not touching the stem. Seems like they like it so far.

07/01/22: Pre Flower week - lights have been switched to 12/12 and are at 80% still. The plants are really showing their sativa genes with huge growth. plants are average 70cm although two are 90cm. bud sites have finally started to show growth and lightening of the green toward the end of the the week. humidity is low - the carbon bag seems to have done a good job also.

She’s a bit of a mess after changing res for a flush , will need to sort out something easier next time . Also wish I had scrog to make better use of this little light , Day 83 started a flush , will part harvest in a few days as I’m going away, buds could be better they are somewhat sticky pistils look ready , Ordered a loupe a little late . has been a good learning experience, Notes - don’t over do nutes early - change res more frequently - try lollipop and use a scrog - invest in a higher watt light for yield and tighter bud , - don’t grow near summer heat major issue , autumn and spring more ideal

1/1/22 - just looked 1/2 - watered 1/3 - just looked 1/4 - just looked 1/5 - Just looked 1/6 - Cut

During week 9 the flowering continued nicely and all plants developed nice flower crowns. Unfortunately I spotted some brown pistils on some plants and at this stage that only can mean they have been inseminated by pollen. Since I have no male plants around I thoroughly inspect the nodes of all plants from bottom to top. I am searching for hidden male pollen-sacks that have grown on my female plants and sure enough I find several ripe and open pollen sacks on three plants. This means those plants ARE HERMAPHRODITES, plants that have BOTH SEXES, they are female plants that also grow male pollensacks...my ABSOLUTE HORROR! The open pollen sacks have released pollen onto the female pistils around them and this turned the pistils brown. Where those fertilized pistils are, seeds will now start to grow inside the buds of my grow. 😢 After spraying water over the plants, in order to neutralize the free pollen inside, I carefully cut off the hermie-plants on the main stem right above the soil and immediately discard them far away from my grow-tent into the trash. Since I spotted the hermies early, I hope my grow will not be fully seeded, but only have a few seeds grow in some buds here and there. My fingers are crossed! My 'CHEESE'-plant from BIG BUDDHA SEEDS has turned a little yellow and developed some dark spots on the leaves, which I attribute to the plant standing alone in a tray now. She seems to be overfed a little and getting too much water to the roots. I therefore take her out of the water for a few days, in order to let the medium dry out a little and let the roots get some air. The SANlight EVO4-120 LED-lights work like a treat. They are now running at 100% dimm-level and are hung 30 cm above the top of the plants. The BIO NOVA nutrients are still given at half strength of the recommended dose and some plants seem to be overfed...I have to keep an eye on them.

since the end of last week I have started to untie the branches later in the growth. always trying to give more light to the shoots that arise from the joints, to then direct these too towards the light. All this while I lower the plant by about fifteen centimeters so that the elongation given by the change of light favors the spacing. From day to day I checked the situation and, after three days, I installed a very rudimentary net in order to re-fit the highest branches and spacing them, both between them, and being careful to leave light and space the new throats. now I am just waiting for it to start to equalize in height while it will enter, I hope very soon, in the pre-flowering and then definitively blossom. just stress if not some tying to the new thrown that will decide to come up. I will increase with fertilizers at this time when the plant will recharge to the maximum to overcome yet another change. we hope for tasty buds, this cultivation is becoming more and more interesting as it is difficult.
