Often, marijuana growers who have their plants in indoor grow tents or rooms with artificial lighting, take into account parameters such as temperature and relative humidity to maximize plants growth and bloom, thus obtaining abundant harvest with top quality flowers. As we will see later, these factors affect different processes of the plant, such as transpiration or nutrient uptake. However, we usually forget about another important factor that is related to the aforementioned ones: vapor pressure deficit or VPD. Broadly speaking, VPD is the difference between the amount of water vapor that the atmosphere is able to retain (which depends on temperature) and the amount of water vapor contained in it (relative humidity). It is usually measured in kilopascals (kPa). Providing our plants with a correct relationship between temperature and relative moisture will keep us on the right VPD parameters, increasing the plant’s activity and thus improving its growth and showing its full potential during the flowering phase. The ideal would be to adjust both parameters (temperature and humidity) to get the best possible VPD value, so that the development of plants will be amazing.In the chart above you can see the right temperature and moisture values to maximize the development of cannabis plants. The green zone shows you optimal values of VPD, in which it would be ideal to maintain the environment. The orange zone shows correct values, in which plants should not have problems to develop normally. However, red areas show values in which your plants will be very far from hit their full potential, since the relation between temperature and moisture is not optimal. With relatively high values of VPD (between 5 and 12) plants tend to open their stomata and release a considerable amount of water vapor into the environment (increasing their transpiration). This increase in transpiration results in an increase in the plant’s photosynthetic activity, which will need more nutrients and will improve its overall growth, both during growth and bloom. The best range is between 7.5 and 10.5, which we have marked in green. However, we must be careful that VPD is not too high (dark red zone) since the plant would close its stomata to avoid releasing too much water vapor to the environment, which would result in fast dehydration due to excessive transpiration. On the other hand, if VPD is too low (light red zone), the plant will also close its stomata for not releasing more water into the atmosphere, which in this case would be already saturated (it would have reached the maximum water retention capacity in a specific temperature). In this way, reducing transpiration will also reduce photosynthesis, which has a direct impact on the plant’s development and yield. That way, VPD is essential when it comes to offer the best conditions for the development of plants, also to understand its water requirements according to the nutrients used and thus adjust them correctly to meet the grower’s expectations. Starting to decrease RH . -[Day 103] Today the Y Griega started to push on her terpenes, believe it or not that plant smell stronger than the 6 giants Skunks (the Skunk strain is already a very strong smelling plant), she smell like a coffeeshop front door, the fragrance is absolutely amazing and fantastic, I will definitely grow a full crop of that strain ! -[Day 105] 42 days of Blooming folks ! It's getting serious now 😄 If it can helps you to realize, each plants gots 4 side and a middle, each sides gots 4-6 buds and there's 5-6 buds in the middle, there's 11 plants of 1,60m/5.25ft, how many buds does it makes ?? I honestly didn't think five plans in one tent would go so well. For me anyway. But it's gone very well. Two plants seem to be about 2-3 weeks from being ready. Three of them look really good and really frosty but have a ways to go. Continue to provide the best environment I can. Closely watching my nutrients which will be going up this week. Note on smell... It smells like everything in there. I would say the most prominent would be two types of fruit and a turpentine type smell which is blowing my mind. I'll have to break them down individually when they're done to see what each one actually smells like. It's pretty amazing. Will definitely be growing Tastebudz Genetics again. Hopefully for my next grow. That's how good these plants are. i'm ready to go now!

Blimburn GSC early flower. It was a rough week for me as I found caterpillars in my 2 of the 4 Blimburn GSC. I had vegged for indoor for quite some time for the outdoor season. It really doesn't surprise me because the other 2 that are in my covered screened outdoor grow area are perfectly fine. Any time you loose one It's heart breaking so loosing 2 is twice as hard. On the up side the 2 remaining look and seem to be doing amazing so that's greats. My piggies and K9's really enjoyed the plants and had no complaints disposing it. Hopefully being in the indoor area the other 2 will finish up but only time will tell. Happy Growing.

Performed as advertised, some bud rot bear harvest on #1 but two weeks of fog 8 hours a day will do that. Although in saying that, #2 had zero rot or WPM, so that's pretty impressive considering the season IMO. Harvested after 7 weeks flower, but they were showing reds and wanted to avoid any more issues due to crappy weather. Harvest totals Plant #1. 295g bud and 270g trim Plant #2. 476g bud and 200g trim All fan leaves were removed before drying so trim is mostly sugar leaves packed with THC. Great for hash 👍

Plant is 6 weeks from seed tomorrow, I have upped nutes to 3ml per litre of both A +B Canna coco nutrients for a couple of waterings but she's soon started showing nute burn again so i've lowered to 2.75ml . Stretch has slowed right down and I'm hoping will stop very soon

Strawberry Gorilla Automatic - FastBuds Day 71 - watered with 1L of RO tap water with defined nutrients, mixed in order and then pHd to 6.3. This will be the last feeding with full nutrients as I now start to prepare her for harvest! Her next feed will include half of the defined nutrient units and then she will have her first flush! 👍🏻 She has taken on a beautiful purple hue on her flower now along with the deep purple on her leaves, this combined with the white and amber of the pistils, and the lime green on the bud sites, really makes her pop and shimmer, shes very beautiful!😍 Her armoa is really starting to come out now too, she smells just like strawberries and candy! Her trichomes are mostly milky with some starting to turn amber, so I'd say another few days and she'll be ready for harvest! I know she wont have a huge yield, but the point of this micro grow, was to find out more about the strain and how what a micro grow could achieve, so no matter the yield, I am super happy with the results so far - to the point where I am planning to have two micro grows in my next grow (TB SkillteZ by Bulldog Seeds & Pineapple Express F1 by Zamnesia)🙌

At the end of week 8 the BMR is showing signs of further yellowing of the leaves could be the plant has used up all the nutrients in the substrate. The bracts are swelling up and the try chromes and more clear looking like 60%. The lady will continue to receive pure balanced phd water until the end of her bloom cycle!

Should probably start my 2 week flush at the end of this week but I want to harvest this plant and my other one(which is 2.5 weeks behind) at the same time so I'm probably going to try and push the feeding another 2 weeks until I start the final flush, trying to have this stay in flower for 10 weeks, the breeder says flowering period takes 8-10 weeks so I think I'll still be just fine. This week went well, the plants are slowly starting to fade and colors are starting to come out. Gonna follow through with my original plan and continue feeding lightly for the next week or two until I start the final flush. I also raised the lights a bit this week mainly to help and give more light to my second plant that stretched so much its main cola is hitting the grow light, and also to help prevent any foxtailing from occurring.

Buds are really fattening up. Now comes the difficult part, deciding when to start the flush and then when to harvest. With likely warming days, quite likely an early harvest is on the cards so I can avoid curing in a hot tin shed. Closely monitoring the extended forecast to hopefully harvest at the perfect time as all will be wasted if curing in a 30c tent. At the moment due to a changing forecast its possible I will only achieve a 5 day flush, and have 3 days to cure in mild temps. Unfortunately from then it looks.like things seriously heat up, if extended curing is required then likely I'll bring in side the house in mason jars during the heat of the day then cure further on the drying rack in my tin shed till during the cooler evenings until ready. No. I know this isn't ideal but I've done this previously and always ended up with good.buds just way more effort that's for sure. This being a secret grow has additional challenges that's for sure. My wife, and 2 teenage kids have no idea what goes on in this shed as to their knowledge only garden tools are stored here, if anyone in my house did gardening apart from me then this grow would be impossible that's for sure

Lilly x White Widow is doing great under the Spider Farmer G5000/UVR40 lights, in the Athena blended line nutrition. The canopy just got lollipopped. I also selectively defoliated the canopy. She has started to show her first pistils. Everything is looking great.
