Well this week has been amazing!!! Glad I took the time to flush ab 2.5 gals of ph’d water through each pot. Flushed em 2 days ago and now they are pulling all the green from the leaves and turning yellow and looking very ready to pull down. Literally from yesterday to today they’ve gotten frosty frosty so I’m hoping they let me get ab 2 more flushes (I water ab every 3-4 days) I like to let my pots dry out before I water idk if this is a good practice but I’ve heard you don’t want to make your roots lazy and feed them every time they need it. Make them work for it and they’ll grow strong. Speaking of strong these ladies are throwing some hella strong smells. CANT WAIT!!!! Also my buddy who I got them clones from said the one on the right may be a liberty haze mix bc dude might have mixed up the clones when he did them all 🤦‍♂️🏽 Lol oh well!! I’m a happy camper either way soo much learning!! U till next week hopefully harvest can’t wait to keep y’all in the loops!!!

25.08.2026 Update: Woche 7 ist gestartet & damit für mich auch der offizielle Wechsel in die Blüte :D. Ich bin bisher super zufrieden mit der **AK-47 Auto von HubaSeedBank**, denn der Grow verlief bis jetzt wirklich ohne größere Probleme. Die AK hat sich von alleine richtig gut im Zelt ausgebreitet, sodass ich weder toppen noch groß mit LST arbeiten musste. Mit ihren ca. 55cm scheint sie den Stretch jetzt hinter sich gelassen zu haben & macht insgesamt einen sehr gesunden Eindruck. Ab jetzt liegt die volle Konzentration auf den Buds & ich bin gespannt, wie stark sie in den nächsten Tagen zulegen. 28.08.2026 Update: Woche 7 ist in Progress & die AK-47 Auto von @HubaBreedingLab_85 sieht aktuell richtig gut aus. Das satte Grün gefällt mir sehr & auch die auffälligen Blattspitzen aus den letzten Wochen haben sich mittlerweile vollständig erholt. Die Buds entwickeln sich richtig schön und in den letzten Tagen gab es keinerlei zusätzliche Nährstoffe, sondern nur pH-reduziertes Wasser. Meine eigene Living Soil scheint ihren Zweck also bisher wirklich gut zu erfüllen . Am Samstag werde ich nochmal etwas Blattmasse rausnehmen, damit die Buds & unteren Bereiche wieder bessere Lichtverhältnisse bekommen. 30.08.2026 Update: Woche 7 ist so gut wie zu ende. First off I just want to say for some reason it’s not letting me change the right temperatures on my diaries ! Each time when I put it in they stay at 50. My day air stays 75 degrees an , night degrees is 70 ! Today is day 58 for all these ladies! This week has been really great ! Girls really progressed a lot , especially for one the Forbiddin Runtz, looks like is gonna finish up in a week or 2 ! Other then that they are coming along well! She's finally started flowering

In questa settimana ho iniziato ad impostare gli steli nella rete, che sostituisce in parte le clip e consente l’espansione dello stelo andando a coprire il suo “quadrato” all interno della rete. Pulizia completa di tutto quello che si trova al di sotto della punta dello stelo in modo da favorire in nutrimento alla sola testa. Un altra settimana di attesa, il tempo che si allunghino gli altri steli ed arrivino più o meno tutti a livello e si procede con lo switch a 12/12 per partire con la fioritura (l’impostazione della lampada è ancora a 400w di potenza )

Week 11: Final Countdown Light Mold Issues: Despite careful management, I encountered some light mold issues on both plants. Fortunately, I discovered the mold spots early and was able to remove them without significant losses. This underscores the importance of vigilance during these final weeks. Tangie: Tangie’s buds continue to swell and mature beautifully. The aroma of fresh orange peels is more pronounced, and the smell is fantastic. While not as frosty with resin as Gorilla Cookies, Tangie makes up for it with her delightful scent. Currently, about 20% of the trichomes are still clear, with the rest turning cloudy. I'm aiming for all cloudy and very few amber trichomes to achieve an uplifting effect. Tangie will receive one more feeding with Finalpart before starting the flushing process. Gorilla Cookies: For Gorilla Cookies, I plan to feed her with Finalpart only one more time, and then it’s flushing time. The trichomes are mostly cloudy, with no amber trichomes yet. Unlike Tangie, Gorilla Cookies is covered in resin, with a strong skunky aroma that intensifies daily. Pest Management and Plant Health: The sticky traps have been effective in keeping thrips at bay, and there have been no new issues with aphids. Overall, both plants appear healthy and vibrant, showing no signs of stress as they approach harvest. Environmental Conditions: The weather remains hot but humid. While the plants are receiving less light on the balcony compared to the garden, this hasn’t significantly affected the ripening process. Having them on the balcony makes it much easier to monitor them daily, reducing the risk of mildew and significant losses. Final Thoughts: As harvest time approaches, I'm excited for the final results. Everything is prepared for harvest, and the weather will stay perfect for the last few days. I plan to give the plants as much time as needed to reach their full potential. Update 08.08 During my morning inspection, I found mildew on both plants. For the Gorilla Cookies, I had to remove some larger mold spots inside the buds. I carefully disassembled parts of the plant to ensure I didn’t miss any mold and ultimately decided to harvest it. Although I couldn’t let it fully ripen as planned, the trichomes were about 90% cloudy and 10% clear. That most be good enough. For Tangie, the compact and bushy growth led to some mold issues. I took the largest colas off and gave them a thorough inspection to make sure no mold was left behind. So far, I've harvested about 70% of the plant. Since most of the pistils on the remaining parts are still white, I'm giving them a bit more time to mature. I'll keep feeding with Finalpart at a slightly lower dosage and see if we can squeeze out a bit more potential from these final buds! Update 12.08: Final Countdown We’re almost there! Most of the trichomes are now cloudy, with a few amber ones starting to show up on the top buds—signaling that she’s nearly ready for harvest. Today, I gave her the final dose of Finalpart. I’m convinced that Finalpart has made a significant impact, boosting resin production and speeding up the ripening process. The buds are looking absolutely fantastic. Once the coco dries out, I’ll give her a thorough flush to eliminate any remaining minerals from the grow medium. I’m optimistic that this will further enhance the aroma and flavor, making the final product even more exceptional. How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. This is true of seed starts or clones made from seed starts. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. This is due to light spectrum, temperature, and/or photoperiod changes. The different parallel lines that we are developing can be directed in a few different pathways flavorwise. Q. Why are the seeds white? A. Why is the sky blue? No, the mature seeds are shrouded by a rice paper thin membrane which has coloring and mottling on it, but it's so fragile that it disintegrates in the process of shucking. Stripped of the outer layer the seeds are very pale, nearly white. It came as no surprise that this plant would have abnormal seeds. Q. Is it a GMO? A. Wow...? Well, it's seriously "modified" and the modifications are definitely genetic, and it is an organism. (Genuinely Modified Organically!) Uh, no. No radiation, no recombinant DNA, no gene splicing or editing, no TALEN or CRISPR! These biotechnologies don't belong in the food and medicine plant industries. Q. Is it a big producer? A. Freakshow will produce nice, fat, dense colas (see gallery) with remarkable trichome coverage, and you can expect yields according to your veg. time, root space, and general knowledge and expertise as a gardener. The same set of variables apply to expected outcomes regarding cannabinoid levels and terpene profiles. Q.What is the lineage? A. (Bigbud x Skunk#1) x (Big Sur Holy Weed x Banana Kush). NLD("Sativa") dominant, but the afghanica influence is apparent. I'm pretty sure that Freakshow contains some Trainwreck and some Maui Wowie based on some research I did on the origins of the Pineapple Express. Interestingly Big Sur Holyweed, OG Kush, Banana, Trainwreck, and Maui Wowie are all of unclear origins. We have to remember that these are all just names and that they don't really mean much. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. Couch unlock. Q. Is it pest and mildew resistant? A. Indeed it is. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. Flowering day 3 since time change to 12 / 12 h Hey guys . My cutting heating broke 3-4 weeks ago, which was fixed immediately and everything went wonderfully. Now, 3 days ago, the central heating broke down in the entire room, so that at night I only have temperatures of around 13 degrees :-( . One or the other lady is slowly starting to see a phosphorus blockage, as this can no longer be absorbed at temperatures below 15 degrees, like many other nutrients :-( . A friend looked at the heating yesterday and came to the conclusion that a real company had to do it, which is by no means possible for a stranger to enter my room. I quickly ordered heating mats for all the boxes so that the ladies could at least get warm feet. That's all I have this winter full can do . Let's hope everything will be fine 🙏🏻. As soon as the heating mats are attached in the coming days, I will post them in the pictures. Now for the update. Despite the severe cold, the ladies are still doing well and have made good progres . The ladies only had to be watered once this week, each time with 1 l, because it absorbs the water very slowly because of the cold and I don't want to overwater it. I took every single plant in the pot to take a close look at their roots. These are snow white and look very healthy 🙏🏻. It was also the last time neem oil sprayed so that the last trips are finally gone. Otherwise everything was checked and a lot of planning was done, like I do with the heating mats. Since a friend had the same problem in one winter and the heating mats got 10 degrees plus on the pots, I am very confident that it will at least bring something for the last cold month 😃 🙏🏻. The journey with Chicken n’ Wafflez #2 has officially come to an end. ✂️🌱 The final week went very smoothly and followed pretty much the same routine as Mango Sherbert. During the last stage she only received RO water + CalMag, followed by 48 hours of complete darkness before harvest. She finished with some really nice looking flowers. Compared to Mango Sherbert, the buds were noticeably denser and more compact, but still not quite as rock solid as the Candy Hustle flowers. For me, they landed somewhere nicely in between. Resin production was also very good, with the flowers and surrounding leaves getting nicely frosted toward the finish. ❄️ 🌑 48h darkness 📅 Harvested: August 5th, 2026 ⚖️ Wet weight: ~590 g 🌿 Drying Chicken n’ Wafflez #2 was dried using my regular drying method, just like Mango Sherbert. After the 48-hour dark period, drying took another 7 days. Everything went perfectly – no mold or other issues during the drying process. After trimming, the final dry weight came in at approximately 80 g. 💨 Smoke Report This Chicken n’ Wafflez turned out completely different from the previous one I grew, especially when it comes to aroma and flavor. This phenotype is noticeably sweeter and much less spicy when smoked, which I personally really enjoy. The effect is a little stronger than Mango Sherbert, but still very suitable for everyday use. What I especially like is that it doesn't make me want to sit around doing nothing. Quite the opposite – it leaves me in the mood to do things, be active and talk to people. 😄 For me, that's a really enjoyable type of high: clearly noticeable and a bit stronger, while still remaining functional and social. 🏁 Final Thoughts Overall, Chicken n’ Wafflez #2 finished really well. The buds have a nice middle-ground density, firmer than Mango Sherbert, but not as dense as Candy Hustle, combined with good resin production and a much sweeter profile than my previous Chicken. 590 g wet → ~80 g dry, seven days of trouble-free drying and a final product that I'm very happy to smoke. Definitely an interesting phenotype and a much different experience from my first Chicken n’ Wafflez. 🍗 ? First Rosin Press Experiment As a little bonus after the grow, I also tried pressing rosin for the first time ever. A friend of mine owns a press, so this was more of a spontaneous experiment than something I had planned for the diary. I only used 120-micron dry sift/pollen collected from the trim, so definitely not the cleanest starting material and there is still plenty of room for improvement. For a first attempt though, I'm really happy with how it turned out. 😄 The biggest surprise were the terps, absolutely insane! Very sweet with a nice spicy background, and much more intense than I expected. 🔥 Definitely not my last time experimenting with a press! ?💨

Filter sock clogged up again, I just took the whole filter off, I'm not worried about the smell as it's outside in my shed anyway. Still warm and dry out this week, humidifier barely lasts 24 hours and that's just to keep the RH above 40. Trichs developing nicely, few more weeks to go for sure.
