Left Plant Buds are getting bigger and bigger Right plants not so much yet

Week 9 concluded with great progress and minor issues! She continues to stack on inflorescence and is frosting up nicely in the heat of the summer sun here. There hasn't been rain here for some time and the days are well into the 90's Fahrenheit. She spends most of the day outside and still comes into to bask in the 400W HPS while it's dark out. I try to give her a 4 hour lights-out immediately after bringing her inside for the day. I'm seeing leafhopper damage here and there but inspections haven't turned up any culprits recently. I saw them daily back in the spring when she was in veg but they seem to have moved on. I've ordered some spinosad soap in case they continue to damage the plant. As always, I overfed N during flower and she's clawing up a bit on me. Since then, I've been hitting her with plain water only to try and flush out some of the excess. Following manufacturer recommendations for nutrients always seems to bite me. Especially since all say not to stop with Grow, Part A, etc.. once flower begins. Clearly, I'll need to dial back the amount in the future. She seems to be progressing nicely in spite of these few issues though and overall I'm very happy with the genetics Dinafem has lovingly created. Day 15 I decided to try LST on the Forgotten Cookies x Forum Stomper again. In retrospect it still might have been a little early, but she took it well. Day 17 It's still crazy to me how fast these things grew in the beginning. Leaves starting to curl up on the edges which I think was from wind burn. I might have adjusted the fan a bit in response but I think I was ultimately fine with them getting some wind. Did first LST on the Forum Stomper and a re-adjust for the FCxFS. I was really happy with how many bud sites I uncovered on the Forum Stomper. Already felt like my LST techniques were improving. Day 19 More LST adjustment for both. With how fast they were growing, I was adjusting the wires pretty much daily. Still just water and recharge up to this point. Day 20 36x20x62 tent enters the chat. Really happy with how well this fit into my closet. Fit right into the corner where the plants used to be (Week 1 has the first setup picture). AC Infinity T4, Genesis clip-on fan. Girls are doing great.

As of day 21, the Blackberry Kush is growing sizable despite the very deformed growth. After really double checking every parameter last week, I feel comfortable saying it is a genetic issue. Thank you to those who commented and responded to the grow question over the past weeks, it really helps! I want to see how this plant grows and what it yields despite the issue, it should be interesting to see what kind of buds it can end up making. I will perform some LST soon as the plant is growing taller even after topping. I with the twisted leaves and wonky growth, it's actually letting plenty of light penetrate to the lower/center portions of the plant which may have it's own positive outcomes (what can I say, I'm an optimist!) Day 24: even though the twisted leaf growth is keeping the foliage from getting very dense, I am happy that this plant is still a good size and is definitely not stunted! If anything it is acting like a defoliated plant, letting plenty of light penetrate to the lower growth tips and center of the plant. Day 25: earliest signs of flowering. Day 26: 5x per day watering, 15 second duration.

As of day 21, the Blackberry plant is doing well! It is growing vigorously and will need to be controlled as it increases in size. The FIM has already helped a little, but I have started some LST with the Atlas plant trainer to start making the canopy wide and flat. A few of the newest leaves have the very start of yellowing in their tips, so I think this plant is maxing out at 1.1-1.2 EC. I am going to keep it around 1ec for the rest of vegitative growth, as EC can drift upwards in the reservoir very slightly while the airstone is running. Runoff, PH, and other parameters are right where I want them! I have a new gallon of Calimagic coming, so I am switching back to it this week in preparation for early flowering. Thanks for reading, happy growing, and stay safe! 👍🌱 Day 24: LST continues, the plant is growing quickly and is very lush. Outside of removing a few low growth tips that will never develop, I am going to try to leave as many leaves as possible. If this maxes out my humidity I will start taking a few lower leaves, and those that are too tightly squeezes in the center of the plant. Considering the plant's size as of day 24, I am hoping the flowering stretch isn't too strong or I will have to really work to contain this plant! Day 25: earliest signs of flowering. Day 26: runoff quantities were edging towards being too low as the plant has more foliage to transpire through, so watering adjusted to 5x per day, 15 second intervals. This is an increase from 60 seconds per day of watering to 75, and should accommodate the needs of the plant as it continues to grow.

These girls grew up really fast. My order of Recharge came in and I introduced that on day 10. I think I did a gram of Recharge mixed into 1L of PH'd water and then that was split between the two plants. On day 12 I decided that because the FCxFS was already starting to lean to one side I would go ahead and just LST it over. I'd never done LST before and ended up using way too much wire and probably did more damage than good. On day 13 I removed the hack job I did and instead used the wire for supporting the main stem. This is what I should have done from the start. Lesson learned.

Exciting week watching the Pineapple started to bulk up and was looking great. The Purple Kush not so much. Fed when pots felt light and was consistent: Pineapple 8ml in 3800ml Ph between 6 - 6.2 Purple 6ml in 2750ml Ph between 6 - 6.1 *Pineapple was growing so fast, could not keep up with it in terms of training and nutrients.

Start of week 7 and her time cas come to show us what she’s got! I’m excited for the next 7 weeks ahead. 4 days into flower I experienced a hellish bit of droop. She didn’t look well although healthy, she was under the weather literally! 24 hours later I realised she needed a flush of Ph’d water 1L to be precise after raising her pot from her tray a little higher and removing the excess water run off. I never achieved this amount of run off before normally very little so I guess she needed it as she perked up within a hour. Will closely monitor and repeat 5 words in my head - DO NOT FEED EVERY DAY Update - recovered and back to herself. What a way to start a week of flower. Lesson learnt. New week tomorrow

After trimming everything under the net she has focused on sprouting more upwards towards the light, stems are nice and thick and budsites are nice and even so will grow evenly when budding!

Week 2- All 4 Cream Cookies are looking good. Very similar looking seeedings at this point. I harvested the larger plants that were in last weeks diary and moved all seedlings under my 315w CMH fixture. The fixture is 24" above the plants. I'm going to keep all 4 indoors in my tent for another week, then move 2 to the outdoor garden. I'd like to see 2-3 nodes before transplanting. I also have 3 gallon self-watering pots ready for transplanting the 2 that are staying in the tent. I've never used self-watering pots before, but 'The Rev' (from Skunk magazine and True Living Organics) swears by them. They don't actually water themselves, I'll still have to add water manually. But there is a reservoir at the bottom for the roots to be able to feed off of. Supposedly, once the root network is established to the bottom I'll be able to add water to the reservoir only. I'm following the Fox Farm feeding schedule, but at 1/2 strength. So this week is Big Bloom only. I also added CalMag and some Recharge. I'm starting another diary in a few minutes for the other plants I have going on. Look for it soon! 😉

It became clear to me when I opened the tent two days ago. There they were, sticking out one of the main cola’s, it was almost impossible to miss them: 2 bright lime green banana’s. It was like the little dicks were smiling to me. I immediately removed them and search all the plants thoroughly multiple times for more, but didn’t found one. So, I guess I’m now a member of the ‘hermies club’. As for the cause: I suspect light stress. The light was close on the canopy, a little closer than (for example) dr. Cocoforcannabis recommends for this light. I found the two banana’s on Jannine and the bud that had them, is the one that’s almost in the middle of the tent, where the light is the brightest. The plant on the left, Kim, was also showing some foxtailing on her highest buds. Hence, I raised the lights 6-7 centimeters. Hopefully, I took away the cause of the hermies; off course, I’m keeping a sharp eye on the buds, but I haven’t found any more than those two. Also, EC of the drain tends to go up, hence every few days, I now just give them plain pH’ed water, to prevent high EC spikes. The trichomes are developing nicely. I bought a jeweler's loupe to study them, because with my USB microscope it’s almost impossible to get a clear picture (I don’t have a steady hand). The girls are 7 weeks into flower: there are no amber trichomes, but most trichomes are partly cloudy (30~50%) and a minority is still fully clear. I guess two more weeks before harvest, maybe 1,5 week. I switch to GHE Ripen later this week. I didn’t use such a product during my first grow, so I’m curious to see if it does something good. Another week in the books and significant growth as I increase dosage of nutrients, closer to 100% full dosage. I have read mixed messages about feeding every watering, to every other, to once a week...full strength, 1/2 strength, etc etc. I decided to ease into the nutes and work my way up, and feed only weekly. Less is more! Wait for her to get a little bigger and more mature and will feel better feeding at 100% full dosage. Did some more LST, pulling down higher stems and continue to build the table. Day 37: more growth; did some light defoliation to open up center; raised light to 18" (was at 15" in some spots) as it continues to grow. Day 41: more growth; transplanted into 5 gal fabric pot; installed ScROG and will continue veg stage until rest of the plant catches up to at least a few inches above the screen
