I added a second LED which works with more purple/red light additionally to my full spectrum white light to give the buds more the wave length they prefer. Seems like the new light pushes them to spread and elongate their branches, especially the main stem.

She's getting stronger and stronger, 3 main colas it seems and one of them split again on the top. Looking really good, hope for a XXL harvest :)

First grow wasn’t a complete disaster, but it could’ve been better. I relied completely on the living soil and nothing else. Was a mistake. She missed out on some key nutrients.

This week the plant gets swapped to bloom nutes but no until the end of the week so the next week will reflect that set of nutrients. Sunday Res testing at 320ppm, 5.8 PH. Growth is looking great, with more tops forming near top node as plant is forced down. All new growth is deep green. The lower leaves are still spotted but have not progress nearly as much as they have been recently. Adjusted PH to 6.0 to help with calcium uptake. Monday Res ppm 320, 6.1 PH. Plants new growth is healthy. LST'd top node so newer lower nodes can catch up for a day or two. Plant is starting to smell. Will let it the plant correct itself, then perform res change by the end of the week, to swap to bloom. Tuesday Res: 320ppm 6.1 PH. Lower nodes have filled in more, top node has mostly corrected itself. Calcium deficiency has slowed greatly but still present want to give another day or two of recovery from lst then will do the res change. Removed lowest leaves. Wednesday Res: 320ppm 6.1 PH Plant growth is excellent. Largest leaf is slowly showing more calcium deficiency. Flushed and swapped to bloom, orca, silica, cal-mag. 450 ppm 6.2. moved leaves around and rearranged so lower nodes get more light. Thursday Res: 420 6.3 adjusted to 6.2. Plant and root growth are looking great. Friday Res: 420ppm 6.18 ph, adjusted to 6.25. Plant and roots are blowing up with some stretching beginning. Smell is intensifying but still no pistils, yet. Saturday Res: 470ppm 6.3 ph. She's filling out really well. Daily photos show just how quick everything happens.

So I started a 24 hour soak then planted into Peet pellet.

Eccoci ragazzi! Non vedevo l ora di mandare in fioritura questo mio esperimento idroponico! Le piante sembrano stare bene, ho avuto problemi con un po di radici che stavano marcendo, ma sembra che la situazione si stia risolvendo grazie al acido ipocloroso, sta disinfettando e sbiancando per bene le radici, e quelle nuove che si formano hanno un bel colore bianco sintomo di benessere! Ho provveduto a defogliare un po entrambe le piante per fare spazio a tutti i getti laterali che si stanno diramando dal tronco principale, spero proprio che ci siano un bel po' di cime, questa è la prima settimana e ancora nn ho visto nessun fiore o pre fiore, speriamo che si facciano vedere al più presto, non sto nella pelle per vedere come si svilupperanno i fiori di queste genetiche che sembrano promettere davvero bene! Purtroppo io nn sono molto esperto ancora su come defogliare e potare nel modo giusto, sto facendo del mio meglio e sto imparando piano piano per capire quale sia il modo migliore di farlo senza stressare troppo la pianta, a mio parere probabilmente ho dato troppa vegetativa e queste due piante se tutto va come dovrebbe diventeranno enormi e sono preoccupato che durante queste due settimane di pre fioritura che lo stretching verso l alto diventi un problema serio e che vadano troppo vicino alla luce, ho paura di bruciare tutte le cime principali, spero proprio che questo nn avvenga xke purtroppo già ora sono alte 60 cm e posso arrivare al massimo ad un metro di altezza altrimenti la lampada sarà troppo vicina, xke purtroppo nel posto dove si trovano, dispongo solamente di un altezza totale del box di 180 cm e la lampada può arrivare al massimo ad un altezza di 160 cm prima che tocchi il filtro a carboni sopra di essa.. Spero con tutto me stesso di non commettere il solito errore.. Per ora apparte qualche squilibrio del ph, mi ha provocato una carenza di rame e di calcio /magnesio, ora ho provveduto a tarare il mio misuratore di ph /ec, xke ho notato che usandolo spesso è non pulendo adeguatamente il sensore con acqua distillata, è necessario ricalibrarlo circa ogni 2/3 settimane, altrimenti tende a sballare di 4 o anche 5 punti il ph della soluzione.. Ora il prossimo cambio Dell acqua sarà verso il 20 dicembre contando che l. Ho cambiata il 5 dicembre ogni 15 giorni la cambierò, grazie alla nuova pompa di sentina che ho comprato è un gioco da ragazzi svuotare i secchi in pochi minuti! Day 99. Plants are great !!! SUPER Frosty, smelly and bulking up !!! Great strain - no doubts !!! All feeds done, only water for her already last two waterings. Think 10-14 days left. Still take off few leaves here and there to expose hidden buds and all goes very smooth ! Happy Growing !!!

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Buenos días familia, de nuevo os traigo esta esta 5 semana de floración de nuestras green ak xL de zambezaseeds. Una está algo bloqueada y no quiere comer nutrientes la otra ya va mejor y si come. Ph controlado temperatura y humedad dentro de los parámetros establecidos. Una cepa bastante difícil de dominar muy sensible a los cambios, pero que seguro bien cultivada dará todo de sí, xL su nombre lo dice.

Flowering nicely now. Not drinking a ton of water but I attribute that to lower temps lately.
