Day 21 From Sprout - Rez Change Overall, very happy with the development over this past week. The ones that were already looking good at now looking great! The couple of “weirdos” (strange development of leaf/node placement) both have decent roots but are growing slowly. The couple that initially were throwing out more “jagged” leaves seemed to have settled in and are looking good now. Only 1 (back right corner) is iffy. Roots are slowwwwly dropping out of the basket but not yet in the water. Going to keep It around for now and see what happens. Continuing with Mantis @ the “always” rate of 5 ml/L. They’re loving it! Several of the “great ones” have 5-6 nodes developed, so I’ll top them back to the 3rd more and start training into a manifold since I’m going to give some of the others time to catch up. I’ll decide on training for them as we go.

Day 27 flowering: I am so glad i stuck with this lady now. seeing her stacking ready for her huge colas coming is a relief. She has not skipped a beat in the heat and has continued to build those beautiful stacks. I have hope she has restored my faith in Hulkberry as a strain now

Have had some challenges this week. In my lack of experience, I have struggle to discern whether my plant is deficient in nutrients, suffering lockout or approaching harvest. Symptoms were yellowing leaves... The cause of which can be, of course, many different things. I decided to flush last week, thinking that a nutrient lockout was most likely. Leaves less yellow this week so think it may have done the trick. I have spent some time researching and considering flushing as a technique to improve final bud quality. I have decided that there simply isn't enough evidence to deny my girl of nutrients at a critical phase of her growth. I am therefore continuing a reduced feeding schedule of - 1mls topmax - 2mls BioBloom - 1 scoop biosys ecothrive - 2.5mls Cannazym. And, unless indicated otherwise, will continue with this schedule up until harvest. Today I have tested PPM of the run off and measure it to be approx 1050ppm. I will measure again in 24 hours to monitor change after a feed. Purchased a 60x microscope and am able to see that 90% of trichomes are still clear. I am therefore anticipating at least another couple of weeks before harvest. Buds look fluffier than I'd like, but resin and trichome production haven't disappointed. I'm hoping that over the next few weeks the buds will continue to fatten. 19/11/2021 - Day 79. Have a few days off so have managed to catch some photos in day light. Have also uploaded a video. Feel that she isn't particularly happy... But on the other hand, she is showing the resistance and ability to adapt to less than ideal growing conditions; as promised by the strain genetics. Plenty of trichs, plenty of resin, plenty of buds. Just need them to fatten and fill out for maximum yield and quality. 23/11/21 - Day 83 - Still some deficiencies but she doesn't seem to be using much water so reluctant to feed at risk of overwatering. Noticing lots of new pistil formation. Looking frosty, but all trichomes still clear. Temperatures dropping to around 2°c overnight here. Managing to maintain temperatures around 10°c in the shed. Appreciate that this is too cold for growth but she seems to be coping with it well. I think that a gradual reduction in temperature has been tolerated better than fluctuant or sudden drops would be. Fingers crossed that her hardy nature keeps her strong. Fed today: 1mls BioBloom 2mls Topmax Half scoop Biosys Ecothrive Filtered water - pH 6.5, TDS 320 Run off 953 TDS 29/11/21 - Day 90 - no sign of any amber yet. Still mostly clear with a splattering of cloudy. Really worrying about the night time temps now and holding out hope that it doesn't die off before the trichomes mature.

Another week done. Hard to see progress day to day but just looking back at photos it's easy to see her moving along. It's my weekly ritual, photo, measure, smoke then update diary! So... She is still getting 1.5L each time i feed or water every 2 to 3 days. Increased the bloom nutrients further and decreased the grow to minimal. Removed a few leaves blocking sites again. Also a couple poking into the fans. As for lst, i slighty tweaked the 4 middle stems. The rest would snap with any bending below the top 40mm. Temperature spiked to 34 degrees in the tent for a few hours today but luckiky was watered last night. I think that helped her through those tough times. If she was almost dry and then had those temps i think she would be a bit annoyed! I was helping my brother move house and was a sweaty mess! Bet she was too and definitely appreciated my lights out being 1pm til 5pm. If it happens again and im home i will treat her to some ice packs by the intake again. :D All seems good overall. Can't really complain about anything. Last week i mentioned how she didnt smell. She did smell if you rubbed her trichomes and smelt your fingers. But just putting your nose to her was only a plant smell. Now, she has just started to have a smell of weed. I have a water pump and another timer to water her while i am away. All tested and after a bit of playing around i can feed 1.5L in 1 min :D On to another week that i am as excited for as the last. Thanks for checking it out P.S Off to visit our remaining 2 outdoors tomorrow. Will get photos and upload next week. Fingers crossed all is good lol. (I say our, the outdoors grows were/are 50/50 with me and a close friend).

End of the third week of the stretch and they certain out did stretch indeed😳. Had to crop over the tallest female - she just stretched wayyy too much and that’s gonna go against her in the rankings when we draw out our seed on each plant. The first male has dropped fully and the others are another 1-2 days out from harvest. We’ll collect all that pollen and store it for future use if it’s needed. The plants are all showing both similarities and differences - there’s an even distribution of sativa and indica leaning phenos which suggests that there is def. Some variability in terms of traits for this F1 generation. Exactly what we were looking for as we pare this down to the second filial generation. On the overall growth - absolutely no issues at all with nutritional deficiencies which is a welcome change of pace. The last while we’ve been growing some strains that have shown very odd reactions to nute changes and I suspect this is a result of certain strains simply being bred out too far. Hard to say but the radar is definitely up with the well known breeders right now. We have some real winner pheno clones that we’ve rooted and will be flowering out once we get this tent cleaned up and free of pollen. All told, the run is progressing much better than anticipated and with the rate of turnover through transition, I’m happy to say that there isn’t any one plant I won’t consider test running on the next cycle. We did have some og auto genetics in the tent for pollination as well but that plant is looking like a bit of a mutant. Not sure if we’ll even bother with testing it at this point but you never know. Expect a harvest update on the males as we move in to the flowering side of the grow and then it’s just waiting around for seed👍. Alls well for now. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. Stay tuned - with a little luck, this cross is gonna be straight đŸ”„đŸ˜ŽđŸ‘Œ.

5/10 Got up super early for wife's appointment at 7 came home and transplanted 4 of the purple punches. Transplants went good. Soil was too dry and a couple fell right in the hole but I was messing around showing my dad. It just got dropped in the hole a little harder lol. The other that happened to is fine though. Definitely make sure your soil is moist enough before transplanting. My transplanting technique for 3 gallon is to put soil on bottom. Set cup in at appropriate distance then replace cup with plant with soil filled cup and fill around it. Leaves the perfect hole. Then you just snip the cups twice on each side, peel it down and fold the cup down and cradle the bottom and in the hole it goes! Holes have mykoscand a little like water. I water a little after transplant. I misted soil whole mixing it up. 5/11 Dad left the windows open last night "because the soil smell was bothering Lynda." I couldn't ficking believe it. They were all fine when I got back but still. Everything is transplanted into 3 gallon containers bit that 1 purple punch that is a little bit dwarfed. I looked at the bottom of the cup and drainage wasn't as good. Must've been the last cup and the jail didn't go all the way through in a couple places. I increased the drainage on that little dwarf and I'll transplant it when I get time. We are going to have some good weather coming up. I need to get my cage moved, my bags sanitized and get on a good watering routine. UPDATE: Went back over at four and everything's dry as fuck but the leaves are uo and every one of them looks happy so I'm holding off watering. I'll start with a quart probably tomorrow. Also cleaned out tge cage and secured the handles to move it. Only thing left is cleaning and sanitizing. These girls have a south facing window and they LOVE it. It was 80 today. I hope we have an early season. 5/12 Transplanted the last purple punch today. I could easily tell the problem was drainage. It was the last cup I had stacked when I drove the nail threw so it didn't pierce all the way the the other slips and tac holes apparently weren't enough. Used mykos and same soil mixture. Soil was extremely dry. I lifted a pot with dry soil and these were heavier. Commercial buddy said to start with a quart a pliant and see how it goes but I kind pussed out and only gave them 24fl 0z a plant. Half the quart. I asked if I should water more and he said to just wait and see how they like this water and up it to a quart next time maybe quart and a half. Im just leery of overwatering. When i watered SOME of them the water literally just sat there and took forever to absorb. Plants werent wilting though. Soon theyll be going outside during the day and in mdoors at night. UPDATE: Went back over at two and everything looks AMAZING. Healthiest looking plants I've grown. Leaves all pointed up. I'm taking my commercial dudes advice and hoping the water next watering. For now, they're doing amazing. 5/13 Everything is doing greatcso far. Gotta figure out when to start nutes. Considering adding silica but don't want to raise ph to much. I'll consult with others but my the soil blend I'm using is full of nutes. 5/14 Rushed morning and I wanted to water bit the plants looked great still. Sticking my hands deeper I can feel a little moisture deeper down or in the drain holes so I decided to give the blueberry cheese and the 10th planet a "touch of kindness" which was a small circle of water from a small watering can around the outside edge of whete the rootball should lid be. I'm working on getting a watering g schedule down. UPDATE: Went back over at five and everything was looking good with leaves praying. Maybe my half measure helped. Doubtful but still. Tomorrow I plan to water. Since the soil has tons of nites ill probably hold off a little while longer before starting the nutrient schedule. I want to make sure I've got the watering down first. One thing at a time. 5/15 The 10th planet and Blueberry Cheesecgot their first REAL watering since transplant. Still being cautious I watered 28fl Oz a plant. I phed the water with an indicator solution and ph down. I gave the purple punches a "cup of kindness" which was a circle of water around the transplant hole. Can't waif to get a watering schedule down. I wanted to start nutes but my soil is full of them and i believe it's too early. I didn't see ANY run off from this watering. I think that's good as I'm not looking to wash away the nutes in the expensive soil I use. I need to start HST as well but I'm doing things proper and "one at a time". That way if I run into a problem I'll know what I did and how to rectify it. At least I hope. UPDATE: Went back over at 3 leary that I may have "overwatered" but the plants ALL looked AMAZING and had shot up like an inch! Looking into hst and will probable fim a few. Top a few and leave one to grow naturally. Can't wait to see how these girls do outside. 5/16 Wow. Just wow. Plants are doing phenomenal! Since the watering went really well I watered the purple punch bit I only used about 16fl Oz as the plants were a little smaller than the others. I'll up it to a quart next time like I did with the others. I want to USE the nutes in my soil so im not washing them all away by watering to run off. I topped 2 10th planet's and FIMed one of them. I want to see how the respond then I'll begin training the others. Off to a Great Start! 5/17 Glad I held off watering. It's raining today. Just showers. We haven't gotten any of that extreme wind we usually do. I have the plants supported but I still worry. Definitely more than I should. Plants are still doing good and acclikatimg to their new homes.

Finally was able to get my humidity down! I had to leave the door open to the room since it wasn’t exhausting outside. Cracking the window wasn’t enough. Also added a small dehumidifier inside the tent. Plants seem to be doing well with the nutes right in the AC Infinity watering bases. I manually fed Big Bloom since it’s full of sediment and I was worried it wouldn’t work with the wicks. They’re pretty handy so far, but I’m worried I’ll have to clean them out before the grow finishes. Had to move my oscillating fan to where my camera was, so my timelapse is going to be screwed up. Oops. One plant is super close to my light, hoping she will stop stretching soon
Excited to see those frosty sugar leaves coming in!

Day91: 72h of darkness and they all be chopped. Harvested and jarred the experiment grow (the plant was rescued then topped) 21g total. Not bad all things considered. I think I can get 100g with the whole grow Chop day: 31/8 day 96. Plants are drying in the tent at 25ÂșC and 61%RH

End of week 3 in bloom , I’ve got most of the lollipoping done , canopy has filled in really well , lots of bud sites , I will remove some of the shade leaf out of the canopy in another week , stretch is done so just want to give the buds as much light as possible. I had a discussion with my grow shop rep and we discussed water times and schedules with the need for the rock wool to dry out so I dialed my feed schedule back from 6 feedings in 24 hrs to 3 , it’s been a week and the room looks great , final weight and time will tell me if feeding them less often is better.

Day 36: Girls looking pretty happy. Still some discoloration going on. Doesn't look to be spreading though. Day 37: Ok, the girls obviously were not happy this morning. I watered with quite a good amount of runoff and measure the PPM at 3200!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm surprised they are still alive! Had to make a quick run to get some water for a flush as I only have 5 gallons worth. Ran 2 gallons through each of them at a ph of 6.4 around 9:30 this morning. It's now 5pm and they have pulled through great. These OG Kush are extremely resilient. Day 38: The girls look way better today after flushing yesterday. Two of the pots were almost completely dry already. Went ahead and fed at 500ppm with runoff. Day 39: I think it's dialed in now. They are looking amazing and still stretching pretty good. Went ahead and pulled off a handful of leaves between the 5 of em. Day 40: Did a little more defoliation and opened them up a bit. I am super worried about getting any type of mold or any issues in particular for this first round. One of the girls needs a touch more but ran out of time. Girls are looking super healthy! đŸ’Ș Day 41: They are looking super awesome. Got the runoff dialed in. 750 going in and roughly 800 coming out. May up it in a week or so. Day 42: Nothing new to update. Girls still looking amazing. I think the stretch may be slowing just a tad.

1/22/2024 - Day 22 veg: today is the 1st day of week 4, and every is going well. Lightly watered just to keep the top soil moist, but my moisture level further down is still good. She is showing some very minor tip burn, but nothing I'm concerned about. 1/27/2024 - Day 27: was out of town the last few days, and she is definitely starting to flower already. Seeing some very minor tip burn, but other than that she appears healthy. Not as big as I would have like to see her get before flowering, but it looks like the issue with the foiler spray stunted her a bit.
