Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. 72 grams of dried and semi-cured creamy buds. smooth smoke already despite the need to drop humidity below 59% fully. not much larf surprisingly but will be fun to see how much hash each strain gets considering others in the tent had way more. Harvest: somewhat early, but solid nugs and yield - easy trimming and quick to dry compared to other leafy varieties terps: creamy dough mostly with hint of sweet cinnamon sugar vanilla - just like the pack says, but still not impressed really Drama about these seeds: got store credit on the pack of 3 seeds just because of website change to outdoor only after purchase date. excited to grow other HSC strains next year.

Day 1 of flo, description in OG Kush Diary, I'm really curious about this bush. I think I will taste great from what people told me it'd been really good for making some wax also, I like how I managed that canacopy I know I can do better but it's my first time trying this actually... I'm kinda beating myself up because I wanted a bit longer branching but next time I think I will try doing this with all 4 of my plants just because I like how it looks Day 3: sorry to see that beautiful bushy structure having to come off, I enjoyed looking at it but time to give those bigger buds some space and give the plant some energy to the top so I'm removing all unnecessary small little branching to increase the airflow etc.. I enjoy working on my plants. Day 4: flo so I managed to get rid of most of the bush and alot more of the plant has opened up, I removed mostly smaller branches and let the bigger ones stay just to see how I can further improve this In future and what to look for. I could watch all the videos I want but without a 1st hand experience it's always just a theory , there's always room for improvement every grow in my opinion. 8 Feburary Update: I flushed all 3 with some water and fed 10ml of each a and b + additives they responded very well soon on day 7 I'm planning to start giving them more bloom nutrients after flushing the medium just a little once more so I can really push it and make sure my ppm is high enough without too much salt buildup, for that I will be using cal mag water followed up by final dose of grow a + B with some big bud I'm trying to avoid that saltbuildup at all costs here as this is my first grow in 7 Years here in Germany 🇩🇪😁, btw the water quality here is so much better than in Ireland... I gotta be careful with pests alot living on the bottom floor, thing is a nightmare...

Daaaayum hot week last week, worried about 2 plants showing some wierd main buds, but it’s hopefully the heat. Smell is pretty nice and got some juicy fruits growing on them trees! ❤️

Missed taking photos last week and most of this week due to busy work schedule. They grew without issues all two weeks. Ended up feeding with an aerated nutritive and enzyme tea. Roughly 1 gal each plant, once a week. Also moved the pots to the bigger flowering tent as the space was getting tight. Small tent will accommodate the new plants which can be found in my other journal! Enjoy the video of pre and post defoliation of the Afghan Kush!

The ladies are still doing great and stacking very nicely! The trichomes on both pheno’s are insane, super dense buds too. The leaves do look very very dark green with slight tip burns, so I dosed down the nutrients slightly from 1100+ to 950 ppm. The grow light makes the leaves look more light green than they actually are (check the night shots). Both plant smell super super sweet, not really blueberry (yet) though.

Flowering day 76 since time switch to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) Finally the time has come . The lady was harvested and hung upside down in the dry tent 😍. Before that, she stood in the drying tent in complete darkness for 2 days and the large leaves were removed. The small leaves stay attached during the drying process so that they protect the buds and allow them to dry more slowly and evenly :-) . In the dry tent, the temperature is 18-19.5 degrees and the humidity is 54-58% 👍. In this environment they are now allowed to hang for 10-14 days before they are fine-tuned and trimmed clean by hand. then after trimming they come to ferment for 6-12 weeks in dark jars with bobeda packs 62% to keep the perfect humidity. After a few weeks, the Boveda packs 58% are used so that they can slowly dry out :-) . Of course there is one last update after trimming. Until then, I wish you a lot of fun with the update. I took David Robinson's tip a little late " dont grow small flowers" So I took anything that was taking away from the main coals. Of that works out in my favour I will have to find out !! There is a large story behind there fine ladies . But for now let's just say f*ck cancer.
