This is going to be a scattered Summer, as I have had enough with plants being stolen from my property 2 years running. So I am sharing Pheno's this summer with Friends and Family, throughout this local area... My seed-gathering hit a spectacular spell this winter, and there are simply not enough years left to grow all of the Treasures I have acquired. And there are some juicy specimens. For the purposes of maximizing a single diary, I am going to check in with and keep a loose running diary on these 8 selected Phenotypes. They are all going to be following a set routine, unlike any previous grows. Pre-loading the soil in the outdoors location will be the Norm, it’s something I have never done. Using specific Soil Amendments and Mulch applications will be new ground for me, as these are all proven and successful steps to take, in producing Nutrient rich Soil and a fully developed plant at harvest. People: I love talking with people here on G.D., such as those right here and many more; DeFharo, LegacyMarketFarm, Roberts, DissNoof, HighRoller909, Ferenc etc. (I know I should have your name right here too lol ) Thanks everybody for the words & assistance in the past and I'm sure you will all hear me Squealing when/if the shit hits the fan. I feel this is already on its way to be a wonderful experience this summer. Mostly this will be grown in the boonies, virgin ground on the edge of a certain Farmers Field, with the Farmers consent. And the path he has cleared for us... Just put the 30+ seeds in water a couple days ago, all the seeds in Dirt within 48 hours of each other. We'll see which ones make it and which ones get replaced... awaiting sprouts to Pop through, I wanted to get this set-up and have it waiting. Sending out Best Wishes to all the Brothers n Sisters getting ready for a Big Summer. - Mar 25th a.m., 21 of 40 have sprouted... by Noon there were 24/40 and the obvious ones with Open leaves... had their first Foliar mist at lights out. Kelp Meal is next to be added to the Foliar. Will wait for a bit more development & participants Mar 26th, Lots of activity overnite as Now, 35 of 40 seeds have broken through Mar 27th - Foliar Mist @ lites-out (a.m.) Foliar pH = 5.9 - transplanting healthy plants into 1 gal pots starting tonight as they are ready - Soil in the 1 gallon Pots will be the existing mix with the agitated addition of Azomite, Kelp Meal, “2 oz of old dried-up weed” and some diluted RapidStart - a week ago today, 33 seeds were put in water. Another 7 were added the next day… its a nice way to wrap up germination-week up. Still a few seeds in that crazy survival mode… alls good though - finishing Germination week tonight by moving this gang into 1 gal pots. - pre-soaked next soil ahead of Transplanting; 1 gal h2o pH 6.3 ~ 36 - 40gal soil - DynoMyco introduced to Bulk Soil and mixed well. Each seedling will have it sprinkled on its roots and into it’s destination pot (1st time using it)

Day 22 (2020-05-31): Did some additional LST and defoliation. For LST I used wire hooks pushed into the soil to encourage sideways growth of the new branches. The G14 looks a lot bushier but it did not have as many large leaves that needs to be removed. Also, due to it's mutant nature, it started with two main branches. Maybe I should have pinched one back, but it seems very healthy so far. Roots are poking out the bottom of both pots. Not sure if this is bad or not. It did not happen in my previous grow but was using 3 gal instead of 2 gal fabric pots. Day 23 (2020-06-01): Investigated the mesh cup filter I am using with the Blumats. Turns out I had it backwards and it had some slimy feeling film inside. Not sure if that is contributing to the PH rise when water sits in the tubing, but I cleaned it out and swapped it the right way. Made some small LST adjustments. Day 24 (2020-06-02): Removed a couple of blocking leaves, made some slight LST tweaks to even things out. One of the Blumats seemed like it was not dripping but bleeding the line caused it to kick in. Must have still had some residual air in the system from yesterday's filter adjustment. PH is still a bit higher coming out of the line, but is much improved. Will continue to monitor. If it stays high may try removing the filter altogether to eliminate that possibility. Day 25 (2020-06-03): Changed the reservoir out. PH was high, but still in range but the water was cloudy and had a pretty rotten smell. Going to check PH and smell daily and see if I can get a handle on what is happening. Maybe I just need to have a regular changing schedule. Day 26 (2020-06-04): PH of reservoir at 5.6. Day 27 (2020-06-05): PH of reservoir at 5.7. DId some LST adjustments and removed a few larger leaves. Noticed some light discoloration spots on a couple of the older leaves. Moved lights a bit closer (21") Day 28 (2020-06-06): Noticed some yellowing on the tips of some of the new growth. I checked the lights and they had been way closer than I thought. Moved to correct distance to see if it may have been early signs of light burn. PH of reservoir is at 6.2. Most likely will change out tomorrow. I also noticed today a bit of white fuzz mold growing on the outside of the pots and even a little bit on the surface of the coco. I am going to turn off the humidifier for a few days and get some 3% H2O2 to wipe down the outside of the pots.

So I had a few issue. I over watered early on, took them out the seed tray early, started feeding them a week or two late, no humidifier yet but they recovered well.

Week 8 10-14 Day 50 She looks, smells and grows well! Little studdered on drinking. What else but pics and videos! 10-16 Just water and pictures. Letting her do her thang! Around 500-700ml water a day. 10-19 Some burn, so I ran some runoff, yep burn! 1200 ppm now 400. 😱 Well 2 weeks from here 🤣 or so. 10-20 Nothing changed. .

Not surprised one bean didn't pop, they're 14 months old.. 4/5 aint bad! Using the trusted paper towel method. I tried floating water cup last time and only had 70% success. I have my tent hooked up with several ESP8266 and ESP32 devices to automate the lights, fans, heaters and even nutrient dosing!

Jack Herer Auto is doing well. She is progressing into flowering nicely she is under a 100 watt SF-1000 in Athena blended line nutrition. I am curious to see how she does with the grow being in a cooler spot. The temperatures, humidity, height, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Coop Poop, Molasses, Feather Meal, and Soluble Kelp are ml/gallon of soil top dressed. Everything else listed in nutrients is ml/gallon of water fed to plants without checking the solution Ph. Day 1 we had a high temperature of 87°F. We had over cast skies, some gusty wind, and rain. Luckily the thunderstorms missed us. The rain did water for me. Day 2 we had a high temperature of 81°F. We had a break from the rain and I watered about 4-5 gallons per pot. Girls are still drinking heavy. Day 3 we had a high temperature of 68°F. We had overcast skies and rain most of the day. I left the house in the morning and was out til the night. I came home and a thunderstorm had wrecked most of the garden. Day 4 we had a high temperature of 72°F. The sun came out and it was super humid. I watered a few gallons as the pots and ground were still soaked. Day 5 we had a high temperature of 78°F. Skies were mostly sunny and other than the powdery mildew thriving in the humid rainy weather these girls are looking and smelling very good. Day 6 we had a high temperature of 70°F. Skies were mostly cloudy to partly cloudy. It's been very humid. I watered about 4-5 gallons. Day 7 we had a high temperature of 70°. The chance of rain was 50%. We caught the rain again. It was off and on most of the day. It was misty when it wasn't raining. I fed the number 2 plant 80ml molasses poured on top of soil and let the rain wash it in. Despite the major challenges with weather, this week was a success. These girls are really loud. They have a wonderful watermelon smell. One is straight watermelon funk. The other has a noticeable melon smell but the glue peppery, spicy, gassy smell is dominant. The powdery mildew has been the biggest challenge. This weather is just dominating my efforts to keep it sprayed off. The Ozarks make for a challenging outdoor environment.

Day 50. Girls had 30 hours of darkness and now its first day of flower !!! Nothing to add, they look ok, found couple pests under leaves, applied neem oil. Never had any bugs inside, but its always first time ... Would be nice to know, how quick or how long does it takes for big problem to happen ... But that kind of curiosity i won't satisfy ;)))) On old leaves found like 5 bugs on first plant, thought its enough to start worry ... Day 51. Girls are flying, photos shows it all.... Even after watering they still look more than ok, always pray... Hope neem oil helped to sort bugs, will check it in 3 days. Day 52. Bugs are still here, more soap and neem oil , all done in bath, each girls took at least 2 liters of spray, most leaves washed gently with spray and fingers, lowest old or damaged leaves removed. Sticky traps installed. Should sort this out. Worst case i still can spray them twice before first flowers starts to form... better to do all shit in veg, but i am old and blind, sometimes i see just huge things ... Day 56. Sticky traps out, Army of LadyBugs in !!! ;))) Some leaves looks bad, now i see what a big pain in @$$ are pest, how fortunate was i to avoid it for so long ... Girls drink quick, so i should be still ok, in couple days 200 larvae of LadyBugs should arrive as well ... Fingers crossed ! Happy Growing !!!
