Often, marijuana growers who have their plants in indoor grow tents or rooms with artificial lighting, take into account parameters such as temperature and relative humidity to maximize plants growth and bloom, thus obtaining abundant harvest with top quality flowers. As we will see later, these factors affect different processes of the plant, such as transpiration or nutrient uptake. However, we usually forget about another important factor that is related to the aforementioned ones: vapor pressure deficit or VPD. Broadly speaking, VPD is the difference between the amount of water vapor that the atmosphere is able to retain (which depends on temperature) and the amount of water vapor contained in it (relative humidity). It is usually measured in kilopascals (kPa). Providing our plants with a correct relationship between temperature and relative moisture will keep us on the right VPD parameters, increasing the plant’s activity and thus improving its growth and showing its full potential during the flowering phase. The ideal would be to adjust both parameters (temperature and humidity) to get the best possible VPD value, so that the development of plants will be amazing.In the chart above you can see the right temperature and moisture values to maximize the development of cannabis plants. The green zone shows you optimal values of VPD, in which it would be ideal to maintain the environment. The orange zone shows correct values, in which plants should not have problems to develop normally. However, red areas show values in which your plants will be very far from hit their full potential, since the relation between temperature and moisture is not optimal. With relatively high values of VPD (between 5 and 12) plants tend to open their stomata and release a considerable amount of water vapor into the environment (increasing their transpiration). This increase in transpiration results in an increase in the plant’s photosynthetic activity, which will need more nutrients and will improve its overall growth, both during growth and bloom. The best range is between 7.5 and 10.5, which we have marked in green. However, we must be careful that VPD is not too high (dark red zone) since the plant would close its stomata to avoid releasing too much water vapor to the environment, which would result in fast dehydration due to excessive transpiration. On the other hand, if VPD is too low (light red zone), the plant will also close its stomata for not releasing more water into the atmosphere, which in this case would be already saturated (it would have reached the maximum water retention capacity in a specific temperature). In this way, reducing transpiration will also reduce photosynthesis, which has a direct impact on the plant’s development and yield. That way, VPD is essential when it comes to offer the best conditions for the development of plants, also to understand its water requirements according to the nutrients used and thus adjust them correctly to meet the grower’s expectations. Flowering appears to have begun. Definitely getting pungent! She's started getting a little pale, so I'm working TPS One in to the watering, added a fresh layer of soil-ammendment, and trimmed a few leaves. Hopefully i nip any nutrient issues in the bud before next week!

Week 8 Veg – Go Big or Go Home! 🌱💪 Hey, Grow Fam! 🌿 What an intense week it’s been in the grow room! This was one of those “go big or go home” moments, and I decided to take it to the extreme. I’m holding off on flipping to flower for just one more week because the plants are filling up the space beautifully—I can’t help but push things to their limits and see just how much these ladies can give! 😎✨ This week was all about maximizing growth and creating the best canopy I can. I did a light defoliation, just here and there to open things up a bit, and then came the bending—LOTS of bending. 🌱 I’m working hard to create an even canopy, though with all these different genetics, we’ll see how close I get! 🤞 Regardless, I’m giving it my all, and I’m super pumped to see how everything will respond in the next stage. The final touch this week? I ended it with a bold 36 hours of darkness to prepare for the big flip next week—flower mode, here we come! 🌸 What Went Down This Week: 1. Canopy Work – Bending and training all over the place to try and keep things even. It’s a real challenge with different genetics, but the payoff is going to be worth it! 2. Defoliation – Just a little bit of leaf removal here and there to help with airflow and light penetration, prepping them for that final veg stretch. 3. 36 Hours of Darkness – Closed out the week with a full day and a half of darkness. The 36 hours of darkness is a technique I like to use to help signal to the plants that it’s time to transition from veg to flower. 🌒 By giving them an extended dark period, I’m mimicking the natural shift from summer to fall, when daylight hours start to shorten. This kick-starts the plants’ flowering hormones (phytochrome), helping them shift into flower mode more smoothly and quickly. In my experience, this method helps speed up the flip, reduces early flowering stress, and often leads to a more uniform bloom across the canopy. It’s like giving the plants a little nudge to let them know, “Hey, it’s time to bloom!” 🌸 This technique is especially useful for growers like me who want to maximize the efficiency and performance of their plants. 😊 4. Lst on two plants. Leaving one to grow without any training method. She's doing good. D 31-received the mars hydro 2000w. Will be replacing the 1000w D 33-will let these girls grow without any more training.

Week Seven Flipping to flower was a good idea because of the 6 plants in this little space. They all got into stretch and I had to adjust the light a few times. The gorilla cookies (front right) is the smallest and slowest, the gg4 sherbet is also pretty small (back mid), the orange sherbet. (Frond mid) almost catched up to the other older plants. The sfv purps (front left) stretched a bit, some sidebranches shot up, which is very nice. The gelato (back left) stretched more than the sfv and shows nice flowers starting to grow. The bagseed (back right) shot up the most with 3 big colas. All plants got a topdessing and mulch from hemp clippings. I water every to every other day with 0,5 to 1 liter. The tent got filled up pretty fast and I’m fighting the urge to defoliate. Plan to wait till day 21 of flower. Thanks for reading.

I'm trying to make these girls some beasts so I'm vegging the shit out these sexy little mamas.lol.i want them 2 feet before I veg but I just did some good training on them and brought my height actually down so when I can get all the bottom and inner branches to get tall enough to make an even canopy then at that point I will switch to flowering. I have been staying on the Greek regiment from nectar of the gods and my girls are responding nicely.nice lush green and plenty of new growth everywhere. I added the kraken from nectar now that I have the structure I want.this stuff really strengthens your plant.it also help with pests by making your plant harder to eat.it will also help those branches with heavy buds.check it out for real.if you like my diary throw me some likes.peace out fellow growers

The final week! These Auto's are BEASTS!! No more nutrients just leaching with tap water Ph between 6 - 6.1 the taps ppm is 200 so I will eventually get an R/O system. Really packing on some weight!! Had to tie branches to other branches to hold them up. Did a final defoliation a little late in the week normally I would do it at the start of the last week.

week 3 is a tough rn not gonna lie shes yellowing extremely fast and shes begging me for potassium. i was just giving her 2 tsps to 3 gallons of water. as of today (jan 8 2022) i gave her a feed of 1 and 1/4 bloom and 1/4 veg nutes to try to fight the yellowing. i honestly dont know if that was the right thing to do most threads i read just said to add some nitrogen but idk if dyna gros bloom and grow are meant to be mixed. especially this late in flower. either way its too late i already gave it to her i guess now all i can do is wait and see what happens. you can see how fast the yellowing is happening too.

This is the 2nd MSNL strain I have tried and the genetics are great. She got the longest time in the tent as she is a standard photoperiod and the rest of the grow where fast flowering photoperiods. I trimmed her after 16 days of drying and got 35g of decent buds and 9g of ok buds. Power used for whole grow in 114 days. Lights=201.7Kw (201.7×0.25)(=£50.42) Rad=212.23kw (212.23×0.25)(=£53.05) 201.7÷114=1.769kw per day light average. Average 100w for veg Average 150w for flower. Light average for grow 125w. Es geht in die Blüte 😃 Ich kenne den Strain noch nicht und rechne trotz topping mit einer starken Streckung in den erst ca. 4 Wochen. Ich liebe es ja jedes Mal zu sehen wie schnell sich die Pflanzen entwickeln und nach Umstellung des Lichts verändern. Ab jetzt werde ich bei jedem gießen den Mineralischen Dünger von Plagron verwenden. Trauermücken nerven hart sollten aber dank fressfeinden bald Geschichte sein. Ich bin gespannt 😉

Medicine is expensive and, luckily, I am now able to grow my own where I live. I started growing in this 2x4 Gorilla Lite tent and "piece-meal'ed" my setup together. I started with one Mars Hydro TS1000 and was fortunate enough to get a second one before I started flowering. I used a 6-inch AC Infinity fan for exhaust and a 4 inch AC Infinity intake fan. Using a Gorilla carbon filter and it works great.. I added an Exhale CO2 bag at this time not really realizing that it wouldn't do much good for a few weeks still... It's impossible to find oscillating clip on fans where I live so I had to make do with some non-oscillating fans. Grew in 100% Purple Cow Indicanja soil and did not give ANY nutrients during the vegetative stage (they did just fine). I probably under-watered versus over-watered for quite some time as folks at the friendly local grow store kept telling me that I'd inevitably overwater at some point as a first time grower so I waited a long time in between watering fairly often...
