Hopefully close to lights out just a light watering when dry this week while they finish up. The trichome development has been slower than I thought but I am checking daily and they still look to me like they are in the stage of turning cloudy with less and less clear ones showing along with a small amount of amber ones starting to appear more and more. Some of the girls are developing a little slower than the others which is to be expected and they are fading in colour so it looks like they are consuming the last remaining nutrients from their reserves at different stages. Lights out possibly tomorrow or the the day after all going well. Hopefully the next update is the harvest. 🙌 Peace.

I think about the fact that it is no longer necessary to cut leaves. I cut it a lot, but I notice that many people cut a bunch of leaves at one time, although somewhere I read no more than 10% at a time. When I gave fertilizers, I always diluted them with water even more to reduce ppm Day 68: I added cal-mag to the diet because the leaves are really turning yellow from the bottom. 0.5 ml Day 70: I added 1 ml cal-mag

Hi all👨‍🌾👋 Welcome to my another week update Hope everyone keeping well 🧑‍🌾 Week 6 Mar 8 - Mar 14 It was another easy and exciting week. Everything going absolutely great. Both girls stretched nicely despite selective defoliation on Mar 9. They bounced back almost immediately. Started adjusting mixtures towards removing fish mix completely and replacing with Bio grow. In coming week will adding bio bloom and top max to mixture. There was 2 waterings of 3ltr on Mar 9 + last foliar feeding and second on Mar 13 and it was first large feeding 6 ltr beetwen both. Surprisingly only a few drops of runoff. Watering in stages of approx. 500ml every 20-30min. Decided to not install a scrog this time as want to have opportunity to apply more old school methods of training and to be able to remove/rotate girls easily. Let's see if this will pay me off. 5/18 It's not raining now but it's supposed to later. The plants are protected though. I have brought them out to continue hardening. It's only 57 degrees but they'll be alright. I used what little water was left in the bottom of the gallon to lightly water what looked like it needed it most. I mixed up another gallon and I'll check them again before they go in for the night. These plants are getting hardened off properly. I've had some pretty serious problems when I try to transition to quickly. I don't see ANY problems (knock on wood) thus far. Pink kush reminds me of purple punch. It grows similarly and starts off slow. I hope it turns the corner like the purple punch did and make up for it with the quality of flower. I topped/fimmed a special kush #1. I'll update when I bring them in for the night. This week I'll clean/sanitize the cage and the grow bags. EDIT: PLANTS SPENT A LITTLE OVER 3 HOURS IN THE LEAN-TO WITH INDIRECT SUNLIGHT AND EXPOSIRE TO OUTDSIDE AIR, TEMPS AND RH. I DIDNT WATER WHEN I BROUGHT THEM BACK IN. I USED APPROX 2/3 OF A GALLON ON EACH PLANT. 5/21 I've got a super busy day. I left early and it was to cold to put the girls out. It's 55° at 9:30a.m. It may rain off and on but I think the girls would do okay in the lean-to. I need to get them ready and hardened for their forever homes. Time seems like it's flying. We are getting close to being able to put them out without risk of reveg. Plus I'm not subjecting my girls to un needed stress for no reason. I'll update what I do. 5/22 Plants were dry this morning. I used what was left in the gallon jug to water all the plants. I don't wantcto overwater and I'd like to keep the nutes in the soil where the plant can absorb them. Not just leak out the bottom. They are all growing at an incredible pace. It's currently 49°F at 9:45. It's overcast with a chance of rain. We are at what was suppised to be the high for the day. If we get above 55 I'll bring the girls out and continuing hardening. I guess it's not going to he an early season. Won't be long though and these girls will be in their final homes. I'm impressed with what I've seen so far. EDIT: ITS 4PM AND THE SUN JUST PEEKED OUT FOR A FEW MINUTES AND IS GONE AGAIN. PLANTS LOOK FANTASTIC. IM SO GLAD I KEPT THEM IN DURING THESE 40 LOW 50 DEGREE WET DAYS. IT'LL ONLY STRESS THEM IMO SINCE THEY LOOK SO GOOD. AS SOON AS THIS RAINSTORM AND COLD WEATHER PASSES WE SHOULD HAVE DECENT WEATHER. JUST A FEW MORE DAYS WHERE HIGHS ARE IN THE 40'S. I FEEL BAD FOR THOSE PEOPLE THAT SAW THOSE HIGH 70-80 DEGREE DAYS AND PUT THEIR PLANTS OUT. THEY ARENT DOING GOOD. I GOT A LOT DONE. AND I SOAKED MY BAGS FOR 40 MINS IN A MICTURE OF DAWN, H202 AND WATER. PRIOR I USED A WIRE BRUSH TO GET ALL DIRY AND STUFF OFF I COULD. THEN I SOAKED THEM AND AFTER I RINSED THEM. I COULD SEE THE H2O2 DOING ITS WORK. REALISTICALLY I SHOULD GET NEW BAGS. ITS JUST NOT IN THE FINANCES RIGHT NOW. OH WELL. THEYVE BEEN SANITIZED AND WASHED AND ILL GO OVER THE ONES THAT ARE STAINED AGAIN JUST TO MAKE SURE I DONT SPREAD SOMETHING. 5/23 What a miserable day. It's 44° and pouring out. I put a screenshot of tbe weather and you can see that after the next few shitty days we are getting sunny weather in the 70's. Light is long enough for them now. I need to dial back the timer morecto get them acclimated. I just have to clean up the cage and they are ready to go. Bags are sanitized. I'm going to spend some more time getting some algae off a couple. These plants are flourishing. I am happy I picked 1gal over 3gal before the transplant. It's turned out perfect thus far. Really looking forward to this. Oh and I watered everything a LITTLE bit as it was dry. Enough to get it through until they get a full watering before going outside. I also attempted a FIM on the other 10th planet. The FIM on the mk ultra worked and I've got at least three tops. 5/23 WATERED ALL PLANTS WITH APPROXIMATELY A HALF GALLON. Plants were all super light and dry. I keedcto water more volume at a time. This is easier than fixing overwatering. Things are getting tight in here. Plants are getting huge! The FIMs and Toping that ive done took. That big mk ultra has 4 or 5 tops on it! Plants look super healthy. Good weather is coming. They'll be in their forever homes shortly. It's working out perfect. Some of these plants look like they'll need a transplant soon. Still need to clean up the grow cage but that will only take a minute. Also need to fix a tear I made in a grow bag but again thats just normal small shit. If you look at the snap shot of weather I took you can see the weather is going to improve greatly. This is when I'll do the majority of work. I'll update anything else I do. EDIT: ITS 51° AND RAINING OFF AND ON. I MADE A "TEMPIRARY FIX" FOR THE GROW BAG THAT I HAD RIPPED. IT RIPPED FROM THE HANDLE DOWN AND A LITTLE DIAGONALLY. I THOUGHT ABOUT SOWING IT BUT OPTED FOR THIS EASIER METHOD. I POKED HOLES BIG ENOUGH TO SLID SMALL ZIPTIES THROUGH THE TORN PART OF THE BAG. I USED THEM TO "SUTURE THE BAG BACK TOGETHER. I THOUGHT IT TURNED OUT GREAT. I THEN USED GORILLA TAPE AND PUT A PIECE DIAGONAL OVER THE SMALL ANGLE. I DID THE SAME ON THE OPPOSOTE SIDE BEFORE RUNNING THE GORILLA TAPE FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE TEAR OVER THE BAG AND INTO THE INSIDE (COVERING THE VERTICLE STRIPS AND ZIPTIES). THE TAPE IS JUST SO I DONT LOSR SOIL AS THE ZIPTIES PRETTY MICH DID THE JOB. I ALSO USED A BUNCH OF H2O2, WHICH I POURED OVER THE ALGAE ON THE BAGS IT WAS PRESENT ON. IT FIZZED UP AND I WAS ABLE TO REMOVE ALL STAINS FROM SOME BAGS. I WORKED THEM ALL OVER AGAIN AND DOSLOSGED EPOTS AND SANITIZED ANYTHING THAT LOOKED LIKE IT NEEDED IT. ALL I HAVE LEFT IS TO CLEAN THE CAGE. AFTER WATERING THE PLANTS THIS MORNING THE JUNPED VISIBLY IN SIZE WITH LEAVES PRAYING TO THE HEAVENS. IM GLAD I HAVE TWO LARGE SOUTH FACING WINDOWS WHICH I HAVE OPENED THE BLINDS. I THIBK ITS ONE MORE DAY OF THIS AND A FEW MORE HARDENING THE GIRLS AND ILL BE ROCKING AND ROLLING. When should I flush??????????

I have a very small bit of powdery mildew on the girls. I have been using CuSo4-copper sulphate about every 3 days to keep it at bay. It seems to be working really well. They look great, are happy and are working hard on plumping up their flowers. I have 4-6 weeks until harvest would be my guess. Fingers crossed I can keep the effing PM from taking over. 😬

05/13 - added Big bud and B-52 on 05/10. PPM is over 1400 - plants show zero sign of over fertilizing.. I'm impressed. I've always found AN to be pretty hot - where I can run it slightly below recommendation, but Im tempted to increase with these gals. I won't, but I'm tempted.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Hello the greater community that is GROWDIARIES!!! This week has been well, uplifting should I say! Two weeks ago I was pretty dismal, I had one out if three auto flowers. I had high hope for this grow with RQS being g pretty reputable, but all was going wrong! Then! with a little help from my friends here on GrowDiaries, I was inspired to carry on lol! Now a fortnight later, I'm my opinion, things have turned a corner! I'm seeing flowering behaviour again from these three that were completely stuck in veg! So I'm happy :) Supercropped the big sativa. Just made sense. Only one hasn't been HST, the runt who is actually most progressed of the three. Followed by big sativa. Feeds are pretty unique for each plant so just ask, but the one shown relates to the one in flower. Summary: 1 auto 3 photo periods all under 12/12 for the past 2 weeks. Thanks for taking a nosey!

Day 56 alle 3 Pflanzen haben die letzte regnerische Woche sehr gut überstanden. Apple Fritter ist 72cm hoch und bildet schöne Buds. Runtz F1 ist 60cm hoch und hinkt ein wenig hinterher. GG#4 ist immer noch in der Wachstumsphase und scheint ein Monster zu werden. Der Stamm ist sehr dick im Vergleich zu den anderen zwei. Zusätzlich gieße ich die Babys seit 2 Tagen mit Canna Terra Flores. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit der Wachstumsphase und Übergang in die Blütephase. Ohne Lampe zu dieser Jahreszeit ein gutes Ergebnis wie ich finde.

My gas tax plant is looking absolutely incredible right now. It's got these massive buds that are super dense and have this awesome dark color to the leaves. I'm so excited to see how it turns out when it's finally ready to be harvested. I've been checking the height, the thickness of the stem, and the density of the buds to get an idea of how much longer I have to wait. I think I might start flushing it soon. The past few weeks have been so beautiful, watching the plants grow and change. It's amazing how something so small and fragile can turn into something so strong and vibrant. Now that they're getting ready to bloom, it feels a little bittersweet. I'm so excited to see the finished product, but I'll definitely miss having them around while they're growing.
