Day 36 (30/06/19) she’s in the wild doing really well. Taking off nicely, and can’t wait to see how she does and how she takes to the outdoor space. All organic nutrients thanks to royal queen seeds! Will be back with an update soon. Thanks for following. Stay tuned

Unfortunately, the development of the buds does not look good. The buds are all tiny and growing very slowly. As we are already in flowering week 7, I do not believe that Lady Runtz will be nice yielder 😂.

I've been unable to curb the yellowing of any of the four plants. It has now happened to the Chemdogging and is starting to happen to the last Sour Diesel. I added some compost tea last night with CalMag, hopefully it helps.
Planning to chop the Gelato soon

not much to say here, transplanted into bigger pots and so far still growing without any complications, picked some of the leaves. thats it. Hopefully i can switch the light cycle in the next 2-3 weeks, lets see what happens next.

The long-awaited cycle of one of my favorite strains, which I sometimes grow again, is coming to an end.
This interesting and unique terpene profile drives you crazy time after time; it's quite a powerful plant that can quickly calm and soothe you.
Incredibly beautiful in the final stages of flowering, it changes color to a truly beautiful hue, and the leaves become wildly colorful. Be prepared for your carbon filter to be unable to contain its scent; it's very strong and fragrant. Stone flowers await us, and we'll see.

Everything's going smoothly so far. Doing a defoliation tomorrow and getting rid of any lanky branches. This should be my best crop yet with photoperiods. It should be noted that there is a difference between defoliation and lollipopping. I didn't realize there was one until last month.

Hello everyone 🌱
I’m writing this while walking by the sea, reflecting on the next run.
I’m currently smoking some White Russian from my last grow, and I have to say… it really surprised me.
I’ve always had a simple philosophy: life is short, so I try to grow as many different strains as possible instead of repeating the same ones.
But this time, Serious Seeds really got me. White Russian, Bubblegum, AK-47… these are not just strains, they have a very strong identity.
In particular, I found a White Russian phenotype that I would definitely keep and grow again. I regret not cloning it.
That experience made me appreciate even more the work behind these genetics.
Each strain expresses something unique, both in structure and effects, and that’s something I’m starting to understand more deeply.

About this run
I honestly didn’t expect this opportunity.
I reached out to Serious Seeds without big expectations, and they gave me the chance to test one of their new strains:
👉 Fruity Durban (Serious Mimosa × Durban)
This is currently a test strain, so I’ll be growing it almost completely blind.
I deliberately avoided researching too much about it. I want to observe it for what it is, without external influence.

Constraints & approach
Due to where I live, I can only run one plant, which means I won’t be able to explore different phenotypes or evaluate stability.
So this will be a more focused test, centered on a single expression.
At the same time, this run will be more challenging than usual:
• I’ll likely be harvesting in mid-summer
• high temperatures could impact terpene preservation and plant stress

Living soil system
I grow in a living soil system (113L pot), which I like to think of as a bioreactor.
Before starting, I reactivated the soil by:
• adding fresh worm castings
• light top dress amendments
• reintroducing clover as cover crop
The goal is to rebuild microbial activity before transplanting.

Philosophy for this run
Unlike my previous grow, where yield was very high, this time I want to focus on:
👉 terpene expression and overall quality
For this reason, I’m considering a very light-touch approach:
• minimal training
• possibly a single topping (to avoid excessive main cola density)
• otherwise letting the plant express itself naturally
I don’t want to interfere too much. I want to observe.

Germination
I started by placing the seed directly in a glass of water.
I decided not to use H₂O₂ this time, in my experience it can help, but it’s not essential.
Now we wait.

I’m really curious to see how this strain will behave in this environment, especially in these conditions.
This will be a journey focused on observation, learning, and quality over quantity.

Very happy with how this lady has performed, amazing quality buds, very sticky and dense flower with a concrete smell that I love so much, which is that kind of fruity sweet flavor that this lady is able to produce, it's been a beautiful journey, I'm gonna enjoy a lot this flowers. Very recomended guys!

As you can see now I am batteling crazy hot temperatures. She is already crazy sticky and has this typical Guava smell. Strwaberry with Pear. I am proud of this plant which has been moved around all over the place and she still will give me a nice yield of yummy Nuggets.

Our girl is growing strong and healthy! 🌱 She's happily absorbing Plagron nutrients, and it's really showing in her progress. Everything is going according to plan, and we’re thrilled with the results.
On February 6th, we will switch the light cycle to 12/12 to start the flowering phase. That will mark exactly one month since we placed the seed in a paper towel for germination. 🌼 We can't wait to see her bloom! 🌿

This week the wedding cheesecake
has come along fine, she is as low as i can get her and has probably finished stretching, this one has probably had the biggest stretch out of the 4. All 4 strains in the tent are quite close in development still but this one is a little behind at the moment.

ugh just hate myself right now lol. I feel like it would have done AMAZING had I flipped sooner and SCROG way better. I was timid and had a lot of personal obligations preventing me from staying in the garden as much as I would have liked. Its a grower! and stretches so much in early flower. Stay on top of her but I think she may make some amazing bud based on what I did have drying recently. I wish I didnt mess up the timing but I just couldnt have the second wave be held up by these mistakes and felt it best to let it go

Turned the Autopots on, Papaya had a slight issue due being popped two days later she ain’t drinking as Much as the others, adjusted the pH in the system by getting the water out the trays, adjusting the Reservoir and opening the valve again. Pics from 18.9. Will keep ya updated.
21.09 they are bushin up nicely time to get them a fresh fade - did a pretty hard defoliation won’t be doing another until it’s before flower, will add a trellis net in about 2 weeks

From what I've learnt since, by defoliating and not ensuring sufficient reserves in the Substrate after taking their reserves from the bigger fan leaves at strip, this left 1 pheno more hungry than the others, but still all 4 suffered to some degree which was really disappointing. I was too busy enjoying the festive period with family so its a good enough excuse! ;)

Wir kommen dem Ende langsam näher. Sie bekommt jetzt keinen Dünger mehr, denke das sollte reichen. Jetzt wird sie erstmal gespült die nächsten 2 Wochen und dann kommt nach Ostern die Opferung 🤭😄
Die meisten Grower sind bestimmt schon lange fertig mit ihren Autos aber bei meiner Sticky Broccoli Auto lief der Zyklus aufgrund des Mainlining und Training 4-6 Wochen länger als normal. Also es ist fjedenfall möglich und freue mich, sie trotz der Probleme mit dem Magnesium, hat sies ja doch gut gepackt 😌
Update: habe die jetzt mal gespült, brauchte echt 4x Wasser, also 32L ca und habe noch bisschen Flawles Finish gegeben. Ich schaue mal nach dem Wochenende, weil viel mehr Masse kommt wohl nicht mehr, die sind jetzt schon sehr Sticky 😌
