What a journey it has been from seed! I made a lot of mistakes in the first few weeks of this growing journey. I feel like I had a mini-crash after finishing the first year of grad school, and although I am growing cannabis as part of my research project, I haven't been the greatest at paying attention to it. This is not an excuse. It has actually been a learning opportunity. I realized that my body needs proper schedules to function and grow, just like a plant. The problems with the plant have really been my own problems. Let's just say that a plant may be the reflection of the grower. First, the light cycles were wrong and inconsistent. I thought that I could manually control the light schedule for the plants and be alright. However, I was wrong. My sleep schedule has been very inconsistent for the past few months. Mainly because we are living through a pandemic, and secondly because I am a graduate student 😂. How naive was it of me to think that a plant could follow my own rhythms? I guess it highlights my 'plant blindness.' Second, the light intensity was low and PH levels high. In the last five days, I have learned that plants are living organisms (I knew this, but my plant blindness is quick to dismiss it, I need to stop fighting these "plant voices" (signals)) that require a proper environment to grow, similar to humans. Of course, a plant is not human, but it is alive and living. It needs water, a regular schedule (light (active) /darkness (rest), oxygen, nutrients, and an overall good environment to grow. Concern about the size of my plant at five weeks, I decided to conduct a few experiments at home. Here are my notes: Friday, July 23, 2021, I took the plant out of the tent at 6:00 AM and placed it in front of my backyard window that faces the Eastside, perfect for sunrise. On that day, I had a few errands to run, and when I arrived home, it was 2:30 PM. The sun was now hitting the West side of my house, and I had to move the plant in front of my bedroom window. At around 7:00 PM, I went to look at the plant and noticed that its leaves were looking plumpy. So, I decided to take a timelapse to see what I would be able to record. During "magic hour" (sunset), I recorded and witnessed the plant moving with the rhythms of the sun. Plant, like humans, function at their best when they are synchronized with their circadian rhythm. The pandemic has definitely disoriented us to the point that it has disrupted all of our schedules. To this day, I feel tired from everything we have all been through; how could I possibly think that a plant would thrive with such a messed-up schedule? The time lapse made me realize that the plant needs some structure to thrive, and so do I. So, as much as I like to think that I can be disciplined and follow a plant's schedule, I cannot. So, I went to the store and bought the Globe Suite smart plug to automate and schedule the light cycle to 12hrs of light and 6 hours of darkness. Saturday, July 24, 2021, the plant woke up to the set schedule of the lights. I checked on the plant first thing in the morning, around 9:30 AM. The leaves look much greener and thicker than they did the day before. Sunday, July 25, 2021. I was away overnight and did not arrive home until 2 PM. The plant looks twice the size it was on Friday! Today, I will water the plant. I got a PH test kit and realized that the way that I measured the PH level, the first few weeks was wrong 🤦‍♀️🏽. I measured the PH correctly, to 5.9, and added some Reefertilizer grow nutrients to the water. I watered from the top, distributing the water evenly around the stem. My partner pointed to me that the lights seemed dim for the stage of the plant's life. So I had my lights set at 100 watts running at 20 % 😅. I realized that I had not increased the light intensity since the first few weeks of vegetation 🤦‍♀️🏽. So I increased the intensity to 100 watts running at 60%. Monday, July 26, 2021. First check-in 7:00 AM: The plant looks like it loves all of the new changes that I have made! It is finally growing 🤗 The sun is out, but it is not as intense as it should be because tiny particles of smoke are present in our air due to the wildfires, and they create a filter that makes the human eye see the sun blood red. It is quite apocalyptic. Regardless, I decided to take the plant out from the tent and record a time-lapse. It is fascinating how much movement plants have despite showing no noticeable signs of movement (to the human eye). Tuesday, July 27, 2021. It has been five days since I have made big changes to the plant's schedule and environment. The plant is finally showing good signs of growth, and its leaves colours have changed to a deep green. I am not watering the plant today, but I am spritzing it with water. I decided to take another time-lapse of the plant, but this time inside the tent. As I was setting up the tripod for my camera, I accidentally increased the humidifier 🤦‍♀️🏽. Luckily, I noticed within a reasonable timeframe and reduced the humidity and made the environment better. I increased the light intensity to 100 watts at 100%. The plant will stay in the tent all day today because it is raining ☔️.

My permanent marker plants are looking really interesting! The short and stocky one with the purple leaves is super vibrant. I love that pop of color against the green of the other plants. It's a little different from the taller plant, which has this really cool stacked-up look to it. I'm curious to see if those stacked-up leaves will change color too. The past few weeks have been so beautiful, watching the plants grow and change. It's amazing how something so small and fragile can turn into something so strong and vibrant. Now that they're getting ready to bloom, it feels a little bittersweet. I'm so excited to see the finished product, but I'll definitely miss having them around while they're growing.

OK guys I'm back after being away for 2 weeks. I've proceeded to a final transplantation into a 9L AirPot container, right before I left for vacations. I also added a canopy-ring in order to open up the plant and start some LST without adjusting strings everyday. A friend was in charge of the grow room while I was away, and she did a pretty good job. The GBK is healthy, with a vigorous growth, she has 8 main summits and the lower parts were pruned. She will remain under vegetative stage for 1~2 weeks before flipping into 12/12 light schedule. I can't wait to see her full of buds! Thanks for stopping by 👊

Plants were a little neglected this week due to health issues. Temps are cooler also which is not helping with growth, but they are still doing well

The ladies look great and healthy. They are growing fast. They just started week 4 and they are starting to pre-flower. Banana Purple Punch and Forbidden Runtz are doing better they are catching up.. They just got fed, LST and I did some defoliation.

Beginning a 2 week flush, just tap water from my bathroom.. nothing special lol smell is getting very dank

Week 3 - doing very well! Moved the plants to an attic room in my house and positioned them under a sky light - seem to be thriving now. I taped some tinfoil around the plants to maximise sunlight. Vegetation looks healthy and I have been watering sporadically when needed. No signs of any problems or stress, fingers crossed! Thinking about repotting them into their final, larger containers soon. Nothing added in terms of nutrients or anything like that! So far, so good. Let's hope they stay on track.

This week I've been maintaining the new seedlings, helping a growmie with some trimming work and staying on top of my flower tent to the best of my ability. Mr. Wowie took down the first plant from his harvest of some Killer Queen bag seeds he had been saving for a few years. He was able to microscope out his trichomes well, with a 45x microscope with a display screen, he got from Amazon. This tool gave him a way better view than a jewelers loupe. He was able to take the plant down after a dry, and we trimmed it up. We were able to use our Cannabrush Trim Brushes, our Harvest More Trim Bins, and two pairs of snippers too make short work of it. The buds came out awesome! Shout out to the homie on the harvest! As for my garden today I went ahead and gave the seedlings and the companion clones in the same tent, a dose of Mykos WP with the Trinity from Roots Organic. The Trinity has a Black Strap Molasses, Saponin blend (Q and Yucca), and added Kelp Extract which I've noticed works great when combined with the Mykos WP. Temps have been around 77-79 daily and humidity around 50%. I have been able to start using my hand sprayer instead of a spray bottle for watering now, since the seedlings are now large enough to be watered instead of misted. I'm still using the AC Infinity Seedling Fan in the tent to provide a little air flow. I'm hoping to get another 14 days or so out of these little seedling pots, then I plan on transplanting to half gallons until I can finish my flower run to save tent space. Ethos Lilac Diesel #22 (x) Grandpa's Cookies #7- The Ethos Seedling has been growing awesome! It looks like it should start its full vegetative growth stage soon! It has been drinking it's water in it's seedling pot nicely. It no longer needs its bread tie and binder clip support I made for it and stands tall on its own. It's leaves are green and begining to come in almost daily. It still stands at 6 inches, so it looks like it finally found a PAR range it wants to be in and stopped it's stretch. Good for me. I now have the PPFD sitting at around 110. HSO/ Geist Grow Tow Truck- This seedling still looks weird! Its two leaves have a white strip across them and don't look very healthy. The new growth being generated by the plant appears lush and green so I believe it's growing out of whatever is going on. It surely hasn't stopped drinking water, it still keeps up with all it's companion plants and has been growing new growth and keeps on trucking! No pun intended 😅 I'll remove the effected leaves once there are a few more leaves available for the plant to use. It stands at 3 inches tall and hasn't had any trouble standing up since sprouting. Raspberry Ripple (Flower Tent)- The Flower Tent is on day 25, The number one phenos are doing awesome in the larger 15 gallon grassroots pots with cover crop. The number two phenos are in 5 gallons again this run but also seem to be doing better than last time and the nugs are larger than last time at this stage in flower. I'm not sure if this is to do with the new light (HLG Blackbird) or because I've been doing a slightly heavier feeding of build a flower this run or maybe because i used light doses of build a bloom weekly for the first 3 weeks. Im chalking it up to a combination of everything. I reammended some old soil to use in the 15 gallon pots. I also mixed it with new soil at a 50/50 ratio. This worked well but I could tell it was lacking a little at first. After a few waterings and a build a bloom feeding it all sorted out. I've been plucking some awkward leaves here and there! d.57 - looks alright, had to do some lst and adjustments to level out the height gave an additional biotab. move my big fan, below the plant, in an effort to push the moisture upwards and out, which resulted in me being able to raise the lights further up.. my plant is way over the average height of is genetics, thanks to biotabs 🌞. fastbuds said it would have an average height of 70-100 cm, and ny plant is closing in on the 80 cm and she keeps going ^^. and people say that autoflowers cant be main lined, well i believe this grow proves it. achieved darker folliage in the bottom, so i believe that we are on the right track. hopefully the deficiency levels out. day 62/63 gave an additional biotab so we are at 6 total. day 63 i gave 10 ml bio pk with the watering.

All 3 plants are different, the one at the back is as big as the other two. One of the plants in the front is in a 9 liter airpot and developing quicker than the other two. Also the buds are looking a bit different, very white on the bluecheese in the back. This week I also started adding Acti-Vera and Bio-Heaven, hopefully they like it. Not noticing anything unusual and I am glad I have the extra 20 cm to grow in hight in the new tent. Day 46, switched to bigger lights SF-G3000, fits perfect in a 70x70 😇 Light at 60%, 40 CM from top.

There were problems with the grow. First I burned the leaves with self made insecticide. Then she got nitrogen poisoning. She grew rather small, but the smell was beautiful: fruity and exotic, pineapple 😊. I am very happy that she still managed to grow such nice buds. I only trimmed the fan leaves and hung the stalks with buds in the basement. I hope that humidity will stay reasonable. ATM there is 75% RH I will update the report after first smoke
