My pictures seem to have re organized themselves, just give me a few here and I'll get the full rundown . So this week ( day 21-23) was MAJOR defoliating. What my first step is to start taking the largest fan leaves . My next step is about halfway through the canopy I'll stop and then I'll start working on the very bottom of the plant now at this stage in the game anything that doesn't even have a nice Bud site so a nice white hair sticking bud at the very bottom like shoots I'll just cut them right off. This is the first steps of a main line but I don't complete the actual full main line I probably will try it sometime soon just not this time. So you take off anything that is a small shoot coming off the main stems and then your next step is . STOP. It might be a minute it might be 10 minutes, 20 min , it might be an hour or more ( my tip is don't wait a full day I try and do it within the first 12 hours of starting it) but I always stop just to look at what I've done sometimes if you get going too quickly you can end up doing way too much. Stand to talk to canopy and look what sites are getting hit by light what places are these families beneficial to use for photosynthesis. Anything that is not doing as much good will be taken off and at that point I'll probably do another you know 5-10 minutes of defoliation maybe take one or two more shoots at the bottom to ensure what's left there is a huge fat cola that's going to give you those huge buds . After this you're going to want to do your best to support those stems that are going to hold a lot more weight as if the plant would have been with all the shoots so you're going to want to just make sure that you have staking in place or some sort of support system to keep them from flopping over a breaking them in the future because that's one thing yeah it's great but then it'll get to a point where oh no stuff falling over and then it's just more hassle than it is helpful. Not getting enough light coverage due to the light the tent came with and the inline fan not doin anything at all honestly but still doin pretty good so far hopefully I don't get bud rot before I can make it to my first harvest... I know it would be way better with a Grow Abby soil edition 😜

Day nine of flower and so far so good. I’m gonna let her go another 12 days or so before I do a deep defoliation and open up the canopy for better light penetration and clear out some of the lower branches and leaves. For now I’m just tucking fan leaves daily to expose bud sites to more light. Might give her a small amount of amendments next week to send her off to the finish line with. So far she looks good to my novice eyes. My favorite part of the grow cycle is just around the corner!

01/26 - (Clone mother) - She got a little funky last week and was in recovery mode for about 2 days - She has since then recovered (24hrs) and is performing amazingly - Running high temps High humidity - 2 part feed (Clean/Nute) on micro-dose program. 01/31 - Applied HST to lay her out - she is rebounding accordingly - Increased her feeds to once every other day alternating from nute to clean water - picked up the lights a little (19 inches above canopy) to clear room for SOG

Day 32 flower update they smell amazing and are starting to fatten up...we're lookin at 60-70 say harvest time recommend by the breeders for all these strains

This cherry cola from fastbuds is already on a good start. They may have been a bit better if I had the light dialed in.

I bumped light up to 80% (PPFD 700-400 on edges). Observation weekend Noticed a bit taco / clawing raised light to 22”. Coconut oil infusion experiment Mini crock pot / warm / 2C coconut oil / 24g of Blueberry cupcake / 6hrs stirring once an hour / strained with cheese cloth

my dry and cure style is this: 4 days of hanging upside down to get water activity lower to around 0.6 in 50% humidity and 26 C temp (i know its a little high but we are in a hot summer right now and i cant get it lower even with air conditioner) and then after 4 days of drying i remove leaves and stalks, trim buds and move them to jar for the rest of their life :D . and in the first 4 days of curing i open the jar door and let hem get some fresh air in the jar for about 5 minutes and close the jar door again, after 4 days of curing like that buds are smokable but they will get better as they getting cured about 1 month. buds are one of the hardest as fucking rocks type of buds! very dense , compact , sticky , smelly , amazing at every aspect growing stage was 56 days and flowering stage was 75 days total (harvested tops at day 64th) the total weight of dry buds was : (plant #1 & #3 top buds 56 G + lower buds 22 G ) 78 G + (plant #2 top buds 47 G + lower buds 18 G ) 55 G + (plant #4 top buds 120 G + lower buds 67 G ) 187 G = 367 G

A very quiet week just made sure the runoff watering was the same reading as from the tap she is watered from so all that is left to say is good look to everyone else in the Dutch passion competition so until next time ✌️ out my fellow Growmies 🙏👍

Buds are swelling up like crazy. Smell is starting to get very strong. Blueberry, CBD Big Bud Skunk and Do SI Do's are well into flower. The buds are enormous!! I've noticed a few are nitrogen hungry. I've been supplimenting and they seem to be happy. All in all very happy with the progress and how smooth things are going.... so far. Total days above ground: 63 Total flower nights: 24 Just beyond 3 weeks into flower and the plants are showing their potential. Even the 2 smaller Kush Mints have really come on strong in flower. Can barely tell they were under-sized at this point. Still have a little more compact structure, but spreading it out with some garden wire really allowed it to power its growth. Yield should be in line with the others. The KM3 had a strong minty smell last week, but that's mellowed out a bit since. All of the MSNL plants are robust and strong. Second grow with excellent results from this breeder. I did not pay for these seeds, but I am not a shill, either. If one of them grew all whacky like the mountaintop mint, I'd voice the same complaints. The clearly care about such traits in their selection process. Overall the canopy has filled in nicely. I have a couple spots where light is wasted and I'll make some adjustments to the process to fix that for future grows. Now that I've settled on plant size and number of plants, improvements can be made each cycle until it's clockwork. I like the 12-cola vs 8 cola experiement. I've got a fairly long list of edits to make to various sections of my "bible," which means I liked the outcomes of most of my incremental adjustments. Continual, systematic improvement in action... One other incremental change on the docket but not yet realized will be dropping nutrient concnetration once vegetative growth ends. Exact timing will be based on what I see in the foliage. I see some minor tip curl and its a bit darker than I want. So, it may come sooner than later. This'll be something I tweak over the next few grow cycles until I'm happy with the late-flower health. I'll drop fertilizer concentration 10-15% on next refill and see how that plays out. It'll take a couple refills of reservoir to near 100% transition without draining it. If necessary, I'll drain and do a full refill for more pressing needs. A rez scrub before final stretch is coming, regardless. Side note: The impacts of VPD can be enormous. Last year (2025-2 diary) I had a humidifier wick get fouled and RH dropped while VPD spiked for more than a few days, thinking I could power through or that the canopy would soon provide more moisture. Nope, growth stalled in a significant way. By comparing day 34-42-49 of 2025-2 and day 38-42-49 of this diary, I can see a huge difference in growth at same point above ground. The consitency with which i do things makes it fairly certain it's the extende period with extremely high VPDs that caused the difference. Also, interesting that it mostly catches back up by completion of third week of flower. The size difference is nearly undone by this point, though 2025-2 took 4 days longer vege phase to get there. Even so, I still think this grow is more than 4 days ahead of 2025-2 (the difference in vegetative phae duration). Time will tell if the development is ahead of the pace in 2025-2 or whether it's simply mostly an offset due to a less efficient vege phase for 2025-2.
