The plant permanently halts vertical growth from that main stem and immediately sends its energy and hormones to the two new, evenly spaced branches just below the cut. Fimming slightly different because a small tuft of the top growth is left behind, the auxin disruption is temporary and less severe. The plant recovers more quickly and sends its energy to multiple surrounding growth points, often creating four or more new shoots from the same spot. It will eventually regain some vertical dominance after a few weeks if left to its own devices, but with a little more LST, bending the apex to the same height as the rest of the internodes, this shatters dominance, hopefully creating around 8-9 main shoots growing at equal height once recovered and grown out. As H+ ions increase, the proportion of acid cations (H+ and Al3+) on the exchange sites increases, while base cations (Ca2+, Mg2+, K+) decrease, resulting in a lower soil pH. The amount of photosynthesis (water splitting) directly determines the availability of H+ ions (protons) in a plant. 90% of water is for cooling of photosynthetic apparatus the other 10% is split for its H+ among others things. Carbon sugars, like glucose, do oxidize in soil through a process primarily driven by microorganisms, which break down these sugars for energy. This oxidation converts the sugars into carbon dioxide (CO2) through cellular respiration, a key part of the soil carbon cycle, though some carbon may also be incorporated into soil organic matter. The rate and extent of sugar oxidation depend on factors like oxygen availability, the presence of Fe oxides, and soil redox conditions, which can all influence the process. My understanding of why we flush. Just plain water, what does it do? Strips the medium of salts and nutrients making it empty. What does that do? Triggers nutrient recycling within the plant. What's nutrient recycling? It is a natural part of plant senescence, which can be triggered once you know the switches. A 24:1 carbon-to-nitrogen ratio will also trigger. Ammoniacal (organic) nitrogen takes 4-5 times more water to separate it from soil particles than nitrates so what happens is most people jist flush the nitrates, leave all the ammoniacal in there and this prevents autophagy initiating. Nitrogen decays differently depending on its form during the dry. Ammoniacal nitrogen will oxidize in the air, leaving no trace. But nitrates do no decay and turn volatile and smelly and remain trapped until smoked, no matter how long you cure it does not oxidize. This is why you need to trigger it and begin the denitrification process prior to harvest to get rid of all the nitrates. Otherwise, you will smoke it. Flush till autophagy begins, just make sure you add no nitrogen afterwards. Micronutrients for trichomes. Don't leave the medium empty for 2 weeks, that does nothing but reduce yield 10%ish. Trichomes are another thing. Trichomes themselves are not directly affected by flushing; rather, flushing affects the plant's nutrient uptake, which influences the development and final state of the trichomes. Trichomes are filled with antioxidants in the last weeks, which is what makes them cloudy. A lot of the processing of antioxidants requires energy and nutrients (mostly micronutrients ), so you don't want that soil empty for 2 weeks, you just want the carbon nitrogen ratio 24:1and no higher. She still wants what she needs to ripen. Processing antioxidants is energy-intensive; heat and light accelerate the rate at which THC converts to CBN. This is why you lower DLI, lower temps. By doing so, you reduce the oxidative workload caused by photosynthesis, which opens up the oxidative capacity for the production of antioxidants. THC is mostly processed at night when the plant's oxidative capacity is generally moreso "free and available" for work

V35 to 42 Monday Removed all the fan leaves, supercropped them all over and trained the branches. I was seeing some spots and some yellow leaves on the back two and my pH was rising up to about 6.5 so it could be why. I need to buy new pH down. Mine expired over a year ago lol I think I'll flip at the end of the week. 750ppm @ 5.8 25/60rh Lights 350w @ 20-18"

2/5/25 thought i took some more pictures than this. shes very gassy. im worried about the mites because i noticed webbing on some of the fan leaves. i sprayed very very lightly with lost coast plant therapy. top dressed with 2 tsp bloom and 1tsp microbe and 1 tsp foundation

Primera semana de floración. Se hizo un poco de defoliacion. Se retiraron las hojas más grandes y algunas de las medianas para permitir el ingreso de la luz a las zonasas bajas. También se hizo lst a una rama que se estaba yendo muy arriba, para equiparar y dejar todo al mismo nivel.

You can notice that a part of it has started to dry out...I noticed some bed bugs on this part of the plant, plus at the base of the stem there is a big open bruise.

This was not a very diffecult plant to grow. I wanted to see how the plant was growing without training it. I didn't have luck on that because she grow so big, 3 times her size when vegged. Obviously very sativa. So in the end i had to bend the shit out of all the stems. After all the LST you could see she stacked up really nice and as time went by and she grew fatter and fatter. All the buds became top heavy and i had to tie everything so i didn't snap my branches. I think although it was maybe not the prettiest grow to watch the outcome is great. i cannot believe it myself. So because i had 2 plants in the room i had to devide the lights also in 2. That being said it is a lot of weed from 1 autoflower . So i can only say i am very happy with this. :-)

Week 4 begins for Divine storm 1&2, 4 weeks to go! Both ladies are looking good, DS1 is a bit more thirsty then her sister DS2, I'll keep a close eye on her this week and will feed her extra if necessary. Thanks for stopping by 👽🌳💚

Seit dem Einschalten des Lüfters haben die drei gut 20l Wasser verbraucht. 😅 Sie wachsen so unglaublich schnell, dass sie in drei Tagen fast die LED berührt haben. Dadurch leichte Verbrennungen an den Spitzen der Lava Cake. Viel höher darf die Runtz nicht werden, sonst muss ich die Spitze nach unten binden. Das Zelt ist nur 180 cm hoch. Der Lüfter des Filters läuft jetzt schneller mit 50% Leistung. Die Luftfeuchtigkeit lag heute bei 75% und musste aus dem Zelt. Das führt aber auch dazu, dass die Wärme abgesaugt wird. Wird Zeit, dass es draußen konstant wärmer wird. 03. Mai 2025 Die Lüftung habe ich über den Trenntrafo wieder eine Stufe langsamer gestellt. Aber auch vorher lag die Temperatur nachts bei 22°C, also alles im grünen Bereich. Licht: Eine der zwei Sanlight S4W strahlt exclusiv seitlich auf die Runtz. Normalerweise würde ich das nicht so machen, aber die Runtz wächst sehr luftig und hat sehr großen Abstand zwischen den Blättern. Sie sieht gesund aus und wächst gleichmäßig. Die Rückseite der Pflanze zeigt keinen Lichtmangel durch unsymetrisches Wachstum. Eine Beleuchtung von oben wäre aktuell schlechter. Ich muss schon sagen, die Runtz überrascht mich immer wieder und ich mag das zwar hohe aber sehr luftige Wachstum! Die Sleepy Joe und die Lava Cake sind vergleichbar hoch und teilen sich die zweite Sanlight S4W. Auch ihnen geht es gut, etwas größer wachsende Pflanzen sind mir aber lieber. Wasserbrauch: Bisher 30l. Heute den kleinen Tank mit 20l Wasser inkl. 64 ml Canna Aqua Flores aufgefüllt. 34 ml pro 10l bei hartem Wasser gemäß Rechner von Canna. Beim letzten Grow habe ich noch pH-down verwendet, das ist laut Canna nicht nötig und funktioniert aktuell perfekt! Canna: "Es sind pH-Stabilisatoren enthalten die ein Einstellen des pH-Werts unnötig machen." Und sie sind nicht übertrieben dunkelgrün durch zu viel Stickstoff. 😱

Es wurde ein paar Blätter entfernt um den unteren Trieben mehr Licht zu geben. Heute stellte ich fest das die Pflanze sehr viel Wasser aufgenommen hat … jetzt geht es richtig los

En un inicio se pensaba dar 4 semanas de vegeta pero por un estrés de agua en la segunda semana se tuvo q dar una semana más de vegeta. Mañana se me cambiará el ciclo a 12/12 para empezar su flora.
