Nothing too wild happened this week. I trimmed her up a bit today before taking pictures, she’s looking good. Doesn’t seem like much is really going on with the plant, but the buds do seem to be getting bigger. While trimming today, I think I found a spider in the leaves I removed. Should I be worried about this? It’s either eating insects or it’s just in there right? Hopefully there are no bugs for this thing to eat. 4 more weeks of flower. Wednesday update: Had an issue. Seems my timers stopped working. Light and filters/fans. Not sure when it happened, but I've reset lights to the normal time setting. Hope this doesn't affect her

Hey guys! 👏 Hope everyone is doing well! This week was interesting. I made a small flush because I wanted to know how much salt my plants had in the soil (considering I've fed my plants with a lot of nutrients the past few weeks) aaaaand the results were quite interesting! They obviously had tons of salts! Here are the results of the runoff water: Falco 5.94 pH 1139 ppm (2278 us/m) Max 5.85 pH 2352 ppm (4704 us/m) Roko 5.64 pH 2453 ppm (4906 us/m) Boomer 5.72 pH 1765 ppm (3530 us/m) Surprisingly enough the plants that had the "worst" runoff values were the plants who had the most foliage and their leaves were the greenest. The pH "loss" of all the plants was also within the expected margin so that's good! 👌 The buds look beautiful and I also noticed some of the plant leaves are starting to turn purple 😍 the smell is also getting stronger and it's quite citric, I love it! High-ash biochars, especially those produced at lower temperatures and applied to acidic or sandy soils, can significantly boost CEC by providing abundant binding sites for cations like calcium (Ca²⁺), magnesium (Mg²⁺), and potassium (K⁺). Biochar is more sustainable than typical organic matter for long-term soil improvement primarily due to its high stability and resistance to microbial decomposition, allowing it to persist in the soil for hundreds to thousands of years. This longevity provides a lasting positive effect on soil properties, particularly by increasing the cation exchange capacity (CEC) over time, while regular organic matter breaks down much faster. Biochar generally offers a much higher CEC than coco coir, though specific values vary greatly; while coco coir might sit around 40-60 cmol/kg, biochar can range from tens to over 200 cmol/kg, with sources like Acacia wood biochar or even coconut shell biochar often surpassing coco's capacity due to its porous structure, creating significantly more cation-binding sites for nutrients, making it superior for nutrient retention. Needs to be charged similar to coco but at a much higger rate. But shhhh.. It's a secret. Ancient biochar-rich soils in the Amazon basin (known as Terra Preta) provide evidence of carbon stability lasting over 500 to 2,000+ years. Recommend a balanced ratio of key cations, particularly calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and potassium (K). A widely accepted general "ideal soil" cation saturation ratio is approximately 65-85% Ca, 6-12% Mg, and 2-5% K. That's roughly what I give mine. Can even add N in its NH4+ form

Mars Hydro light performs well, girls sorted all step backs and now my friend has a week to do DIY scrog. Day 32. Strawberry Ice is huge ! All branches reach to top and proper bush is forming. Candy Kush is behind, but catching up, she was toped today. All stems got light supercroping, new shoots exposed to light, leaves tucked. Next weekend scrog should be installed i think and flower should begin too. Day 33. the 7th week. i decided to do the first topping. she took it well. and the new branches are thriving. i have also started LST training. she has got used to the environment and is finally showing the power i expected from her. the first weeks were just too changeable and sometimes too cold.

RUNNING OUT OF ROOM!!!!!! light is sitting 12 inch from the top of the plants. Had to put another screen down to give me just a little more room. not to sound like im sucking my self off but i really didnt expect these plants to grow so well so now its a mad panic to save some room. Getting cold during the day and night here so temp control is still and issue. week posted a day early due to holiday obligations . hoping the stretch last another day or so before bud start producing Update but who the F$%^ knows this is all new to me Update Three days into week 10 and i had to push down a second SCOG net and push some of the stems down. showing signs of what i think is light burn .... even though im using leds. dont think its nute burn gonna add some pics and maybe you can see it. these little babies shot up fast one night after being pushed down. the white hairs are starting to really show still got 12 inches of room from the light. With everything ive read online my flowering phase seems to be a bit behind the what i would call normal time line but im guessing its just the strain im growing.

Light is now at 40 cm, dimmed to deliver 40 DLI with 18/6 day/night. CO2 level is near 700 so I'm thinking about introducing boost buddy to the ladies. Will hold off for another day. Just misting the surface. Started with Fox Farm at 1/3 dosage as my soil had organic nutes in it already. Starting slowly. Saw a gnat running around. Stopped water and misting. Put some packing tape in. Should be ok. 😁 Temperature is creeping up as I add more light. Maybe increase distance soon. Increased the light distance. Leaves were looking a little baked. Maybe too hot as well.
