W7.D1(46) ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ‘‹๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ•— Greetings to all our blog readers in the 7th week ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ“š! We are inching closer to the flowering stage ๐ŸŒธ, yet we're not quite ready to bloom just yet ๐Ÿ‘‹. The 3DScrog structure is finally taking on its designed appearance ๐ŸŽ‰, a milestone that suggests most of the forthcoming adjustments can be efficiently managed from within ๐Ÿ•—. ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ› ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ง The appearance of yellow burns on a number of the top buds is a tale of inexperience and carelessness ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ”ฅ - a consequence of not washing away the small "puddles" that formed and dried out after treating them with neem oil mixed with an emulsifier ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ๐Ÿ’ง. I suspect it's the toxic effect of the emulsifier at play ๐ŸŒผ. I've since rinsed the leaves with clean water a couple of times to mitigate the damage ๐Ÿ’ง. ๐Ÿ’ฆ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿšฟ๐ŸŒบ As we proceed, our plant begins to demand more water ๐Ÿ’ฆ, showing signs of a robust thirst that's growing just as she is ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒฟ. This increasing need for hydration is yet another step in her journey towards full bloom ๐Ÿšฟ๐ŸŒบ. W7.D2(47) ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ“† Here we are at the dawn of ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒž the second day of the seventh week! I've managed to perform a modest ๐Ÿƒ defoliation of the largest fan leaves to clear the way for the sunlight to reach a multitude of ๐ŸŒฑ sprouts breaking through from below. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ’ก๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ“ While they continue to grow, I'm contemplating the ๐Ÿค” optimization of the internal space and have temporarily removed 4 skewers, concluding that it's possible to proceed without them. ๐Ÿ’ก This exercise in minimalism not only simplifies our setup but also aligns with the philosophy of making more out of less. W7.D3(48) ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ”ง๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ“ˆ On the third day of the seventh week, in the space that had been ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ“š previously cleared, a structure for training was set up, and the sprouts embarked on their journey ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ”ง towards their designated sections. Not all sections are ๐Ÿ“š fully occupied at this moment. ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ”๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ” However, I believe that by the time we reach the ๐Ÿ” top of the cage, we'll have the opportunity to see ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ”๐ŸŒฟ every cell brimming with life. ๐Ÿ“ W7.D4(49) ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ’ก Today marks a new day in our journey, where I gently ๐ŸŒž guide the leaves downwards, ๐Ÿƒ unveiling the blossoms to a greater abundance of sunlight. While ๐ŸŒฟ lollipopping is a common practice at this stage, my stance against extensive ๐Ÿƒ defoliation is firm - only minimal removal is permissible, and here's why I believe so: ATP in the plant is produced through ๐ŸŒฟ cellular respiration and ๐ŸŒž photosynthesis, with glucose for respiration being synthesized solely through photosynthesis. Discovering that the plant and all its energy come directly from the air was a revelation to me (a heartfelt thank you to Mark Rober for his enlightening videos). ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ”ฌ๐ŸŒฟ To put it succinctly, the transformation of carbon dioxide into ATP and NADPH occurs through photosynthesis during the light phase, and then, these ATP and NADPH are utilized to convert CO2 into glucose, nourishing the entire plant! So, when you consider removing chloroplasts in its leaves, always remember, you're cutting off its primary source of life force. W7.D5(50) ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿ’ก More and more blossoms are eager to witness the magic of the bulbs ๐Ÿ˜Š), and I'm thrilled to assist them in this endeavor - today, I've incorporated additional components to expand the number of sections, making it easier to tuck away the growing foliage. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ“โœ… I hope this time I've meticulously planned the ventilation correctly.. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ“โœ… W7.D6(51) ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ˜•๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ“–๐ŸŒŸ Today, I embarked on a journey ๐ŸŒฟ through an activity I don't usually relish ๐Ÿ˜• - defoliation ๐ŸŒฑ. This task, while not my favorite, is infused with the purpose ๐Ÿ“– of achieving greater control over the nurturing ๐ŸŒŸ of individual stems into their dedicated spaces. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ”งโค๏ธ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŒˆ Yes, it's a necessity โค๏ธ for me to fine-tune ๐Ÿ”ง the placement of each stem ๐ŸŒฑ into its own cell, ensuring a symphony of growth ๐Ÿ“š that harmonizes with my gardening ambitions ๐ŸŒˆ. ๐Ÿ”๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ”ฒ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿš€ My aspiration ๐Ÿ” is to guide ๐ŸŒฟ a single stem into each cell, while the larger squares ๐Ÿ”ฒ at the corners remain untouched, a testament to potential space expansion ๐ŸŒ in this ever-evolving garden cosmos ๐Ÿš€. W7.D7(52) ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿ“… Today marks the final day of the week, and it's time to reflect on our accomplishments. ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’ก๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿ“… Here they are: ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ”„๐ŸŒŸ We've successfully devised and implemented the ultimate arrangement for individual colas, aiming for no less than 48 in total. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ”ง๐Ÿ“ in our arrangement, we've implemented ๐Ÿ”„ adjustments to ensure the ๐ŸŒŸ growth potential is maximized. ๐ŸŠโœ‚๏ธ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ”„๐Ÿ’ช Alligator clips have found yet another useful application - they can stretch or support individual branches. I've utilized this method to support the growth direction of colas in two distinct "squares." ๐ŸŠ clips not only ๐Ÿ”„ adjust but also โœ‚๏ธ carefully shape the ๐ŸŒฑ plant, providing the necessary ๐Ÿ’ช support. ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ”œ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ›ซ๐Ÿก Next week presents an opportunity to transition to flowering, yet due to my impending journey, which will leave her utterly alone, I've decided to wait. ๐ŸŒธ Transitioning to ๐Ÿ”œ would be ideal, but ๐Ÿšซ due to my ๐Ÿ›ซ absence, it's best she's not left ๐Ÿก alone during such a crucial phase. Waiting for my return seems like the most compassionate choice, ensuring she doesn't bloom in solitude. ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ’–๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿก๐Ÿ”™ Upon my return, we'll embark on the next phase of our journey with renewed zeal, ensuring our champion plant thrives, surrounded by care and attention. ๐ŸŒŸ Awaiting this moment fills me with ๐Ÿ’– anticipation, as I know upon ๐Ÿ”™ return, our ๐ŸŒฑ project will bloom into its fullest potential, right here in our ๐Ÿก home.

๐Ÿ—“๏ธ 3ยฐ WEEK FLO // DAY 15-21 (from switch) // DAY 92-98 (from dry seed) โšก- Light: 40 cm / 250 watt; โŒ›- Schedule: 11/13; ๐ŸŒก๏ธ- 22ยฐ C - 65% RH average; ๐Ÿ“‘- PH 5.9 - EC 2; ๐Ÿ’ง- #1 is drinking a lot! Love it! ๐Ÿ˜ โœ‚๏ธ- A new big haircut for them on DAY 15 FLO. Removed most of the leaves and a some lower branches, specially on the #1; ๐Ÿฅ…- Still bending the #1 branches trough the ScrOG-net; ๐ŸŒฑ- Flowering is ongoing, they're pretty fine. Both are not stretching as I expected, maybe due the gradual approach to the switch. That's a good info for the next time but I would have appreciated a bit more stretching, specially on the #2.

During the first week, Permanent Marker by Seed Junky faced challenges due to low humidity, manifesting in stressed, wilted leaves. Notably, the lower leaves began showing a purple hue. Despite these setbacks, given its lineage and Seed Junky's reputation, optimism prevailed. Implementing misting and environmental adjustments, the strain's resilience became evident. This purpling, while unexpected, added intrigue. With vigilant care, I remain hopeful, anticipating both challenges and the strain's promising growth ahead.

During the initial two weeks of growth, Bad Guy by UKHTA Genetics encountered suboptimal conditions marked by low humidity. This environment took a toll, causing some leaves to exhibit signs of dehydration, notably curling and drying at the edges and base. Despite these challenges, the strain showcased its resilience, pushing forward with steady growth. Regular monitoring and adjustments are crucial to ensure Bad Guy's health and maximize its potential as it navigates these less-than-ideal conditions.

At the 10-week mark of flowering for the Wapanga strain by TerpHogz, observations indicate it's nearing harvest time. The trichomes appear mostly cloudy with some transparency, suggesting it's approaching the optimal harvest window. However, the main cola continues to display signs of active flowering, prompting a careful approach. While the plant signals readiness in some areas, the continued vitality of the main cola suggests it might benefit from a bit more time to fully mature. Monitoring this balance is crucial, ensuring a harvest that captures the strain's peak potency and flavor profile.

She is growing great ! Started flowering this week, I did a flush after the pre flower and increased the nutrient intake for flowering now. Got a lil light burn so put the light a bit further away, dim is on 80% now. Tie down and partial defoliation did well in evening the canopy and not letting it grow too high, but more in the sides.
