June 23, 2024 This week we focus on watering. There really isn't much else to do. The plants are all stacking buds and getting fat. I cleaned out all the reservoirs out and started a fresh dose of nutrients. Sour Diesel A is definitely light. I really don't understand this plant. She's thirsty, drinking just as much as the rest of not a little bit more than B. I may have to top feed her tomorrow with a half gallon of recharge. Other than that, her buds are looking pretty good and super frosty. Sour Diesel B looks like she has about 2 weeks left to go. Her pistils are almost all orange on the top while the lowers are still white. I checked the trichomes just for giggles and of course it's not done yet, but sooner than the rest of the plants. Sour Diesel C had some what looks like light burn without any other signs. A friend of mine suggested it could be some sort of fungus. I sprayed her down with some Defender 4. Her buds are STACKED. She has super long colas compared to the overall size of her. Sour Diesel D is drinking the most and was completely bone dry this morning. However, she's not light. So a cleaning and refill. We will just let her do her thing. Huge main cola. Everything else is smaller. The lights aren't changing. So I have a feeling that these plants ended up small like they are due to the limited space they had during Veg. Being autoflowers, they really didn't have room to stretch out. My next run will be much better. I won't be working with 6 plants in one tent. All this has to do with the lighting also. They just didn't get enough of what they needed at first, so smaller plants I get. The environment looks alright. The AC kicked on early today and the humidity in the tent dropped down to 54%. The temp is at 75°. Near perfect temp. The heat wave is gone now, so I should be able to control the humidity more with the AC kicking on earlier. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.4° RH: 58.3% VPD: 1.22 kPa June 24, 2024 Not much going on today. I forgot to check Sour Diesel A for her weight. I'll check later today. However, she should be fine. No watering today nor pics. Sour Diesel A looks really good. Tons of frost and her buds are swelling up nicely. Sour Diesel B looks really good. I'm sending daily pics of the trichomes to a friend so we can figure out about when she will be ready for harvest. I'm thinking 2 weeks. He thinks more. But neither of us can tell. He's not here, so he can't see what I see, and I always get hung up around now. Sour Diesel C seems to have some sort of issue. I'm not really sure what, but the leaves are slightly droopy and I keep getting these small burn dots on a leaf or two. As I said yesterday, it could be a fungus. I'll spray her down again with Defender 4 tomorrow. Sour Diesel D has this super fat main cola. Instead of stretching up and stacking up, she has stayed short and I'm her buds are stacking outward. The main top has 3 buds that make up the tip. Very cool. She's gonna be a small yield, but one massive cola. Can't complain about that. The lighting is, as always, the same. No changes whatsoever ever. The supplemental lighting is doing something? I don't really know. I really want to install them horizontally. I just feel it will have much better coverage vs the vertical position they are currently in. I might do that tomorrow when the plants are out of the tent. The environment is still not good. 62% humidity and 78°. I need to get that temp down. And of course the humidity needs to calm down as well. It should be fine by this afternoon. Or like yesterday, late morning. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.6° RH: 59.1% VPD: 1.17 kPa June 25, 2024 Picture Day! Not a lot to do today. Water is fine. Nothing really else. Sour Diesel A is super frosty with nice bud production. She is pretty well stacked and has bud throughout the plant. Let's watch her swell up and start folding over on itself. Surprisingly, she retained some of the weight from that top feeding next week. I'll keep a close eye on the weight and moisture level. Sour Diesel B is just as frosty as A, but has significantly larger buds. I'm hoping it's a sign for what's to come with the other plants. Sour Diesel C is super stacked. She's starting to swell nicely and her frost is amazing. She is also super potent. It's wonderful. Sour Diesel D needed a couple leaves cut off. Her main cola is absolutely massive. She smells great and she is swelling quite nicely. Lighting is the same. I'm not seeing any issues whatsoever with the supplemental lights and the main light. No light burn. Lots of frost. It just shows we are on the right track. Yesterday z the AC kicked on super early. The humidity was down to 52% for most of the day. I'm hoping it happens today as well. Currently the humidity is around 60%. The temp is a bit high at 77°, but the AC will knock that right down. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.9° RH: 58.1% VPD: 1.21 kPa June 26, 2024 Not much going on today. No watering no pics, just the daily and a quick update for the plants. Btw, the scent is getting overwhelming. What a nice smell. Sour Diesel A looks great! She has bright orange pistils that have already curled up into the buds. Not on the bottoms though. But there is still a good 3 weeks left to go. Buds are still swelling pretty well. Sour Diesel B is super frosty and super fat. She may be the smallest in the group, but her buds are huge. Her pistils are orange up top and still white on bottom. Even the orange ones are still sticking straight up. I think she has another 2.5 weeks left, but I'm not so sure anymore. She is showing signs of finishing up, but then she also has signs she isn't even ose to being done. We shall see. Sour Diesel C is looking absolutely beautiful. Being the largest of the group, I have high expectations and I don't think I'll be disappointed. She has stacks galore. Tons of frost and swelling buds. From what I understand about the Sour Diesel strain is that it has elongated buds, so the cola may look skinny and tall. I guess we will find out soon enough. Sour Diesel D is less disappointing now that I took a feel of the main cola. Solid. Super solid. And she's definitely nowhere near finished up. It's still kind of early for her so she has plenty of time to swell up like a foot ball. Lighting is the same. Honestly, I don't know why I still report on it, but it is one of the most important things in the grow space. Anyway, it's the same. Still not seeing any signs of stress from any of the plants. I forgot to install the support bars yesterday, so I'll try to remember to install them tomorrow and move the supplemental lights horizontally. The environment I can say is looking much better. The humidity is high in the morning, but then it drops down to around 52% for the rest of the day. The temp is back under control, so we are sitting happily at 75°. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.9° RH: 59.0% VPD: 1.18 kPa June 27, 2024 Picture Day! A bit to do today. Watering Day as well. Sour Diesel A got a half gallon top feed with Recharge today. I also topped off her reservoir which was only about 3/4 empty. The rest went into the top with the half gallon. She was really light and not drinking. She seems to have a lot of dry pockets and it took a bit to get them moist again. It worked. I had a bit of runoff from the dry pockets, but it's fine now. Sour Diesel B looks great. Huge fat buds all over. She didn't need a top feeding as she is drinking just the right amount. Sour Diesel C is looking great. Her buds are elongated like the classic Sour Diesel. And they are fattening up even more. I can't wait to see the end result. Sour Diesel D has a massive cola that takes up about a quarter of her main stem. The side branches also have nice big nugs on them. Looking forward to the outcome. The aroma coming from these ladies is strong and pungent. Sour and gassy loving this run so far. The lights are all the same. I forgot again to install the support bars. I'll try to remember next time I pull the plants out again. The environment is back to 60% this morning, but the temp is fine. A little high, but in range. It will all even out later today. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.0° RH: 58.2% VPD: 1.21 kPa June 28,2024 Nothing going on today. My phone screen died and I can't get the one picture off it from this morning. no watering today. Sour Diesel A looks great, but her buds aren't as big as they should be by now. She's still super frosty and an all around happy plant. Sour Diesel B looks wonderful with her fat buds all over. Her aroma is super strong. Her branches are really stiff as well. Of the 4, she seems to be the most promising for yield. but she is also the shortest of the 4. we shall see how things go with her. Sour Diesel C also has small buds for her age. I'm really not sure what happened here, but this is the second time in a row. It happened with my Tropicana Cookies as well. but that was because of incorrect nutrients, I think. Maybe. Now that it happened again and I didn't mess up the nutrients, it has to be something else. The lighting shouldn't be a problem either. I have that dialed in. The only issue I have run into that's the same with both runs is the environment. The humidity has been really high throughout the flowering stage and could be the issue. However, lately it has been dropping down to a reasonable level, but that's not until the afternoon. Sour Diesel D is just a stick with a huge cola on it. She only has 6 side branches, but they have big colas as well. however, one issue is how leafy she is. Her main cola has extremely deep leaves into the cola itself. trimming may be a bit of a pain, but that cola should be worth the effort. Lighting hasn't changed and won't change until the last week of flower... if I change it at all. The environment is its now normal high humidity in the mornings and lower humidity in the afternoon. I hope it's fine in the long run. only a few more weeks left and we are done. Let's hope we don't end poorly. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75* RH: 59% VPD: 1.21 kPa June 29, 2024 Picture Day! Last day of the week. I'd like to reflect on things we have noticed this week. Small buds, lights are on point, environment is wrong in the morning and much better in the afternoon. Sour Diesel A has kept her weight for the most part from the top feeding. Her reservoir is also draining at a good pace. Her pistils are shriveling into the buds now, so it looks super pretty. Her frost made her look like she has light burn. It's not. Don't worry. Buds look super dense and are covering the branches all around. However, they are still smaller than they should be. Sour Diesel B looks really nice. Her pistils are not shriveling up yet. I can't wait to see that happen. Then we will be on the right track for some dank bud. Sour Diesel C is now the winner of most water intake for this round. She will definitely need another watering tomorrow and she hasn't lost any weight from the top feeding. Looking great. Small compact buds. The look really dense. I wish they were bigger, but on the plus side, they have a ton of frosty goodness on them. Buds from top to near bottom of the plant. Sour Diesel D is doing her thing. Swelling more and more. Packing on weight and getting ready for the end of flower. She hasn't had much to drink and is getting light. I'll keep an eye on her tomorrow and maybe top feed some of her reservoir. The lighting is still the same and won't change next week. I've also decided to just leave the light bars in their vertical position. Next run, I'll have the bars installed. The environment is a mess today. It's 84% outside and 75°. It's nasty out. And of course it's reflecting in the tent. High humidity, temp is fine though. But really high humidity. Close to 70% for now. Not good at all. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.3° RH: 57.6% VPD: 1.23 kPa

The Fruity Donutz have finally stopped stretching and are now fully growing their buds. The two plants are two very different phenos where one is turning into a beautiful purple lady. The ladies are very thirsty and I water them two times per day just to keep up. Overall they look very healty and the buds are developing fast. Can't wait to see how they grow this week! 🌿🌿🌿 Mid-week update Because this strain only has 8 to 9 weeks from seed to harvest I started with a little bit of Green Sensation already to support the blooming. The two plants are developing quite differently. The plant in the back is producing lots of trichomes, even covering the smaller fan leafs as well as the sugar leafs. It would be cool to have leafs with thick resin trails at the end f this grow ✌️. The plant in the front doesn't produce that much trichomes just yet, but it has beautiful purple buds and sugar leafs. Even though they're very different in appearance, they are both beautiful. The smell is getting stronger by the day and *spoiler alert* it's damn fruity 😅!

Did see some small fruit flys In the room so will have to give the room a spray down. Apart from that the girls are looking healthy. Lights been turned upto %75 for week 2 of flower so will see how it goes 👍🏻💡 .. girls loving the light well happy with the FC4800.. energy saving compared to the spiderfarmer. I was running spiderfarmer full power by end of veg and that was around 440w from the wall. The FC4800 has only been pulling half of that from the wall and even now at %75 is still only running 360watts.. money saver and Plants are looking beast. Nutrients are killing it, no problems at all. This is only my 2nd coco grow and 1st with this Nutrient company. Week 2 for the solo Afghani went smooth. Looked a little slow to develop her first proper set of leaves, but the root development should help speed up her progression. Still feeding off the slow release 444 and is now regularly drinking about 2oz of water every other day. I also spritz the bottom of the outer cup to keep moisture levels high for stretching roots. She's about 36" from the light. Hoping to get a little stretch to make training easier. Added a couple new pics to get the week caught up. Stay tuned, week 3 starts training.

This week has been good, no problems to say of. No changes to the light schedule or nutrients. I do have a Lemon Pie Auto doing something strange stuff it is @ 51 days old and is giving off some mutations in the fan leafs, and she stretched to double the height of the other 2 in the tent. Also has begun to develop a few small brown spots on a couple fans too but other than that all is well.

The week went very well. Yesterday I removed the excess awnings so that more light could reach the lower shoots and kept the lamps at a distance of 60cm with 40 percent light output. I'll start flowering on Sunday! Great genetics so far, no growth stop after pruning, zero stress signs, I'm very happy with Purple City Genetics so far 😘😊 Have a nice week everyone 👾

SATURDAY: Today I mixed up 5g of nutes for my bloomers and douched them. I'll let them dry completely for 2-3 days, then flush them a bit with a little boomerang and calmag. I ordered a Gorilla lite-Line High CFM kit last week and received it today...fits my tent poles perfectly. This really works to keep the tent walls from collapsing in too far, and I was able to use one pole to rig a shelf to put the fan. That freed up a good bit more floor space. Yesterday, I ordered a 4 x 4 Vivosun tent and inline fan, and a 1500w (5 x 300w COBs)..this tent will be for vegging autos to put into the flowering tent as others are harvested, as well as a place to veg photos that I encounter before they are moved outdoors. I'll probably end up ordering another of the same lights, but for now I have a few supplemental lights I can use...blues and daylights. I'll drop a few WW's or CC's as soon as that stuff arrives so they are big enough to occupy flowering tent space in a few weeks. SUNDAY: I spun everybody around and misted with spring water a couple times throughout the day and formulated my plan for ventilation of the new tent which should be here Tuesday. I plan to hook the exhaust from my 4' x 5' tent as fresh air intake in the top of my 4' x 4'. By doing so, all that good CO2 that is exhausted from the flowering tent will rain down over the veg tent inhabitants before being exhausted from the bottom of the tent. I don't think heat will be a problem in the new tent with so much less light, so I'm optimistic that it will work just fine. I may even route the exhausted veg tent air back into the bottom of the flower tent, giving the girls another shot at the CO2 enriched air....we'll see... MONDAY: Got the room ready for the new tent which will arrive tomorrow, misted, rearranged, and whispered sweet nothings to all the girls. Tried out my new macro lens...need practice.. TUESDAY: Mixed up 7.5 gallons of nutes for the bloomers...ceased open sesame and began beastie bloomz. Assembled my new 4' x 4' Vivosun tent and set up its ventilation and lights. I implemented my idea of exhausting the semi-cool/CO2-rich air from my flowering tent into the top of the veg tent. Only needed 5' of flex duct, so it's got great airflow..no need for another intake fan...yay! Tomorrow I'll get the 6" x 6" x 6" 'Y' duct and connect my 6" booster fan to it. The booster fan will still be sticking into the flower tent, drawing 70 degree a/c air into the tent via direct flex duct connection, but will now be mixed with the exhausted air from the veg tent. I'm probably gonna keep the ventilation in both tents running once I've got a fully closed-loop system. The only reason I was shutting down the ventilation was so that CO2 would build up for 4 hours, but even if it gets exhausted from the flower tent, whatever the veg tent inhabitants don't consume will find it's way back to the flower tent in under a minute...and so on, and so on.. I spent a while putting together a lighting schedule that will allow me to decrease temperatures while still keeping optimal color spectrums and maintaining good light intensity. Had to empty the tent so I could get to everything...what a pain! --------------------------------------------------- FLOWERING TENT Timer #1 --- exhaust, intake (digital timer) on - 6:15am off - 2:15am Timer #2 -- primary blurple light (manual timer) on - 6:30am off - 10:30am on - 11:30am off - 3:30pm on - 4:30pm off - 6:00pm on - 6:30pm off - 8:30pm on - 9:30pm off - 2:00am Timer #3 -- all 4 daylight cobs (manual timer + power strip) on - 6:00am off - 12:00pm on - 12:30pm off - 6:00pm on - 6:30pm off - 2:00am Timer #4 -- all 4 overhead reds, sub-canopy tubes, side strip lights (manual timer + power strip) on - 1:00am off - 6:30am on - 10:30am off - 11:30am on - 3:30pm off - 4:30pm on - 8:30pm off - 9:30pm Timer #5 -- all 4 miracle LED (flowering) in corners, corner, daylight supplemental (manual timer + power strip) on - 6:00am off - 10:30am on - 11:30am off - 3:30pm on - 4:30pm off - 8:30pm on - 9:30pm off - 2:00am ---------------------------------------------- VEGETATIVE TENT Timer #1 --- primary light and exhaust (manual timer + 3-way splitter) on - 6:00am off - 2:00am Timer #2 --- blue supplementals (manual timer + power strip) on - 2:00am off - 6:00am on - 10:00am off - 2:00pm on - 4:00pm off - 8:00pm Watching temps closely.... ------------------------------------------ WEDNESDAY: My new lighting schedule seems to be working..high was 87 today, and it dropped into the upper 70's last night...schweet! I'm pretty confident that when I get my ducting in on Friday and have the closed-loop ventilation for the two tents completed, that it will drop the temp even further and I'll not be wasting so much precious CO2...and then I can ADD MORE LIGHTS and begin with renewed heat mitigation efforts!!! I'm really wanting to pump up the deep reds and maybe far reds during their 4-hour "nighttime" ...maybe more low-wattage sub-canopy tube lights, too. I guess that the girls really loved the Beastie Bloomz...much fattening happening... It was so nice being able to move Kushpialidocious into the new veg tent...more space, better canopy penetration. THURSDAY: Spun everybody around and misted with spring water..soil still moist. Temps held pretty much...86-87 all day..i changed the overhead light timer a bit so it kicks on a half hour earlier and as a result temp climbed to 89-90 for about 15 minutes, but quickly dropped to 85 when the 4 COBs turned off... when the big blurple and 4 miracle leds in the corners ( + the extra 40w daylight supplemental in my darkest corner) turned off 15 minutes later, it quickly dropped to 79.....15 minutes later...74...15 minutes later...72!!! "By Jove, I think he's got it!" I might actually be able to harvest these fuckers with all terpenes intact.👍 On second thought.😎..I'm gonna dial back the reds a half hour again (and maybe the 4 COBs), because I'm going to try switching out the 40w Sansi bulb for my extra 100w Bridgelux/Epistar 3500k COB light. (MORE POWER!) I really don't think it gets very much, if any, hotter than the Sansi 40w. I'm really hoping to keep it below 90 at all times and as close to 70 as possible at night (red zone).. new temperature test will be tomorrow. It will also be the first run with the closed-loop ventilation system in place...all ventilation will remain on at all times in both tents, and based on my rudimentary calculations, my 2 x 6" inline fans and the 6" duct booster can move enough air to circulate through both tents about 240 times per hour. I figured that like this: The 3 fans move 1,010 cfm. The two grow spaces total 252 cu ft (4 x 5 and 4 x 4) There is just over 12 feet of ducting involved in the loop, which is about 6 additional cubic feet. Correct me if I'm wrong...I'm not an HVAC guy.. The A/C kicks on, on average, every 12 minutes, so there will be a regular supply of cool fresh air injected into the mix as well. My hopes are high! (and so am I) One other interesting thing is that the addition of the 4-5 gallons of frozen water in jugs makes the substrate temp stay in the lower 70's all day long..I'm hoping the roots at least get the signal that "Winter is coming." FRIDAY: Well, shit. My closed-loop ventilation system didn't work quite right...evidently, I should have studied up on calculus. Rather than the negative pressure in both tents that I expected, both tents swole up like they were snakebit..(positive pressure?)..and temperatures in both tents started to rise...no pinche bueno. I'm sure it's my math that's off..., for example, I didn't account for the fact that the flowering tent has a carbon filter which decreases the cfm's considerably, and the intermittent flow of central air is a variable that I am also uncertain how to factor. So....I scrapped the idea until I can achieve truly equivalent intake and exhaust in both tents. HOWEVER...I did discover a trick that I will dub a "heat siphon," which is a definite improvement, but only in the veg tent. When I disconnected the flex duct from the 6" inline fan(exhaust) in the veg tent, I had intended to stub it off for now. I noticed that there was considerable "back-flow" caused by the duct booster intake fan in the flowering tent. So, the duct booster draws air from the a/c register, AND from duct which I've placed in the veg tent immediately above the light. I moved the 6" inline fan in the veg tent to to top of the tent and connected a 3' piece of duct to it that is also placed immediately above the one side of the light, so heat from the veg light is ejected into the room and partially drawn into the flower tent where it is mixed with cool a/c air, carbon scrubbed, and sent to the veg tent raining the unused CO2 down over them at about 85 degrees, which is considerably cooler than the normal tent temp. It's still not perfect.. Because the flowering tent is absorbing some of the heat drawn of the veg tent light, I'm up 3-4 degrees on average in the flowering tent, which is not what I was hoping for at all...it's now hitting 92 degrees in the flowering tent at some points during the day, and hovering at 79-80 at night, so I'm gonna have to revise the lighting schedule again..

This is a funny story. This strain M8 came from an AUTO M8 package and I didn't realice that until she was like 2 months, that's when I started to force flower with my other Photoperiods because I was seeing that it wasn't normal to see an autoflowers without any signs of flower. The aroma it's just super pure and sweet it's been such a big surprise. I really have fallen in love with this strain, the only thing that makes me sad is that she's not gonna give me too much of those amazing sweet like candy flowers. She's been 100% organically and probiotically grown. With Florians Organic living soil and Silicium flash by biotabs which contains bug shit between as well as aminoacids and natural npk. My soil is very rich in life, every time I water I can see the soil just bubbling man. It's been a beautiful surprise to grow this strain. Very nice discover. Thank you everybody hope you enjoy the journey! ✌️💚👨‍🌾🌱

Hey GrowDiaries! What a week it’s been! My plant’s growth has been off the charts, reaching an impressive height of 96 centimeters. 🌿📏 Here’s the scoop: Burst of Growth: This plant's not just growing; it's soaring! Reached a towering 96cm in height. Feels like it's reaching for the stars! Bloom Phase Nutrition: Still on track with the bloom-specific nutrition. It’s all about giving the plant exactly what it needs during this crucial phase. Telegram Bot Tweaks: I’ve upgraded my trusty Telegram bot. Squashed some bugs and made it even smarter. Now, it shows the status of the automated watering system along with the usual temperature, humidity, and other vital stats. Alert Threshold Adjustments: I’ve customized the alert thresholds to match the plant’s current phase. If, for instance, the temperature spikes, I get a notification. Staying one step ahead! A Problem-Free Week: Overall, the week went super smooth, and the plant looks absolutely fabulous. It's thriving, and I couldn’t be happier. And a short update on my plans for next week. I'm gearing up for some tech tweaks in my green haven. 🌿🔧 Here's what's on the agenda: Calibrating the Soil Moisture Sensor: Next week, I'm planning to calibrate my soil moisture sensor. It’s a nifty piece of tech that uses capacitive technology. So, how does it work? These sensors measure the water content in the soil based on the electrical capacitance. Basically, the more water in the soil, the higher the capacitance. It’s like a mini superpower for understanding soil moisture! Dealing with Environmental Factors: The catch is, the sensor's readings can be influenced by temperature and air humidity. I plan to make some smart corrections to minimize these effects. The goal? To get super accurate moisture readings, unaffected by external conditions. It’s all about precision! With these tweaks, I'm aiming for a perfect balance in my plant's environment. Fingers crossed for a week of tech triumphs and happy plants! That’s all for now, GD. Can't wait to see what the next week has in store for us! 🚀🌺

36 to 42 Tuesday Day 36 Been seeing pistils about 4 days now. Going to let the autopots drain out and start quarter bloom nutes. D37 Started 1/4 nutes @ 680ppm (see above) D38 Lights from 450w to 475w at 16-20". VPD on point. Just keeping canopy even right now. Supercroping the main stem for the third time. Feels like plant abuse now. D39 They are thirsty. Will start filling the res more with more water. Lowered GROW from 100% to 50% Increased BLOOM from 25% to 50% Increased mix from 680ppm to 720ppm mid week. All other ratios remain the same as above. Solo Cup seeing slight burn @ 680ppm. I was expecting it. Dropping down to ~550 for a bit. D40 Lights increased from 475w to 500w. Will most likely move the fixture closer and drop the wattage back down with that uniform coverage!!! #geekbeast D42 Res is empty again. Decreased GROW from 50% to 25% strength Increased BLOOM, ASTRO and N.CANDY from 25% to 50% 720ppm Happy Halloween!!

Hey! Just back well They are getting better and better soon need to start to flower them. Fertilization happens 3x a week with the mixture of Biobizz family (Biobloom, Topmax, BioGrow, Epsom salt, Gunokalong extract.) They grow as hell. 600W LED, 18 hours on 6 hours off, 200 ml water per plant a day, humidity approx 35 percent. Day 53: They are bushy keep doing LST on them. Day 56: I constantly do LST for them and also some lollipopping so I removed the bottom unwanted leaves especially the yellow ones. From tomorrow I provide darkness for 2 days and then Monday the beggining of the 9th week I will switch to 12/12.

Just germinated the 3 OG Kush seeds, only one had a tap root. Decided to soak my White Widow just in case only one OG plant makes it. 6 plants in total (if the other 2 OG makes it)
