Got hit by a severe heatwave this week! Temps reached 104 in the grow tent even with the lights off and fans at full blast. Threw some ice in front of a fan to help but it was not enough. Also doesn't help I went one day over when I would normally water them. First day of reasonable weather today. Plants seemed sad and droopy for a day, luckily after feeding they perked right back up. Defoliated slightly this week. Will definitely NEED air conditioning moving forward. Aside from that, the odor these two are creating is already mesmerizing. Best I can describe the smell so far is, a mixture of sweet pineyness with a light pungent funky undertone. Can't wait to switch to flower in a few days! Going to be flushing both plants this Sunday 05/31.

Week 9(63 days)

Everything is going good. Some are showing some sort of deficiency . Lowered lights a little bit. Going to start watering every other day. One of the critical thunder autos is like 8 inches tall lol definitely breeding her.

Everything got a lot more darker and golden with temp drop technique i show earlier and water temp 60f and flushing too soon to harvest I’ll show next time how the buds look

Hello Growmies, We’re at week 15, and our Epic Buzz is showing some serious gains. The plant has been swelling so much that it's barely managing to hold itself up. An inspection reveals a coat of trichomes adorning the surface, with calyxes continuing to expand noticeably. It's as if each day brings a new level of plumpness to the buds, pushing the boundaries of what seemed possible just a week ago. From the images, we can observe the heavy load the stems are carrying. The top colas are thriving with density, their surfaces a landscape of rich, sticky trichomes, the kind that promise potency and depth. While the overall structure of the plant leans heavily, a testament to the weight it bears, there's an elegance to this droop, speaking to the fullness it's achieving. In terms of care, there's a significant change in our approach – no more PK 13/14. We've seen the best of what it can do, and now it's time to let pure, reverse osmosis water do the talking. This shift will ensure that we're not overloading the plant with nutrients and will help us to start the flushing process gently, easing into the final stages of flowering. The result of this can be seen in the leaves that are starting to yellow, a natural progression indicating that the plant is consuming the last of its nutrient reserves. Meanwhile, the roots, those unseen heroes, continue to draw up the necessary sustenance, fuelling this impressive final push. We’re now on the precipice of full maturity, where each day counts double. I'm keeping a close eye, ensuring the reservoir stays topped up every few days to keep her hydrated without causing undue stress. As we approach harvest, it's a balancing act of watchfulness and patience. The once-dominant aroma now fills the space with a subtler, sweeter scent – a prelude to the bounty that awaits. Welcome to the Week 9 update for the Sweet Seeds Cream Mandarine XL Auto’s. This was an eventful week of the grow as I finally gave up on the first two plants suffering with the majority of the powdery mildew. Instead of wiping a single spot off of a leaf it had progressed to wiping multiple spots off of the majority of leaves. It was becoming super time consuming just trying to keep up with not further contaminating the tent. So after fighting the good fight but realizing it was now a losing battle- I decided to harvest the two smallest plants. They were pulled from the tent right at the end of Week 9 and placed in my garage for 3-5 days before they were actually chopped and trimmed in Week 10. My garage is not heated and the temperatures have been around 0-5 degrees celsius so both plants had some time to “chill out" before harvest. Not only did they reek stronger than ever but also seemed to produce additional resin after being exposed to the cold for a few days. I chose not to weigh the wet trimmed bud as it hasn’t amounted to much but after drying for 7-10 days it’s working out to be approximately 1 mason jar of nuggets per plant. I will provide final weights and better pictures of the bud in my final harvest update. Nothing much has changed for the remaining two plants except for drinking a little less water and the humidity has slowly been decreasing as Canada moves into winter. Day 49 - 14th Day of Flower I'm starting to really enjoy this part of the grow. That said the amount they have stretched is crazy! My lights are maxed out height wise and they are only just 18" above the tallest colas so I really hope they finish up stretching soon. Nutes: I added PK13/14 for fridays feed and they seem to have responded really well to it. They have been fed every other day as they aren't quite drying up in 24 hours. One thing I have noticed this week is the smell! They have become incredibly pungent. Everytime i go in the tent I have to change my clothes as they just smell so much. The fan leaves around the bud sites are becoming sticky! I have taken the smallest one out to photograph this week. It was sick when i got it as cutting so wasn't topped as early as the others. That said it seems to have grown into a really nice shape and has lots of buds developing. No problems really this week. Just a bit of mild light burn which I kept on top of. They will have 1 more defoliation this week and then I'll leave them be.

Day 60F The PM on the cheese has gotten significantly worse in the last few days. I think it may have something to do with the constant humidity spikes every time I water. I haven’t been running my humidifier at all in flower so maybe it’s having trouble keeping the RH up during lights on. Just another reason to follow a daily watering schedule. The cheese and slurricane look fucking disgusting and I’m starting to doubt that a peroxide wash can totally fix it. It worked well for my outdoor crop so it should be fine but this time there is probably 3x the amount. I’ll make sure to really soak the buds and rinse them off good. Bbb#1 is flopping over like crazy from the weight. Too late to stake it up now so hopefully it holds until next week. Starting to foxtail a bit but nothing too bad. It is now 100% done and ready for chop. Bbb#2 is just getting frostier and frostier by the day. The purple fade is really coming along nicely too. Might reveg. It is now 100% done and ready for harvest. Black garlic #1 is finally filling out! I can’t believe it. Never heard of a plant packing weight on like that in week 8. The breeder did mention that it packs on weight later but I’m stunned. Taking her to 9.5 weeks. Black garlic #2 is looking very average. Average color, average size buds, average frost, average smell, probably an average yield. And it’s starting to get a bit of PM. Overall not happy. Will be taking her to 9.5 weeks. Zkittlez #1 has pleasantly surprised me. It was a bushy runt in veg but came through. It’s the third frostiest in the tent, super dense, stacked tight, smells great and looks great. It’s already got a nice amount of amber so it’s 100% ready for chop. Slurricane #4 looks insanely frosty even under all that PM. If I can’t wash it off it’s going in the trash. I want to chop this asap but have to cut everything at once unfortunately. It’s 100% ready for harvest. Badazz OG cheese is looking like a decent yielder but doesn’t have much else going for it. I think it still has some filling out to do. I can’t even smell the final profile change yet. The leaves are rotting off very quickly. Taking her 9.5 weeks. I don’t mind harvesting a bit later rather than early. From my outdoor experience, when a plant is picked early it smells like hay and wet grass clippings until it’s been curing for 3 weeks. When I harvest late or at 30-50% amber trichomes it smells like same scent profile it had when growing. Just my experience. I’ve read that the tobacco industry adds calcium and potassium carbonate to their crops to help promote fire holding capacity and to increase the whiteness of ash. Turns out some of the organic amendments I bought last week contain exactly that. I’m going to give each plant a light top dress to see if the tobacco industry is onto something.

Frohes neues! 🎆 Nach einer Woche Abwesenheit, kam ich heute zu diesen ganzschönen dichten Büschen und bereits etwas entwickelten Buds zurück, die Bewässerung lief top. Allerdings ist mir ein Tripsbefall direkt ins Auge gesprungen, unübersehbar... Entsprechend habe ich dannach begonnen zu defolieren, wir haben Tag 20 der Blüte. Vorallem bei der GSC extrem, da von ihr der Befall ausging. Raubmilden habe ich mir heute bestellt und ich hoffe, mit der starken Entlaubung, die drei noch gut durch die Blüte zubekommen.

Week 5 flower going well. Nothing much to report. Increased the drip as she is taking in more water. Turned up the fans to 100% for maximum flow, and due to that, the tent got a bit warmer and a bit dryer, so the exhaust fan and humidifier are working a bit harder. 75-77 deg F, 50-60% RH. Not sure if the lights are to intense or if it’s purple coming through, but at the highest tops there seems to be a bit of discolouration on the newest growth, just at the tips of the new buds. But I’m looking really close and it may be purple, not brown. I’ll keep an eye on it and turn the lights down if symptoms worsen. This plant is growing strong and uniform. Average frost so far. Hopefully she keeps growing well until the end. Thanks for the views…keep calm and grow on!

But fear not, for challenges are merely opportunities in disguise! 🌱🚀 Currently, three of my plants are still looking a bit droopy, a consequence of my underfeeding mishap. 😔 However, I've taken decisive action to rectify the situation. I've increased their water intake from 0.5 liters each to a generous 1 liter each, provided every two days. Hydration is key! 💧💦 Let's talk environmental conditions. The temperature within the grow space ranges between 20°C and 22°C, maintaining a comfortable and optimal range for our leafy companions. The humidity levels hover around 60% to 68%, thanks to the diligent work of my trusty dehumidifier. Kudos to technology! 🌡️💨💨 In light of the recent droopiness, I've temporarily adjusted the LED power to 75%. It's a careful balancing act to ensure the plants receive the right amount of light without overwhelming them. We're all about finding that sweet spot! 💡🌿✨ Interestingly, I've noticed a similar issue with droopiness during my previous grow with sour stompers. Could it be a recurring pattern? 🤔 Moreover, upon activating the dehumidifier, I made an intriguing discovery. The CO2 levels have soared over 900ppm! It seems I've stumbled upon an unexpected correlation. I'll certainly be investigating this further to unravel the mystery. Another weak closer!! Got some burn on one plant probably last nutrients I give her. The leaf spot is back slowly hopefully won't affect outcome worse than it already has. Other than that buds coming along. Girl of the week is the afghan skunk #4. Huuuge buds forming!! Can't wait to see the end of that one, it came outta no where too!!
