4202024 or backwards, it’s 4202024. I’m sure there will be other palindromic dates in future, but this is the one and only stoner palindrome date that can happen in our lifetimes. Thanks to Seedsman for the idea of a 420 grow-off and the chance to try some of the latest and greatest. Anyway, started some Blueberry Pie F1 Fast seeds from Seedsman today. Very promising sounding genetics, and I’m very keen to see how she goes. Hopefully we won’t get as much wildfire smoke as we did last year. The plan for this plant is a 16 cola manifold with force flowering (12 h darkness) starting in late July for a couple of weeks. Starting in a glass of water on a heat mat at 25 C. Kept in dark using foil. I’ve decided to avoid plastic for the seed starting. Also, based on a science paper I saw this winter, I’m leaving a ripe apple in the dark with the seeds. Apparently the ethylene gas helps, but only in the dark before light is applied. Tried it with tomato and pepper plants and seems to work. First time trying with my cannabis seeds. Will add the reference to the paper some day. Apr 22: moved into soil. Starting three seeds but I only have room for one plant. Will adopt out the other two. Apr 25: removed foil cover (and apple) and set the plants beside the light that is going for tomatoes and peppers. The seedlings need minimal light at this stage so taking it easy. Happy palindromic 4202024. To help celebrate I’m starting a couple of Euphoria seeds and making the first diary entry of the season. This year i’m doing two photoperiod plants, starting today, and two autos that I’ll start in mid-May. Apr 22: moved into soil after about 48 h in 25 C water in the dark. Have a ripe apple beside the seeds under the foil because apparently the ethylene gas that is given off helps. Science paper I happened across last winter - will post reference when I remember. Apr 25: removed foil (and apple) and left on a 25 C heat mat beside a light that is going for tomatoes and peppers. Weak light, warmth, and high humidity is what they need at this stage.

We got to a point where we were 50% amber pistils but then both plants sprouted a load of new ones so hoping for another week of bulking up! We have a few more milky looking trichomes too. I’m hoping they’ll be partially done in the next couple of weeks. Inspected all the buds and I’m pretty sure I’m gonna have to harvest in 2 or 3 steps and give the lower buds a bit more time to ripen up. I don’t know what I’ve done to piss her off so much but purple skunk is now covered in brown spots on quite a lot of leaves. I dosed her up with some calmag and since then I’ve switched to water only. I’ve noticed she’s slowed down drinking isn’t taking as much as sticky orange now. Chopped more yellowing leaves from around the bottom. Hoping this is another sign they’re coming towards the end. My patience got the better of me this week and I chopped a little bud off sticky orange to try. I haven’t smoked for months and even though they’re not there yet it almost sent me straight to sleep. So very excited to try the finished product! See you in week 12!

Hola a todos 🙌 completando la quinta semana. Conseguí aumentar la dosis de fertilizantes, es nítido en el crecimiento de las ramificaciones. La sexta semana será la última de vegetativo para comenzar la floración. Está comenzando a oler bastante, se siente en todo mi cuarto. Actualmente invirtiendo en una manera de disminuir el olor. Esta semana hubo demasiadas variaciones de temperatura y humedad, me parece que la afectaron un poco pero ella continúa creciendo fuerte. Buenos humos 🍃 happy growing

I was late on giving them their next feeding. I didn’t wanna do it too early because of impatience but I should’ve listened to the plants. Added 1tsp (5ml) of uprising foundation for some cal mag. Other than that, just watering. I’ve been boiling water, a day or so in advance to get rid of chlorine and anything else I can.

Defoliated and flipped to 12/12 Slight stretch. Plants didn’t like that I only gave them half veg nutes and half bloom. They look nitrogen deficient. They’ve also shown some calcium deficiency i believe. The uprising foundation is cal mag and sulfur mostly I believe. So it’s good to have
