Welcome back to our Gary Payton grow diary!
Week 5 has been a significant week for our Gary Payton plants, marked by their much-needed transplant and some advanced growing techniques to ensure their continued health and robust growth.
Week 5 Highlights:
The plants have been successfully transplanted into their 12.5L permanent homes. During the transplant process, we treated the roots with Great White powder to enhance root development and protect against transplant shock. All the stems have been supercropped from the soil up and buried deeper in the soil. This technique promotes an even stronger base for growth in the future, ensuring the plants can support themselves as they mature. This time around, we have used Frux soil for the transplant. Despite the initial change being due to availability, we've come to appreciate its excellent drainage properties, which are beneficial for the plants' growth. We've introduced a tailored nutrient schedule to support vegetative growth, including Sugar Royal, Plagron Alga Grow, and Great White. These nutrients are essential for maintaining the plants' health and vigor. The plants have adapted well to their new environment, showing no signs of transplant shock. The vibrant green color of the leaves and the sturdy stems indicate their health and readiness for the next growth phase. The application of Great White powder has encouraged vigorous root growth, helping the plants establish quickly in their new pots. This time, we have decided not to top the plants and instead let them grow to their full size. This experiment aims to see the potential of full-sized plants and observe their growth patterns and yields.
Upcoming Plans:
We will maintain the introduced nutrient schedule with Sugar Royal, Plagron Alga Grow, and Great White to support vegetative growth. Regular monitoring of environmental conditions and plant health will continue. The TrolMaster-controlled 4x4 tent remains essential for providing an optimal growing environment.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this exciting journey with our Gary Payton plants.
Stay lifted,
Salokin
