04/01/2023 - 56 days since my little girl sprouted from a seed Third week of bloom for my NYC Diesel 🍋🍊 Nutrients: Jungle Indabox - the girl responded well to the change in nutrients, so I continue to feed the same as last week when I adjusted the nutrients for flowering Jungle Environ X - bud stimulators 🌼 Bud Candy - bud stimulators 🌼 Atami - ATA Calmag - it is recommended to use Calmag when growing under LED lights I stopped the Hesi Root Complex - no longer recommended this week Training: LST: just a slight LST, I attached some small twigs with string to let more light shine on them 💡💡 Defoliation: I did more defoliation so that the leaves do not shade the already forming buds and the plant can breathe freely - this was necessary for NYC Diesel, it was very leafy 🍃🍃 Light: Mars Hydro TS1000, the girls are doing amazing under this great light, I can see a big difference compared to my past results 💡💡💓 In general: The girl is very strong, she has a strong stem - trunk, that is the basis for a proper plant 🌴. As the only girl in the tent, it's not a sativa, but a hybrid, which is fine with me, so the girl isn't as high as the others. Buds are already forming at the ends of the twigs 🌸 and there are many branches 🌾. It resembles a small dense bush. 11-1-2025 she is looking great 1 day pass schedule harvest date. Im push her until a sign to show and tell cut her down beautiful out. It was pretty difficult getting the video with the trichome. Holding the jewelry loop on the back of the phone, being steady ✨️ 👌 takes work

Late update, ran into some issues with the roots but the end product is still decent. Will make some tweaks next time, the problem was my transplant. I didn’t put the plants down deep enough and the soil was compacted to add. Plants start tipping over and nearly derooted when buds got heavier. Also was using too much nutes, will be switching to coco. Don’t think I used too much, soil just retained a lot of the nutes and water. Hoping coco will solve that issue for me.

Good week , no issues to report. The Gelato glue are almost there. Starting to see a few amber ones & 90% 9f the rest are cloudy. The 5gallon are fatter & a bit more advanced than the 7gallon one. The Gelato are bigger but are a few weeks behind. The plastic pot stayed wetter and is more leafy than the fabric one. Still to early to say which will produce more or better buds

The girls are doing great. I decided to eliminate Bloom Part A from their schedule to start reducing N slightly. From now on, I will also give Overdrive to Cheese and Gorilla; Skunk has already been receiving it since last week. I started flushing Pineapple, as it is definitely the closest to harvest.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. This week buds are super dense and getting frosty by the day. Starting to wish I made the best use of space as some of the lower canopy not recieving as much light. A little difficult to reach all plants. Arimq is very strong and citusy , pungent & fruity.

Pretty much the same week as last... Just more rain showers... Temperature stayed the same and humidity increased...☀️⛈️🍀💪🌱

I'm still feeling like a lazy grower with the Minigrow One doing all the LST 😅. The growlights make sure the plant stays naturally short and bushy. There's not much work to do but make sure she's hydrated. I may have to defoliate one of these days but that's about it. No buds showing just yet, let's see if they develop in the coming days!

Auto Opium is growing good. I lollipopped the canopy, and did some selective defoliation today I did a solution change on her about 4 days ago. Everything is looking on track. I am sure she will do some stretching this next week. Vegetative Week 6 – Pineapple Upside Down (Round 2) This week confirms a full recovery in vegetative growth. The plant clearly regained vigor and momentum. Growth is strong, foliage is dense, and overall structure looks healthy. Internodal spacing is noticeably tight, resulting in a very compact and bushy plant. This could be influenced by the full-spectrum lighting, which appears to promote dense vegetative development. Although topping or defoliation was considered, no structural work was done this week. The priority is to let the plant continue growing naturally and fully stabilize before any training or shaping. Nutrition remains unchanged from the previous week. The nutrient solution is maintained around EC 1.4–1.5, with pH close to 6.0. The plant is responding well, showing no signs of deficiency or stress. While some time was lost earlier in the cycle due to initial issues, the delay is clearly less significant than in the previous run. Progress has improved, and this recovery phase highlights areas to refine in future germination and early-stage management. This week ends on a positive note. The plant looks healthy again, and the focus moving forward is simply to let her grow and maintain consistency. See you next week. Take care. -Update: 04/02/26- •Structural work update: Today, a full structural intervention was carried out on the plant. Defoliation, topping, and pruning were all done in one session. The plant had become too bushy and overly dense, with poor airflow and excessive humidity trapped inside the canopy. To correct this, the structure was reset: four lateral branches were selected and kept, while the main apexes were topped to start defining the future shape of the plant. At this stage, the goal was not refinement but foundation. This intervention marks the beginning of the plant’s final structure, or at least the first clear step toward it. A significant amount of foliage was removed, leaving the plant with much less leaf mass than before. The work is now finished, and no further cutting is planned for the moment. From here, the plant will simply be left to recover from the stress of this heavy intervention. The focus now shifts to recovery, stability, and healthy regrowth.
