Another good week. Been trying to water with my mix a couple times a week. Otherwise I've been using the blumats. There has been twice though I overwatered with those and flooded slightly. Still trying to adjust them just right

10 September Harvest - see pictures. While some growers leave the plant whole when they cut, I do not. It is a personal preference and situational convenience if your a home grower. I chose to cut large, long branches, and remove any whole water leaves, as long as it doesn’t interfere with the bud formation. I don’t trim yet. This is done for a few of reasons: 1) It’s my last good close-up look at her until another 5 days or more, 2) I don’t want wet leaves drying on my buds if I can help it, and 3) I occasionally like being able to shine a small LED flashlight on the flowers while its drying. Mold is our greatest problem as growers, it can destroy a beautiful grow right up until the end process. Then I hang it in a dark closet, provide circulation and ventilation. Light and heat, anything above 80 degrees F, will start a break down in cannabinoids during the dry, it is ideal to stay away from both. I’m fortunate that a humidity level of 50- 55% and temperature of 65-70 degrees F is fairly consistent and easy to maintain. Anything below 60 degree F will prevent the adequate drying out of chlorophyll. Almost all my flower routinely take 5-7 days, some a little longer, to properly dry out. 15 September Trim - see pictures. First you’ll notice the buds have shrunk up to half their original size. This is just a fact that we growers have to deal with. Due to evaporation without uptake of water, it takes about 3 days for the chlorophyll to dry up, then slowly go through a chemical change. Along with the leaves, cannabinoids also begin a chemical change after 3 days called decarboxylation. A slow process where the THC level increases while curing. You want the leaf to be dry so they can be hand trimmed easily, but you do not want that bud so dry that it starts to fall apart in your hand. Try to handle carefully by the main stem to avoid touching the bud all together. A lot of these cut leaves will be covered with trichomes, good for making oils, or other products, it’s an option worth looking into keeping it. After trimming, I do separate a few premium flowers for my first smoq. Then loosely fill wide mouth quart mason jars with about 1 oz/28 gr of product per jar. I seal the lids for a few hours to determine what relative humidity they are at, see hygrometer pic, before making a decision to put in a 62% humidity control pack of my choice or to wait, then place in secure in a cool dark place with stable humidity and temperature. It is very important to then observe/burp or exchange the air as needed, up to several times a day, until 62% rh is achieved. Once your close to to your mark, put in your desired RH level control terpene shield. If you have a problem getting there: 1) it has dried out too much, no real solution, try to put several large cut stems left over from harvest into the jars with the buds to try and increase humidty, 2) it has not dried out enough, in this case no problem, just remove and dry out a little more. This is also a personal choice, some people like it drier in the 50% plus range. Whatever you do, research and preserve. At that time burping is no longer required. Cannabis will reach its peak potency potential at about 40 or so days into the cure. The finished product should be a perfect grind when cured correctly without clogging up your grinder, this could take a month. Now that I’ve said that, I’m sure someone has grown something that they have not been able to grind. It can remain in this state for an easy 6 months with little change, locking in all the terpenes and potencies. All you need to do is occasionally check the product to ensure there are no molds. If your grow/harvest/cure techniques are good this should not be an issue. It would not be uncommon to find many cannabis strains will last, with small degradable change, for up to one year after being stored this way. Using an airtight glass container, controlled relative humidity, maintained low temperature, and kept in darkness will equal maximum shelf life. Always avoid direct sunlight and temperatures above 80 degrees F. The reasons I’ve ultimately chosen Deep Water Culture as a grow medium. Each has their own pros and cons indeed. I found the most efficient, less maintenance and ideal solution for my situation was DWC. Burdens to overcome depend on size up set-up; initial equipment cost, size of containers, ph monitors, air pumps, type of water to use-reverse osmosis, RO cost/set-up/maintenance, ways to transfer/change water and nutrients, what nutrients to use and schedules, takes several grows to learn and understand, a 1 year learning curv, easy to nutrient burn. The Benefits of growing in water; no dirt, no bugs, no diseases, rare nutrient deficiencies/toxicities, steady and rapid growth that enables the plant to reach its genetic potential. After harvest, there is about a 1 hour equipment cleanup, sterilization and turn around process before replanting. Cannabis will perform in so many different ways and mediums, no one way is the best and the best way is the one you are using, right. Chose what works for you in the long run. There will always be an initial cost in set-up. My advice if one were in need to cut corners, I would not recommend cheap lights. This single factor is the most critical, afford for the best. The notion that organic and water has a different taste, flavor and potency effect is absolutely debatable. The more we learn the better we grow and experience is always the best teacher. This is what works for me and my methods of growing in general from beginning to end. A BIG “Thank You” to everyone who stopped by to take a look. I enjoy Auto strains simply by what can be achieved in a short time. No matter the strain they will unveil one thing in common, the demand for attention. Many times over it is the anecdotal gardener that surmount plant scientist. Last should I mention, do not forget to stop and enjoy the fruits of your labour...

After 12 weeks of flower this grow is FINALLY over It was a relatively easy grow as far as maintenance and feeding are concerned. Midway through the flowering cycle the smell became very loud and the buds were sticky and frosty. I would definitely grow this again especially since I have around 50 more seeds lol. I didn't add the wet weight of the plants because I never weight wet because it doesn't matter but I will post the dry weight for all of you when they're done drying.

Amnesia 1 created fat buttons unlike amnesia 2 one of the reasons was poor rooting.

Hello everybody week of fear 😅 The bad news is that I have hermies in my tent, the "good news" is there are only 2 plants out of a total of 8 ... unfortunately one of these is one from my 3 Lemon OG, the biggest and most beautiful of course Sprayed a lot of water to sterilize the pollen and chimped the bananas and sacs that i could see Turned off the ventilation and sprayed water daily and crossed my fingers 🤞 Apart from that everything is going well 😁🍌😅 Thank for stoppin by and keep it growing 🍀💪

😁😁😁 Hi grow mates 😁😁😁 As day 43 arrived we are opening 7th week of my grow journey. Like you can see from the photos girls started to blooms wildly. Purple Lemonade is getting absolutely purple, flowers gets density and aroma. Cinderella !! Wow !! Here is an interesting one. She is huge, I never had so many flowers sites on one plant. She's tall girl 118 cm !! Bruce Banner, she is a real mystery. She started to blooms like all her sisters, but looks a little shy. I think she need just more time. From previous experiences, I know that the "shy" ones gave best results. Fingers crossed 🤞 Day 44 Purple Lemonade 81 cm Original Cinderella 118 cm !! End of week 2 in flowering (day 57 from sprout) and things go well. Made some defoliation and tied up some last stems to keep the plants in the center of the tent lower in hight than the the plants in the edges. I didn't add any fertilizer this week and generally i don't feed often even if my grow is organic. Addititives in the soil before transpalant do the trick. Most of these strains need light to moderate feeding especially in Nitrogen.

Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. This update was made Day 58 from seed. I just now realized I've had my day count offset by about 2-3 days. No biggie, at least it's been rectified. Anyways, onto the update. Beautiful deep purple tones have begun peeking throughout the plant. Similar to my lemon berry but with more of a magenta hue. Feedings have been rather frequent. 2-3 nute feedings last week. With XSD. For the rest of the grow, XSD will be omitted. Just molasses and Liquid Seaweed from here on out. Absolutely love the development of this photo period variety. I'll probably give this strain a rest for the next journal, however. Still need to spread my wings with Ethos' catalogue.

Welcome everyone Week n°4 ended for these three phenos of SORBET#4 🌿🌿🌿🍧 Like you have probably see in the video, a few days ago i have made a one topping, on the central stem, for increase the power of the lower branches exposing them to a better lights conditions.. I have also cut two or three leafs, not too much for now, just for increase the airflow and also again for a higher lights exposure of the lowers parts✂️ 🍃 About the lights 💡 Doing that, i have increase the potency of my two Mars-Hydro SP3000, from 25% to 50% ⬆️ The two led panel are connected with a cable and i have only to adjuste the dimmer of one of them for change the intensity of each one, in just one move.. Pretty useful 💯 In the middle of the week i have switch from 18/6 on/off to 16/8 on/off.. Always tryed to mimic the natural cycle of the sun light, works good to me 👌 Anyway.. About nutrients 👇 In this week i have giving their always organic/veganic nutrients.. A little bit of silicium (Bionova) / Activator (Biomagno) / Crescita (Biomagno) / Activera (Biobizz) / Grow vegan (Bionova) / The Missing Link (Bionova) / X-Cell (Bionova) and a little bit of P-K 3-5 (Bionova) {This last one i have used in a foliar spray solution} Like i usually do, a little bit of everything at any watering 💧 And that's all.. I've let our girl blue grow for an extra week and I think our base is looking really strong. It's time for topping to creat the base of our manifold. To do this were going to use he Nebula's Manifold technique by Nubula Haze from GrowWeedEasy.com. I'm in no way affiliated with the site or Mrs. Haze but I have found her website to be a great place to start my cannabis growing journey. I've done so much more research now but it did start for me back in 2020 at GrowWeedEasy.com Anyway I've got some video that will explain the method as I top the plant but basically what we're going to top down to the 3rd node and then clean all the extra growth off. This should leave only two growth tips and their fan leaves. Check out the photos and videos for more details. Feeding and light schedules continue as normal.
