Week 9 and everything is going well. Even though the weather hasn't been very sunny and we've mostly had cloudy days and plenty of rain, our beauty keeps growing. The trichomes have started turning cloudy, and we can already see some amber ones appearing. We're going to wait until about 50% of them are amber before harvesting. We picked a small bud to dry and test at this stage so we can compare the effect, and then we'll try it again when the plant reaches around 50% amber trichomes. The finish line is getting closer! 🌱💚

Welcome to the Week 10, Day 70 update for the Sweet Seeds Cream Mandarine XL Autoflowering grow. Not much to talk about this week as the last two plants remaining in the tent are on cruise control to harvest. I used fertilizer for the final time at the beginning of Week 10 and it’s flush time for these plants until the big chop! They are still being watered every 4th day and they are still drinking about 3.5 litres per plant per watering (0.875 of a litre per plant per day). These remaining two plants have virtually no Powdery Mildew so I am only defoliating as needed if the leaf is already dying. All of the pistols/hairs have turned orange and are receding back into the buds so I’m guessing that harvest will be in Week 11. I have included a brief video above with my photos showing pretty much everything used during this grow. I wanted to give people a quick look at how simple it really is to grow and harvest your own high quality cannabis. Hope you enjoy! I will post next time with my final harvest update- this might take a short while as I generally prefer to know the final dry bud weight as well as having some great photos of the dry, uncured product. The Moby Dick still shows that parchment like leaf structure with bleached marblings. considering that aside, she is pumping the most among them all. May be simple genetics but it is alarmingly dry at the touch despite the high humidity and care.

Strain was easy to grow. Had some herms but since I only have 2 plants I was able to pinch the balls off. Buds have no seeds and are a strong smoke. Really hits the lungs.

Week 9 Flower A short week as she was taken down on Day 61 flower. In the end, she produced nice and fat buds allround. She's faded very well, with most of her fans leaves being plucked off as they died. I do this to prevent any mould or anything while she finishes off. All of her buds are dense and coated in trichomes. She's a super sweet smelling girl that I just can't wait to try! Harvest update coming asap! Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺

19/07/20 (Sunday) 7AM - Set 4 seeds to germinate in cups of water (Trinidad and Tobago, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Jamaica, Columbia) 7PM - St. Vincent and the Grenadines seed shows taproot 9PM - Trinidad and Tobago seed shows taproot 10PM - Seed from Jamaica shows taproot 11PM - Set the 3 germinated seeds into individual half gallon pots filled with promix. 20/07/20 11AM - SVG seed rises to the soil level 8PM - Jamaican follows suit 11PM - TT also exposes itself 21/07/20 The weather and forecast for the week show scattered showers and the seedlings are showing early signs of stretching so I decide to build a makeshift grow tent to supplement their light cycle while bringing them outside for a minimum of 4 hours every day to acclimate them. I decided on a 75W output LED bulb with a temperature of 6500K and 1055 lumens while using my room fan to simulate wind for healthy stem growth. 22/07/20 The plants show slowed stretch symptoms but still not to the level I want, so I revamp the 'grow tent' with reflective material (crumpled aluminium foil for more reflective surfaces) and upgraded the bulb to a 100W output LED with the same temperature and a higher luminousity of 1350. One cotyledon on the SVG strain was broken but not completely sheared off, but I'll leave it to its own devices. 23/07/20 Columbian seed has yet to germinate so I added another from my backups. 24/07/20 Seedlings have shown normal rates of growth so I think the current grow tent is sufficient. When I took them outside they endured light gusts and rainfall for a half hour during their sun bask. I decided to add foil to the door of the tent to trap more light in. 25/07/20 Tropical Storm Gonzalo may make landfall today and the skies are set up for thunderstorms so I decided to keep the plants in their indoor setup for the full 18hrs of their light cycle. Since both Columbian seeds still show no signs of germination, I decide to go collect another strain. I got my hands on a 21 day old Dominican Republic strain that was grown in a seedling tray and left there; It was fed once with 20-20-20 and calmag. The cotyledons were white, the stem red between the top nodes and yellow the rest of the way down, the leaves a light green, and it was no taller than 2 inches excluding it's 1 inch sq root cube. I immediately transplanted it into my remaining half gallon pot upon returning home, dampened the soil with my spray bottle and left it to sit with the others and finish the light cycle.

This strain is a really nice strain to grow and if you are a dessert 🍨 person you would love this strain, tho I lost all my main tops to mold nugs was to big and to dense, so lots a ventilation needed for this strain.

Week7 D1 I think things have stabilized and we are back on track. Since I flushed and wont be able to utilize top amendments like I would like I am going to use TSP One Bloom Boost Liquid Nutrient for the remaining 2 weeks. Week7 D5 Blue dream is fading hopefully she is drawing in energy and going to swell soon. All girls are super frosty and sticky and dense. W7 D6 Seems early but blue dream is maturing quick and sin mins is beginning to fade. We are now in harvest watch!!!

Stoked on her. She turned out wonderful. Smells like rotting strawberries and gas. I’m so glad I could grow her out normally. No purple colors but she has a pink hue to her. I’m pleased. Into the cure closet she goes. She will cure for a couple weeks and I can’t wait to press her into some rosin 🍓
