Fractal week 18 & 19. 7/28 - 8/4-10
I am late for my outside ladies diaries updates. Life has been getting the best of me lately. I’ve been packing my daughter’s room and moving her things to her new home. For those that have followed my since my beginning here, Cancer left me with neuropathy and arthritis in my hands. I can no longer do my glass fusing or flame work. To close this chapter of my life, I’ve been inventorying glass, tools, equipment, molds and supplies to sell. The most stressful has been appealing Medicare claims and receiving the second denials on the same claims. They are the last payer of record so good luck getting any reimbursement you are entitled to.
My apologies to all of you for being so brief on your diaries and not providing many comments.
Photos are from 7/28- 8/9 for both weeks.
For my outside ladies, Opium, Auto Opium, Fractal, and Lemon Cake not much changed. They continue to live in sweltering conditions. Temps are in the upper 80-90s with humidity over 105. In addition to the heat, Hurricane Debby started up the coast but was downgraded to a tropical storm by the time it got to us. Expecting our normal thunderstorms, I waited til morning to bring the ladies inside.
Overnight, we had wind gusts of 25mph. Yeah, then I brought all gals into the house. The photo gals are strong and with thick stalks were able to withstand the winds. Both Opium’s got blown over Auto Opium is thin and spindly and before I could save her from the winds and rain, she got whipped side to side. The top 2 feet bent hard one way and the top 6 inches bent the other direction. The pics show my attempt to bandage the damage 😟 to her top cola with chopsticks and electrical tape.
I top dressed all ladies with Bloom Soil for organic fertilizer. Buds are fattening up, trichomes are minimal at this time but some fragrance is starting to be noticed.

Just did last light defoliation.. she is bursting with trichomes .. lighting and video don’t do them justice... pics you can see little better

This is a beautiful plant! I tied the main shoots to spread it out and allow the undergrowth more light. Very happy with the progress so far! Happy growing everyone!

Happy Weekend Growmies, you are all well 😊
Reds been growing away nicely this week, ive got the light at 16 inches and just keeping an eye out for any light burn.
Shes still got a bit of clawing as you can see from the video, but i haven't fed her this week apart from the canna boost and its definitely got better. Il give her another weak feed next week but this strain dosent seem to need allot of nutes.
Those lovely purple colours have now started to come through with the lower night time temps and shes loooking grand, i never stop marvelling at the beauty of this plant 😊

This week seemed to go by very slow. The plants are growing at a slow rate. It’s my first grow abs I was unsure of when to turn the lights on. I had some plants still as seeds and some has germinated. I turned the lights on a day or 2 late I believe so some of my plants began stretching.

Ya tenemos la tercera semana de flora de está Purple Kush de Kannabiaseeds. En esta semana hemos seguido con los fertilizantes caseros de flora. En una o dos semanas empezaremos a echarle azucares a la planta para que engorde esos lindos cogollos 😍

Another easy week for the chibans. I feel bad i did not include little chiban 2 in the diary. She was topped a while back and is much much smaller then her sister but her structure and growth i am pleased with. Glad i kept her now..
Number 1 is just a monster!! i cut her i have snapped and bent her but each time i come out the next day and she has just repaired whatever i have done and im sure if she could she would be holding her middle finger up at me as i walked in!! She is huge (relative to the space i have) I have never spent so much effort on past grows maintaing the perfect enviroment as i have on this grow and what it has shown me is huge.. Get this right and it seems they just do their thing.. Now she is flipped and in pre flower i am a little scared of what she will become.. Good job my tiny grow space is over 2M tall.
Feeding is strange as they dont want too much. At the start of potting i mixed in ecothrive charge into the substrate and i have to say this stuff is amazing. I gave the first feed of nutes to these i think a week ago and it was a weak mix of grow and it gave them talons on the leaf tips which i took as a sign of N toxicity. So i think i could have stretched another week out of just water and beneficials. I will remember for next run.
thats it really, i will be keeping an eye this week on the enviroment again as previous weeks and watching for any changes in requirements.

Note:
At time of writing the Runtz has had 2 weeks cure, will update the review and rate it after 2+ months cure.
Hermied a bit, has very few seeds so not too bad.
Growth review:
- vigorous grower during veg
- solid stretch
- medium internode distance
- small sized buds
- lower buds not too airy
- very easy/not fussy
- medium amount of smell
- 80+ days flower (12/12) in hydro DWC under full spectrum led
- responded well to various lst techniques
Ease of growth rating: 9/10
General note:
--> For me personally this strain NEEDS a good cure and is not worth smoking yet... It has a bit of a citrus grassy (not hay) taste, with some 'special' fruity smells to it that remind a bit of grapes/cassis. When grinding/opening the curing pots there is a pretty dank heavy weed smell so I think the quality will come out after a few months of cure... In its current state not worth smoking for the taste or effect after 14 days cure.
--> Currently the effect is not very strong, easy to handle and I need a lot to feel a bit. The effect lasts for short compared to the average strains I smoke. Should develop more character with a longer cure.
Hash making notes:
- water extraction of the trim yielded 16g of hash (45mc-220mc)
- rosin has a bit too much of a weird spicy grassy taste which make it a bit unpleasant, waiting till the buds improve with cure to try again
- rosin color at 80c is yellow/white/beige creamy waxy, with hard consistency
- rosin color at 95c is golden with hard consistency

Really happy with the performance of my 2 Haze berry plants by Royal Queen Seeds, both phenos have the exact same fragrance I love in this strain, very fruity and sweet smell it makes you forget about everything, you feel like you're in the Caribbean just enjoying a nice fruit salad, I cannot wait to see how this ladies will get on the 4th week of flower! Stay with me to see how this 2 girls keep developing their beautiful flowers! 💚❤️💛
