25-2: Throughout the week, I'm observing two phenomena simultaneously: a portion of the upper leaves turning a lighter green and/or appearing to have a yellowish hue. One plant has curled leaves at the top of the plant but limited to one layer of leaves. The tips are yellowed with dark spots. Due to rapid growth, the plant flew too close to the sun and burned its wings, was my assessment. In other words, light burn. The leaves becoming lighter are located in several layers from the top to halfway down the plant. I suspect there is a deficiency and perform a slurry test. The EC is low at 0.24 and the pH is good at 6.3. The soil is still too wet to feed, which presents a dilemma: feed with the risk of wet feet or wait a bit longer with the risk that the deficiencies become more severe? To mitigate this, I gave foliar feeding (Terra Bloom 0.5 ml per liter) by spraying the leaves without really wetting them. I did this just after the lights were out. A day later, I first flushed the plants with a few liters of water pH 6.4 and then gave them nutrients with EC 1.3 and pH 6.4: Terra Bloom (+/- 4 ml per liter), Sugar Royal (1 ml per liter), and a tiny bit of Great White and orthosilicic acid. And hung the lights back at 30 cm. It seems to be working because I see the color coming back slightly and the yellowing has at least stopped. Furthermore, I'm keeping the day and night temperature a bit higher at about 25 degrees Celsius during the day and around 21 at night. This is to limit the humidity at night and during the day to increase the VPD to about 1.45. At the end of the week I see the end of the stretch and standing 87 cm tall at average. Flipped to 12-12 at just under 7 week mark as I ran out of canopy space. Plants are growing beautifully no issues thus far. Began using compost tea as well as a mostly clover based cover crop. Rotating plants daily to get even growth of tops that might be crowded.

7/29/24 week 8. Flipping is around the corner. I have to defoliate before the flip. I added recharge nutrient this week to help the ladies have a quick recovery. I'm only feeding recharge with a 3 gallon res fill. I usually fill up by at least 6 gallons. What are yalls experiences using recharge?

Week 5, now we are talking, she is stretching and the roots are growing at a really nice rate. Feeding is almost at the recommended max without her showing signs of overfeeding, I always increase and try to push the plant but you need to go slow, step by step and see how she reacts, always give her 48 hours to see how she copes with the new dose, If she looks healthy stick to dose for the week and increase the following. A good trick to see if you plant wants more of less fertilizer is reading the ppm and check when the res level is lower after 3 days or so, if the ppm rises but the water level doesn't go down quick she has to much feeding. If the PPM stay the same or drop with quick water intake means she takes it in very happy and maybe can take more. Will continue to rise the dose till we reach the recommended max of 2.5ml/l, might play with the ratio later on.

Week 6ix behind All week been struggling to solve the “mystery of yellow top” And “the mystery of not flowering autos” Since both coco plants are not flowering in the same manner i ruled-out the possibility of them being genetically photos instead of autos. The possibility that i’d get 2 different strains to be with such a rare deviation is atomically small. For now have developed a plan and then decided to go a little sideways. First, reducing the EC to 1.3 stable instead of trying to push the plants to the limit. This means a little less that 1/2 of the recommended dosage by the producer. Second, going heavier on cal-mag Keep mimosa fed every day as she seems to devour everything and sit in a light pot. Another thought is iron deficiency but will see in due time if reducing EC and changing watering schedule doesnt help will go and find an iron supplement. And finally, if they dont flower i will switch them to 12/12 but this is last resort, i dont beleive they are photos. Es mi primera cosecha de la cual pude sacar 33.5 g secos. Cogollos con una gran consistencia tanto en su volumen como en la cantidad de tricomas elaborados, con un aroma a Alcanfor y pino muy predominante. La verdad una hermosa cosecha que me deja conforme.
