Buenos humos 🚬

Starting this week of with some (in my eyes) beautiful nighttime - shots! Also, i finally found out why Whitebalance is important on my Camera. Whoopsie! Plants got watered on Day 45 with 2,5L each, ramping up BioBloom to 3ml/L as well. If the plants dont tell me they need more, im probably only gonna ramp up topmax from here on out. With the watering, i did some more "aggressive" defoliation, focusing on the inside but also removed some larger fanleaves everywhere. PH in stays 6,5 and out Stays at 6,1 for plant B and 6,2 for Plant A. Sounds good to me! They also started to smell. They did so before, but mainly when i stuck my nose into the tent, and in the bygone weeks, it was, for my untrained nose, more of the typical "weed growing" smell we all know and love. But now - oh boy, now shes showing her olfactorial potential, and i swear to god i can make out banana (more like the peel not the fruit, but banana is banana), but my SO tells me im probably having a stroke. ill die on that hill though - i can smell banana. Theyre done stretching since a bit now, but in the timelapse (which ill add at the end of the week) you can see the flowers starting to swell up and see a difference daily. I said it a lot already, but i will say it again, they grow FAST, they grow beautifully and now they also get budmass going. I dont think they'll be ready to harvest in Week 8 (yet), just because i topped and couldve given more light, but if anyone tells me they harvested their BPP in 8 weeks, im inclined to believe them. My impatient a** is still in awe just how hard they are stepping on the gas. I measured their size for once, Plant A is 62 cm from soil to top, Plant B is 56 cm from soil to top. Plant B is also sitting on a weight as a slight elevation boost since this week. Bit late, but added the timelapse for week 7 for you to enjoy!

[ Information ] For all information on this grow, including strain and room details, please see the first week of veg. [ Updates ] Day 10 - Watered today, 1.2ec feeding of mainly organics (Fulvic/Humic, Kelp, Molasses, Big Bloom) with runoff. 6.8ph. Group one is stretching much harder due to plant density, I will be adding a net soon. Day 13 - Watered today with the nutrients listed for this week. 2.2ec at 6.5ph. 80gals total. Added a small dose of Open Sesame for the first time today as bud sites are starting to form on all plants. Added a net to Group 1 yesterday, I will add the nets for Group 2 in a couple days. Group 1 plants are 38-40 inches, group 2 plants are 32-34 inches. I may adjust net height, this isn't normally how I run a cycle; I'm trying a few different things side-by-side. The "one plant per square foot of canopy" group has consistently shown that even with a short veg period there is far too many wasted growth nodes on the sides of the canopy. The plants around the edge tend to branch out instead of up, as they're naturally trying to find sunlight. My last attempt at using these side branches with heavy topping of the middle nodes resulted in a higher yield, as expected as the light footprint was 5x5 instead of 4x4, which defeats the purpose of "one plant per square foot of canopy" anyways. A better test would have been to stunt the growth of all middle nodes enough to weave the side branches into the main canopy, though this seems to be a waste of time without much gain. I'm much happier with Group 2 which has 1 plant per 2 square feet of canopy space. While it also has side branching, the difference in height at the canopy level of the sides and middles are not nearly as different as Group 1, which means a more even light distribution without the need of a net. As overgrown as the room is getting, they still have 7-8 days before they're defoliated a final time.

Growth has really begun to take off! I've been making tweaks to my setup. Got nervous I was getting some light through the bucket so I covered it in aluminum foil to block out the light for a few days while I was getting a lid painted and ready. Painted with two coats black to block any light and then 3 coats of white for reflectivity of light and heat. I have been reading various methods and was torn on whether to top it since it is an autoflower or just let it go. Pulled the trigger and went forward with topping. The growth has been good and she's looking super happy! Any issues related to pH and nutrient deficiencies seem to have resolved themselves.

1/21: I rotated the edge plants and foliar fed with big bloom a few times today. 1/22: I fed them about 3/4 gallon each after top-dressing their pots with a heaping tablespoon of happy frog cavern culture( bat and seabird guano). That will make some P and K available to them over the next 2 weeks as they begin to flower. Aside from that, I went with full strength veg nutes because I'm still seeing some yellowing and som cal-mag deficiencies. I also added some more liquid molasses. They're gonna need the energy as they start their stretch. I foliar fed a few times throughout the day with big bloom. 1/23: EXPLOSIVE GROWTH last night...love it...everybody is stretching...pretty sure the 14/10 photoperiod is working!! I foliar fed with big bloom a few times today. 1/24: These girls look particularly sativa in leaf shape and plant structure. The one that ignored my FIM job has the typical pyramidal/coniferous shape. I'll probably tie her main down tonight or tomorrow to encourage the lowers to gain some altitude. 1/25: I tied down the mains of both of them today, then watered with about a half-gallon including cal-mag, humic acid, bembe, armor si, and signal. 1/26: Tied down more branches and raised the lights a few inches. 1/27: No pistils yet on either of these two... That's it for week 5-

Hello Growmies, As we step into the eighth week of our Watermelon Candy F1 Hybrids' flowering stage, the dance of growth and aroma continues to enchant our senses. These delightful plants, sharing their space with Epic Buzz and Red Banana Pudding varieties, inch ever closer to the pinnacle of their bloom. The Watermelon Candy cultivars are flourishing with an undeniable zest, their foliar tapestry thick with the potential of what's to come. The air is thick with their intoxicatingly sweet scent, a testament to their namesake, and their buds are expanding with satisfying robustness. Plant #1 is maintaining its lead with a striking bud formation, clearly thriving in the consistent environment of the Tent-X system. Plant #2 and Plant #3 are not far behind, with each showing a wealth of budding sites and a sprawling canopy that speaks to a bountiful harvest ahead. Despite being under a 12/12 light cycle along with the photoperiod plants, which may limit their yield compared to a 20/4 cycle, these plants are putting on a splendid show. They continue to swell, their trichome-frosted buds promising a powerful and flavorful finale. Nutrition continues on a carefully scheduled five-day rotation, our blend of Alga Bloom, Sugar Royal, Power Roots, and Orca nurturing these beauties into their late flowering phase. The TrolMaster system diligently logs every parameter, ensuring our VPD and PPFD values are consistently optimized for peak performance. As the eighth week unfolds, we see the evidence of our meticulous care in the uniform health and structure of the plants. The internodal spaces remain tight, the stems sturdy, and the flowering sites increasingly impressive. With anticipation building for the harvest that lies ahead, we reflect on the journey so far. It's a path marked by shared knowledge and collective experience, all leading us toward what promises to be a remarkable culmination of our efforts. Stay lifted, Salokin

Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Week 1 Dance Monkey Week 2 Gotye Week 3 AC/DC Week 4 INXS Week 5 Dire straits Week 6 Yothu yindi and Midnight oil Week 7 Divinyls Week 8 Was Request week where I asked growers to pick and because only 3 growers put in a request I decided to choose all three which were Kylie Minogue , Flume & Airbourne Week 9 Paul Kelly Week 10 Daddy Cool Week 11 Cold chisel Week 12 Jimmy Barnes Week 13 The Angels Week 14 Crowded House Hoodoo gurus Mental as Anything Week 15 Empire of the sun Big Pig , Silverchair , Peking duk Grinspoon , Hilltop hoods and the White stripes And Finally for the last lot of music videos I have chosen another multi list bonanza of Aussie Music with the artist/s name and Youtube link below. So in no particular order here are my last choices for this Diary its been a fun grow with a steep learning curve. Last day of the 3rd week and first day of 4th week. Plants bounced back completely from my 10 days absence, and they're praying as always when approaching correctly with Aptus nutrients. In order to prepare them for late flowering, I fed them in previous week with added Fulvic Blast. The very next feeding I gave them beneficial bacteria again with Micromix Drip, before they start receiving the highest ammount of phosphorus. Now I stop with adding any additional nitrogen (Startbooster) as they stopped stretching and they will focus their energy into flowers, so I'm implementing the Topbooster which helps our plants with sugars and brix level. Are you aware of brix and what does it means for your plants health and taste in the end product? If not, start reading and discovering, thank me later 🙏

I've been busy so these plants are absolutely bursting from their way too small containers. Some yellowing occurred and it's getting a lot better now after feeding more. They just need to get into bigger soil ASAP haha.
