The increased CO2 allows plants to thrive at higher temperatures, which in turn necessitates higher humidity to maintain the ideal VPD for healthy growth and transpiration. 80F -5F = 75F LST with 70% RH = 0.72 kPa. Higher temperatures and humidity promote rapid growth, nutrient uptake, and photosynthesis while maintaining a lower stress level. Temperature influences the rate of enzymatic reactions involved in aerobic respiration. Enzymes, such as those involved in glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain, work most efficiently at an optimal temperature range. In low temperatures, enzymatic activity will slow down, thus reducing the rate of aerobic respiration. In high temperatures, enzymes can become denatured, thus impairing their function and stopping the process of aerobic respiration. Glucose is the primary fuel for aerobic respiration. The rate of aerobic respiration increases with the availability of glucose, as it is the starting point for glycolysis. If glucose levels are low, cells may rely on alternative energy sources such as fatty acids or amino acids , but these processes may yield less ATP or be less efficient. To determine this effect, carbon dioxide volume was measured (as carbon dioxide is an output of aerobic respiration) 18/6 with the 6 being IR. The near infrared (IR-a) borders around 700nm up to 1400nm @ photon par flux density of 1.8 instead of darkness, keeping temps overnight a neat 77F-80F. Think of my tent as a lung. The plant, as it performs cellular respiration, will always be releasing more water into the air, so the RH% of the tent overnight will always increase, so long as oxidative phosphorylation is occurring. As soon as the RH% creeps back up to 55%, the extraction turns back on, over and over. This creates a strong pressure differential which will work wonders on your grow. Moisture will not transfer from a saturated atmosphere to another if that air is already at or above its saturation point, meaning the air can't hold any more water vapor. Once I understood that water is produced as a by product during cellular respiration, specifically at the very end of the electron transport chain (ETC) where electrons are finally transferred to molecular oxygen, the higher the RH of the air, the more resistance there is for more moisture to be added to that environment, and effects the ease with which it does so. But none of that water comes from the pot; it's pulled from the air. If you run high daytime RH, your medium/pot is 100% reliant on transpirational root pull to move water. ZERO evaporation happens across the atmosphere if the tent air has high RH%, the medium cannot release its water through evaporation. Once a canopy develops, light no longer slowly wicks and evaporates from the topsoil. The Soil-Plant-Atmosphere Continuum (SPAC) describes the continuous pathway and process of water movement, driven by a gradient in water potential, from the soil, through the plant's roots, stem, and leaves, and finally evaporating into the atmosphere through transpiration. There is evaporation, there is transpiration, and then there is evapotranspiration; Evapotranspiration (ET) is the combined total of two processes: evaporation (water lost directly from soil and surface water into the atmosphere) and transpiration (water released from plants to the atmosphere through their leaves). Evapotranspiration represents the total amount of water that moves from the medium into the air. There is no such thing as a medium with too much water, only a medium that retains too much for too long. The water must always flow efficiently from one atmosphere(Medium) to another(Air) in a timely manner. Moisture is a critical factor for bacterial growth and decay. Dictating how long it's allowed to sit in any one location for any given period is a key preferred control. To ensure a net reduction in a bacterial population, the rate of removal (ET) must exceed the rate of bacterial growth (decay rate), which is often modeled as a growth rate for the specific bacterium under the given conditions. By optimizing daytime VPD, we also optimize conditions for bacterial growth to explode exponentially above 77°F.. If water is allowed to sit in a medium without an escape within a timeframe, nothing good will happen. IF High RH is maintained overnight as well as during the day, placing 100% of water movement at the behest of daytime transpiration, roots can only pull where they can reach, and if soil is compressed above a certain point, moisture will become trapped in a medium with no way of moving day or night. This will begin the countdown for decay to take hold. When water stagnates in a medium, it loses oxygen, creating anaerobic conditions that foster the growth of harmful microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, which can produce toxins and disease vectors. Thigmomorphogenesis, the process by which plants respond to mechanical stimuli like touch by altering their growth and development, results in significant morphological changes to improve survival against mechanical perturbations. This complex response involves sensing touch and initiating physiological and genetic responses, leading to changes in form and structure over days or weeks. The process is triggered by physical forces such as wind, rain, or touch. Plants adapt to these stimuli by changing their shape and structure, which may include slower growth, thickened stems, or altered leaf development. Plants possess sophisticated mechanisms to detect even subtle mechanical stimuli and initiate responses. A variety of molecules, including calcium ions, jasmonates, ethylene, and nitric oxide, are involved in signaling these mechanical inputs. Touch can induce the expression of genes that encode proteins for calcium sensing, cell wall modification, and defense mechanisms. A plant exposed to constant wind may become shorter and sturdier. A plant that is touched frequently might grow more slowly to conserve energy and develop thicker cell walls. These changes increase a plant's resilience and ability to survive in harsh environments. Tag 80: es war heute echt mal 44%rH und das bei normalen Temperaturen . Tag 81: Komplette Entlaubung und Vorbereitung zur Ernte . Bleibt noch die Nacht so im Stofftopf (fast trocken) . Tag 82: Ach ich hab mich doch mal entschlossen mit 1.5 Liter Flaschenwasser + CalMag ein paar Spülungstage zu machen . Dieses im Vegetativen Zelt mit der 100W von Spiderfarmer auf extrem niveau (25cm Abstand) . DAs ballert nochmal schön auf die Trichome .

this week was not very favorable, not much sun, rather cool nights 12°, but the girl is growing a little :) she still has a lot of time :) so for now everything is fine:).

Day 14 for these kre8 Genetics CandyMan regular seeds but I'm feeling confident I've got at least 2 girls growing 🤞🏻 been on mild feed of monkey Nutrients every couple days and seem to be enjoying it 😏 gave them just water today. The pots will be topped up with soil in the next day or so then I can take the pins out and start topping & training them 😍 Update: I've now just topped them on Day 19

This gorgeous beast is so damn heavy I've had to support every single branch with plant yoyo's. There are no joke about 15 of them on this one plant. Even the little branches need support because the flowers are so big and dense! Not to mention this girl smells so strong of gas, sour funk, and a little citrus!

Heeey all! Sorry for the huge amount of photos but this week was crazy. So many things happened and my lack of knowledge clearly showed up. I ended stressing one of my plants for no reason! 😱 At the start of the week everything was normal until I noticed that one of Roko's buds looked weird. It seemed to be too dry and orange for my tastes and I didn't know what it was. Obviously I started to ask around and I got so many mixed messages haha. Some people said it was nothing and I should not worry about it and others said they were 100% sure it was botrytis or budrot... aaaaaaaand I got paranoid lol. 😵😨 At first I tried to keep calm and ignore it for one day but the next one the bud looked even worse and that's when I feared the worst. What if it's really budrot? In general the values I write in here are approximates or an average of the week.. and usually my tent never goes over 60% of RH (in the dark it stays between 50% to 60% when I water them and on some rare occasions it reaches 65%). This time, after I checked the thermometer it said "75% of RH" but I did not know if it was during their sleep time or maybe some time after the lights went on) so once again I feared the worst! What if the plants stayed all the night with that amount of RH? Was that enough time for them to develop budrot? What if it's still nothing? Yikes. 😭 I had to do something and I did, I wasn't going to risk everything! I started removing the worst looking leaf to see if there was anything mushy or ugly between it and the pistils but I didn't see anything (maybe I was safe and that was something else? Or maybe the budrot was even deeper and I could not see it?) After reading I realized that the best idea was to cut the bud in half and then slice it to "see" if there was anything inside... so I did it and absolutely nothing showed up 😖! Those were good news! Sadly tho the poor plant had to go thru some stress after cutting that bud in half (at least from what I saw the insides were tightly packed and the photos showed some really cool stuff) The rest of the week was uneventful (compared to what I feared haha) and some leaves started to change even more in color (I love it). I think I'll start with the flush next week or the one after that one. There are some amber trichomes...! Thanks all for checking my diary! Hopefully you'll all find the pictures interesting! PD: None of the plants have seeds in them, even when one of the sliced buds seemed to be making them!

This is a nice hard diesel pheno, same smell that her sister has, I'm feel some citrussy gassy aromas, she's gonna start to produce a lot of trichomes in the upcoming weeks, stay tuned to see how this keeps developing her flowers!! Peace everybody!! 💚💛❤️✌️

The journey has come to a different stage. She got moved to the dark garage for 48 hours of darkness after 3 days of heavy water. I pulled her a week earlier than I wanted. Too many concerns, got lots of rain and she's got dense chunky nugs, spent half of her life outside. No pest issues, not mold, I think I got lucky. Trichomes were all cloudy, 5% amber, still so many white hairs. Smelt like gassy, burnt rubber while trimming. Hopefully the smoke was worth the fire. On day 5 drying, looking good so far.

Correct weeknumbers are difficult in a perpetual grow lol🙃 Little update with all the strains. Runtz XL(more xxxx small lol) was drowned as can be seen, no hole in that pot>drilled them today. As small as she is she is the second plant that entered flowering stage. Red Gorilla girl XL was in my vertical garden system, didnt respond well its leaves started to wilt, the pot got replaced somewhere a little more temperate. The lsd-25 seems to be okay in the vertical wall. The Purple punch is well into flower ready to develop nugs in next 2 weeks Happy growing peeps

Started to get some light stress on a couple of taller ones so backed lights off a few inches. Smelling lovely and now starting to bulk up. Buds are rock hard.

Week 9: Post-Vacation Bloom & Humidity Vigilance Update: 22.07.2025 | Day 70 Back from vacation - ladies made huge progress! Weather shifted from hot/sunny to rainy/humid (22°C). Mold prevention is now top priority. Strain Check: Green Crack Developed beautifully but has fewest bud sites by far. Buds thicker than others - constant humidity checks essential. Gorgeous structure with spot-on mango aroma. Resin queen: sticky like flypaper to the touch. At least 2 weeks to go. Forbidden Runtz Looks fantastic with the best fragrance of the trio. Resin production accelerating, but buds show slight foxtailing (heat stress from previous weeks?). Solid 15-20 bud sites. Should finish in ~2 weeks. Bruce Banner Still the star with perfect even canopy. 20+ long candle-like buds forming. Resin/smell least developed but has 3-4 weeks left. Critical: Defoliation for airflow to prevent mold in this humidity. Critical Actions: -Daily inspection for curled leaves inside buds (early mold sign) - Reduced Bokashi feeding (1:150 weekly) - Strategic defoliation: Remove only touching leaves - LST adjustments to increase branch spacing - Morning stem shakes to dislodge moisture Stay blazing, keep growing!
