Buds stacking up! I love these plants!!!! So far this is the closest to a perfect grow I've gotten! ________________________________________________ I tried to stretch out watering and I think the plants suffered a bit for it. But lesson learned and not to much stress. I've decided I have 2 different phenoms, they have quite different bud structure and the tight small buds seem alot less purple. Not disappointed, just interesting to see their difference. By the small bud I wonder if it has more ruderalis in it or something. ________________________________________________ Gonna do Dry Kool bloom then ripen then done? Hopefully!

Changed my plans a bit so they probably won't move to another location ( or they really have to outgrow their current pots... ) so added some additional lights and raised my EC a bit. Also added CO2 to 900PPM but not sure if continue with that. First time CO2 out of a bottle instead of a generator. If it is too pricey I will quit that. 07-09: YES!! I have an extra room available so I am moving these ladies to a bigger place.. will keep you up to date.... From 5.7 to 30 liter pot size (a bit late to switch but I do believe they can profit from it.) A few hours later.... Well, that's not easy at all... taking a break for a moment... Checklist for myself: The tent is up and checked for leaks (ugly thing, but no complaints for fifty bucks) Lighting is installed at the correct height CO2 is in place, needs to be moved to the right spot Exhaust is installed (still need to tape the transitions) Still need to install Blumat (but first repot the plants due to positioning) Install the water supply (yes, I should have done that first...) Meh... another hour or two. Hopefully, they don't mind being without light for about 3 hours. A few hours later.... Well, that was a lot of work... but thank goodness it all worked out (just need to install the Blumats, which I'll soak in water shortly). Besides that, I now have a water supply and drainage available, which makes certain tasks much easier. Hand-watering was pretty fun (the plants were doing well so far), but it was a lot of work for 12 pots. Having to use a syringe every day for dosing just isn't my thing. The plants are suddenly looking very small again, though. But well, now they can literally grow in any direction. I'll quickly check how they did overnight, and then the lights will be going out again soon. And then quickly took some photos just before the lights went out... The ladies seem to be doing just fine, with their leaves happily pointing upwards as if they're waving cheerfully. The CO2 has been used up quite quickly; the bottle is empty, which isn't surprising given the large tent. I'll refill the bottle shortly and see how long it lasts this time. I think trimming will be a bit easier this round. Tonight, I'll lower the lights a bit to around 30 cm and hope they can handle the doubling of the light intensity. They were doing well last night, at least. The temperature is on the high side (33˚C), but that's not surprising given the current outdoor temperatures. Room setup rundown, examples of bud, et al in pictures... Seedlings/Clones lights - Viparspectra XS1500. Vege lights - Mars Hydro FC-4800 Flower Lights - 650w 3400K 1900umol/s PAR, (3) 226w DIY 2900K 630umol/s PAR (678w and 1890umol/s), Substrate - 50/50 sphagnum peat moss and vermiculite in 5-gallon pots Climate Control - Luckily, the lights, winter and normal furnace use all equate to a decent temperature, though a bit on colder side in in vege phase, sadly. Humidifier is needed early and later a dehumidifier is needed when canopy develops. I only grow in the winter months. Irrigation - do not use the emitters in this diary. They suck a big fat dick to skip a line to suck a bigger dick. They come in different shapes, too. Basic process The little light takes care of seedlings in 2.5" wide seedling pots until first up-pot. The 1-gallon pots fit well under the FC4800 in a 4x4 tent until day 21 after sprout. I plant 150% or more of what i need, so i can kill the weak without concern. The goal is for every plant that makes it to the 5-gallon up-pot being capable of producing a minimum of 160 grams with a maximum of a 35-40 day vegetative phase. Third up-pot is into 5-gallon nursery pots and now under the 3 DIY lights and the 650W light in the big tent for a couple more weeks of vege. An irrigation system in the big tent saves a lot of time. One scrog for training and another for support, just in case. Reverting back to a more systematic approach to canopy composition moving forward. About 2.3 colas per sq ft and 8 primary colas per plant. Yields were similar when over-crowding and being less systematic, but the proportion of less dense nugs is greater and trim time is needlessly elevated because of that fact. I was very controlling about this the first couple years but got away from it for far too long at this point. Drying / Curing - Into mesh racks for 9 days. I wet trim and cut down to similarly sized buds for even drying. Temps are controlled around 68F and RH is set to 60%. Then into some 5-gallon buckets with gamma seal lids and (3) 2-way 67g boveda humidipaks (58% or 62%) in each bucket - 1 at bottom, 2 at top. Temp/RH probe confirms that they hold the RH steady at 60-63%. Cost - 0.33 cents (USD) per gram produced. This includes an accelerated depreciation expense for all equipment used, fertilizer, water, electricity for all equipment used, new filters and other yearly purchases - bti, ph strips, sticky traps, etc. I'm a finance guy, so these numbers are comprehensively accurate and purposely err slightly on high side of cost. The only facet not included is the cost of my labor.

I'm downloading new photos and day comments every new day, so go back and see full last week diary right now! --------------- New week starts. 🌞12.12.2022 My girls looks healthier then ever after I flushed them both with 'GHE Clean' solution and gave them 75% of nutrient's 'Pre flowering' doze. I hope this trend will last till the very end of this run. Flowering in progress! I sprayed them with 'SeaWeed' as usual and that's all for today's treat. 🌞13.12.2022 Today I watered my babies with 75% of 'GHE' nutrients plus 'Advanced PK' in a half of recommended doze. Their leaves looking downwards after the lights was ON and i think it's because of poore watering cycle or it's overheating. I increased lamp to plant distance to 40cm. I'll try to water them more often from now. I sprayed them with 'GHE Protect' solution to stimulate immune system and it's a last time i using this nutrient. Upd: 10hrs after watering they looks fantastic. It was water deficit. Flowers developing and smell increased. 🌞14.12.2022 I think my ladies like PK complex i gave them yesturday. Plus 2cm per 24hrs. More stigmas. Healthier look. Ph don't want to go down, it stays ~7 ignoring sulfur I putted in substrate two waterings ago. 'SeaWeed' spraying today and nothing more. 🌞15.12.2022 +1cm today. I changed girls diet. Now they'll take 'GHE SeaWeed' with water directly. Plus 'Advanced PK' in a 80% of recommended dose. Also I stopped giving them 'GHE Mineral Magic' and 'GHE Diamond Nectar'. They aren't necessery when flowering in progress. All other nutrients ('GHE Flora TriPart', 'GHE O.G.Bloom') - goes in amount of 75% from recommended doze. I don't want to overfeed my babies. Also, EC of solution is ~1.2 as well. PPM is 830. I think this are max numbers to reach. They were good sprayed with 'GHE Protect' once more. I'll spray them with pure water from now. Upd: Before watering all leaves are bent down (I watering my plants every 48hrs) and they are rising up in a couple hours after the procedure. I need to water them more often, but I have my job wich cause me to hold some steady watering periods. I'll wait some time more and then will shorten watering time to once per day graphic. 🌞16.12.2022 And again +1cm per 24hrs. It's nothing planned for today, only clean water spraing. Watering stays for tomorrow. I turned ON my main ventilation with two charcoal filters. There is no signs of a smell now, but it's too noisy. It's like a car engine running near my bed all the time. Well, I need to sacrifice something to get good results... I love how my BPPa#2 looks. It's big and bushy. Now You can clearly see it's future bud brunches and I'm really satisfied with it growth. #1 is much smaller and it forming not so much yields. There are signs of overfeeding on it's leaves and that's why it goes like this. I think #1 was too small when i started feed them bouth in a 'pre flowering' mode. #2 swallowed it, but #1 couldn't. I think she'll made it, with slightly smaller size, but as delicious as #2 will be. 🌞17.12.2022 I fed my girls with a seme mixture without 'G.H.Bloom' since it is bloom activator. It was really hard, because I got ill yesturday and have 38° temperature. But feeding is feeding. And clean water spraying, of course. Upd: +4cm per 36hrs (I forgot to do mesurments in the morning). 🌞18.12.2022 Nothing special today, only fresh water spraing. +1cm per 12hrs (almost 2cm) My BPPa#1 and #2 looks different. #2 already has violet colour in its stigmas nodes. #1 all white and it has smaller hight (20cm, and #2 has 28cm). You've to have everything going strong and no mess ups to give you a higher chance of getting purple. Even, then you may not get it. But, color of fan leafs has never really been important, nor will it ever be. I do have the temperatures to help me get purple if I want. But, asl I do so many grows at the same time. I keep an even temperature as much as I can throughout the entire crop. 19-22c atm that is. My drying room i can reach 10c at the moment. That will come up to 19c by April. (At this stage I should have my winter crop all dried) This is my last plant to start for this crop. I'm pushing it to the max this year. I've many plants. A few I plan to grow big. But 70% will be average grows which I'll be happy once they hit or go by 40g per plant. She has between 15-19% THC.. not normally a preference for myself. I like much stronger phenos. But, I had to give this strain a go. I'm getting round to the classics. As this is more or less what I grew up on as a teen. So, looking forward to tasting this baby. Edit After 30+hrs. Seed was placed on wet substrate that was soaked in 1L of Pure Zym.& Power Roots. After placing the seed i then added 0.1 of a liter of dry substrate on top of the seed. (Just moist soil) this will lower the risk of damping of completely nearly as this won't need watering for at least 10+ days. 1/5th of BatMix was added to the end of the pot with the rest been filled with Royal Mix, both are fertilised soil. But to get Alga Grow going as its an Organic product you should try get that going early. Just a small amount to kick-start the Organic process which takes longer while using Organic products. Pure zym & PR will help it break down any nutes as she's a seedling after all. So, I hope the soil won't be too hot. So, I'll hold off on any NPK feeds for now or anything else until she's into veg. We’re very much back with three relatively healthy plants, even though they’re a bit stunted. I clipped a few leaves here and there, applied some LST (because I just can’t help myself 😅 probably not really necessary), and have now topped them for a second time. At this point it’s all about keeping conditions stable and letting them grow out.
