Week 9 Flower Report: The Countdown to Harvest Begins! 🌼✨ As the ninth week of flower unfolds, the room is a symphony of colors and frosty brilliance—a true gardener’s dream! But as we approach the final stretch, it’s a delicate dance of vigilance and care to ensure a clean and bountiful harvest. Here’s a deep dive into this exciting and educational week: The “Flush” in Full Swing The flush continues as we prepare the ladies for their final days. While we’re a week or so away from harvest, the plants are responding beautifully, showcasing stunning fades that highlight their unique genetics. This fading process is a critical part of the journey, helping the plants naturally finish their cycle while preserving those complex terpene profiles we all love. The Mold Incident: A Teachable Moment This week brought a challenge—a few buds succumbed to bud rot (Botrytis), particularly on the Papaya Zoap and a single bud from the Gorilla Melon. While disheartening, it’s a reminder that mold can occur even in the most well-maintained gardens, especially with dense colas and a full canopy. After a thorough inspection, all affected buds were removed and discarded to prevent the spread. A quick note to all growers: defoliation plays a massive role in airflow and prevention of such issues. This is why mid-flower defoliation is a game-changer, and I’m grateful it kept the rest of the garden healthy! Papaya Zoap’s Unique Quirks The Papaya Zoap continues to be a star of the show with its frosty buds and… albino tips! These tiny white tips are likely from being too close to the lights. While it’s a cosmetic detail that doesn’t affect quality, it’s a fascinating display of how genetics and environment interact. A Frost-Filled Wonderland The room is absolutely glistening with frost. Trichomes are piling up like snow, giving the entire garden a magical wintery appearance. I genuinely believe the ThinkGrow LEDs and TrolMaster spectrum control deserve a shoutout here. Running deep red, far red, and UV at 100%, combined with whites at 50%, is delivering incredible results. The ability to fine-tune the spectrum is a game-changer for resin production and terpene enhancement. Environmental Mastery Here’s a peek into the environmental stats keeping the ladies thriving: • Room Temperature: 26°C • Relative Humidity (RH): 53.2% • VPD: 1.57 kPa • CO2: 1067 ppm • PPFD: 690 µmol/m²/s This balance creates the perfect conditions for fattening buds and maximizing quality in the final weeks. Nutrient & Soil Rundown On the nutrient side, the solution measures: • pH: 6.67 • TDS (Reservoir): 65 ppm • Solution Temp: 18.3°C Soil stats show a TDS of 695 ppm, indicating there’s still some nutrient reserve left in the medium—a perfect transition into the flush phase. It’s all about ensuring the plants have enough to finish strong without compromising flavor or smoothness. A Garden of Many Colors The fades across the room are a sight to behold. Each strain is showcasing its unique hues, with the Green Papaya leading the frost parade, and the Punch Pie taking the crown for bud size. Meanwhile, the Gorilla Melon is dazzling with red reflections, and the Papaya Zoap keeps turning heads with its white crystalline canopy. Videos with TM+ Pro This week, I’m also sharing videos straight from the TM+ Pro app. This tool has been a joy to use, offering precise control and insights into my grow environment. It’s simple for beginners and robust for advanced growers, proving once again that the TrolMaster ecosystem is a must-have in any grow room. P.S. Ecosystem Excellence I can’t emphasize enough how incredible the TrolMaster ecosystem is for growers of all levels. From intuitive configuration to seamless integration, it’s a system that simplifies growing while delivering professional results. Whether you’re just starting out or refining your craft, TrolMaster has your back. Thank Yous & Shoutouts As always, my heartfelt thanks to my sponsors: TrolMaster, ThinkGrow LEDs, Aptus Holland, Pro Mix Soil, Cannakan, and the amazing seed banks for their genetics. Huge love to the community—followers, haters, and everyone in between. And, of course, a special nod to Grow Diaries for being a platform where we can all share and learn together.

🌱 VEGETATIVE (4 weeks) The Runtz seed, placed in a root-riot cube within a DWC net pot, successfully sprouted by day 4, under an 18/6 light cycle (50W at 50cm). The first week saw the seedling establish itself, with roots extending into the DWC reservoir. During the second week, despite slightly low humidity and temperature, the seedling demonstrated robust and rapid growth. Light intensity was increased to 75W. Towards the end of this week, I removed the first set of true leaves as they were growing too close to the substrate. The third week marked a noticeable increase in the plant's water uptake (1 LT/day), which prompted me to raise the nutrient solution's EC to 1.0. The plant showed significant development while maintaining a compact stature – a trait I appreciated. In the fourth and final week of vegetation, as odors began to emerge, I installed a carbon filter, raised the EC to 1.2, keep the pH in the right range and boosted the light intensity further to 150W. By the end of this phase, the plant was bushy, compact (21 cm height), and healthy. 🌸 FLOWERING (8 weeks) For the first week I switched the light cycle to 12/12 and introduced a new nutrient solution adding Power Buds to the mix. During the second week I was impressed to see preflowers clearly visible as early as day 10 of flowering. So, during the third week I made a substantial defoliation session to manage the plant's increasing bushiness, which I knew would be crucial for later-stage light penetration and humidity control. In the fourth week I introduced a PK 8/9 booster, Green Sensation, thereby increasing the phosphorus and potassium concentration in the solution, water consumption around 3 LT/day. Towards the end of the week, I performed another significant defoliation, including the removal of lower, light-starved branches, to which the plant responded well. During the fifth week the stretching phase concluded, with the plant reaching its final height of 69cm. Its focus shifted to bud development, and the foliage began to adopt a darker hue. At this point, my role was primarily to maintain stable environmental parameters and a correct pH in reservoir. During the sixth week buds were visibly swelling daily, the plant remained in excellent health, and resin production became more pronounced. For the seventh week I implemented a change in feeding, completely cutting the nitrogen from the DWC solution, using only Green Sensation at a higher concentration. In the eighth and final week of flowering (week 12 overall), I performed a complete DWC reservoir change. I filled it with plain tap water and maintained this for 4 days leading up to harvest. On day 56 of flowering (84 from seed), the Runtz plant appeared perfectly ready. The buds were dense and glistening, pistils mostly browned and retracted, and trichomes displayed a good mix of milky and some amber. Immediately after harvesting her, I removed the fan leaves, deciding to dry these as well due to their remarkable resin content. ✅ DRYING The entire plant was hung to dry inside the grow box, which was kept completely dark with constant, gentle air circulation for 8 days. The average VPD during this period was maintained around 1.2 (approximately 20°C and 50% RH). Once this drying period was complete, I trimmed off all the sugar leaves. These resinous sugar leaves will be combined with the already dried fan leaves and larf buds, and I plan to use them to make cannabutter for edibles. ⚖️ Dry weight After the 8-day drying period, and once all the remaining small leaves and branches were removed from the buds, I weighed the final product: The harvest yielded: - 150 grams of dense buds and 5 grams of finger hash. For edibles: - 30 grams of larf and a large amount of fan and sugar leaves. ✅ CURING For the curing process, the dried buds were placed in a large, airtight glass jar. This jar was stored in a dark location within a room maintaining a stable temperature of around 20°C for a total of 45 days. The burping schedule was as follows: Day 1-7: twice daily for 10 min. Day 8-10: once daily for 10 min. Day 11-14: every other day for 10 min. Day 15-21: every 3 days for 10 min. Day 22-30: every 4 days for 10 min. Day 31-45: No burping. 📑 SMOKE REVIEW - At 15 days cured a vegetal note is still quite present and the smoke is a bit harsh, typical for a short cure. The effects are already pleasant and potent, very promising. - After 30 days of curing, the Runtz has improved considerably. The vegetal smell has mostly faded, giving way to a much more defined sweet and fruity fragrance reminiscent of candy and berries. The smoke is noticeably smooth, euphoric effects are dominant. - At 45 days, Runtz has expressed its full potential and is now perfectly cured for daily enjoyment. The aroma is intense and complex, an explosive mix of sweet candy and tropical notes. The effects are potent, starting with an uplifting cerebral euphoria that evolves into a pleasant body relaxation, without leading to couch-lock. 🍕 I also made cannabutter which I used to finish a risotto. The result was insane – both the risotto itself and the potency of the cannabutter were exceptional!

They were super easy to grow but took ill very quickly and didn't bounce back all that well but no great impact on the harvest, I'm still really happy with what's on the scales and I learned plenty from this round.

Guys, I did it! I managed to get to the end of my grow with no problems and a whopping dry weight of 189 grams (6.6 oz). I am over the moon with the outcome, especially considering this was my first time. The buds have been curing for 12 days now, breaking down extra chlorophyll for a smoother smoke. The aromas are subtle when putting your nose in the jars—nothing crazy—but when you break into a bud, it smells absolutely amazing. It has an aroma almost like Stardog, with a diesel, piney, and gassy scent. As for the taste, the buds are just as impressive! They taste exactly how they smell: diesel, piney, and gassy, much like a Stardog. The effect is incredible; it numbed my whole body and put me in a couch lock state. This strain is probably not the best for daytime smoking due to its potent, body-numbing effect. I can't wait to continue this journey with my next grow!

Week 4 – Vegetative Stage – Mango Kush (Zamnesia Seeds) Grower: Dog Doctor Strain: Mango Kush Breeder: Zamnesia Seeds Tent: 8x8 Shared Environment Environment Control: • TrolMaster Ecosystem (Model One LED by ThinkGrow) • Future Of Grow Ecosystem (Black Series 600W) Watering: Hand-fed Nutrient Line: Aptus Holland (unchanged recipe) ⸻ 🌱 Two Paths, One Queen’s Blood This week marks a defining moment in the journey of our two Mango Kush phenotypes—Pheno #1 and Pheno #2—both sharing the same genetics, but taking very different roads toward flower. ⸻ 👑 Mango Kush #1 – The Trailblazer She’s taken the lead and she knows it. Currently at her 8th or 9th node, she’s branching out beautifully, vigor, symmetry, structure. This girl is showing early signs of dominance, with a wide frame and a hunger for light. Her architecture screams “future canopy queen.” 📸 We took her to the photo studio again this week and wow. She’s a natural in front of the lens. Her structure is clean, confident, and glowing under the full-spectrum light. ⸻ 🌱 Mango Kush #2 – The Rising Sister Much younger, but full of potential. Currently pushing her 4th pair of leaves, this one was a late germination and is only about 2.5 weeks old since she popped above soil. Despite her smaller size, there’s something familiar about her. Her leaf shape and structure closely mimic Mango #1 during her early days, tight internodes, round fans, calm posture. Genetics run strong here. We’re keeping her in veg for as long as possible, but next week we’re flipping everything to flower, which means she’ll start blooming early. It’s not ideal, but it’s necessary, as the older girls (Mango #1, the Lava Cake and the rest of the sisters) are growing fast and space must be balanced. ⸻ 💧 Nutrients – No Change, Still Precision We’re keeping the Aptus Holland formula exactly as it is for this week. The girls are loving it, and there’s no sign of deficiency or excess. Here’s what they’re still getting in each liter: • Regulator – 0.15 ml: Structure, resilience, and stress defense • CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml: Building the skeleton • 💧 All-In-One Liquid – 1 ml: A steady and complete base • 🌱 Start Booster – 0.25 ml: For root expansion and early shoot development This balanced, light recipe keeps things clean and focused, supporting both the rapid growth of Mango #1 and the early development of Mango #2. ⸻ 🌡️ Lights, Climate, & Ecosystem Balance Both Mango Kush plants are thriving under dual full-spectrum LEDs: • TrolMaster ecosystem running the ThinkGrow Model One LED • Future of Grow ecosystem running the Black Series 600W Each system is tuned to maintain optimal light intensity for its space and phase. Climate conditions are steady thanks to active airflow, dual controllers, and filtered intake/exhaust setups. 💨 Carbon filters from TrolMaster and Spider Farmer keep the air clean and pure, even though we haven’t reached flower yet, clean air is good air, and early filtering helps prevent environmental noise and pathogens. ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect… and What Not To What to expect: • Mango #1 will likely dominate flower structure, showing her potential early • Mango #2 may surprise us with a compact, denser canopy due to earlier light flip • Structural differences will emerge—same genetics, but different timelines = different expressions • Visual comparisons will help us understand Mango Kush’s phenotypic range What not to expect: • Uniform results—they’re the same strain, but on very different developmental clocks • Aggressive training—due to the timeline, we’re letting them grow mostly unmanipulated ⸻ 📣 Final Words – Community & Curiosity We thank you all for reading, growing, and following this journey with us. ✨ Every grow is a conversation between light, root, leaf, and time. And we’re sharing it all. ⸻ With light, love, and the rhythm of two sisters in sync but not the same, Dog Doctor 📲 Don’t forget to Subscribe and follow me on Instagram and YouTube @DogDoctorOfficial for exclusive content, real-time updates, and behind-the-scenes magic. She spread her wings this week. Lower leaves widened and color deepened. I added more Bio365 around her base to support the stretch and keep her rooted. No top dress. No sprays. She’s growing in silence, absorbing the rhythm of the light. Every new node a sign she’s preparing. No water was added this week, and the self-watering reservoir was maintained.
