July 20: smoke arrived this morning to go with our heat wave. Awesome. Extra watering, misting air, and wetting the sides of the grow bags with hose water to keep things cooler and hydrated. So far so good in the heat. Did foliar spray of Extreme Blend and potassium silicate. Also note that for all my grows I use apple cider vinegar for pH adjustment and a Dr Bronners liquid soap as a wetting agent (surfactant). Euphoria is doing great, but to ensure that it finishes early enough for this latitude (53N) where the UV light gets very weak after mid-August, I’m starting the force flowering tonight. Already starting to flower but I want a strong flower set and as much flower growth under strong sunlight as possible. Force flowering schedule is 2-3 weeks of in dark garage at 9 pm followed by 730 nm far red light and then back out at 7 am. The light initiates dark mode 2 h faster so it’s like having a 26 h day. Good trick use as a bloom booster, also moves up the finish 2-4 weeks. So, 10+2 is 12 h dark and 14 h daylight. Might sound bogus but it works. July 21: first night of force flowering caused a big stretch. Notably stretched after darkness in hot garage overnight. Hot outside overnight too but was much hotter inside garage and recorded here as 24 C. Seems okay and high overnight temperature might be ideal at this early flowering stage. Warm overnight temperatures continue for a few more days. July 22: record hot overnight low forecast for tonight of 24 C and feels like 27 C with humidity. Wow, that is really incredible for here and 13 C above historic average. July 26: six days into flowering and she is doing fine. 👍👍

Changed into bigger pots and added the chemical bride

I went on business trip for 5 days. Neighbor watered the plants. Must dehumidify better as I had 85% max. at 24°C. NYC Sour D #1: Has developed quite well. Many small branches. A few stunted leaves. But she is growing ok. #2: Still one of the problem child. Small growth, some slightly deformed and discolored leaves. Wait and see how it develops. Royal Cookies Auto #1: Best development in the last 5 days. Many small new branches. Largest plant, no signs of light stress. Let's see if I will water more yet. #2: I am also very satisfied with the development. Slightly smaller than #1, but completely ok. Royal Haze Auto #1: Also a problem child. The main stem has not developed any new leaves. Thus, I topped her, so that the secondary stems would develop accordingly. The leaves don't look too good. I'll let her grow and decide before flowering whether to remove her. #2: Actually quite good so far. Growing a bit stunted, but so far okay. Light settings 45% dimmer at 45 cm distance Between 450 and 615 ppfd. Seems to work well as they are not growing too fast and have no signs of light stress.

The free sample of Platinium nutrient look to be expired, crystallization of potassium. It can be the source of K deficiency. Dumping the "Grow" bottle, starting the bloom nutrients a little bit early to maintain the EC. Unfortunately the "Bloom" bottle is crystallized to, now I use a mix of Platinium & Plagron to preserve the nutrition needed by the plants. Why don't buy new bottles ? Because the next run will be full hydroponic, currently I'm just finishing the soil/coco nutrients.

June 7: i think Mimosa Shot likes it to be a bit warmer but she’s doing alright. Long daylight hours now and warm enough so she should make up for a slow-ish start. June 9: loose scrog net is doing the job of keeping the growth tips exposed to light. Very effective. Re-arrange it a bit as needed as the plant grows. No need to even tie it off as the weight of the string is enough. Video is a tip about keeping leaves moist in dry air. Plants are much happier when their leaves also get some moisture to make up for the low humidity. June 12: looks good.

Week one feeding nutrients and every other day watering

This was an amazing experience for my first grow. Was super unsure of what I was going to yield, but I think 27 grams is a realistic harvest and Im looking forward to see if I can get bit larger of a yield on the next run. I want to try main-lining, see for better energy distribution and more equal bud growth. Also investment into a proper reflector and possibly enclosed space. Note- I trimmed my plant the night before harvest morning. I removed than fan leaves to start, and then proceeded to trim the plant. I pulled out a lot of the leaves with no frost by hand. The sugar leaves had so much crystal on it I thought I would leave the smaller ones on the bud. I gave it a light trim, and used all the trim to make Isopropyl Alcahol (99%) based extract. Got about 1 gram from the run. I also had a nice little ball of finger charas from the trimming. I harvested it in the morning at about 04:30 am before the light cycle triggered at 7am. She hung and dried for about a week, where I then chopped her into buds. She cured for 2 weeks before i started smoking. Ask anything you want to know! Another easy week. I'm heading into autumn so I'm having some temp and humidity fluctuations. Nothing too crazy. Hash plant and Zed black are cruising to the finish. Some hash plants will finish over the next couple days. The Zed blacks are looking like they need 1.5 weeks. Hash plant smelling like diesel, spicy hash, tennis balls Zed black smelling like rotten fruit and lemons. I got about 3 keepers I want to use for breeding. Along with the two rainbow belts it's a nice stock to work with. The males are revenged. I will be transplanting into larger pots and flipping to flower while I reveg the selected flowers after harvest

Very interesting strain from Barney’s. Let’s see what kind of pheno can we pin from this batch. I have seen some crazy colorful ones. Terpene profile should also be super complex. Just think about it Gelato, zkittlez, layer cake, crazy mix.
