All goes well looks like the big Tropicanna plant is maturing so probably about two more weeks for her....better photographs will come next week. I spray them every second day with CannaCure or a hydrogen peroxide solution to be safe from the moldy buds. The SE7000 runs at 550 Watt and about 35cm from the canopy and is doing an astounding job. This is how things are looking at the end of Week 3 of Flower. Really happy with the way the ladies are looking, only complaint is the growth. Don't think I have done a good job at transplanting this time around.

6/29/2021 - New mains for quadlining growing out nicely since topping. - Watered with un-PH'd de-chlorinated tap water. - Foliar fed with DIY kelp extract. - She's jumping out the gym, very excited. - It's been 5 weeks of alternating DIY nutrient teas (coconut water + kelp extract + neem & karanja extract + water) and un-PH'd Toronto tap water, and I've seen no signs of deficiencies or lockouts. - She's taking well to the various DIY foliar sprays as well, no burning. 7/1/2021 - I think one of my bottle sprayers is infected with butyric acid, 'cause it stinks in here, loll. - SHE WANTS TO GROOOWWW! 7/4/2021 - Growth a week after topping is strong. Hoping the auxins in the kelp foliar, and nutrients in coconut water are responsible. - I barely need to train her right now, it's as if she wanted to be topped. Besides some periodic light bending, she seems to be leveling out her branches herself.

I wished that I could've done things a little different but the end result was fiiire! Taste like Peaches when you give it a nice 4 week cure. Wish that I could've yielded more. But experience will overcome all my flaws. But it will only get better.

From what I've learnt since, by defoliating and not ensuring sufficient reserves in the Substrate after taking their reserves from the bigger fan leaves at strip, this left 1 pheno more hungry than the others, but still all 4 suffered to some degree which was really disappointing. I was too busy enjoying the festive period with family so its a good enough excuse! ;)

Environmental Conditions We’re keeping things dialed in with stable environmental parameters: Temperature: 20.7°C Humidity: 57.2% CO2 Levels: 1569 PPM (a bit high but manageable) VPD: 1.05 kPa PPFD: 355 µmol/m²/s Each of these factors plays a crucial role in maximizing plant efficiency, and we’ll go deeper into why these values are set as they are. This plant was left in the corner and never had too much attention the toot system was not so good But! It’s very nice and dense with a potent smell of lime can’t wait to try. For sure Dutch passion is one of the best breeders I’ve used .. happy growing

This one has me confused, she seems to be stuck on the first week of flowering, while she revegs she seems to love defoliation or like Monday’s Blue she is in good grow medium, because Blue and Unknown share the same grow medium, she really surprised me how far she has grown, she is one of my tallest lady with less soil 2nd to Blue. The crazy part is she got a heavy trim before leaving for a month, then I defoliated again and a High Stress one, when I got back, she recovered and forced me again to give her another defoliating session a heavy one to add,and had to do it because she was depriving Mexican Peach Punch with light, resulting in her having an even bud development, one side grows faster than the other. I hope this trim will force her to focus on bud development.

The golden ratio emerges in discussions regarding quantum gravity, black hole physics, and even the potential shape of the universe (a dodecahedron based on 1.618) The geometry is considered fractal, meaning it can be scaled infinitely while maintaining its fundamental properties and structure.

In 1995, scientists placed human DNA inside a sealed, air tight tube with photons. Without the DNA, the photons arranged themselves in a random scattered pattern, but when the DNA was inserted, the photons formed an alignment. Are there metaphysical, multidimensional aspects to our DNA? Have we just begun to understand what DNA is and what it represents? Vladimir Poponin is a well known Russian scientist who in 1995, with his colleagues, including biophysicist Peter Gariaev, conducted a very interesting experiment during their time at the Russian Academy of Sciences. In their paper (P.P. Gariaev and V.P. Poponin. Vacuum DNA phantom effect in vitro and its possible rational explanation. Nanobiology 1995 (in press)), Poponin states, in the introduction of the report, that, “We believe this discovery has tremendous significance for the explanation and deeper understanding of the mechanisms underlying subtle energy phenomena including many of the observed alternative healing phenomena.” Why did he feel this way? We will get to that. Poponin and Gariaev tested the behaviour of DNA on photons, little tiny bits of matter, in the “quantum” that our world is made up of. They put photons into a tube specially designed to simulate a vacuum, just like the vacuum of space. With no air inside, they inserted the photons as they wanted to see what they did and how they behaved. The photons were distributed in a way that was completely unordered and random, scattered all over the container. This of course was what the team of researchers expected. Next, samples of human DNA were placed inside the tube with the photons, and what happened next is what’s truly mysterious. The photons reacted to the DNA, and changed their pattern and formed a specific alignment. In the presence of living material, the human DNA, the photons organized! This signified that the DNA was clearly having a direct influence over the photons. It’s one of many examples hypothesizing that something within us has a direct affect on the physical material matter outside of us. This experiment was repeated and confirmed, and it was further observed that human DNA has a direct affect on the quantum ‘stuff’ that our world is made up of. Fascinating to say the least. The Next Big Surprise The next big surprise was observed when the researchers removed the DNA from the container. The scientists assumed that the photons would simply return to their original scattered state, but this didn’t happen. Instead, the photons remained ordered as if the DNA were still in the tube. Poponin described the light as behaving “surprisingly and counter-intuitively.” The researchers hypothesized and were “forced to accept the working hypothesis that some new field structure is being excited.” Is there something being left behind? Something in non-physical form? This experiment tells us that DNA is communicating with the ‘stuff’ our world is made of, and that there is some sort of invisible field that exists. Perhaps DNA represents a place of storage and communications to the past? To the future? To others in the universe who have left their mark, so to speak. Who knows. Quantum Physics and Consciousness Nobel laureate of the twentieth century Richard Feynman once said, with regards to quantum mechanics, “we choose to examine a phenomenon which is impossible, absolutely impossible, to explain in any classical way, and which has in it the heart of quantum mechanics. In reality, it contains the only mystery.” Another great quote that comes to mind anytime the world of science dives deep into the mysterious world of quantum physics: There seems to be a deep concern that the whole field will be tarnished by studying a phenomenon that is tainted by its association with superstition, spiritualism and magic. Protecting against this possibility sometimes seems more important than encouraging scientific exploration or protecting academic freedom. But this may be changing.” – Cassandra Vieten, PhD and President/CEO at the Institute of Noetic Sciences. The reason why the association with superstition, spiritualism and magic mentioned in the quote above exists when it comes to examining certain phenomenon is simply because the observed phenomenon is unexplainable. But it’s important to remember, just because something is unexplainable does not mean that it’s not real, it simply means we don’t fully understand it yet. Academia has a long history of rejecting phenomenon, that’s clearly real, yet simply unexplainable. Quantum physics clearly has a strong connection to consciousness and metaphysical phenomenon. Max Planck, a physicist who originated quantum theory, regarded consciousness as “fundamental,” and matter as “derivative from consciousness.” He said that “we cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness.” This has been demonstrated quite clearly by multiple experiments, like the quantum double slit experiment. A paper published in the peer-reviewed journal Physics Essays by Dean Radin, PhD, explains how this experiment has been used multiple times to explore the role of consciousness in shaping the nature of physical reality. In this experiment, a double-slit optical system was used to test the possible role of consciousness in the collapse of the quantum wave-function. Photons were shot through two slits, in multiple different ways. The study found that factors associated with consciousness “significantly” correlated in predicted ways with perturbations in the double slit interference pattern. In this experiment, tiny bits of matter (photons, electrons, or any atomic-sized object) are shot towards a screen that has two slits in it. On the other side of the screen, a high-tech video camera records where each photon lands. When scientists close one slit, the camera will show us an expected pattern, as seen in the video below. But when both slits are opened, an “interference pattern” emerges — they begin to act like waves. You can refer to the actual study to find out more about that if you want to see a visual demonstration of the quantum double slit experiment. The point is, consciousness changes the behaviour of the particles. “Observation not only disturbs what has to be measured, they produce it. We compel the electron to assume a definite position. We ourselves produce the results of the measurement.” The study cited above points out that “factors associated with consciousness, such as meditation experience, electrocortical markers of focused attention, and psychological factors including openness and absorption, significantly correlated in predicted ways with perturbations in the double-slit interference pattern. The results appear to be consistent with a consciousness-related interpretation of the quantum measurement problem.” The Takeaway DNA is fascinating, and it’s probably the least understood part of our biology. There are definitely interesting metaphysical non-material aspects to our DNA, and changes to our DNA can come as a result of our thoughts, feelings, and emotions alone. HeartMath researchers have shown that physical aspects of DNA strands could be influenced by human intention. The article, Modulation of DNA Conformation by Heart-Focused Intention – McCraty, Atkinson, Tomasino, 2003 – describes experiments that achieved such results.

WEEK 15 - 15/5/2021 - 21/5/2021 16/5/2021 - 2.5ml/L Florakleen mixed with 5 gal of water for each res tank. This will run for 48 hours followed with Neem oil + Chitosan + hydroguard top feeding. 18/5/2021 - I decided to go back to manual top fertigation. Mainly because I've been noticing several leaves on Moby dick and Critical Jack yellowing and older leaves seem to be showing multiple nutrition issues. So the usual diagnosis of nutrient lockout again then. Together with Fungus gnat issue, I think it's best to top fertigate until harvest. Minimal defoliation done and several small lower branches removed for Moby dick plant 4. 19/5/2021 - 10 gal water mixed with the following: Liquid silicon - 1ml/L - 38ml Cal Mag - 2.5ml/Gal - 25ml Micro - 2.5ml/Gal - 25ml Gro - 0.5ml/Gal - 5ml Bloom -4ml/Gal - 40ml Chitosan - 1ml/L - 38ml Hydroguard - 2ml/gal - 40ml Neem Oil - 3ml/L - 114ml pH - 5.9 EC - 1.08 mS/cm T - 25 All 8 pots drenched with the neem oil mix. 20/5/2021 - All 8 pots drenched with the neem oil mix again. Mixing neem oil with other nutrients may not have been a good idea. After a day, the sight and smell is just horrible. Looks like cheese curd floating around. Next time if needed, I'll just water the neem oil separately with the nutrient mix. It was truly a bitch to clean the whole container. So oily and stinky.

Diese Woche bekommen die Kleinen erstmals Plagron Power Roots. An Tag 3 dieser Woche sind sie 7,5, 7 und 5cm hoch. Die Kleinste wurde etwas tiefer eingepflanzt, wächst aber auch etwas kompakter als die anderen. Weiß nicht ob es daran liegt. In dieser Woche wird umgetopft und das erste Topping durchgeführt. Es bleibt nur eine Pflanze im Zelt. Die Auserwählte kommt direkt in den finalen Topf. An Tag 7 wurden die Pflanzen getoppt. Der Plan war erst eine Pflanze auf 60x60 zu growen, Demnächst werden die 3 aber in ein 80x80 Zelt umziehen.

🌿 Lava Cake – Week 5 (First Week Flower) | Pre-Bloom & Heat Talk 🌿 The Lava Cakes have officially stepped into their flowering tent… though, to be fair, they’re still enjoying a little extra veg time before showing pistils. Both phenos are healthy, lush, and stretching beautifully, clearly ready for the show ahead. ⸻ 📸 Photo Studio Glam We took them out for another studio shoot, bright lights, clean background, and every angle showing off their deep greens and perfect branching. Soon, their beauty will be dressed in flowers, but for now, the leaf structure alone is worthy of the spotlight. ⸻ 🌡️ Current Conditions • Room Temp: 31°C • Humidity: 50.3% • VPD: 2.23 kPa • PPFD: 766 µmol/m²/s • Soil EC: ~2.0 • Soil Temp: 25.6°C Yes, the temperature is running hot — AC unit is on the way to lock it back into our ideal zone. ⸻ 💬 Heat in the Grow Room – Risks & Benefits Potential Risks: • Faster substrate drying = more frequent irrigation needed • Higher transpiration rates can stress plants if roots can’t keep up • Slightly increased risk of light stress at high PPFD without proper cooling • Possible reduced terpene retention if sustained into late flower Possible Benefits (short term in veg/pre-flower): • Accelerated metabolism — plants grow and stretch faster • Increased water/nutrient uptake (if well-fed and watered on time) • Can improve CO₂ usage efficiency if levels are high enough Bottom line: As long as they’re hydrated, fed, and ventilated, short bursts of high temp are manageable. But for flowering, we want to keep daytime temps closer to 24–28°C for optimal quality. ⸻ 💧 Watering Strategy We water when the soil dries to about 25% moisture remaining, this encourages: • Stronger root growth searching for water • Better oxygenation of the root zone • Less risk of root rot in warm temps Right now: They’re drinking daily due to the heat, so we’re feeding daily as well. ⸻ Current Feeding (per L of water) • Aptus Regulator – 0.15 ml • Aptus CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml • Aptus All-in-One Liquid – 1 ml • Aptus Top Booster – 0.25 ml With the increased drinking rate, nutrient uptake has increased — meaning no signs of deficiency, just steady lush green. ⸻ 🚀 Looking Ahead • AC installation will stabilize temps, allowing tighter VPD control • First signs of pistils should appear within the next 7–10 days • We’ll begin adjusting feed ratios for early bloom once flowers set • Light intensity will climb further as stretch continues ⸻ 💚 Closing Note: This week is all about momentum, heat or no heat, the Lava Cakes are pushing upward, prepping themselves for a heavy flower load. The third week started with repotting. I'm using the 14 liter (3.7 gallons) Airmaxx airpots again. The second coblamp was turned on and both lights were dimmed to a total of 132 watt at 48 cm(18.9 inches) from the plants on the first day of the week, giving a DLI of 23. 4 days later the power was raised to 140 watt and the distance was lowered to 45 cm(17.7 inches), giving a DLI of 26.5 and it stayed that way for the rest of the week. The lowest 1 finger leaves and the lowest shoots were removed on day 20. Next week I'm going to top them. Day 15, day of repotting, I gave them 200 ml of ph adjusted tapwater with Plagron Power Roots (ec 0.5 – ph 6.1) each. The next 2 days were dry. Day 18 I gave them 300 ml of ph adjusted tapwater with Plagron nutrients (amounts see above) each. The next 2 days were dry again. On the last day of the week I gave them 400 ml of the same solution they received on day 18. Twice this week I gave them a shower with CannaCure. I added 40 ml to 200 ml tapwater (ph 6) to make the spray solution. Temperatures fluctuated between 21.5 – 26.3 °C (70.7 – 79.3 °F) and humidity between 41 – 84 % That's about it for this week.
