The double kush cake has gone through stress with a little bit of bleached leaves and red veins heat spots on the leaves all due to heat stress which has caused her to stunt So I have relocated her to her original spot as it is cooler. She is still growing under the light distance of 60cm. The double kush cake is receiving 100ml of fluids every three days she stands approximately 52cm from the soil.

Another good week with more growth, but not as big as I would like, so I moved the lights up higher halfway through the week. I also moved the fan onto a corner post and got bigger pots that I will transplant into this week. After topping last week, you can see new main stems starting. I also found out they need to be fed more than every other day as on friday morning a couple were a bit droopy. After feeding, later in the day, they had perked back up. 12/3/23 - Day 27 - Hello All! Today I was able to catch the water change as it all happened. I have a video that I uploaded above. Here we are going into week 5. Shes growing fast and her branches are close together. Not much going on other than letting this LEAF box do its thing. I'll keep it updated with pictures as we go along. I still have leftover nutrients from the last grow. The A-nute is getting close to being gone. So I replaced it with the A-Nutes that I had purchased to start this grow. Replacing them is super easy. Another water change day in the books! 12/5/23 - Day 29 - I did some cleaning up on the branches. I removed a lot of the fan leaves. I do plan on cleaning it up a little more but I wanted to give her a moment to recover. However, I am starting to think that it does not matter. So far with both of the grows I have done in this LEAF box. When I trim the plant and I think it's going to cause an slow down, I'm wrong. So far I have yet to see a bad result from trimming her. It's almost like the plant likes it better immediately and starts to stretch out and get bigger. 12/7/23 - Day 31 - I noticed there are pistles already forming. I spoke with someone about how quickly that was and they said that I should wait to flip them to flower. Autos are kind of known to start flower when they are stressed. I forsure stressed her out when I just put a huge trim on her. Ill give it another few days to see if the pistles continues to pop up or slow down.

Tenth week of flowering started. I went out a week and at my return I discovered that the #2 is sick. The plant doesn't drink anymore and a lot of branches are falling down with limp leaves. I think that the missing defoliation, the height and the poor ventilation caused that. At the moment I removed her from the tent moving her out to the balcony. I did a huge defoliation to the #1 and a massive LST in order to low the height of buds that reached the lamp that is at its maximum height. So far I gave to the plant only water. I think that the cause of plant disease is the high humidity level (at least 90%...). Tomorrow I will buy a dehumidifier hoping that this will help the remaining plant. D63: changed the water into the pot. Added 15 ml grow, 30ml micro and 40ml bloom. [email protected] EC 1.2 D64: after the defoliation the plant seems to be healthy. The humidity into the tent is still high, tomorrow I will install the dehumidifier. D65: I've put a dehumidifier into the tent, I've added 3 liters of tap water to the pot; the plant is drinking a lot so I think that she is fine. The plants produces a lot of fat buds, so I've checked the trichomes for the first time, they are clear for the majority. D67: added 5 liters of tap water to the pot. The plant is drinking a lot

On the 13th day after the seeds were planted, I dropped an oscillating fan in the grow tent and spilled one of these Dosidos 33 out of her pot and onto the floor of the tent. I panicked and tried to pick up the little seedling and bits of soil and replace it in the pot as well as I could, but I was convinced I'd killed one of my plants. Within a couple days you wouldn't have known anything happened. I'm so glad she survived, because she grew into a beautiful purple plant that ended up finishing early.

Esta semana voy a escribir sobre: CARBÓN VEGETAL ACTIVADO CON MICROORGANISMOS DE MONTAÑA. esta es una práctica avanzada pues al menos se necesita tener el inóculo sólido de Microorganismos de Montaña (MMS), aunque al final intentaré dar otras opciones para aquellos que no tengan MMS. Puedes consultar en la semana 3 la manera de hacer Microorganismos de Montaña Sólidos (MMS): https://growdiaries.com/diaries/134104-grow-journal-by-defharo/week/725879 El carbón vegetal es un excelente componente para toda clase se mezclas de sustrato, tiene varias propiedades muy interesantes, ayuda a la estructuración del suelo y la creación de humus, es un regulador térmico en lugares fríos, favorece la expansión de las raíces y su estructura de microporos promueve la retención de humedad y nutrientes, se dice que en 1cm cúbico de carbón puede contener de 8 a 30 millones de Microorganismos. Y es precisamente la propiedad de retención de humedad y nutrientes, de la que se aprovecha esta práctica. El carbón vegetal llamado "activado" que se usa en filtros de agua o aire, tiene mala fama entre los aficionados a las peceras, porque se dice que roba nutrientes, principalmente Nitrógeno, esto tiene una explicación y no es un problema para cultivo en macetas, el carbón seco tiende a absorber humedad y los nutrientes que se encuentra en el sustrato o en los riegos, porque es muy poroso, y de repente, tiene que saturar todos sus microporos, pero esto apenas va a tener incidencia en un cultivo. En mi caso lo que hago es mezclar el carbón con los Microorganismos Sólidos y después lo humedezco con agua y melaza para activar la Microbiología del inóculo, dándole la energía necesaria, de esta manera tengo un carbón inoculado con Microorganismos de Montaña, y una vez en el sustrato, con humedad, estos MM, se propagarán. En este caso el carbón, de momento, no captura nutrientes porque está saturado, pero después de unos riegos, será la casa perfecta donde los Microorganismos y los nutrientes convivirán ofreciendo una fuente extra de nutrientes, para que las raíces se alimenten en periodos de escasez de alimento o humedad. Supongo que quien tenga inóculos bacterianos comerciales, podría usar esta práctica para multiplicarlos. INGREDIENTES BÁSICOS: Agua pura: 500ml Carbón vegetal, para usarlo en macetas conviene que los trozos de carbón no sean grandes. 750 gramos. Melaza: 75g Microorganismos de Montaña Sólidos (MMS): 225g PROCEDIMIENTO: Se mezcla el carbón y los Microorganismos sólidos. Se disuelve la melaza en el agua. Se humedece el carbón lentamente, mezclándolo bien, porque el carbón vegetal puede almacenar mucha humedad y necesita tiempo para saturarse. Se guarda a oscuras durante un mes en un recipiente cerrado. Hasta aquí la fórmula básica, yo hago algunos añadidos, como se puede ver en las fotos. Añado 260g de Leonardita, que es un carbón vegetal con millones de años y en el proceso de convertirse en mineral, aunque todavía no lo es, es además, la mayor fuente de ácidos húmicos y comparte las propiedades del carbón. Añado Microorganismos de Montaña Activados (MMA) de forma líquida para aumentar la inoculación de microbiología, también un lacto fermento de frutas que aporta muchas vitaminas, nutrientes y enzimas... en la última foto se ve el recipiente después de un mes. Siguiendo el principio de saturación previa de los poros del carbón, para mezclas de sustratos, y sin tener acceso a microbiología, se podría, por ejemplo, saturar el carbón con alguna mezcla nitrogenada para el comienzo del cultivo, después el carbón seguirá cumpliendo sus funciones de estructuración de suelos, creación de humus y para retener humedad y nutrientes.
