10 weeks old today. Flowers are getting thicker and thicker as harvest is near. Plants are receiving stored rainwater and have noticed they aren’t drinking as much as just a few days ago. The smaller plant is a little further along than its larger roommate but I really need to cut them down together. I’d imagine maybe another week until they get cut. 9-21 very soon will be harvested. Doing my best to insure they are at their peak. Decided to wash the buds since they spend a lot of time in the backyard. Thanks everyone for your input. 9-22 first day of autumn. Plants seems to be to be doing well. A touch of light burn but not bad. Probably going to wait till Friday to harvest at 11 weeks. Still hot here but gradually getting better. 9-24. Continue to flush the plants with stored rainwater. Both are looking healthy as they will be harvested in 2 days after a cold front passes with lower temps and humidity.

Start of week 6. Week 5 went really well, this girl also got an extra 2 liter feeding on day 6 of 7 this week and it really shows with less droopage in the leaves and less yellowing and dying of leaves. The smell is a sweet earthy fragrance and the stickyness is great! Bud sites are filling in nicely!

Sticky Rice is looking good so far. The leaves are a nice dark green and it's growing at a steady pace. I'm excited to see it get a little bigger so I can start training the branches. This strain's supposed to stretch a lot, so I want to make sure it has plenty of room to grow.

As for texture, prefer greasy over grainy trichome heads. - [19:53]: Using a pair of trimmers, I gently clipped a small bud sample from each plant. --- All samples were cut within the mid-canopy (in-between the scrog nettings). --- Using a USB microscope (attached to my phone), I carefully examined each bud sample for trichomes. - [19:57]: First Chill Out OG #2, --- Trichomes were looking mainly cloudy with some clear. Surprisingly could not find any amber. --- On the finger rub, the trichome texture was sticky and grainy with a grape-vitamin earthy terpene profile. - [20:14]: As for Heady OG BX1 #1, --- Trichome heads were looking about the same with mainly cloudy with a bit of clear. --- On the finger rub, the trichome texture was greasy with a lemon-pine-sol gasoline terpene profile. - [20:21]: Last but not least, for TKO #2, --- Trichome heads were looking about the same as the rest with mainly cloudy with clear. No ambering quite yet. --- On the finger rub, the trichome texture was greasy with kushy/earthy fuel terpenes. --- Plan to check again in about 10 or so days. --- Need to set a harvest day which will probably be in a few weeks. - [20:36]: Checked the humidifiers. --- Tanks are still full and no leaks found. The buds weren’t the biggest I’ve grown, but this is hands down one of the stickiest strains I’ve ever cultivated. They’re absolutely drenched in trichomes and have a dense, heavy structure. This run produced two distinct phenos: the middle plant had a more indica-like structure with chunky, compact buds, while the others leaned toward a sativa-dominant, airier build. One of the highlights of this grow was the range of colors the plants showed off during flowering—super eye-catching. Trimming was a breeze too, thanks to a nice balance of sugar leaves that made the job quick and clean compared to some other strains. I’m storing the buds in a stainless steel, airtight container without using Boveda or similar humidity packs. Thanks to the DryFerm bags, the humidity has been holding steady at 61% RH, so there’s no need for extra regulation.

Harvested 2 of 8 plants today. 90% or more trichomes were white with a few amber here or there. All pistils brown on the 2. 2 more plants should be ready within 2 days. The others are still a week out.
