Grow Diary Update: Week 5 - Pre-Flowering and LST Evaluation Entering Pre-Flowering Stage At the end of last week, the first pistils appeared, marking the beginning of the pre-flowering stage for my plants 🙌 There's much to manage now. To support optimal stretching, I've adjusted the nutrients following 2/3 of the Terra Aquatica feeding schedule: CalMag: 2 ml/l (Starting EC before adding nutrients: 0.45 mS/cm) Grow: 1.33 ml/l Bloom: 1.0 ml/l Micro: 1.33 ml/l The nutrient solution now has an EC of 1.3 mS/cm (638 ppm PPM-500/TDS) with a pH of 6.1. These adjustments aim to promote vigorous growth and prepare the plants for flowering. Weather and Growth With significant weather improvements, my plants are thriving at full speed. Every centimeter gained now counts towards maximizing the final yield, turning around from the challenging weeks prior. Pest Management I'm fortunate not to have encountered pests like spider mites, aphids, or thrips. However, the persistent snail issue remains. Nightly patrols with a flashlight have been effective, and placing old lettuce leaves away from the plants has helped trap and remove snails, ensuring the plants remain undisturbed. LST Experiment Results The two plants I trained with LST have responded admirably, showing healthy adaptation to the bending and vigorous growth. Yet, I'm at a crossroads regarding the upcoming stretch phase: should I continue to tie down branches to maintain an even canopy or allow natural upward growth to potentially boost vertical yield? This has been an unusual week. 2 plants are still growing bigger than the other 2, but all are not extending out, but merely creating a tight bunch. And on 2 of them, the leaves are not a nice green, but sort of a drab green almost brown or yellow. I thought I might be over watering, so I have cut that back, and manually putting in some extra when I take my pictures. I also added a bit of nutes to see if that helped, but nothing seems to have changed.

Not an overly impressive strain and I would say she was not that hard to grow. If I even grew this one again I would let it go naturally with some LST. Wanted more grape flavours but they don't really come through in the smoke. There's a bit of a sharp fruity smell that's sort of piney with a hint of fuel at the end. The smoke is not too flavourful in my opinion but that just means I didn't grow it well. Super tight nugs so be careful with humidity as stated above. Also she's a bit of a light feeder so be careful with your nutes. As you can see I burnt her tips and over fed her a lot. Not a bad yield though! I've only really smoked the lowers on this one so far so that gave me a bit of a racey high, just slightly racey. I would accredit that to the lowers not being mature enough at chop. The plant is super dense and since I mainlined it the lowers didn't receive enough light. I tried to let the lowers mature more but the plant stopped maturing when I chopped the tops, this caused stress and the plant just shut down basically. Not sure if I would grow Blimburn's GDP again until I grow the real GDP.

Hey guys. This week I ended up moving my 2x2 tent into the shed. Well, that didn't last too long. It got way to hot in the tent and then got to how int the tent. I don't have an AC unit attached to the tent.

At the end of week 10 the 18 CANNALOPE HAZE plants from DNA-GENETICS are ready to harvest. The plants have all started to fade and get yellow leaves and hardly have any whit pistils anymore. I check the trichomes with a handheld microscope and see that they have all turned milky and some even amber...now is the PERFECT MOMENT to harvest them, they have reached PEAK-THC now. The colas on each plant are HUGE and COVERED IN TRICHOMES. A strong 'hazy' aroma is filling out the tent, its an earthy and mildly sweet smell, very enticing, I cant wait to try my medicine after its dry. The plants on the left side under the LUMATEK ZEUS 600W PRO are less uniform (=some are taller, some are smaller) and less compact than on the other side. The right side under the two SANlight Q6W-Gen.2 LED-lamps has grown more uniform (all plants have almost the same height) and with more compact buds. The trichome production was very good on both sides, the quality of the buds is OUTSTANDING!

Took 2 clones from my sunset sherbet this week towards the end of the week. There continues to be explosive growth with this plant. I plan on switching to flower in a month or so and we will find out how she really performs.

Que pasa familia, vamos con la segunda semana de floracion de estas Rainbow Melon feminizada de fastbuds. Vamos al lío, de las 3 plantas, me quede con 2 por espacio, siempre pongo alguna semilla de más por si no abriese alguna por no perder ese hueco del indoor. También se trasplantaron a su maceta definitiva, en este caso de 7 litros. Tenían algo de shock por el trasplante pero ya fue solucionado. El ph se controla en 6.2 , la temperatura la tenemos entre 20/22 grados y la humedad ronda el 50%. Hasta aquí todo, Buenos humos 💨💨💨

Veg17, riego 1.3 EC y pH 6.1. Se hizo una muy pequeña defoliación y corte de algunos nodos para empezar a moldear la estructura. Veg18, un par de horas después del LST ya están mostrando la estructura deseada. Veg21, ajuste de LST. Veg22, riego 6.1 pH y EC 1.5.

This strain grows beautifully in my opinion! It has a short, stocky, thick stem and grows medium/short and wide in stature. It sports beautiful purple buds that smell IDENTICAL to blueberry muffins! These plants were an easy grow and are very disease/pest resistant. One of my favorites for sure!

Hoy comienzo con el ciclo de luz de floración 12/12. Las plantas se han desarrollado muy bien hasta ahora, sin mostrar problemas, signos de plagas, ni enfermedades. Estoy evaluando si instalar una red de soporte (Scrog) o no. Personalmente, no lo considero imprescindible, pero he leído que ayuda a sostener las punteras a medida que crecen y evita que las ramas se caigan o se rompan. Sin embargo, dado que las plantas han crecido bien hasta ahora, no estoy seguro si será necesario. Más allá de eso, estoy muy emocionado por comenzar la floración y ver cuánto durará, ya que puede variar entre 8 y 12 semanas. Today I’m starting the 12/12 flowering light cycle. The plants have been developing very well so far, showing no issues, signs of pests, or diseases. I’m considering whether or not to install a scrog net. Personally, I don’t think it’s essential, but I’ve read that it helps support the colas as they grow and prevents branches from falling or breaking. However, since the plants have grown well so far, I’m not sure if it will be necessary. That said, I’m really excited to start flowering and see how long it lasts, as it can vary between 8 to 12 weeks.

Overall auch ein toller grow mit vielen learnings. Hab Sie zum Schluss mal 3-4 Tage im Dunkeln und ohne zu gießen stehen lassen, da ich weg war. Entspchend trocken sieht Sie bei der Ernte aus.
