Ok, so it's slowly getting thicker and frostier. At week seven my girl could be ready in anywhere from two weeks to four weeks more. The light was dropped closer to the top of the canopy. I decided to try 15 cm of distance, as well four 50W LEDs are not as powerful as the 600W HID or LED panels that are usually used in grow tents. I will of course keep an eye for signs of light and heat stress, but I suspect that won't be a problem. Update Day 89. Today I decided to turn the plant around to see the back colas and their growth. Then I found some mites under the leaves after examining weird spots in a couple of leaves. It seems to me that there was not enough airflow to deter the mites from making home in the back leaves, when compared to the front leaves of my plant. Lesson learnt, rotate plant often, ensure good and even airflow. I didn't find any webs beside a really small one seen on the video (most affected leaf). So, I think I found them mites early. I only found this kind of damage on very few leaves, and each leave contained less than 8 mites (at least that I could see) and a couple of eggs. So it seems that paying close attention to my leaves saved me from an out of control infestation. Anyhow... I removed all of the leaves that had even a single mite, or a single mark of discoloration. Also, I disinfected the grow tent, top of soil and lower part of the branches by spraying them with a 1/4 tbsp of bleach per liter of water. After that was completely dry, I mixed one part rubbing alcohol with 9 parts water and misted both sides of the leaves and even the buds directly (ethanol evaporates easily, so there shouldn't be residues left after it dries completely). Prevention is key, and some aspects I could've considered before are: 1. not grow any other plant next to my cannabis 2. Don't come into my indoor growtent after tending my outdoor plants. 3. Ensure even and plenty airflow. So, I attacked back strongly. I cut more leaves than those that showed damage, to increase airflow. I will be on the watch for pests and will rotate my plant often, as well as spraying a few times every week, just to make sure they don't come back. I also am going to build a kind of metal wire cage to separate the colas further and make it harder for any pest to spread. Its only my second grow, but from what I've read online about mites, it's way more costly (time and money) to deal with an infestation than to strike them hard early. I guess that specially now that I noticed them before they even made webs. Look closely at your girls growbros ! Update day 90. So this morning I. Becker the trichomes and they seem to have gotten more cloudy. I am not an expert at that, but they are starting to be fewer clear and more milky. I will keep an eye on them, but it think harvest might be here very soon, probably closer to the 9 week mark than to the 12 week one (I'm about to finish the 7th week)...

Really seeing a lot of strong growth out of Jehovas witness. This plant is going to be huge. Can’t wait to run this lady outside in full sunlight. Really feeling like if I had the space each of these ladies would be massive easily pushing the 1lb potential yield envelope to its max the golden gun are different. Started out strong but have since slowed up and the one that was slow is exploding. Really feel like I did these a disservice by not waiting for warmer weather outside.

Flush for the girls now for about 10days with just PH’d water everything is looking well can wait for them to be done and cut down now feels like an eternity!

Even though it says 80 Gallon pot, it’s really 400, it just glitches out when I enter 400 and converts to say only 80. I know she looks bad! I know. She has only been managing a nutrient lockout with horribly low pH for far too long! The Hydrated Lime has indeed fixed the pH! Resulting in my next inbound set of problems. The original soil from the second 2.3L pot she was in was too strong! She needs to get her roots out into the larger pot, but that only gives her so much more space. Plus in that larger black plastic pot, the hot dry sun at 7,000 ft in elevation, really heats up those pots! When it’s 98F later, that sounds like torture! Maybe it was enough to balance out the more concentrated stuff towards the inside of the root mass. But I don’t want her roots to stop there! The time is now for her to go into the 400!!! The soil is 6.5 pH through and through. The peas are about to bloom! She has just avoided lockout and is picking up momentum! The 400 gives her a huge diameter for her roots! Something I sincerely hope her genetics will take advantage of. The soil is rich and alive! The temps in 400 will be so much better! Now I must prepare for my Arch Nemesis! The Butterfly!!!!!! Lol But seriously. They find my plants attractive, and decide to serve my plants as food for their offspring!!!! Not okay! Last year their success rate on my plants was a fat 0!! But they did some serious damage! I am prepared this year!! I will watch with vigilance for any butterflies around my plants specifically. I will spray my plants down regularly with diatomaceous earth! Not too much obviously! I know less is more when spraying that stuff! No mother wants to give her children food with razor blades in it! And as always there is always next year! I can’t let a phase of mice and men get the better of me. However!!… that’s what I said LAST YEAR!!!! Lol. This year IS next year! This is my wife’s and I first grow and we’re really excited about it even though we’re on a super budget! Here’s a few tips about our set up: Our MarsHydro 1000 Broke So we’ve been using multiple factory in workshop LEDs and lights to ghetto rig a budget late set up. Week 8, more and more trichomes everyday

On flush regime, water only, no nutrients, only a soil cleaning solution. Still has some clear trichomes, a few milky and no browns. Guess it has to flower 1 or 2 weeks more. Full history of the setup on week 1.

Half gallon nute feed. Trichomes still a little glassy. Dense budding 👌🏾. 60-65 days for both ladies will open the window. Flushing soon.

For the first time this week I added fertilizer of 0.5 each, and faced a very unpleasant problem, the plant rushed up so much that at the moment the top cola reached the height of the lamp, and the temperature there is quite high, very much afraid that it could damage the plant itself, and It all happened because I did the maine lining, and the central cola went to grow up, I don’t know how to solve this issue, but soon I think I’ll decide this question, wait for 6 weeks!

From there all germinated seeds will go into the rockwool cubes for about a week before being moved into the final grow out pots. From there they will veg for 7-8 weeks before I flip to 12/12 and flower them accordinly. As of today (8th May 2020) I have 3 healthy seedlings from the four seeds I soaked. So now they are up it's officially Game On 🙏 I am still waiting for the Greenhouse Feeding to arrive but thats ok because I won't need it for about a week. I chose 12 Litre Fabric pots because of the height limitations in my Grow tent (need a bigger one but cant afford it at the moment ) as soon as the powdered feeding arrives I'll mix the required amounts straight into the pots so they are ready for when I transplant the seedlings into them.
