For the past month, the humidifier has been an issue putting out way too much humidity; often leaving water in the bottom of the tent. In addition, the temperatures are also out of control. I added an AC last week to keep the temperature below 80. I finally determined the exhaust vent is also broken and has been for some time. AC Infinity does not extend the warranty to the replacement parts. I guess that makes sense since they would be in a state of perpetual free replacements. I bought a new one from Amazon that came with a new controller which is different from the controller 69 currently using. I decided that while it is very inconvenient and inefficient to monitor the tent through the day, I would rather finish this Frostbanger run without introducing a new unknown variable. I will continue using 3 circulating fans, the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This creates a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. It looks like growth has stopped and plant height has been reached. Now is the time for buds to fatten and frost up. All 6 of them are short remaining less than 3 ft. They range from 15 to 31 inches. #4, 5 &6 are showing some fade, particularly #4. Upon opening the tent, a melon smell comes off the buds if I get close, and more stickiness was observed during the process of defoliation. They are living up to the new strain’s name. #5 is the frostiest followed by #2. Wow week 3 of flower and that much frost already. Before FastBuds announced the strain name and characteristics, I was disappointed that FBA2502 could be an indica sleepy strain but the universe provides what you need at the time. The new strain profile indicates a whopping 29%THC with mainly sativa uplifting, euphoric, social effects with sweet fruity flavors which I love and enjoy. In addition, I recently bought a dap press and this strain is frosty and resinous. She will be great to press for live rosin. FBA2502 is FROSTBANGER. This week started out by hooking the autopot res up to begin the gravity feeding, the roots have had plenty of time to establish and give the autopot plenty to work with. Ive also topped the plants, and thinned down the huge fan leaves, these were acting like an umbrella keeping light out out. Already new growth is kicking in and the plants are responding really well to the prune and gravity feeding. The rest of this week is all about tlc and recovery, and what i mean by that is ill be leaving them well alone and giving them some privacy along with some peace and quite while they settle back down and recover their injuries 👍

Sep 1: there might be a bit of lower leaf damage on WP1 after the 2 C night here two nights ago. Otherwise everything seems fine and the buds are progressing. Sep 2: removed some yellowing fan leaves that had been damaged by cold temps. Sep 3: WP1 has finally stopped getting taller and is starting to flower. Good thing too cuz the days get short pretty fast now and it will be iffy as to whether this plant will finish in time. Sep 6: Well, I spoke too soon as WP1 is still getting taller, and it grew 4 inches in 3 days. This far north, it should be flowering not vegging by early September. Oh well. Lots of insect life on WP1 (ladybugs, spider, flys, few ants even) and a few aphids so it seems to be in a balance and the plant is fine. WP2 in the city was force flowered a while ago and is progressing nicely. These are in small 5-gallon pots in an attempt to limit their size and to encourage flowering.

This week the Ams supreme has come along fine, she is as low as i can get her and has probably finished stretching, i had hoped she may have stretched a bit more then she has. All 4 strains in the tent are quite close in development still. Notes Day 50 manually feed this weeks nutes Day 51 nothing Day 52 nothing Day 53 autofeed water. Day 54 nothing Day 55 autofeed this weeks nutes Day 56 big defoliation. 456 ppfd, 29.5 DLi. Back in a week Take it easy.

Chopping Time

Both are still growing healthy beautiful buds but like the rest of the tent, they were a little burned this week. I dimmed down the light. That helped with the temperature as well.

This is towards the end of last week. The BB crosses are doing excellent. They have all gone through some extreme temps with intense temp and RH fluctuations. I’ve concluded that the plants 1 week behind experienced too much heat on this one day when some things came up and I wasn’t around to get them out of the hot sun in time, and they were stunted by excessive heat over 90F. The others didn’t show much signs of stress at all. I’m not giving up on the little ones, but I am giving them a large amount of grace and understanding. They can just continue to grow and do their best. Maybe they will come back into full speed in a week or so. Maybe not. At least I will grow them out to learn what happens. From now on I will be extra careful with all stimuli my seedlings are receiving. Showing sone other plants of same age, some of which are photoperiods that began flowering about a month and a half early, with 15 hours of daylight! Why? My first guess is some form of extreme rodelization. I did notice on both A-Trains that they each had a node with two pollen sacks developing as well as the burst of female bracts. So I nicked off the pollen sacks right away, and I’ve been putting them under a light for the nights to hopefully reveg them. Either way, a fun anecdote for some new knowledge and experience! I’m sure they would bud out Fat! Seeing how much they did in 2-3 days! But maybe there’s other elements at play.

Flower Week 2 Day 14 to 20 - 4/1 to 4/7 Simply watching the stretch from this point. Defoliation is needed by day 20 (4/07) so I removed all but the top 1 or 2 fan leaf sets as well as a few of the lowest branches. The idea here being that I want to mostly lolipop the colas and allow more airflow/light into the center. Feed this week was an auto pot reservoir feed now at 700ppm total before add-ins. I used 175ppm Veg concentrate mix (recipe week 2) and 525ppm Bloom concentrate mix (recipe week 5). However, I also added 1ml/gal of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0) and ph balance this week was for 5.8 where Io plan to maintain it until harvest. Video Post defoliation Next week nutes will increase in Bloom mix again but also eliminate Veg mix. Feed will again be 700ppm before add-ins with 5.8ph before feeding.

Das Topping am 27. Oktober hat den Wuchs geformt und die Basis für das spätere Training gelegt. Die Pflanzen zeigen kräftige Triebe, gesunde Farbe und aktives Wurzelwachstum. Mit dem Umtopfen zum Wochenende beginnt die letzte große Wachstumsphase der Vegi-Stage. Vitales, harmonisches Wachstum, starker Wurzeltrieb, perfekte Vorbereitung für den „großen Umzug“.
