Day 29 - Things going along nicely .... i trimmed down some of the bigger bottom leaves, i didn't have enough soil to fill the pots, and the plants are short, bushy, weird little things, that filled out the inside of the pots..... they are only 15cm tall, but the leaves are 10+ cm .... really weird little plants.... haha.... i decided to trim the fk out of one of the ones in the double pot, and practiced topping on her.... i'll cut her down maybe trimmer her of the pot, and focus on just the 2........ they seem to be still growing upwards, so i'm not in a hurry to put em into flower mode......... on the main one i noticed some neut deficiencies ... so i upped the neuts.... should be ok, i put a good heavy neut and it stopped the spots etc..... i think some bug or something got in the double pot and is livin in there, but he doesn't eat much, haha....... the main stalks are as big as my thumb and under each canopy is all the branches..... it's really strange, to go in under all the growth and see it all .... they look kinda small, but the entire under canopy of leaves is all full .... i'm moving the huge sized leaves out and pulling each branch up over them as they grow..... this is 21 THC and 19 CBD, so it's all the good stuff for medicine ... the smell is getting abit noticable and i'm hoping the exhaust fan arrives from china soon.... just got positive ventilation into a carbon fil. ... and daily air out........ i think i had the led lights too low..... so i'll raise em abit more and see if i can get em to stretch .... There is so much to discuss ! I have been extremely busy as of late trying to get this Harvest together, but i am happy to have it here for you now ! I Seriously under estimated the amount of time, help from others, and my own necessary skills to pull this off.. and i still kind of screwed it up lol ! But its worth noting i have never actually done this before and trying to document it during....was extremely hard. It is next to impossible to work an iPhone with rubber gloves on ! First I want to discuss everything step by step so before you jump straight into the comments on how the end product is so small in "quantity" Rest assured i am happy with its"quality"...and thats all that matters to me because Life is a journey not a destination! and i have learned so much from this grow that I couldn't be any happy even if i messed some things up :) But at the very least I hope you read through this entry in its entirety with an open mind and focus more on the process, rather than just the outcome! I ran out of Ice & i was only able to wash three times..(normally I've heard you should go sometimes 5-6 washes) Preparation is Key & things will be much better next round :) Photos 1-22 These are pretty self explanatory but for those of you just tuning in now.. this is what happens to a very happy plant when you don't have the necessary tools to monitor key components of growing cannabis.. Ph, as well as EC levels play a very key role in the outcome of your grow lol that being said I was just able to save this plant by purchasing both tools but that doesn't mean the plant didn't suffer because of the prior events.. This was a Huge reason behind me choosing to turn this harvest into what i would consider "Solventless Hash Rosin" from "Ice water extracted Bubble hash". Pictures 23 The idea here is the process of using "fresh Frozen Cannabis" this has been discussed many a time online on such sites as instagram and here on grow diaries as well.. I personally have Never tried the process so i decided to try it out and make a judgement for myself.. Video 24 The Cannabis has now been in the freezer for 72 hours making it very well frozen.. as you can tell i struggled getting it all into the 25u Screen Wash Bag. One thing of note i would do differently is i will de-stem my next batch as i also believe this played a part in the amount of plant matter that escaped through the sieves. Photo/Video's 25-28 The idea here is "ice water Seiving" & especially with the bags that I am using here that are only have screen material on the bottom portion of the bag it is very important to have spaces in-between the screens to allow the water to pass directly through the screens into the bottom bucket with the least amount of resistance.. because the hash is so extremely temperature dependant if it gets warm on the side of the bag.. it will stick there and not make it to the bottom to become use able product.. 29 You do not need to use as much Ice as i used here lol... the idea is to keep everything very cold..i certainly achieved that but at the sacrifice of using so much that i ended up grinding product and producing "contaminants" but in the end they are just plant matter that i would be smoking when i rolled up my joint either way so.. I'm not super disappointed.. But it should be noted that what you want to achieve here is a Layering effect where you have the wash bag between two small layers of ice while the "water current" washes the Trichomes away allowing them to be separated by the screens setup below :) Before Starting the machine you should allow some time (i.e.;10-12minutes pre soak to allow the product to become saturated) before the first cycle. By video 32 I have just ran out of ice lol.. Video 33-34 Here I have a tip for you.. to separate the screens that you sieve through.. cut 5 gallon buckets to stretch them across nice and tight.. it'll make scooping your Bubble that much easier ! i learned this from the many "Frenchy" videos I have watched :) Picture 35 Here in lays the problem for most people.. drying your hash without loosing vast amounts of "Terpenes" whilst also stay ever vigilant against mold ! Thanks to all those videos I've watched on youtube.. id like to think this was one of my most successful parts of this process.. Things to Note; Terpenes start to seriously evaporate at temperatures 68F or 20C you need to stay as cold as possible whilst bringing the Relative Humidity in the space down into the 40-30% to stay away from that nasty mold ! I used my cold storage room in the basement.. with a dehumidifier running to keep the space at 45% RH & staying at a constant 15c. All while spreading the hash as thin as possible across parchment paper, on top of the white screens with a fan moving air across both sides of the paper. Pictures 36-38 These are some macros i took in the middle of my drying session I fell in love with the colour. Yes i know the black spots are plant material but they will get caught when i bag the hash & squish the oil out. Thing to Note; at this stage it is important to ensure you 'micro plane" the hash down as fine as you can whilst staying weary of the temperature... any "chunks" will hold pockets of moisture.. that lead to potential problems..ie; mold ... Picture/Video 39-41 Successfully planed bubble hash ready to be bagged and Squished ! Picture 42 Ive decided to follow Pedro.. from Pedros Grow Room and double bag to be on the safe side so i don't have any blow outs. So thats One 25u bag inside one 160u bag ! :) Pictures 43 This is almost 3 grams of the bubble hash from above, already melting in the bag.. this is where i ran into trouble again lol things started getting to warm in the house and i was only able to get one of the three squish's i did on video :( things started getting sticky. Picture 44 This is basically just a photo of the equipment I'm using; 3x5 LowTemp Cage in the frame I built myself, with a 20Ton bottle jack. Something to note here is this is an older Lowtemp model with only a single heating zone which is which i have it closed here heating Both sides of the press :) As well as the importance of having adequate pressure on your plates.. my rig is very overkill for the size of hash bags..lol Video 45 Here is the lovely press video.. its didn't quite work the way i wanted either lol my directional folding wasn't quite tight enough for a big "drip" :) &the Press was set to 65°c Photo's 46-50 are pretty self explanatory :) I had a blow out.. but still managed to pull an 80% return from the hash once squished...& yes it tasted amazing :) Was it worth it in the end... that could be debated.. for some..i understand..its not your thing, but for those of us that are interested in making our own concentrates.. free from Solvents... 2/17: I spent a little time rearranging today. I bought some 32" x 14" plastic ventilated storage shelves and cut the legs down on two of them so I have some different-height platforms for the shorties in the garden. I should also be able to easily flush 6 plants in 5 gallon pots, or 9 plants in 3 gallon pots at a time now, that's a win!👈 2/18: I debated whether to feed or not, and settled on watering them with about 1/2 gallon each. including bembe, cal-mag, signal, humic acid, and a little beastie bloomz. The new dehumidifier is pulling about a gallon and a half per day from the air, so I should be able to feed them in a coupe of days. I've reached the ceiling again with my lights and the tall one is still stretching a little bit. I sure hate to have to supercrop her too...my garden is looking so wild and untamed already...😳 2/19: Rainy day outside, so I'm pulling in 99% humidity, plus the pots are still petty saturated, but the new dehumidifier is keeping up. RH is holding at about 45% today.👍 2/20: Day 31 of flower...the taller plant grew another couple of inches overnight! Damnit!😟 After emptying the closet (again) today and supercropping more branches (and some of the same branches again), a semi-solution occurred to me that allowed me to raise the lights another 3-4 inches! Now I'm truly maxxed out... These two plants couldn't be more different. One twisted-leaf 2-footer that started budding up in the first week of flower, and one beautiful 4-footer that's been very slow to flower.. The structure on the taller/sativa-looking plant is very promising, though...many long colas, and stacking up well...👌 I really needed everybody to finish in the same week so I could get my Spring autos going...😶 I'm still hoping that the big one will hurry the fuck up and finish by the EHD(3/11), but it's not looking possible at this point... I took photos and videos of all the plants today since I had to empty the closet and it wasn't a feeding day. 2/21: I fed them today with about 3/4 gallon each including beastie bloomz, tiger bloom, big bloom, signal, bembe, and cal-mag...no grow big this time. 2/22: The tall one grew another inch...i threatened to bind her up like one of Silky_Smooth's plants if she didn't stop growing immediately. If she doesn't start budding up with serious urgency, she's gonna piss me off...my Spring auto grow must not be postponed! 2/23: I ordered some terpinator because I'm not so sure about Signal's efficacy at this point....I'm usually dealing with odors more by now..

I swapped over to organic nutes part way through this grow cocked up with the medium I used anyway she's doing alright and has produced some very nice solid buds

This week the plants got very bushy and wide. Stopped using Root Juice and Used Recharge microbes for the first time one day out of the week. LST also began this week. I noticed separate issues on two of the plants on their 21st day; the girl on the right showed some yellow color in some of the tips of the new growth at the top of the plant, while the girl in the middle had low hanging leaf tips which look burned / discolored. I think I might be over-watering. I'll confirm all of their soil is completely dry with my a moisture meter before watering next time.

Start of week 3. Feeding a little more consistently. 1gal of the above every 3 days.

The Sucker Punch Autos had some nice growth in their third week. I gave them a very low dose of nutrients with their last watering this week for the first time and they seemed to have enjoyed it.

As I am writing this I have just trimmed and jarred my second grow🤠 I managed to pull 203.9 grams. Nearly half a pound off 1 plant, which I am extremely proud of😁 I haven’t smoked her yet as I don’t want to spoil the experience. I’ll wait a good 3 weeks to a month before enjoy this lovely lady. I did unfortunately find a couple undeveloped seeds. She must have thrown nanners early on which I thought was odd because I didn’t even flower for 9 weeks. I guess she just really wanted to come down quick. So I can’t be too mad at her about that. Overall, for my second grow I couldn’t have been happier with the results. 2 girls 1 cup week 3! Thanks for stopping by and checking out my experiment. They're getting a little big to be taking individual overhead pics everyday now. They always both end up in the same shot no matter what. Will still update daily with pic. Got a new cam that can do timelapse. Almost sent it back until I said fuck it and tried TWO layers of sunglasses. Diff colors too. One more of a FLD filter color, one more of a UV filter color. Both are polarized as well. I'm sure the night vision footage will be trash with the IR behind the lenses, so the timelapse will have res checks/changes and night prob edited out. Stay tuned for that! Going 1/2 strength GHE week 3 light feed and actually changed RES last night. Was looking at em and already noticed WG was drooping more than it should. Normal transportation and growth/energize cycles are expected, but was looking overwatered. GC if you look in vid "d14" in first and second set of fingers showing interveinal chlorosis. PH has been between 5.52 and 6.4 (lowest and highest), and averages a swing in a 12hr shift from 5.71'ish to 6.17'ish. Not uploading notes again like last week, but you'd get the idea if you saw them, I take notes lol. So PH wasn't an issue. They've been averaging a 7-15ppm drop in res per 12hr and has only been climbing again due to ph down additions. I should prob change RES mid week so it's not a high concentration of ph product. So they're DEF eating proper, have stable ph swings, optimal res Temps and dissolved oxygen is good. WG taking on more water to get the nutes, causing leaves to droop from excess water. GC moving nutes from old growth to the new growth. So they're hungry. Ghe claims 62.5ppm nitrogen, 275-375ppm target per mixture below. Mixed and measured in between each addition to get my numbers. -2gal Water/calmag/hydroguard 215ppm -Micro 4.9mL - 170ppm -Grow 4.6mL - 100ppm -Bloom 3.4mL - 60ppm Nute concentration - 330ppm (nailed it again GHE) Water - 215ppm Total - 545ppm Ph'd to 5.6 final tds 563ppm Mars Hydro TSW2000 on theeee way to finish these girls off right.. some of my worries are settled. Note taken, wash it off next time or just be more fucking careful.. got it. On a surprising note... RES level not only dropped 600mL, but also dropped from 690 to 645ppm (total tds). So they're eating MORE with the increased feed... doesn't suprise me much, but heard auto's don't like to be over 6-700?? Nute concentration @ 471 yesterday, and it's dropping FAST... will probably fatten up their plate on Sunday and go with a RES change, full strength week 3 GHE. ****tired of reading this shit yet?? Training rods installed for the mains, and all the 3 fingers are plucked. Ended up plucking a 9 finger from WG and a 5 finger from GC to make way for the under growth. Feel like Bruce Almight parting a bowl of soup lol ******didn't want to post a pic of my girls in distress, but documenting everything else, so why tf not. swapped out the clear sight tube for a more UV friendly agro green. Marked the tube in the same spot as the clear, but it was almost a gallon more in reality at the same mark. I was drowning them with no air gap below the upper growing chamber. After measuring, it was submerged by about 5/8th inch. Sorted that out, and took almost all day for em to perk up. On top of that, the new light and adding another oscillator changed my environment. No more humidifier in the tent. Thought I lost both of them.. Soggy leaves, spotting, etc. Backed nutes back down to 3/4 strength wk 3 due to slight curling in new growth and one lighter tip on one new finger. Shortened the training rods tonight and started with some bondage. Prob the last time they'll get tied down before the net gets used (if needed) here in a week or so. Backed off to 16 DLI from 20 until they really perk up. End of week 3

That was the most difficult week. It was very cold and rainy, the humidity of the air reached 90% at most, but without sequels, thank God. On day 63, I defoliated and she is strong, fat and definitely smells like cheese.
