Very little. But you know what? Every single week, she manages to put a smile on my face. And this week is no different. Actually... I'm starting to think that one of the best decisions I made in this entire adventure was simply... not giving up on her. Because look at her now. She's growing. She's developing. She's building flowers. She's getting prettier. She's getting frostier. And she's doing it all while remaining this ridiculously cute little plant tucked away among some absolute monsters. 😂💗 She's small. She's beautiful. She's charming. And she's completely, unapologetically herself. So yes... let's give this little lady the spotlight she deserves. 🌸✨ ──────────────────────── 🌱 The 8×8 Adventure — Same Room, Different Stories For anyone discovering this diary for the first time, welcome to the 8×8 Adventure. The idea behind this project is simple: Take different genetics and phenotypes... put them into essentially the same environment... and then step back and watch what they naturally become. Same room. Same 12/12 lighting schedule. Same general environmental strategy. Same irrigation philosophy. Same nutritional program. Same lighting ecosystem. Same grower. Different genetics. Different phenotypes. Different structures. Different personalities. And Pink Rosay Pheno B? She's one of the most extreme examples of individuality in the entire room. While some of her neighbours are enormous... she decided: "63 cm is enough." 😂 And honestly? I'm glad she did. Because if every plant looked the same, this experiment wouldn't be nearly as interesting. ──────────────────────── 💗 I'm So Glad I Didn't Give Up on Her I have to say this again. I'm genuinely happy I didn't give up on this little girl. Because early on, it would have been very easy to look at her and think: "She's tiny." And leave it at that. But that's exactly why we do experiments like this. We don't know the final story at the beginning. We have to let the plant tell us. And Pink Rosay B has been slowly telling us: "I'm small. So what? Watch me." 😂💗 And I am watching. Every week. She's still developing. Still changing. Still putting on flower. Still becoming more interesting. And that's incredibly satisfying to see. There is something special about watching a plant that could easily have been overlooked become something you genuinely care about. That's exactly what happened with her. ──────────────────────── 🌸 The Little Dwarf Keeps Growing She's not suddenly going to become a giant. And I don't want her to. Her compact size is part of her story. It's part of what makes this phenotype interesting. But being small doesn't mean she's standing still. Far from it. She's continuing to develop within that tiny framework. The flowers are progressing. The structure is becoming more defined. The density continues to build. And the whole plant is slowly becoming more complete. She's growing... just on her own terms. At her own pace. In her own little world. And honestly? I love watching it. Because sometimes slow, steady development is just as fascinating as watching a plant explode through the room. ──────────────────────── 😊 She Keeps Putting a Smile on My Face This might actually be my favourite thing about her. She makes me smile. 😂💗 Every time I look at her, I get that little feeling of: "Look at you!" She's not intimidating. She's not overwhelming. She's not demanding. She's just... cute. A tiny flowering plant surrounded by much larger personalities. And somehow she has managed to carve out her own little identity in the room. She's the little one. The dwarf. The compact girl. The one who doesn't need much space. The one who doesn't make my life difficult. And now... the one I'm genuinely excited to see finishing. That's quite a transformation from where we started. ──────────────────────── ❄️ Small Plant — Serious Frost And let's not forget what happens when we stop looking at her size... and start looking at her flowers. Because that's where things get really interesting. The frost continues to develop. The flowers are becoming more substantial. The structure is getting more defined. And when the light catches the resin... she absolutely shines. ❄️✨ This is one of those plants where scale can be misleading. From across the room: "Aw, she's tiny." Get closer: "Wait..." Closer again: "Ohhhhhh." 😂💗❄️ That's Pink Rosay B. She doesn't need a huge frame to give us something beautiful to look at. She simply packs her story into a much smaller package. ──────────────────────── 🌸 Beautiful in Her Own Little Way I think I've finally stopped comparing her to the larger plants. And that's important. Because when you compare a 63 cm plant to a giant standing beside her, she's always going to look small. Of course she is. But that's not the right comparison anymore. Now I look at her and ask: "What is Pink Rosay B doing?" And the answer is: She's growing. She's flowering. She's developing. She's frosting up. She's becoming more beautiful. And she's doing all of that exactly as her genetics seem to want to. That's what matters. She's not supposed to be her sister. She's not supposed to be one of the giants. She's Pink Rosay Pheno B. And that's enough. ──────────────────────── 💡 Still Eating Photons The room continues evolving around her, but the overall strategy remains the same. The Future of Grow Black Series LEDs continue providing the main overhead lighting, with the additional fixtures now part of the upgraded lighting setup. After adding the two additional Black Series 600W fixtures, we reduced the output to approximately 59% from the plug after seeing that the initial intensity was higher than we wanted. We're now working around: ☀️ ~1,500 PPFD across the upper canopy with intensity naturally changing according to plant height and position. And this little lady? She's still doing her part. Taking the available photons... and turning them into growth. Leaves. Flowers. Resin. Density. Development. Just on a miniature scale. 😂💗 I honestly love that. It's another beautiful example of how genetics can take the same environmental opportunity and turn it into something completely different. ──────────────────────── 🌱 Same Nutrition. Same Opportunity. The nutrition has also continued evolving with the rest of the room. Healthy leaves are still doing their job. The flowers are developing naturally. The plant is progressing. So we're simply allowing her to continue. Sometimes the grower's job is to do something. Sometimes the grower's job is to know when not to do something. Right now? I'm very happy doing less. 😂💗 Let the little lady grow. ──────────────────────── 🌸 Small Doesn't Mean Small Story This is probably the biggest lesson Pink Rosay B has given me. A plant doesn't have to dominate a tent to be interesting. She doesn't need to be two metres tall. She doesn't need a huge canopy. She doesn't need massive branches reaching in every direction. She doesn't need to be the biggest producer. She just needs to express herself. And she's doing that beautifully. Her story is about compactness. About individuality. About watching a tiny phenotype continue to develop while surrounded by giants. And maybe that's why I enjoy her so much. She reminds me that growing isn't always about chasing the biggest possible plant. Sometimes it's about discovering the unexpected. ──────────────────────── 📸 The Tiny Girl Still Loves the Camera And once again... she remains incredibly easy to photograph. 😂📸 That's another thing I genuinely appreciate about this phenotype. I can get around her. I can see her structure. I can reach her flowers. I can move her if necessary. And I can get the camera exactly where I want it. Then macro photography completely changes the scale. Suddenly... the little dwarf isn't little anymore. She's a landscape. A forest of tiny structures. Calyxes. Pistils. Sugar leaves. Resin. Textures. Details. And that's one of the reasons I love macro photography so much. It reminds us that size is relative. The plant might be tiny in the 8×8... but inside the frame? Her sister is compact too, but this girl takes compactness to another level. She's tiny. She's dense. She's developing beautifully. And she's doing it without becoming a headache. That's her genetic expression. And I'm very happy we gave her the opportunity to show it. ──────────────────────── 💗 My Little Survivor There's something almost sentimental about her now. 😂 Because I remember looking at this little plant earlier in the adventure and thinking: "Are you really going to do anything?" Another week complete. As usual pH problems and accompanying nutrient deficiencies. Keeps swings up every 12hrs. Flowers are stacking in size now. Fingers crossed I can make it to the end. Added final part nutrient today, heading into week 8. 1st indoor, 1st auto.

I got 90grams from bigger grape balls of fire and 60grams from smaller. I wish i had used scrog on them, outcome was good and quality was what i wished Drying went well i didnt fuck up anything but i didnt get that much what i wished for and its because i didnt use scrog. Overall outcome was good enough to make man happy. I learned a lot, next time bigger harvest and slower drying🏻

She is tall and stacking flowers nicely. . I've never not trained a plant so this one. Is new to me.

Day 64: It seems to go well. I am still keeping an eye on the "hanging" leaves. I think they tend to hang a little more when light on, and less with light off but its hard to say if it is normal. It might be as @GrowingGrannie mentioned, they might be under watered, as there is not much run-off at the last couple of watering's, maybe 1l each time and I will give them a 30% run-off next time to be sure UPDATE: I have noticed some more brown spots on the right plant caused by Calcium Deficiency. I think I should up the PH a bit more, going for 6.5 this time. I will also increase my CalMag supplement by 50%, and do 30% run-off today Day 66: Thank you all for the kind answers 🙏 You all have different opinions, and it is hard to pinpoint the exact problem. I am almost certain that I got some heat/light stress as mentioned by @GrowingGrannie and @Chow_13. I have therefore raised the lamp and are keeping the dimmer very low, using about 140W in total. I am still investigating if there might be other problems to it. @m0use, thank you for your answer. I do not think they are thirsty, at least not any more, as I am already on the subject for the last couple of days. About PH, It was difficult to get a good picture of the PH solution, but it was light-green to green (6.5-7.0) on the picture (And that was run-off PH) and what I put in was adjusted slowly from yellow to light-green aka 6.0-6.5 (I wrote 6.25 but it was auto adjusted) @gottagrowsometime, thank you for the answer. I do not think it is a nitrogen toxicity. My leaves aren't that dark green, although they are a bit to the dark side but not like what I see on other pictures with that problem. I also think the curling is caused by light/heat stress as I just got a new lamp and are experimenting with it. But I will keep your suggestion in the back of my head! @Chow_13, thank you very much for your answer. I think you are spot on, however I am not sure it is the only problem... It might be as you say, nutrients are not absorbed correctly due to the light-stress, but I will not put all my money on that @Nugsery and @GrowingGrannie, a big thank you for your answers. The deficiencies might not be the same, but the cure is very similar. I cannot make up who is right, but I do have a plan. I will follow your recommendation @GrowingGrannie and @Nugsery, and do a flush, but with a ph 5.8 as both nutrients should be able to be absorbed in that level. I will then give her a light nutrient mix and adding PK, also 5.8 ph. This is almost the same solution for both deficiencies. I will then slowly get the ph back to 6.2 @ernesttwwg, thank you for your answer. I have known for some time I have some Interveinal chlorosis, but I do not know what is causing it. There is multiple deficiencies giving those symptoms. The tacoing of leaves, and leaf tips curling down I think is caused by the light, and I have therefor raised the light. I will keep investigating the symptoms you mention OBS: I will not edit my nutrient schema as this is only temporarily, next watering will be as described UPDATE: After flushing with 15L~ ph 5.8~ and a small feed with 5.8~ ph I still get about 6.5~ ph in my run-off water. I am going to do another flush tomorrow to see I can bring it down to around 6.0~ ph Day 67: I think I see small improvements on the leaves. The new heat/light level seem to have done something. I did that second flush and are still getting about 6.5 ph in run-off.... I think I will let her dry for now, monitoring what happens, and do another flush in a couple of days

Day 35! One week from transplant and we started our first LST which was topping today. After topping we watered with recharge to help combat any of the stress woes.

So had to adjust the weeks in the diary but here we are day 21 week 3 and they are starting to show preflowers and I’m greeted with a faint sweet smell every time I open the tent. Grew about 3” average week over week internode distance is compact, this variety stalk is tremendous in power tried twice to start lst and both times the plant managed to straighten it self upright within hours. After some debate I’ve decided that I’ll let her be an see what happens. The stretch has started almost 3” of growth in last 3 days Water with recharge and elementXX gonna wait till day 25 to hopefully see their effect on the plants So that recharge is amazing 2” of growth in less than 48hrs made me have to adjust the light height. So from day 21 till day 25 just over 4” of height gained. Next feeding I’ll start to introduce bloom and molasses. Morning of day 27 introducing TNB Naturals and turning on the second 600w LED, plants have seen explosive growth this week, tied some of the secondary branches down to allow better light penetration. I’m excited to see what the CO2 will encourage.

19.1. - Plants are entering their first week of flowering as the bud sites are clearly visible and pistils are shooting up! 21.1. - Watered 💧 24.1. - Watered 💧 25.1. - Wrap-up of the week: Plants went through another successful week. Lots of bud sites are visible and already developing. I've also spot some first sugar. However, I've also managed to snap the main stem on the Gelato plant, not completely. I've fixed it back, so we'll see but I must have som bad luck as this was second time during this run 🙄 19.1. - 25.1.2024

For the Mimosa evo its the 5th week of veg overall they are doing great. Had some issues with some of them, with deficiencies gave them what they need. For the ones that are fully healthy I gave them the second topping and a little of defoliation. Today I gave a round of nutrients to the Mimosa Evo. Yesterday I gave a round of nutrients to the Auto's and some defoliation.

Compared to other diaries looks like this guy is growing a little slow. I ts been 7 days since I placed him in water to germinate. March 4th Raised humidity level to above 50%

Zealix is doing good. She has shifted more into flowering and is developing her Cola sites. Everything is looking good. I will likely do a solution change on her soon for a potassium rich diet for her flowering. This week I low stress trained plant a bit and removed a few leaves that blocks light for lower nodes so it grows more equally! In the end I am moving to my main flowering tent.

10th week of flowering: week from 23/10 to 29/10 This is the last week of flowering for this strain. Unfortunately here in north eastern Italy the outdoor climate isn’t so kind in this period. So even If I wanted to let them mature a bit more, the temperature at night goes to 10°C. It hasn’t perfectly matured, but that’s what I have. I noticed some trichomes have lost the head or sphere at the top. I read that’s due to low temperature, so I see myself forced to harvest it now. Also it’s better to get them out the rain since bud rot and mold are still spreading in some branches.

During this first week of vegetative growth, the seedling has slightly stretched more than expected, but this is not a problem since when I transfer it into the larger pot, I will bury the stem. 🌱 I haven't started giving nutrients yet because, as already mentioned, the substrate I use has them for the first few weeks, in fact the leaves seem to me to be a nice bright green. ✔️ I proceeded to mount a small fan on the side of the tent to create recirculation of air and make the stems of the seedlings take some strength. 💨 For now the main tent is occupied by the flowering phase of other plants so for the first few weeks I will leave the seedlings in the closet with smallest led light. 💡 (link below) ⬇️⬇️⬇️ https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B08P2G1VQW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s02?ie=UTF8&th=1

Happy I made it to harvest as I know that’s a lot of first growers issue. She’s sticky, funky, and chunky. Nothing bad to say. I definitely learned some things that I’lol be implementing next grow. Probably do another run of Autos from Mephisto as I have a few. But my goal is to get into the Photos, preferably the kushiest of the kushy lol. If anybody has any suggestions of some fire Gas, point me in the direction. More updates to come, so for the next week or so, just monitoring. Stay high growmies!
