Day 65, 14th of November 2020: Amazing week.... RQS Wedding Gelato does not strech a lot and pistils coming out nicely.... Original Sensible Seeds has amazing gentics they are so strechy except Black Ghost OG, rest of them crazyyyyyyy..... I also broke two of the sides from Gelato Original Sensible Seeds but fixed with tape and now all good lol 🤣🤣🤣 Pre flowers out and I really hope they stop growing lol. I also noticed that the Original Sensible Seeds strains have nice purple colours of the fan leave's stem. All the same fertilization happens every 2nd day with the mix above and ratio. One more thing: I set the lamp 15 minutes shorter to switch off earlier so they receive 11:45 of darkness. I would like to imitate the nature when longer nights come with time till the 4th week (when they will receive 13 hours darkness a day 15 minutes minus 4 times = 1hour) so every week 15 min longer darkness for 4 weeks and then back to 12/12 to have bigger buds from the 4th week....

1/25 Week 11 Ripley : Flushing begins with a five gallon flush to move the runoff to under 200ppm and defoliated by pulling almost every leaf on a stem, and god what a bunch there were. This opens the plant and removes those sources of nuets. Going to doing this as quickly as we may so will be monitoring runoff as we go. What can I say THC Bomb looks like it is gonna try to become a monster. It is really loving the Spiderfarmer SF-1000 light. I believe it is flowering slower, due to the persistent stretching still. Which is a good thing. I increase more blooming nutrition, and am lowering nitrogen levels. I also added a top layer of dynomyco for additional fungal action for flowering. Day 14: Hi all. The Fast Buds babies are proving themselves worthy. They are now on around node 3/4 and happy and upright. Leaves are looking nice and healthy with a flat appearance so no issues so far. They have taken to the pots well and I am watering from the outside edge to encourage the roots to spread out in the pots wider before they set up for flowering. The Mexican airline looks very indica compared to the other two already with her chubby fan leaves forming. I have given them a feed with Mega crop too now to get the leaves to their best green for photosynthesis the way only MC can. lol Until next time be safe and well

I’m glad for growdiaries I was able to track the whole progress and go back to review what I did and didn’t do. The grow went fairly well. After battling some flea beetles and over fertilizing and over watering I got the hang of this plant. The strain seems easy to grow and though it’s not cured yet I look forward to trying it. I have been drying a little piece I snipped last week and will try that out in a day or so. Thanks to everyone who helped me on my first journey. Seedsman was great. Covid caused a shipping delay but the seeds got to me Eventually and here she is!!! I’m sharing a harvest video. I stopped it when I saw some webbing in lower buds. Got nervous. Small spider mites infestation at bottom of plant. Cut it out. Trimmed off the leaves I found them on. Read up on what to do next. Not going to trash this harvest over bugs. I figure it’s for me. Growing organically and outdoors obviously comes along with insects. Whether it’s cannabis or vegetables. I’d rather smoke or eat an insect than ingest a pesticide! I’ve cleaned the buds and trimmed them well. Once they dry I’ll give them a good shaking. And check them over to make sure I didn’t miss anything gross. There was a day before legalization that “you got what you got” and based on the people we procured from I doubt they cared if there were dried up bugs in bags. Never thought about it until today. 🤷‍♀️🏻 Not going to worry about it. I’ll do my best and clean my greenhouse. Sprayed down my other plants and out the fan in them. Trimmed some leaves I found to have mites on those. And I’ll get ahead of the issue for next harvest in 2 weeks. I’ll be back to update dry weight and effects soon. Update: dry weight is 50grams pretty happy about that. The buds are light and fluffy. They take up a lot of space. I can’t believe it didn’t all fit in the GIANT mason jar. It’s ok. Sour wiz is still in it’s stretching phase. Growing at maybe more then 1” a day. Bunch of white hairs coming out and small buds starting to form. The white stuff on my plants is a cal carb foliage spray by xtreme gardening. After 30-40 hrs it rinses off with a decent application of just water. I also added more light to the bottom of my canopy because I’m sick of low bud production down low. If it’s gonna be popcorn nugs they can at least be super resin covered popcorn nugs. Roughly around an extra 160w of led/cfl lights . Helps a lot.

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. This is true of seed starts or clones made from seed starts. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. This is due to light spectrum, temperature, and/or photoperiod changes. Yes, Freakshow will do exceedingly well indoors, and will thrive and mature just fine in a wide variety of natural environments as well, so it's definitely both and I think might even prove to be more resilient to those sorts of transitions. Q. What are the potency and terpenoid levels? A. Average 18-20% THCa, THC; negligible CBD, CBN with terps variable, averaging 2.5-3.5, primarily limonene and pinene, but this is variable, there was a lot of diversity in terp combinations and compositions in all the prior generations, it's just something that was left "as is" for now. The different parallel lines that we are developing can be directed in a few different pathways flavorwise. Q. Why are the seeds white? A. Why is the sky blue? No, the mature seeds are shrouded by a rice paper thin membrane which has coloring and mottling on it, but it's so fragile that it disintegrates in the process of shucking. Stripped of the outer layer the seeds are very pale, nearly white. It came as no surprise that this plant would have abnormal seeds. Q. Is it a GMO? A. Wow...? Well, it's seriously "modified" and the modifications are definitely genetic, and it is an organism. (Genuinely Modified Organically!) Uh, no. Q. Is it a big producer? A. Freakshow will produce nice, fat, dense colas (see gallery) with remarkable trichome coverage, and you can expect yields according to your veg. time, root space, and general knowledge and expertise as a gardener. The same set of variables apply to expected outcomes regarding cannabinoid levels and terpene profiles. Q.What is the lineage? A. (Bigbud x Skunk#1) x (Big Sur Holy Weed x Banana Kush). NLD("Sativa") dominant, but the afghanica influence is apparent. I'm pretty sure that Freakshow contains some Trainwreck and some Maui Wowie based on some research I did on the origins of the Pineapple Express. Interestingly Big Sur Holyweed, OG Kush, Banana, Trainwreck, and Maui Wowie are all of unclear origins. We have to remember that these are all just names and that they don't really mean much. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. Couch unlock. Q. Is it pest and mildew resistant? A. Indeed it is. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. 12/16 - Today is Day 77 from seed. Mid-last week I switched her over to 60% strength (~1.2ec) and today I switched her over to flush with 10ml/gal GH FloraKleen. Upon checking multiple buds for trich ripeness and I found an average of approximately 10% amber across the whole canopy. Some of the larger, more mature buds were closer to 15-20% Amber while some varied as low as 3-5% Amber. I am choosing to go ahead and flush her out since I need the space in the tent sooner, rather than later. I am planning on a 48-72 hour flush then chop. This will definitely be my biggest yield to date, but her sister, the Amnesia XXL Auto might top her out yet, though she is still a couple weeks out. Thanks for checking out the garden. Hopefully she is able to take everything in after what happened yesterday. She is showing good signs of hope. Had to pluck part of a leaf that shriveled up and died. That’s the only shock that I’ve seen her take as of yet. Fingers crossed. -7/27: She is still thriving! Day 2 from accident and only 1 fan leaf died off. She is starting to give off that funk! 😝 -7/28: She is still thriving! Did some more “very light” LST today. Wanted to bush her out more after her boom last night! She took off. Seems like she had a blast off moment listening to Kid Cudi with me last night!!😁😁. Fed her the remaining nutes from this weeks feeding on Monday. Filled rez back to a little over 2nd line. Roots showing peaking out bottom of bag today. I seen a couple actually! Next week will start filling reservoir to 3rd line which is 6 gallons.😈. My girl said she smelt them today when I opened the tent for my 4:20 maintenance lol

@FAST_BUDS, Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable environment in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. But there are no cultivation rooms to be displayed here, so I continue with what is most important. Today I have put my seeds in my moisture dome and hope the seeds have germinated within a few days. I’ve been dealing with fungus gnats. Sounds like a common problem I layer the ground with perlite and heavily put diatomaceous on top let it sit for two days vacuum the top layer off and repeat. Twice got all of them I can see and back to a regular feeding schedule daily. I have yellow fly traps I’m gonna put on the soil to help keep them down. I’m going to get a drip system. So there isn’t much saturated soil on the top for them to breed . To prevent this next grow
