Hopefully close to lights out just a light watering when dry this week while they finish up. The trichome development has been slower than I thought but I am checking daily and they still look to me like they are in the stage of turning cloudy with less and less clear ones showing along with a small amount of amber ones starting to appear more and more. Some of the girls are developing a little slower than the others which is to be expected and they are fading in colour so it looks like they are consuming the last remaining nutrients from their reserves at different stages. **Week 8 - Third Week of Flower** Things are getting wild in the Donutz tent! After the insane stretch last week, the plants have turned the space into a full-on jungle. The start of Week 8 called for drastic measures, and the results are setting the stage for explosive bud production. **Key Updates**: - **Aggressive Defoliation**: On Day 1 of the third flower week, the plants underwent a *brutal* defoliation. Every bud site that had started to develop its own leaves was stripped of its fan leaves, allowing light to flood the canopy. Even the smallest sites now have excellent exposure, giving them the best chance to mature into chunky nugs in the coming weeks. Despite the intensity of the trim, the plants are resilient and primed to bounce back strong. - **Boosted Nutrients**: To support the plants after the stress of defoliation, I added another 5-6g of Greenhouse Feeding Bloom per plant. This ensures the soil stays nutrient-rich and gives the plants the resources they need to recover and thrive. - **Watering**: Still rocking reverse osmosis (RO) water, ensuring clean and efficient hydration without any surprises. **Observations**: - The canopy is significantly cleaner and more open, with light now reaching deeper into the lower sections. - The plants are handling the defoliation well, with no immediate signs of stress or shock. - Bud sites are already looking promising, with visible development and an even distribution across the canopy. **Looking Ahead**: The next few weeks will be all about letting the plants recover and watching the buds stack up. With improved light penetration and a fresh dose of nutrients, everything is lined up for some impressive development. The Donutz are thriving, and the Florida Gang vibes are at an all-time high — the tent is set to deliver big!

This week I decided to remove the LST and let her strech out as much as she wants. I lollipopped her on day 49 and cutted down all the branches that will never grow to the light. She has to strech as much as possible because there are some way taller plants under the same light. I hope she gonna produce some nice flower and will continue to strach abit. Day 70 and they are all piling on the weight nicely. I have started to flush one of the four as it nearly completely oranged up but the others still have a good amount of time before they're ready. I have defoliated them this week and the smell is so sweet it's beautiful. Exciting times ahead! stay safe and stay stoned ✌️🏻

She was a "slow and steady wins the race" phenotype! 6 weeks veg + 8 week flower. She vegged strong through week 6, and then stacked up some intense colas, because of being lolipopped before flower! During her transition to flower, she was defoliated every 3 days to allow light and air to penetrate the canopy, and allow for maximum stackage! This is possible because, she didn't stretch much during her transition. Instead, she was stacking a tight node structure; and with every new node, comes a set of two leaves! This lady holds my personal record, for my largest yield from an indoor plant!!!

14/02/22: the plants have had their final defolitation so they can really concentrate on building bigger buds in the final weeks before harvest. Some colas look ready and others not... have had to add my garden sticks to support the plants.

D-56 : The girls are great, beautyful and starting to stretch fast. No deficiency, no watering or feeding trouble, the temperature is a bit high but this variety are really comfortable with temperatures between 27 and 30°C, so I maintain it around 27-29°c during the day time. The horizontal space is fully occupied already. But, I guess the Desfrans are growing vertically now. However, I'll continue to reasonably defoliate to let light and fresh air go through the canopy. As I start the second flowering week, the flowers should apear... can't wait to see the first ones !

I am a little bit worried it’s going too slow (compared to reference grows from other diaries), but patience is hard and there’s still 3 to 4 weeks of flowering to be done. The breeder advises 7 to 8 weeks, which is a bit optimistic, but they also advise 9 weeks for optimal taste and a smoother effect. The girls still grew a bit vertically, so even 5 weeks into flower, they aren’t fully focused on the development of the buds. Maybe this week, some serious XL bud stacking will take place 😊. I had some problems this week with heat and humidity. For two days, temperatures were at 28 degrees with lights on; a bit too high, but nothing extreme. More problematic was RH: it oscillated a lot between 45 and 60% during lights on and peaked at 70% with lights off. There will be some dry weather the days ahead, so RH will probably stabilize around 50% the following days. Nevertheless, I increased the power of both fans and the exhaust to the max, so there’s more than enough airflow throughout the whole tent. I did some slight defoliation, but nothing extreme. I don’t want to stress them out in this phase and cause them to herm. Hence, I took away max. 2 leaves per plant per day and only when tucking away wasn’t possible. The run off EC is at 2.0-2.1, while 1.8 (close to 1.9) is going in. pH of the runoff is around 5.9, except Iris’ run off, that one is always at 5.5. Hopefully, I will see some classical XL buds building up this week and head on for a nice harvest. Thanks for reading, stay safe and happy growing!

Cytokinins stopped stretch so ima keep lights at current height given havent seen burn or bleaching. One pheno sharp candy getting sweeter n milder, 2nd pheno is similar to my bubba diagonal i grew here. I guess not bad for week 4 in 3 gallon bags but i hope they start filling in?
