🌱 Week 3 – Transplant Time, Studio Vibes & Root Dreams Grower’s Journal – BlueBerry by Zamnesia Seeds | Entry 004 This week marks a major milestone in our BlueBerry journey, transplant time. Our three beautiful girls have been thriving, and after careful observation, we’ve selected Pheno #1 and Pheno #2 to move forward into their new homes and toward the flowering stage. ⸻ Transplanting into Fabric Pots – Why & How We’ve moved the selected girls into 11L Amnesia fabric pots, and here’s why fabric pots are a grower’s best friend: • Air Pruning: Fabric pots naturally prune roots when they hit the edges, encouraging a dense, fibrous root ball with no circling. • Oxygenation: They allow more airflow to the root zone, supporting microbial activity and preventing anaerobic pockets. • Drainage: Overwatering is much harder—excess water simply flows through. • Temperature Regulation: Fabric helps prevent root overheating, especially important under powerful grow lights. 🧡 These pots create an environment where roots can breathe, explore, and flourish. And that’s the heart of healthy, vigorous growth. ⸻ 🌿 Roots & Selection – What We Saw Before transplanting, we gently lifted the plants to check their roots, and they were absolutely gorgeous. White, fuzzy, and lively, signaling that they were ready to stretch into something bigger. While all three seedlings looked fantastic, BlueBerry #1 and BlueBerry #2 stood out with stronger symmetry, tighter nodes, and a more expressive posture. BlueBerry #3 will stay behind—for now—a backup, just in case. 💫 ⸻ Soil Mix & Nutrient Support We prepped the new pots with a focused super soil mix blended with Aptus Holland amendments: Transplant Mix Includes: • 🌱 Super soil base (organic, airy, compost-rich) • Aptus Mycor-Mix – inoculates roots with powerful mycorrhizal fungi • 🌿 Aptus Micro-Mix – delivers beneficial bacteria to balance the root zone • ⚖️ Aptus Substrate Buffer Powder – stabilizes pH & improves nutrient exchange First Watering Feed Mix (per liter): • Aptus Regulator – 0.15 ml Strengthens cell walls, improves nutrient flow, and boosts stress resistance (especially post-transplant). • Aptus CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml Helps develop strong structure and leaf formation. • 💧 Aptus All-in-One Liquid – 1 ml Balanced macro and micronutrients for baseline support. • 🌾 Aptus Start Booster – 2 ml Stimulates root expansion and early vegetative energy. Water Stats: • pH: 5.83 • EC: 1.01 • Water Temp: 18.5°C ⸻ 🌬️ Environment & Gear Overview Our setup is getting tighter every day: • Lighting: Black Series 600 LED by Future of Grow, full-spectrum, clean white light, perfect for compact, healthy growth. • Ventilation: • 6” Spider Farmer inline fan + (carbon filtered) – controlled by Spider Farmer GGS Controller • 6” TrolMaster AeroFan + (carbon filtered) – linked to the TrolMaster Ecosystem • Why carbon filters? Even at this stage, clean air = clean grow. Carbon filters reduce smells, but more importantly, they help purify the incoming and outgoing air. • Environmental Conditions: • Temp: ~27°C • Humidity: ~57.4% • CO₂: ~632 ppm • Airflow: Gentle, consistent, and perfectly balanced ⚙️ We’re gradually dialing in the TrolMaster system, automating parts of the grow environment, like extraction, CO₂ management, and eventually irrigation. For now, everything is still done by hand-watering, feeding, and loving every single leaf. ⸻ 📸 Studio Time – A Celebration of Beauty This week, the girls got a special treat: a trip to the studio. Their energy, their posture, their color, it all deserved to be captured. Their presence under the soft lights was stunning. These won’t be the last photos we take, we’ll be back again before they outgrow their portability. But for now, these are moments to remember. 💙📷 ⸻ 🔮 What to Expect After Transplant In the next few days: • Some slower above-ground growth is normal, roots are stretching first. • Expect to see a new flush of leaves and stronger stems midweek. • No training yet, just letting them adapt and settle. 🙅‍♂️ What NOT to Expect • No explosive height jumps yet • No flowering signs • No topping until they’re fully recovered This week is about integration, expansion, and ease. ⸻ 🎥 Series Continues – Follow the Rhythm As always, this is part of our ongoing Grow Series, an open diary of everything we do and why.

I absolutely love to watch them grow! Especially that moment they hit their first growth spurt. I started with RO water that is remineralized for drinking purposes. The ppm is only 18! My tap is 156! So considering they don’t need much water, I’ve been stealing some of our drinking water. The RO water starts at pH of 7. After I add the nutrients, ppm of 249 @ pH of 5.8 while soil is still sweet @ pH of 7 I think my days are off as a new week begins on the last day of the previous week. I am going to leave that for consistency. 04/21 - Noticing some possible nutrient issues with the Fruity Pebbles for several days now. Going to see what she needs. Up front I’m thinking maybe just a super small amount of Amino Acids with a little Epsom Salt. Maybe she is struggling to access the nitrates from the neem cake. IF it’s a issues with nitrogen. We will see. Maybe she would benefit from some extra calcium?… Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Day 22 and I am noticing how these girls have been burning up a lot of potassium lately, dealing with the wind and sun 💨 ☀️, getting pushed around all day. I plant to top dress with some Kelp Meal pretty soon. Day 24 -> 4/22/22- a quote from the weather on today’s red flag warning and dust storm warning. “ HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with damaging wind in excess of 60 mph. SOURCE...Satellite imagery. IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.” I’m keeping the girls inside today. Day 26, I was planning to check the runoff on some of these girls, especially the fruity pebbles, however I messed that up as I also top dressed WAY too much of the seaweed bliss. So I flushed with plain RO water at pH of 7 until there was only slight coloration in the runoff. I didn’t check the runoff as a lot has changed with all that flushing. So next watering/feeding I will make sure I check the runoff on multiple plants. So the seaweed bliss with its 17 on potassium, seems to be the most likely culprit for why there is a bronze-ish color on the inside of the new growth. Hopefully a foliar feed of Epsom salts can correct the problem. Inside tent, lights on LOW. Noticing similar pattern in all of them to a degree, most noticeable in the fruity pebbles.

Week 5 of flower and stretch has been excessive in these F1 testers. Buds have been slow to develop and supercroppibg of 3 tops was necessary to maintain canopy consistency. The hollow stems are a good sign of things to come but I will say I was hoping for much better bud development. Perhaps unrealistic with this sativa dominant cross but still. I guess as long as the buds are fire, we’re prepared to deal with less overall yield. The system continues to perform admirably. It’s one major drawback is having to recirculate through an additional drainage pump. The cheap bilge pump we wired into the tray failed and flooded out a portion of the basement - my fault really as I knew the pump was crap and should’ve changed it earlier. Still can’t get past how much more simplistic a gravity dependent system is but despite that - I have no complaints about this equipment and it will get regular use regardless of any future set up changes. Alls good in da hood y’all👌🤟 Strain details She’s a mix of a particularly strong Northern Lights, crossed with a Spicy Bitch sativa hybrid. The hope is that we’ll be able to combine the overtly narcotic effects in the NL and mellow it out somewhat with the quality daytime sativa effects found in the SB. Both strains feature numerous grower qualities. Both parents possessed vigour and resiliency, the SB particularly colourful in late flower. These beans were the product of a shotgun breeding run that presented an unexpected opportunity so there’s quite a bit of testing that should flow from the various F1’s we’ve produced.

First flowers appeared! :) The dehumidifier is still always ON to get +/-50% humidity. Weather is pretty wet outside, it doesn't help. I poor +/- 2l in each pot during each watering (a little bit more for the 26l pots). Second week with 12h of light and the stretch continues! Next week I will do a second big defoliation. Plants heights at the end of the week: Honey Melon Haze : 88cm (+18) O.G. Kush : 60cm (+12) Mandarin Punch #1 : 104cm (+28) Mandarin Punch #2 : 95cm (+24)

If anyone has any advice on how to improve this grow please comment below. thanks for checking out my diary! End of week 3/Day 27: ive been flushing alot before giving nutrients to the plant and it seems to be working, plant health is slowly improving again! Started LST a few nights ago and my plant has lost its christmas tree shape :'D the canopy is more flat and more light is getting to all growth on the plant so im happy! I started giving some rhizotonic near the stem to help with the plant being stressed. it definitely helped make big roots too! So excited to try some buds! another month or so yet :) Day 28 - 20/10/19 LST is amazing! i have almost all the growth getting a decent amount of light! im going to enjoy shaping the plant over the next week or so! Day 31 - 23/10/19 Still doing a light LST, most of the canopy is getting enough light now and the main stem is still growing more nodes. After getting some advice from a grower with the same model of light as me i now know i can hang my light a lot closer to the plants. im going to get rope rachets hooked up in the next week so i can adjust hang height. I also got an indoor chilli starter kit and planted jalapeño, cayenne and habanero seeds in some nice small terra cotta pots :) and i posted a few pictures to show the setup :) just cant wait until the whole tent looks more like a garden hahah :) 12 hours later - Added a video to show progress Day 32: 24/10/19 woke up this morning and the quick one grew upwards out of the LST :) the top has developed and looks more like an industrial weed plant now which is really exciting! ive been following a water schedule and accidentally gave a few more hours of rest to the plants last night and they have stopped drooping more or less. Re-lst'd the plant so all growth is receiving light and measured the space between the plant and grow light. its about 60cm/24Inches away which will do fine. Quick one is 18cm with LST, if i measure the stem itself its about 21-22cm tall - about 9 inches. Other than that the chillis will take up to 2 weeks to germinate, ive been keeping the moisture up around them with a mix of Rhizotonic/Water (1ml/1L) and also sprayed some on the soil as ive found it actually helps seeds germinate quicker with more strength or life in them. Will update soon for week 5 and considering the smoke is so bad in my town you get an urge not to smoke it i am so excited to be near the finish line :) roll on medicine!

12 day dry @ 58-63RH & 60-66F in blacked out dry tent | Glass Jar Cure with Inert gas Early taste test and I actually love this bud, is the best in house strain I've grown so far & the second Platinum cross. Flavorful Funky Sweet Orange cream cereal terps, the texture of the bud is buttery smooth, fluffy and pink/orange color when ground up. Bud has deeply potent effects that is IMO the perfect amount of heavy on the body but still euphoric and creative.. it makes you calm and happy! is checking off so many boxes not even cured, just smelling this batch makes a true connoisseur grin and bag appeal is insane

Tart Pops is powering through week 4 of veg looking strong and vibrant! ✅ I gave her a clean FIM job this week to encourage some lateral growth and bushier structure. She's bounced back well and is showing no signs of stress — nice, tight internodes and solid color throughout. Started preventive IPM routine after spotting spider mites on the Blue Cheese in flower. Spraying Neudosan and Bioneem every few days as a protective measure — so far, Tart Pops is unaffected and looking mint 🍃. The soil’s holding moisture well with good drainage thanks to the perlite mix, and the airflow and spacing are keeping the lower growth healthy too. Looking forward to training her further next week as the new tops take shape. Let’s go Tart Pops! 🚀 #VegLife #FIMSuccess #IPMSchedule #TartPops #HealthyGrowth #PreventPests

Well its the middle of the week and I haven't added any nutes until of yesterday. I woke up the next day and they enjoyed the nutes. Saw a big difference in both the plants. I'm a first time grower so any advice will help. I'm just wondering when to put them into flower.
