Grow Diary Update: Week 5 - Pre-Flowering and LST Evaluation Entering Pre-Flowering Stage At the end of last week, the first pistils appeared, marking the beginning of the pre-flowering stage for my plants 🙌 There's much to manage now. To support optimal stretching, I've adjusted the nutrients following 2/3 of the Terra Aquatica feeding schedule: CalMag: 2 ml/l (Starting EC before adding nutrients: 0.45 mS/cm) Grow: 1.33 ml/l Bloom: 1.0 ml/l Micro: 1.33 ml/l The nutrient solution now has an EC of 1.3 mS/cm (638 ppm PPM-500/TDS) with a pH of 6.1. These adjustments aim to promote vigorous growth and prepare the plants for flowering. Weather and Growth With significant weather improvements, my plants are thriving at full speed. Every centimeter gained now counts towards maximizing the final yield, turning around from the challenging weeks prior. Pest Management I'm fortunate not to have encountered pests like spider mites, aphids, or thrips. However, the persistent snail issue remains. Nightly patrols with a flashlight have been effective, and placing old lettuce leaves away from the plants has helped trap and remove snails, ensuring the plants remain undisturbed. LST Experiment Results The two plants I trained with LST have responded admirably, showing healthy adaptation to the bending and vigorous growth. Yet, I'm at a crossroads regarding the upcoming stretch phase: should I continue to tie down branches to maintain an even canopy or allow natural upward growth to potentially boost vertical yield? Two totally different bud structures on these girls both Gorilla Glue from 420 fastbuds one is also frostier then the other as well both fed exactly the same, same growth medium, same size pot, same nutes...everything. Very cool to see how different 👌

She has smaller flowers this time but more dense, purple fade at the end that indicates shes very blueberry

For our Zamnesia girls It's time to work some magic, since October 1st we are in flowering, the plants have vegetated for exactly 4 weeks, a single top was done on some, others are growing straight, some clones here and there still in veg. This is a very good test nice color nice all is going very good. Week 10 was more like week 11 but I dunno how to change the pics. I’ve really lost track of how long it’s been after stunting them so badly a couple months ago. I’m giving them 8 weeks (at least) in flower each regardless.

4-12-20: last week of veg before switching to 12-12.

This was the easiest to grow. Shook off light stress and hard water to produce more yield than any of the others. Will be growing again. Dense, golf ball size nuggets.

So I'm seeing some yellow tips, also on the new growth and I'm a little surprised because I'm not feeding that much tbh...at least I think I'm not.... reading up a bit, not sure if its nute burn or something else... got some cal-mag anyway , seeing i'll need it soon.. Tthe Northern Lights is going up like crazy! it has a completely different 'build' to it, much wider and distances then the more compact Diesel. Held off on the feeding, just distilled water ...but maybe 'll just switch to tap water, leaving it outside for a night or two...no more root booster....seems a little redundant.

Baked bomb is doing great. She got a few spots on the leaves from getting wet. It is not anything I am worried about. She will only get so big in this potter. I imagine she will still turn out nice size if I keep up on her. She got her first lst and selective defoliation. She has been getting fed about every other day with ph water put on to keep wet between feeding. She is good to go. Soaked 7.27 for 36ishhrs, into paper towel for 12 hrs then into a solo cup with greentree garden supply pro ultra (coco/perlite). No plan on veg time I dont know when I'll have an open tent for flower but it could be a very quick veg kinda pheno hunt deal. First feed was a diluted leftover feed from my auto youngins. Basically about 1 ml/g of grow, 7ml/g humid acid, 1ml/g more roots, 1ml/g orca, cannazyme, hydroguard and a sprinkle of living organics in the nutes and on the top of the coco. Usually the ppm will be higher than I want it so I just dilute with r/o water until I'm down to 200-250. It makes it so I cant be accurate on ratios so that's why I'm tellin ya, but it's how I always do it no matter what nutes I use.
