Week 8: the last week of veg for Gigi! During these days I've started watering normally again with ph'd water and some additive. This week was really flat: nothing bad or good happened, I think it's time to put her 12/12 and start the flowering session. I'll defoliate the next week, she need some chill before the light change. I'm troubleshooting with my reflex and pc right now, this old stuff doesn't work. 😑 However I've managed to do something. Making some beats and growing right now and I'm feeling good after work😁

Fast and SIMPLE patio grow, perfect for an impatient grower. 72 days from seed to harvest. Could have taken some of the branches at 68-70d. Responded well to pinching back growth to encourage branching. Tested yield by leaving one plant natural and pinching back the other. Pinching back produced way more bud and the plant didn’t seem to mind. The smaller plant only produced 8 bud clusters and those were fairly airy, but showed amber hues a little sooner. Maybe she got less light than the bigger plant. They were both LOW on sunlight. The last 3 weeks of the grow were non-stop rain and storms, very little sunlight. So the girls didn’t stack ‘em up like I wanted. Gotta have light to make bud!! Vegetative growth the first 8 weeks was phenomenal. It wasn’t until the rains set in that progress slowed to a crawl. They were a few feet apart and both facing the equator with daylight to dark exposure. The sun itself wouldn’t cooperate though. Both plants were fed and watered the same. Soil was the same etc.... Only used commonly available garden center nutes. Wanted to demonstrate that a person could take the leap with their first patio grow without having to invest in a lot of special grow stuff. You can! but you at least need decent sunlight. I didn’t weigh the fresh harvest very accurately. I took whole stems to hang them by, and my good scale isn’t that big. I used a bathroom scale and weighed myself holding an empty box and the box again with the harvested plant difference was about 3 lbs. Once I trimmed off the fan leaves and cut it off the roots and trunk it was under a pound. I won’t trim them super tight because very little of it will be smoked, most will be used to make infusions, but I’ll remove as much stem as possible. Curing and storing in C-vault with 62% Boveda packs.

The Afghani has filled out really well. The smell coming from this plant is sweet and skunky. The cold night temperatures are causing the leaves to turn purple and some of the hairs are starting to turn orange. I'm having a hard time with identifying the difference between milky and clear trichomes. They look cloudy to me with a few areas that are still clear. I'm hoping to harvest next week but I may have to go another week.

So this grow came to a finshed but I had a. Few issues that’s held me up from finishing up the diary, but in due time I will reupload it all in order soon. But over all I will also update with a final weigh in of each strain produced so stay tuned 🤙🏻🔥

I think she was the most pleasant to grow of her location but due to no other spare space for drying I belive that I have harvested her at least a week to early. RESUMEN DE CULTIVO: Esta cepa es brutal, resiste muy bien las manipulaciones y genera cogollos grandes y prietos, también soporta una fertilización poco controlada y ligeramente excesiva. Perfecta para alguien con pocos conocimientos (este es mi primer cultivo) OLOR: No tiene un olor fuerte, una buena opción para quien necesita disimular el olor del cultivo. SABOR: Su perfil de terpenos es muy bueno pero suave, varia en funcion de la planta, algunas tenían un sabor ligero, especiado y tirando a lo picante pero una en particular si sacó matices de olor y sabor muy dulces y afurtados entre el mango y el platano realmente buenos, me encantaría tener una madre de ese ejemplar. EFECTOS: Tiene altos porcentajes de THC, a tumbado a más de un amigo, me parece una buena opción si buscas una variedad potente. LO MALO: Poco malo tengo que decir, aunque tampoco es tan sabrosa como me hubiera gustado. Seguiré buscando otras variedades pero seguro que repito.

Again, added silicate to this grow too, probably should have done only one first to see how it does. Time will tell. Did some super cropping on this grow too, seems to work. The plant under to cobbs seems to be doing slightly better. Not really sure as they are just over a week longer into flower. I am tracking this and will know more at the end. Buds are building and a pretty sight. Going to water less and more frequently, lets see how that goes. Also during flower I am not going to let them dry out as much. Maybe half way, as best I can and then water again. Cheers

So Day 16 F i had to let go 2 of my girls, they turn out hermafrodite and i don't want to rist my crop, the whether is to freaking Hot and i have no A.C. so 2 of the Kush Clones are out, leving me with one Kush, one white Mango, one Poyote Gorila, 2 Blue Berry and seven Super Gluees. They all look preety good and they keep streetching every day as they should :) Lets see were they stop. Stay safe Peace out D

Gave each medium around 15L water flushing, Will continue to give only water for the next 14 days or so. Flush began 30tht August.
