START WEEK 03/29/22 +Started with some Medium Defoliation this week. Sort of spooky. The girls don't enjoy being jacked around. However, they seemed to have recovered nicely. I'm relieved. +Saw some real stretch the past week, beginning to form buds, pretty amazing and fun to watch the girls grow! +I do realize my plants are different sizes because of experimentation. Not a good idea in practice but great learning. 2 plants have been ScrOG, topped, fimmed, supercrop, you name it. 1 plant just fimmed and 1 plant untouched. The results speak for themselves. 2 plants really wind up being trellised and natural. I hope I can make some decent and consistent buds to make "sort of" final comparison. +bumped ppm to 1200 +beginning to smell VERY strong. +I will do some leaf picking (not enough to consider defoliation) this week just to expose a few more sites. These plants have been extremely bushy and a challenge for a Newbie like me. +Basically, I am just letting the plants do their thing. $Organoman $M0use $QuickOne $gottagrowsometime THANKS FOR THE ANSWERS TO MY QUESTION LOTS OF HELP. BASICALLY, THE SAME CONCEPT. PROBABLY DIDN'T DO ENOUGH DEFOLIATION BUT IT GETS A BIT SCAREY (WHEN EVERYTHING DROOPS) AND I DO SORT OF SUBSCRIBE TO "LESS IS MORE" . May be incorrect but at least on this 1st grow it will probable be my practice. THINKING OUT LOUD ?Should I? Can I? supplement red spectrum light? I have the ability just don't know if it is necessary. Also, might just be curious to see how my newly purchased light flowers. It's claims to be full spectrum? ?Do I need any additional boosters or additives? They appear to veg very well but I would like to make sure they get what they need to flower. ?Should I be popping seed for my next grow? Gotta get me a nice dedicated Veg light. Or maybe try autos?

Week 7 for Lemon Orange by Greenhouseseedco, End of week 7 for this cultivar, defenetely keeping 2 at 16tops then 1 at 8 tops will be interesting seeing the different on yield on those. But do have to say for now the 8 tops is a little slower on growth compared to the other 2 but could be lack of leaf for energy. Now just let them grow up....

How was your week ! Mine has been awesome , the fact that the buds are gaining some weight and increasing their size is totally amusing. This week , the buds are getting a lot bigger compared to the recent week . She still loves to grow single blade leaves , by now i am really not sure if it’s the strain or the nutes that is making her producing so much sugar leaves instead of developing buds. The reason i am suspecting the nutes is because some of the leaves are showing signs of nitrogen toxicity (dark colour and droopy tips) . The ph of the reservoir is balanced now , she is drinking up water but the ppm is a little bit higher . I tried to give her plain water several times because i saw some burning tips (PPM around 1300-1500) . I use my 60x loop to inspect the trichomes , she seems to have loads of trichome and a few milky ones. So i really don’t know how long she will take but to me it seems like she is not even close to being done. BTW , check my last picture , i think there is something wrong with her . I spotted about 20 leaves which have this kind of burn , please help me indicate what is up.

in this past week I have defoliated the plants about 40% I have lost some leaves which have turned yellow I think the plants lack nitrogen due to the stretch the buds started to smell good. for nitrogen I add coffee grounds to keep away the pests and it is rich in nitrogen. the hardest part is fighting the humidity it’s been raining for a week 😭 humidity is the worst enemy I much prefer heat. see you soon

I did not add nutrients this week, but I did transplant to a 45 gallon pot and added more FFOF soil. There were strong winds reaching 38-40mph; no damage due to the wind. I did notice some damage on the leaves, but this was due to a soap solution I sprayed on the plants that was too strong combined with condensation and high temperatures. I am also being careful of controlling the caterpillar population. I don't tent or screen so I have to deal with all types of insects and issues outdoors throughout the year. I want to believe that the more natural the grow, the better the final product. Final comment this week is that plentiful watering during wind and heat storms goes a long way with the plant. She can take a lot if given the right nutrition and hydration. The smell is intensifying and the buds are starting to form. A long way still from harvest...about 16 to 18 weeks approximately. Getting several monarch butterflies visiting.

Ok so I put a significant amount of time into this grow. Learned a ton (everything lol) as it was my first. After the final week, I decided to harvest when the trichs were milky and clear. Few amber here and there but time constraints meant I had to chop a bit earlier than I’d have preferred. I do prefer a more uplifting cerebral effect yet realize with an indica leaning strain, having all cloudy and maybe 25% amber would have been 👌🏼. My drying process began by chopping a plant at a time, I washed the buds to get the PM or traces off (also grime from outdoor city air). I used a big bucket and did hydrogen peroxide. In heindsight I would have used baking soda as well and did a two step wash. After washing them, I hung to dry with a fan until they stopped dripping then into the tent they went for drying at roughly 68 degrees and 55% humidity. I staggered the harvest and wet trimmed about 70% of the time with the latter 30% dry trimmed. This was done for convenience and to try both ways. I dried everything for about 12-13 days until the smallest stems snapped and the larger ones were borderline cracking. I started jarring everything with humidity meters, about a half oz per smaller widemiuth jam jar. The smell was never hay-like but did vary in strength and scent from plant to plant. Almost no seeds which was pretty great to see. One of the outdoor plants had quite a few seeds so I kept that separate. It ironically had the stinkiest floral smell. So what’s the total!! After curing in jars for about a month, I weighted everything and came out with 10.5oz of cured trimmed flower and about 2 oz of sugar leaf trim which I am making canna butter with and cooking. Made some reduculously strong cookies: 11 cookies from about 10 grams of trim. Ate two and was medicated for about 24hrs 😂. Some of the buds were super dense and cured down to 58 RH easily. There were a few of the large big buds that had mass but less density and fewer trichomes. These were more red-hair visually than the others. The smoke: surprisingly smooth. The effect is energizing and uplifting at first, with a nice sedative body feeling on the second half of things. Overall, I’m super happy with the result. Learned a TON and will be modifying my approach a bit next go-around this spring. Stay tuned!!!

I’m not 100% done collecting all the data. By the smell of it, this plant will be one of the dankest plants I’ve ever grown. More to come. Tuesday, September 5 I have the nugs in jars right now. Hopefully I didn’t let it dry too much. Right now the humidity is at around 52% but I think if I move the jar around a bit I can them to sweat a bit more.

Hello friends! Thank you for visiting! 👋 🌿 The strongman continues to gain strength. There are still 4 weeks ahead. -The plant eats well, drinks 4 liters of fertilizer solution every day. Rinsing with water with pH 6 twice a week. -Very dense inflorescences and a lot of resin. -A strong smell of peppermint appeared. Перевести страницу

This week I’ve noticed a couple of fungus gnats on site. Not so happy, but I will keep my eye on the situation.

Yesterday was a big day! I finally upgraded her to the 4x4 tent with a 650W light, moving from the cozy 3x3 with a 300W. 🎉 During the transition, I made a few rookie mistakes that led to some discoloration on the upper canopy leaves. But hey, no worries! As @autopotamus wisely says, “We’re growing flowers, not just leaves.” A little defoliation is part of the journey, and she’ll bounce back stronger than ever! 💪 Every experience is a lesson or a blessing. This time, I learned! 🌟 What lessons have you all picked up on your growing adventures? Let’s keep sharing and growing together!

Plant is still alive. I believe some sort of genetic mutation has caused this plant to react the way it has outdoors. I have cut neurmours clones that grow and flower normally inside. The mother plant (seen in pic) and ever clone planted outdoors had a negative reaction to being brought outdoors. I have treated for and ruled out mites. Interested for opinions. Thanks growdaddy!
